Matthew 5
1 And Jhesus, seynge the puple, wente vp in to an hil; and whanne he was set, hise disciplis camen to hym.
Vida pak Ježíš zástupy, vstoupil na horu; a když se posadil, přistoupili k němu učedlníci jeho.
2 And he openyde his mouth, and tauyte hem, and seide,
I otevřev ústa svá, učil je, řka:
3 Blessed ben pore men in spirit, for the kyngdom of heuenes is herne.
Blahoslavení chudí duchem, nebo jejich jest království nebeské.
4 Blessid ben mylde men, for thei schulen welde the erthe.
Blahoslavení lkající, nebo oni potěšeni budou.
5 Blessid ben thei that mornen, for thei schulen be coumfortid.
Blahoslavení tiší, nebo oni dědictví obdrží na zemi.
6 Blessid ben thei that hungren and thristen riytwisnesse, for thei schulen be fulfillid.
Blahoslavení, kteříž lačnějí a žíznějí spravedlnosti, nebo oni nasyceni budou.
7 Blessid ben merciful men, for thei schulen gete merci.
Blahoslavení milosrdní, nebo oni milosrdenství důjdou.
8 Blessid ben thei that ben of clene herte, for thei schulen se God.
Blahoslavení čistého srdce, nebo oni Boha viděti budou.
9 Blessid ben pesible men, for thei schulen be clepid Goddis children.
Blahoslavení pokojní, nebo oni synové Boží slouti budou.
10 Blessid ben thei that suffren persecusioun for riytfulnesse, for the kingdam of heuenes is herne.
Blahoslavení, kteříž protivenství trpí pro spravedlnost, nebo jejich jest království nebeské.
11 `Ye schulen be blessid, whanne men schulen curse you, and schulen pursue you, and shulen seie al yuel ayens you liynge, for me.
Blahoslavení budete, když vám zlořečiti budou a protivenství činiti, a mluviti všecko zlé o vás, lhouce, pro mne.
12 Ioie ye, and be ye glad, for youre meede is plenteuouse in heuenes; for so thei han pursued `also profetis that weren bifor you.
Radujte se a veselte se, nebo odplata vaše hojná jest v nebesích. Takť zajisté protivili se prorokům, kteříž byli před vámi.
13 Ye ben salt of the erthe; that if the salt vanysche awey, whereynne schal it be saltid? To no thing it is worth ouere, no but that it be cast out, and be defoulid of men.
Vy jste sůl země. Jestliže sůl zmařena bude, čím bude osolena? K ničemuž se nehodí více, než aby byla ven vyvržena a od lidí pošlapána.
14 Ye ben liyt of the world; a citee set on an hil may not be hid;
Vy jste světlo světa. Nemůžeť město na hoře ležící skryto býti.
15 ne me teendith not a lanterne, and puttith it vndur a busschel, but on a candilstike, that it yyue liyt to alle that ben in the hous.
Aniž rozsvěcují svíce a stavějí ji pod kbelec, ale na svícen; i svítí všechněm, kteříž jsou v domě.
16 So schyne youre liyt befor men, that thei se youre goode werkis, and glorifie youre fadir that is in heuenes.
Tak svěť světlo vaše před lidmi, ať vidí skutky vaše dobré, a slaví Otce vašeho, kterýž jest v nebesích.
17 Nil ye deme, that Y cam to vndo the lawe, or the profetis; Y cam not to vndo the lawe, but to fulfille.
Nedomnívejte se, že bych přišel rušiti zákona aneb proroků. Nepřišelť jsem rušiti, ale naplniti.
18 Forsothe Y seie to you, til heuene and erthe passe, o lettir or o titel shal not passe fro the lawe, til alle thingis be doon.
Amen zajisté pravím vám: Dokudž nepomine nebe i země, jediná literka aneb jeden puňktík nepomine z zákona, až se všecky věci stanou.
19 Therfor he that brekith oon of these leeste maundementis, and techith thus men, schal be clepid the leste in the rewme of heuenes; `but he that doith, and techith, schal be clepid greet in the kyngdom of heuenes.
