Matthew 27
1 But whanne the morowtid was comun, alle the princis of prestis, and the eldre men of the puple token counsel ayens Jhesu, that thei schulden take hym to the deeth.
௧விடியற்காலமானபோது, எல்லாப் பிரதான ஆசாரியர்களும் மக்களின் மூப்பர்களும், இயேசுவைக் கொலைசெய்யும்படி, அவருக்கு விரோதமாக ஆலோசனைசெய்து,
2 And thei ledden him boundun, and bitoken to Pilat of Pounce, iustice.
௨அவரைக் கட்டி, கொண்டுபோய், தேசாதிபதியாகிய பொந்தியுபிலாத்துவினிடத்தில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்கள்.
3 Thanne Judas that bitraiede hym, say that he was dampned, he repentide, and brouyte ayen the thretti pans to the princis of prestis, and to the elder men of the puple,
௩அப்பொழுது, அவரைக் காட்டிக்கொடுத்த யூதாஸ், அவர் மரணதண்டனைக்குள்ளாகத் தீர்க்கப்பட்டதைப் பார்த்து, மனஸ்தாபப்பட்டு, அந்த முப்பது வெள்ளிக்காசை பிரதான ஆசாரியர்களிடத்திற்கும் மூப்பர்களிடத்திற்கும் திரும்பக் கொண்டுவந்து:
4 and seide, Y haue synned, bitraiynge riytful blood. And thei seiden, What to vs? bise thee.
௪குற்றமில்லாத இரத்தத்தை நான் காட்டிக்கொடுத்ததினால் பாவம் செய்தேன் என்றான். அதற்கு அவர்கள்: எங்களுக்கென்ன, அது உன்னுடைய பாடு என்றார்கள்.
5 And whanne he hadde cast forth the siluer in the temple, he passide forth, and yede, and hongide hym silf with a snare.
௫அப்பொழுது, அவன் அந்த வெள்ளிக்காசை தேவாலயத்திலே தூக்கி எரிந்துவிட்டு, புறப்பட்டுப்போய், நான்றுகொண்டு செத்தான்.
6 And the princis of prestis token the siluer, and seide, It is not leueful to putte it in to the treserie, for it is the prijs of blood.
௬பிரதான ஆசாரியர்கள் அந்த வெள்ளிக்காசை எடுத்து: இது இரத்தத்தின் விலையென்பதால், காணிக்கைப்பெட்டியிலே இதைப் போடுவது நியாயமில்லையென்று சொல்லி,
7 And whanne thei hadden take counsel, thei bouyten with it a feeld of a potter, in to biryyng of pilgrymys.
௭ஆலோசனை செய்தபின்பு, அந்நியர்களை அடக்கம் செய்வதற்குக் குயவனுடைய நிலத்தை அதினாலே வாங்கினார்கள்.
8 Herfor thilke feeld is clepid Acheldemac, that is, a feeld of blood, in to this dai.
௮இதினிமித்தம் அந்த நிலம் இந்தநாள்வரை இரத்தநிலம் எனப்படுகிறது.
9 Thanne that was fulfillid, that was seid bi the prophete Jeremye, seiynge, And thei han takun thretti pans, the prijs of a man preysid, whom thei preiseden of the children of Israel;
௯இஸ்ரவேல் பிள்ளைகளால் மதிக்கப்பட்டவருக்குக் விலையாக முப்பது வெள்ளிக்காசை அவர்கள் எடுத்து,
10 and thei yauen hem in to a feeld of a potter, as the Lord hath ordenyd to me.
௧0கர்த்தர் எனக்குக் கற்பித்தபடி குயவனுடைய நிலத்திற்காக அதைக் கொடுத்தார்கள் என்று எரேமியா தீர்க்கதரிசியால் சொல்லப்பட்டது அப்பொழுது நிறைவேறியது.
11 And Jhesus stood bifor the domesman; and the iustice axide him, and seide, Art thou king of Jewis?
௧௧இயேசு தேசாதிபதிக்கு முன்பாக நின்றார்; தேசாதிபதி அவரைப் பார்த்து: நீ யூதர்களுடைய ராஜாவா என்று கேட்டான். அதற்கு இயேசு: நீர் சொல்லுகிறபடிதான் என்றார்.
