Matthew 24
1 And Jhesus wente out of the temple; and his disciplis camen to hym, to schewe hym the bildyngis of the temple.
Și ieșind, Isus a plecat din templu; și discipolii lui au venit la el să îi arate clădirile templului.
2 But he answeride, and seide to hem, Seen ye alle these thingis? Treuli Y seie to you, a stoon schal not be left here on a stoon, that ne it schal be destried.
Dar Isus le-a spus: Nu vedeți toate acestea? Adevărat vă spun: Nu va fi lăsată aici piatră pe piatră, care să nu fie dărâmată.
3 And whanne he satte on the hille of Olyuete, hise disciplis camen to hym priueli, and seiden, Seie vs, whanne these thingis schulen be, and what token of thi comyng, and of the ending of the world. (aiōn g165)
Și pe când ședea el pe muntele Măslinilor, discipolii au venit la el la o parte, zicând: Spune-ne, când vor fi acestea? Și care va fi semnul venirii tale și al sfârșitului lumii? (aiōn g165)
4 And Jhesus answeride, and seide to hem, Loke ye, that no man disseyue you.
Și Isus a răspuns și le-a zis: Luați seama să nu vă înșele cineva.
5 For many schulen come in my name, and schulen seie, Y am Crist; and thei schulen disseyue manye.
Fiindcă mulți vor veni în numele meu, spunând: Eu sunt Cristos; și pe mulți îi vor înșela.
6 For ye schulen here batels, and opyniouns of batels; se ye that ye be not disturblid; for it byhoueth these thingis to be don, but not yit is the ende.
Și veți auzi de războaie și zvonuri de războaie; vedeți să nu fiți tulburați; fiindcă toate trebuie să se întâmple, dar încă nu este sfârșitul.
7 Folk schal rise togidere ayens folc, and rewme ayens rewme, and pestilences, and hungris, and the erthemouyngis schulen be bi placis;
Fiindcă se va ridica națiune contra națiune și împărăție contra împărăție; și vor fi foamete și molime și cutremure de pământ în diferite locuri.
8 and alle these ben bigynnyngis of sorewes.
Dar toate acestea sunt începutul durerilor.
9 Thanne men schulen bitake you in to tribulacion, and schulen sle you, and ye schulen be in hate to alle folk for my name.
Atunci vă vor preda ca să fiți chinuiți și vă vor ucide; și veți fi urâți de toate națiunile din cauza numelui meu.
10 And thanne many schulen be sclaundrid, and bitraye ech other, and thei schulen hate ech other.
Și atunci mulți vor fi poticniți și se vor trăda unii pe alții și se vor urî unii pe alții.
11 And many false prophetis schulen rise, and disseyue manye.
Și mulți profeți falși se vor ridica și vor înșela pe mulți.
12 And for wickidnesse schal `be plenteuouse, the charite of manye schal wexe coold;
Și pentru că nelegiuirea va abunda, dragostea celor mai mulți se va răci.
13 but he that schal dwelle stable in to the ende, schal be saaf.
Dar cel ce va îndura până la sfârșit, acela va fi salvat.
14 And this gospel of the kyngdom schal be prechid in al the world, in witnessyng to al folc;
Și această evanghelie a împărăției va fi predicată în toată lumea, pentru mărturie la toate națiunile; și atunci va veni sfârșitul.
15 and thanne the ende schal come. Therfor whanne ye se the abhomynacioun of discomfort, that is seid of Danyel, the prophete, stondynge in the hooli place; he that redith, vndirstonde he;
De aceea când veți vedea urâciunea pustiirii, spusă prin Daniel, profetul, stând în picioare în locul sfânt, (cine citește să înțeleagă);
16 thanne thei that ben in Judee, fle to the mounteyns; and he that is in the hous roof,
Atunci, cei din Iudeea, să fugă în munți;
17 come not doun to take ony thing of his hous; and he that is in the feeld,
Cel de pe acoperiș să nu coboare în casă, să ia vreun lucru din casa lui;
18 turne not ayen to take his coote.
Și nici cel de pe câmp să nu se întoarcă să își ia hainele.
19 But wo to hem that ben with child, and nurischen in tho daies.
Și vai celor însărcinate și celor ce alăptează în acele zile.
20 Preye ye, that youre fleyng be not maad in wynter, or in the saboth.
Dar rugați-vă ca nu cumva fuga voastră să fie iarna sau într-un sabat.
21 For thanne schal be greet tribulacioun, what maner `was not fro the bigynnyng of the world to now, nether schal be maad.
Fiindcă atunci va fi necaz mare, cum nu a fost de la începutul lumii până acum și nu va mai fi niciodată.