Protož zrušil-li by kdo jedno z přikázaní těchto nejmenších, a učil by tak lidi, nejmenší slouti bude v království nebeském. Kdož by pak koli činil i učil, ten veliký slouti bude v království nebeském.
20 And Y seie to you, that but your riytfulnesse be more plenteuouse than of scribis and of Farisees, ye schulen not entre into the kyngdom of heuenes.
Nebo pravím vám: Nebude-liť hojnější spravedlivost vaše nežli zákonníků a farizeů, nikoli nevejdete do království nebeského.
21 Ye han herd that it was seid to elde men, Thou schalt not slee; and he that sleeth, schal be gilti to doom.
Slyšeli jste, že říkáno jest starým: Nezabiješ. Pakli by kdo zabil, povinen trpěti soud.
22 But Y seie to you, that ech man that is wrooth to his brothir, schal be gilti to doom; and he that seith to his brother, Fy! schal be gilti to the counseil; but he that seith, Fool, schal be gilti to the fier of helle. (Geenna g1067)
Ale jáť pravím vám: Že každý, kdož se hněvá na bratra svého bez příčiny, musí trpěti soud. Kdož by pak řekl bratru svému: Rácha, povinen bude před radou státi; a kdož by řekl: Blázne, musí pekelný oheň trpěti. (Geenna g1067)
23 Therfor if thou offrist thi yifte `at the auter, and ther thou bithenkist, that thi brothir hath sum what ayens thee,
Protož obětoval-li bys dar svůj na oltář, a tu bys se rozpomenul, že bratr tvůj má něco proti tobě:
24 leeue there thi yifte bifor the auter, and go first to be recounselid to thi brothir, and thanne thou schalt come, and schalt offre thi yifte.
Nechejž tu daru svého před oltářem a odejdi; prvé smiř se s bratrem svým, a potom přijda, obětuj dar svůj.
25 Be thou consentynge to thin aduersarie soone, while thou art in the weie with hym, lest perauenture thin aduersarie take thee to the domesman, and the domesman take thee to the mynystre, and thou be sent in to prisoun.
Vejdi v dobrou vůli s protivníkem svým rychle, dokudž jsi s ním na cestě, aťby snad nedal tebe protivník tvůj soudci, a soudce dal by tě služebníku, a byl bys uvržen do žaláře.
26 Treuli Y seie to thee, thou shalt not go out fro thennus, til thou yelde the last ferthing.
Amen pravím tobě: Nevyjdeš odtud, dokudž i posledního haléře nenavrátíš.
27 Ye han herd that it was seid to elde men, Thou schalt `do no letcherie.
Slyšeli jste, že říkáno bylo starým: Nezcizoložíš.
28 But Y seie to you, that euery man that seeth a womman for to coueite hir, hath now do letcherie bi hir in his herte.
Ale jáť pravím vám: Že každý, kdož by pohleděl na ženu ku požádání jí, již zcizoložil s ní v srdci svém.
29 That if thi riyt iye sclaundre thee, pulle hym out, and caste fro thee; for it spedith to thee, that oon of thi membris perische, than that al thi bodi go in to helle. (Geenna g1067)
Jestliže pak oko tvé pravé horší tě, vylup je a vrz od sebe; neboť jest užitečněji tobě, aby zahynul jeden oud tvůj, než by celé tělo tvé uvrženo bylo do ohně pekelného. (Geenna g1067)
30 And if thi riyt hond sclaundre thee, kitte hym aweye, and caste fro thee; for it spedith to thee that oon of thi membris perische, than that al thi bodi go in to helle. (Geenna g1067)
A pakli ruka tvá pravá horší tě, utni ji a vrz od sebe; nebo užitečněji jest tobě, aby zahynul jeden oud tvůj, než by všecko tělo tvé uvrženo bylo do pekelného ohně. (Geenna g1067)
31 And it hath be seyd, Who euere leeueth his wijf, yyue he to hir a libel of forsakyng.
Též řečeno jest: Kdož by koli propustil manželku svou, aby jí dal lístek rozloučení.