12 Jhesus seith to hym, Thou seist. And whanne he was accusid of the princis of prestis, and of the eldere men of the puple, he answeride no thing.
௧௨பிரதான ஆசாரியர்களும் மூப்பர்களும் அவர்மேல் குற்றஞ்சாட்டும்போது, அவர் பதில் ஒன்றும் சொல்லவில்லை.
13 Thanne Pilat seith to him, Herist thou not, hou many witnessyngis thei seien ayens thee?
௧௩அப்பொழுது, பிலாத்து அவரைப் பார்த்து: இவர்கள் உன்மேல் எத்தனையோ குற்றங்களைச் சுமத்துகிறார்களே, நீ அவைகளைக் கேட்கவில்லையா என்றான்.
14 And he answeride not `to hym ony word, so that the iustice wondride greetli.
௧௪அவரோ ஒரு வார்த்தையும் பதில் சொல்லவில்லை; அதனால் தேசாதிபதி மிகவும் ஆச்சரியப்பட்டான்.
15 But for a solempne dai the iustice was wont to delyuere to the puple oon boundun, whom thei wolden.
௧௫காவல்செய்யப்பட்டவர்களில் எவனை விடுதலையாக்க வேண்டுமென்று மக்கள் கேட்டுக்கொள்ளுவார்களோ, அவனை அவர்களுக்காக விடுதலையாக்குவது பண்டிகைதோறும் தேசாதிபதிக்கு வழக்கமாக இருந்தது.
16 And he hadde tho a famous man boundun, that was seid Barrabas.
௧௬அப்பொழுது காவல்செய்யப்பட்டவர்களில் பரபாஸ் என்னப்பட்ட பேர்போன ஒருவன் இருந்தான்.
17 Therfor Pilate seide to hem, whanne thei weren to gidere, Whom wolen ye, that Y delyuere to you? whether Barabas, or Jhesu, that is seid Crist?
௧௭பொறாமையினாலே அவரை ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்கள் என்று பிலாத்து அறிந்து,
18 For he wiste, that bi enuye thei bitraieden hym.
௧௮அவர்கள் கூடியிருக்கும்போது, அவர்களைப் பார்த்து: எவனை நான் உங்களுக்கு விடுதலையாக்க வேண்டுமென்றிருக்கிறீர்கள்? பரபாசையோ? கிறிஸ்து எனப்படுகிற இயேசுவையோ? என்று கேட்டான்.
19 And while he sat for domesman, his wijf sente to hym, and seide, No thing to thee and to that iust man; for Y haue suffrid this dai many thingis for hym, bi a visioun.
௧௯அவன் நியாயாசனத்தில் உட்கார்ந்திருக்கும்போது, அவனுடைய மனைவி அவனிடத்தில் ஆள் அனுப்பி: நீர் அந்த நீதிமானை ஒன்றும் செய்யவேண்டாம்; அவர்நிமித்தம் இன்றைக்கு கனவில் வெகு பாடுபட்டேன் என்று சொல்லச் சொன்னாள்.
20 Forsothe the prince of prestis, and the eldere men counseiliden the puple, that thei schulden axe Barabas, but thei schulden distrye Jhesu.
௨0பரபாசை விட்டு விடக் கேட்டுக் கொள்ளவும், இயேசுவைக் கொலை செய்யவும் பிரதான ஆசாரியர்களும் மூப்பர்களும் மக்களைத் தூண்டிவிட்டார்கள்.
21 But the iustice answeride, and seide to hem, Whom of the tweyn wolen ye, that be delyuerit to you? And thei seiden, Barabas.
௨௧தேசாதிபதி மக்களைப் பார்த்து: இவ்விருவரில் எவனை நான் உங்களுக்கு விடுதலையாக்கவேண்டும் என்று கேட்டான். அதற்கு அவர்கள்: பரபாசை என்றார்கள்.
22 Pilat seith to hem, What thanne schal Y do of Jhesu, that is seid Crist?
௨௨பிலாத்து அவர்களைப் பார்த்து: அப்படியானால், கிறிஸ்து என்னப்பட்ட இயேசுவை நான் என்னசெய்யவேண்டும் என்று கேட்டான். அவனைச் சிலுவையில் அறையவேண்டும் என்று எல்லோரும் சொன்னார்கள்.
23 Alle seien, `Be he crucified. The iustice seith to hem, What yuel hath he doon? And thei crieden more, and seiden, Be he crucified.
௨௩தேசாதிபதியோ: ஏன், என்ன பொல்லாப்புச் செய்தான் என்றான். அதற்கு அவர்கள்: அவனைச் சிலுவையில் அறையவேண்டும் என்று அதிகமதிகமாக சத்தமிட்டுச் சொன்னார்கள்.
24 And Pilat seynge that he profitide no thing, but that the more noyse was maad, took watir, and waischide hise hondis bifor the puple, and seide, Y am giltles of the blood of this riytful man; bise you.
௨௪கலவரம் அதிகமாகிறதேயல்லாமல் தன் முயற்சியினாலே பலன் இல்லையென்று பிலாத்து பார்த்து, தண்ணீரை அள்ளி, மக்களுக்கு முன்பாக கைகளைக் கழுவி: இந்த நீதிமானுடைய இரத்தப்பழிக்கு நான் குற்றமற்றவன், நீங்களே பார்த்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள் என்றான்.
25 And al the puple answeride, and seide, His blood be on vs, and on oure children.
௨௫அதற்கு மக்களெல்லோரும்: இவனுடைய இரத்தப்பழி எங்கள்மேலும் எங்களுடைய பிள்ளைகள்மேலும் இருப்பதாக என்று சொன்னார்கள்.
26 Thanne he deliuerede to hem Barabas, but he took to hem Jhesu scourgid, to be crucified.
௨௬அப்பொழுது, அவன் பரபாசை அவர்களுக்கு விடுதலையாக்கி, இயேசுவையோ சாட்டையினால் அடித்து, சிலுவையில் அறைவதற்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தான்.
27 Thanne knyytis of the iustice token Jhesu in the moot halle, and gadriden to hym al the cumpeny `of knyytis.
௨௭அப்பொழுது, தேசாதிபதியின் போர்வீரர்கள் இயேசுவைத் தேசாதிபதியின் அரண்மனையிலே கொண்டுபோய், போர்வீரர்களின் கூட்டம் முழுவதையும் அவரிடத்தில் கூடிவரச்செய்து,
28 And thei vnclothiden hym, and diden aboute hym a reed mantil;
௨௮அவருடைய மேலாடைகளைக் கழற்றி, சிவப்பான மேலாடையை அவருக்கு உடுத்தி,
29 and thei foldiden a coroun of thornes, and putten on his heed, and a rehed in his riyt hoond; and thei kneliden bifore hym, and scornyden hym, and seiden, Heil, kyng of Jewis.
௨௯முள்ளுகளால் ஒரு கிரீடத்தைச் செய்து, அவர் தலையின்மேல் வைத்து, அவருடைய வலது கையில் ஒரு கோலைக் கொடுத்து, அவர் முன்பாக முழங்காற்படியிட்டு: யூதர்களுடைய ராஜாவே, வாழ்க என்று அவரைக் கேலிசெய்தபின்பு,
30 And thei speten on hym, and tooken a rehed, and smoot his heed.
௩0அவர்மேல் துப்பி, அந்தக் கோலை எடுத்து, அவரைத் தலையில் அடித்தார்கள்.
31 And aftir that thei hadden scorned him, thei vnclothiden hym of the mantil, and thei clothiden hym with hise clothis, and ledden hym to `crucifien hym.
௩௧அவரைக் கேலிசெய்தபின்பு, அவருக்கு உடுத்தின மேலாடையைக் கழற்றி, அவருடைய ஆடைகளை அவருக்கு உடுத்தி, அவரைச் சிலுவையில் அறையும்படி கொண்டுபோனார்கள்.
32 And as thei yeden out, thei founden a man of Cirenen comynge fro the toun, Symont bi name; thei constreyneden hym to take his cross.
௩௨போகும்போது, சிரேனே ஊரானாகிய சீமோன் என்னப்பட்ட ஒரு மனிதனை அவர்கள் பார்த்து, அவருடைய சிலுவையைச் சுமக்கும்படி அவனைப் பலவந்தம் செய்தார்கள்.