32 But Y seie to you, that euery man that leeueth his wijf, outtakun cause of fornycacioun, makith hir to do letcherie, and he that weddith the forsakun wijf, doith auowtrye.
Jáť pak pravím vám: Že kdožkoli propustil by manželku svou, kromě příčiny cizoložstva, uvodí ji v cizoložstvo, a kdož propuštěnou pojme, cizoloží.
33 Eftsoone ye han herd, that it was seid to elde men, Thou schalt not forswere, but thou schalt yelde thin othis to the Lord.
Opět slyšeli jste, že říkáno bylo starým: Nebudeš křivě přisahati, ale splníš Pánu přísahy své.
34 But Y seie to you, that ye swere not `for ony thing; nethir bi heuene, for it is the trone of God;
Ale jáť pravím vám: Abyste nepřisahali všelijak, ani skrze nebe, nebo trůn Boží jest;
35 nether bi the erthe, for it is the stole of his feet; nether bi Jerusalem, for it is the citee of a greet kyng; nether thou shalt not swere bi thin heed,
Ani skrze zemi, nebo podnož jeho jest; ani skrze Jeruzalém, nebo město velikého toho Krále jest.
36 for thou maist not make oon heere white, ne blacke;
Ani skrze hlavu svou budeš přisahati, nebo nemůžeš jednoho vlasu učiniti bílého aneb černého.
37 but be youre word, Yhe, yhe; Nay, nay; and that that is more than these, is of yuel.
Ale buď řeč vaše: Jistě, jistě; nikoli, nikoli. Což pak nad to více jest, to od zlého jest.
38 Ye han herd that it hath be seid, Iye for iye, and tothe for tothe.
Slyšeli jste, že říkáno bylo: Oko za oko, a zub za zub.
39 But Y seie to you, that ye ayenstonde not an yuel man; but if ony smyte thee in the riyt cheke, schewe to him also the tothir;
Jáť pak pravím vám: Abyste neodpírali zlému. Ale udeří-li tě kdo v pravé líce tvé, nasaď jemu i druhého.
40 and to hym that wole stryue with thee in doom, and take awey thi coote, leeue thou `to him also thi mantil;
A tomu, kdož se s tebou chce souditi a sukni tvou vzíti, nech mu i pláště.
41 and who euer constreyneth thee a thousynde pacis, go thou with hym othir tweyne.
A nutil-li by tě kdo míli jednu, jdi s ním dvě.
42 Yyue thou to hym that axith of thee, and turne not awey fro hym that wole borewe of thee.
A prosícímu tebe dej, a od toho, kdo by chtěl vypůjčiti od tebe, neodvracuj se.
43 Ye han herd that it was seid, Thou shalt loue thi neiybore, and hate thin enemye.
Slyšeli jste, že říkáno bylo: Milovati budeš bližního svého, a nenáviděti budeš nepřítele svého.
44 But Y seie to you, loue ye youre enemyes, do ye wel to hem that hatiden you, and preye ye for hem that pursuen, and sclaundren you;
Ale jáť vám pravím: Milujte nepřátely své, dobrořečte těm, kteříž vás proklínají, dobře čiňte nenávidícím vás, a modlte se za ty, kteříž vás utiskují a vám se protiví,
45 that ye be the sones of your fadir that is in heuenes, that makith his sunne to rise vpon goode `and yuele men, and reyneth on iust men and vniuste.
Abyste byli synové Otce svého, kterýž jest v nebesích; nebo slunci svému velí vzchoditi na dobré i na zlé, a déšť dává na spravedlivé i na nespravedlivé.
46 For if ye louen hem that louen you, what mede schulen ye han? whether pupplicans doon not this?
Nebo milujete-li ty, kdož vás milují, jakou odplatu máte? Zdaliž i publikáni téhož nečiní?
47 And if ye greten youre britheren oonli, what schulen ye do more? ne doon not hethene men this?
A budete-li pozdravovati toliko bratří svých, což více činíte? Však i publikáni to činí.
48 Therfore be ye parfit, as youre heuenli fadir is parfit.
Buďtež vy tedy dokonalí, jako i Otec váš, kterýž jest v nebesích, dokonalý jest.