33 And thei camen in to a place that is clepid Golgatha, that is, the place of Caluarie.
௩௩கபாலஸ்தலம் என்று அர்த்தங்கொள்ளும் கொல்கொதா என்னும் இடத்திற்கு அவர்கள் வந்தபோது,
34 And thei yauen hym to drynke wyne meynd with galle; and whanne he hadde tastid, he wolde not drynke.
௩௪கசப்புக்கலந்த காடியை அவருக்குக் குடிக்கக் கொடுத்தார்கள்; அவர் அதை ருசிபார்த்து, குடிக்க மனதில்லாதிருந்தார்.
35 And aftir that thei hadden crucified hym, thei departiden his clothis, and kesten lotte, to fulfille that is seid bi the prophete, seiynge, Thei partiden to hem my clothis, and on my clooth thei kesten lott.
௩௫அவரை சிலுவையில் அறைந்தபின்பு, அவர்கள் சீட்டுப்போட்டு அவருடைய ஆடைகளைப் பங்கிட்டுக் கொண்டார்கள். என் ஆடைகளைத் தங்களுக்குள்ளே பங்கிட்டு, என் உடையின் பேரில் சீட்டுப்போட்டார்கள் என்று தீர்க்கதரிசியால் சொல்லப்பட்டது நிறைவேறும்படி இப்படி நடந்தது.
36 And thei seten, and kepten him;
௩௬அவர்கள் அங்கே உட்கார்ந்து, அவரைக் காவல்காத்துக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்.
37 and setten aboue his heed his cause writun, This is Jhesu of Nazareth, kyng of Jewis.
௩௭அன்றியும் அவர் அடைந்த தண்டனையின் காரணத்தைக் காண்பிக்கும்படியாக, இவன் யூதர்களுடைய ராஜாவாகிய இயேசு என்று எழுதி, அவர் தலைக்கு மேலாக வைத்தார்கள்.
38 Thanne twey theues weren crucified with hym, oon on the riythalf, and oon on the lefthalf.
௩௮அப்பொழுது, அவருடைய வலதுபக்கத்தில் ஒருவனும் அவருடைய இடதுபக்கத்தில் ஒருவனுமாக இரண்டு திருடர்கள் அவரோடுகூட சிலுவைகளில் அறையப்பட்டார்கள்.
39 And men that passiden forth blasfemeden hym,
௩௯அந்தவழியாக நடந்துபோகிறவர்கள் தங்களுடைய தலைகளைத் துலுக்கி:
40 mouynge her heedis, and seiynge, Vath to thee, that distriest the temple of God, and in the thridde dai bildist it ayen; saue thou thi silf; if thou art the sone of God, come doun of the cross.
௪0தேவாலயத்தை இடித்து, மூன்று நாட்களுக்குள்ளே கட்டுகிறவனே, உன்னைநீயே இரட்சித்துக்கொள்; நீ தேவனுடைய குமாரனானால் சிலுவையிலிருந்து இறங்கிவா என்று அவரைப் பழித்தார்கள்.
41 Also and princis of prestis scornynge, with scribis and elder men,
௪௧அப்படியே பிரதான ஆசாரியர்களும் வேதபண்டிதர்களும் மூப்பர்களும் கேலிசெய்து:
42 seiden, He made othere men saaf, he may not make hym silf saaf; if he is kyng of Israel, come he now doun fro the crosse, and we bileuen to hym;
௪௨மற்றவர்களை இரட்சித்தான்; தன்னைத்தான் இரட்சித்துக்கொள்ளத் திராணியில்லை; இவன் இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவானால் இப்பொழுது சிலுவையிலிருந்து இறங்கிவரட்டும், அப்பொழுது இவனை விசுவாசிப்போம்.
43 he tristide in God; delyuer he hym now, if he wole; for he seide, That Y am Goddis sone.
௪௩தன்னைத் தேவனுடைய குமாரன் என்று சொல்லி, தேவன்மேல் நம்பிக்கையாக இருந்தானே; அவர் இவன்மேல் பிரியமாக இருந்தால் இப்பொழுது இவனை இரட்சிக்கட்டும் என்றார்கள்.
44 And the theues, that weren crucified with hym, vpbreididen hym of the same thing.
௪௪அவரோடுகூட சிலுவைகளில் அறையப்பட்டத் திருடர்களும் அந்தப்படியே அவரை நிந்தித்தார்கள்.
45 But fro the sixte our derknessis weren maad on al the erthe, to the nynthe our.
௪௫நண்பகல் பன்னிரண்டு மணிமுதல் மதியம் மூன்று மணிவரைக்கும் பூமியெங்கும் அந்தகாரம் உண்டானது.
46 And aboute the nynthe our Jhesus criede with a greet vois, and seide, Heli, Heli, lamazabatany, that is, My God, my God, whi hast thou forsake me?
௪௬மூன்று மணியளவில் இயேசு: ஏலீ! ஏலீ! லாமா சபக்தானி, என்று மிகுந்த சத்தமிட்டுக் கூப்பிட்டார்; அதற்கு என் தேவனே! என் தேவனே! ஏன் என்னைக் கைவிட்டீர் என்று அர்த்தமாம்.
47 And summen that stoden there, and herynge, seiden, This clepith Helye.
௪௭அங்கே நின்றவர்களில் சிலர் அதைக் கேட்டபொழுது: இவன் எலியாவைக் கூப்பிடுகிறான் என்றார்கள்.
48 And anoon oon of hem rennynge, took and fillide a spounge with vynegre, and puttide on a rehed, and yaf to hym to drynke.
௪௮உடனே அவர்களில் ஒருவன் ஓடி, கடற்பஞ்சை எடுத்து, காடியில் தோய்த்து, அதை ஒரு கோலில் மாட்டி. அவருக்குக் குடிக்கக்கொடுத்தான்.
49 But othir seiden, Suffre thou; se we whether Helie come to deliuer hym.
௪௯மற்றவர்களோ: பொறு, எலியா இவனை இரட்சிக்க வருவானோ, பார்ப்போம் என்றார்கள்.
50 Forsothe Jhesus eftsoone criede with a greet voyce, and yaf vp the goost.
௫0இயேசு, மறுபடியும் மகா சத்தமாகக் கூப்பிட்டு, ஆவியை விட்டார்.
51 And lo! the veil of the temple was to-rent in twey parties, fro the hiest to the lowest. And the erthe schoke, and stoonus weren cloue; and birielis weren openyd,
௫௧அப்பொழுது, தேவாலயத்தின் திரைத்துணி மேல்தொடங்கிக் கீழ்வரைக்கும் இரண்டாகக் கிழிந்தது, பூமியும் அதிர்ந்தது, கன்மலைகளும் பிளந்தது.
52 and many bodies of seyntis that hadden slepte, rysen vp.
௫௨கல்லறைகளும் திறந்தது, மரித்திருந்த அநேக பரிசுத்தவான்களுடைய சரீரங்களும் எழுந்திருந்தது.
53 And thei yeden out of her birielis, and aftir his resurreccioun thei camen in to the holi citee, and apperiden to many.
௫௩அவர் உயிர்த்தெழுந்தபின்பு, இவர்கள் கல்லறைகளைவிட்டுப் புறப்பட்டு, பரிசுத்த நகரத்தில் பிரவேசித்து, அநேகருக்குக் காணப்பட்டார்கள்.
54 And the centurien and thei that weren with hym kepinge Jhesu, whanne thei saien the erthe schakynge, and tho thingis that weren doon, thei dredden greetli,
௫௪நூறு போர்வீரர்களுக்குத் தலைவனும், அவனோடுகூட இயேசுவைக் காவல் காத்திருந்தவர்களும், பூமியதிர்ச்சியையும் நடந்த காரியங்களையும் பார்த்து, மிகவும் பயந்து: உண்மையாகவே இவர் தேவனுடைய குமாரன் என்றார்கள்.
55 and seiden, Verili this was Goddis sone. And ther weren there many wymmen afer, that sueden Jhesu fro Galilee, and mynystriden to hym.
௫௫மேலும், இயேசுவிற்கு பணிவிடைசெய்யும்படி கலிலேயாவிலிருந்து அவரோடு வந்திருந்த அநேக பெண்கள் அங்கே தூரத்திலே நின்று பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்.
56 Among whiche was Marie Magdalene, and Marie, the modir of James, and of Joseph, and the modir of Zebedees sones.
௫௬அவர்களுக்குள்ளே மகதலேனா மரியாளும், யாக்கோபுக்கும், யோசேப்புக்கும் தாயாகிய மரியாளும், செபெதேயுவின் குமாரர்களுடைய தாயும் இருந்தார்கள்.
57 But whanne the euenyng was come, ther cam a riche man of Armathi, Joseph bi name, and he was a disciple of Jhesu.
௫௭மாலைநேரமானபோது, இயேசுவிற்குச் சீடனும் செல்வந்தனுமாகவும் இருந்த யோசேப்பு என்னும் பேருடைய அரிமத்தியா ஊரானாகிய ஒரு மனிதன் வந்து,
58 He wente to Pilat, and axide the bodi of Jhesu.
௫௮பிலாத்துவினிடத்தில்போய், இயேசுவின் சரீரத்தைக் கேட்டான். அப்பொழுது, சரீரத்தைக் கொடுக்கும்படி பிலாத்து கட்டளையிட்டான்.
59 Thanne Pilat comaundide the bodie to be youun. And whanne the bodi was takun, Joseph lappide it in a clene sendel,
௫௯யோசேப்பு அந்த சரீரத்தை எடுத்து, தூய்மையான மெல்லிய துப்பட்டியிலே சுற்றி,
60 and leide it in his newe biriel, that he hadde hewun in a stoon; and he walewide a greet stoon to the dore of the biriel, and wente awei.
௬0தான் கன்மலையில் வெட்டியிருந்த தன்னுடைய புதிய கல்லறையிலே அதை வைத்து, கல்லறையின் வாசலில் ஒரு பெரிய கல்லைப் புரட்டி வைத்துப்போனான்.
61 But Marie Maudelene and anothir Marie weren there, sittynge ayens the sepulcre.
௬௧அங்கே மகதலேனா மரியாளும் மற்ற மரியாளும் கல்லறைக்கு எதிராக உட்கார்ந்திருந்தார்கள்.
62 And on `the tother dai, that is aftir pask euen, the princis of prestis and the Farisees camen togidere to Pilat,
௬௨ஆயத்தநாளுக்கு அடுத்த மறுநாளிலே பிரதான ஆசாரியர்களும் பரிசேயர்களும் பிலாத்துவினிடத்தில் கூடிவந்து:
63 and seiden, Sir, we han mynde, that thilke giloure seide yit lyuynge, Aftir thre daies Y schal rise ayen to lijf.
௬௩ஆண்டவனே, அந்த ஏமாற்றுக்காரன் உயிரோடிருக்கும்போது, மூன்று நாட்களுக்குப்பின்பு உயிரோடு எழுந்திருப்பேன் என்று சொன்னது எங்களுக்கு ஞாபகம் இருக்கிறது.
64 Therfor comaunde thou, that the sepulcre be kept in to the thridde dai; lest hise disciplis comen, and stelen hym, and seie to the puple, He hath rise fro deeth; and the laste errour schal be worse than the formere.
௬௪ஆகவே, அவனுடைய சீடர்கள் இரவிலே வந்து, அவனைத் தந்திரமாகக் கொண்டுபோய், மரித்தோரிலிருந்து உயிரோடு எழுந்தானென்று மக்களுக்குச் சொல்லாதபடிக்கும், முந்தின வஞ்சனையைவிட பிந்தின வஞ்சனை கொடிதாகாதபடிக்கும், நீர் மூன்று நாட்கள்வரை கல்லறையைப் பாதுகாக்கும்படி கட்டளையிடவேண்டும் என்றார்கள்.
65 Pilat seide to hem, Ye han the kepyng; go ye, kepe ye as ye kunnen.
௬௫அதற்குப் பிலாத்து: உங்களுக்குக் காவல் வீரர்கள் உண்டே; போய், உங்களால் முடிந்தவரைப் பாதுகாத்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள் என்றான்.
66 And thei yeden forth, and kepten the sepulcre, markynge the stoon, with keperis.
௬௬அவர்கள்போய்க் கல்லுக்கு முத்திரைபோட்டு, காவல்வைத்து, கல்லறையைப் பாதுகாத்தார்கள்.