22 And but tho daies hadden be abreggide, ech flesch schulde not be maad saaf; but tho daies schulen be maad schort, for the chosun men.
Și dacă acele zile nu ar fi scurtate, nici[o] făptură nu ar fi salvată; dar acele zile vor fi scurtate din cauza celor aleși.
23 Thanne if ony man seie to you, Lo! here is Crist, or there, nyle ye bileue.
Atunci dacă cineva vă va spune: Iată, aici este Cristos, sau acolo; să nu credeți.
24 For false Cristis and false prophetis schulen rise, and thei schulen yyue grete tokenes and wondrys; so that also the chosun be led in to erroure, if it may be done.
Fiindcă se vor ridica Cristoși falși și profeți falși și vor arăta semne mari și minuni, încât să înșele, dacă ar fi posibil, chiar pe cei aleși.
25 Lo! Y haue bifor seid to you.
Iată, v-am spus dinainte.
26 Therfor if thei seie to you, Lo! he is in desert, nyle ye go out; lo! in priuey placis, nyle ye trowe.
De aceea dacă ei vă spun: Iată, este în pustie, nu vă duceți. Iată, este în cămăruțe tainice, nu credeți.
27 For as leit goith out fro the eest, and apperith in to the weste, so schal be also the coming of mannus sone.
Pentru că așa cum fulgerul vine de la răsărit și strălucește până la apus, așa va fi și venirea Fiului omului.
28 Where euer the bodi schal be, also the eglis schulen be gaderid thidur.
Fiindcă oriunde este trupul mort, acolo se vor aduna vulturii.
29 And anoon after the tribulacioun of tho daies, the sunne schal be maad derk, and the moone schal not yyue hir liyt, and the sterris schulen falle fro heuene, and the vertues of heuenes schulen be moued.
Imediat după necazul acelor zile, soarele va fi întunecat și luna nu își va da lumina și stelele vor cădea din cer și puterile cerurilor vor fi clătinate;
30 And thanne the tokene of mannus sone schal appere in heuene, and thanne alle kynredis of the erthe schulen weile; and thei schulen see mannus sone comynge in the cloudis of heuene, with miche vertu and maieste.
Și atunci se va arăta în cer semnul Fiului omului; și atunci, toate semințiile pământului vor jeli și vor vedea pe Fiul omului venind pe norii cerului cu putere și mare glorie;
31 And he schal sende hise aungels with a trumpe, and a greet vois; and thei schulen gedere hise chosun fro foure wyndis, fro the hiyest thingis of heuenes to the endis of hem.
Și va trimite pe îngerii săi cu mare sunet de trâmbiță și vor strânge pe aleșii săi din cele patru vânturi, de la o margine a cerului până la cealaltă.
32 And lerne ye the parable of a fige tre. Whanne his braunche is now tendir, and the leeues ben sprongun, ye witen that somer is nyy;
Acum învățați o parabolă a smochinului; când lăstarul lui este încă fraged și dă frunze, știți că vara este aproape.
33 `so and ye whanne ye seen alle these thingis, wite ye that it is nyy, in the yatis.
Tot așa și voi, când veți vedea toate acestea, să știți că este aproape, chiar la uși.
34 Treuli Y seie to you, for this generacioun schal not passe, til alle thingis be don;
Adevărat vă spun: Această generație nicidecum nu va trece până se vor întâmpla toate acestea.
35 heuene and erthe schulen passe, but my wordis schulen not passe.
Cerul și pământul vor trece, dar cuvintele mele nicidecum nu vor trece.
36 But of thilke dai and our no man wote, nethir aungels of heuenes, but the fadir aloone.
Dar, despre acea zi și oră, nu știe nimeni, nici îngerii din cer, ci numai Tatăl meu.
37 But as it was in the daies of Noe, so schal be the comyng of mannus sone.
Și așa cum au fost zilele lui Noe, tot așa va fi și venirea Fiului omului.
38 For as in the daies bifore the greet flood, thei weren etynge and drynkynge, weddynge and takynge to weddyng, to that dai, that Noe entride in to the schippe;
Fiindcă, așa cum a fost în zilele dinainte de potop, mâncau și beau, se însurau și se măritau, până în ziua când a intrat Noe în arcă,
39 and thei knewen not, til the greet flood cam, and took alle men, so schal be the comyng of mannus sone.
Și nu au știut, până când a venit potopul și i-a luat pe toți; așa va fi și venirea Fiului omului.
40 Thanne tweyne schulen be in o feeld, oon schal be takun, and another left;
Atunci, doi vor fi la câmp; unul va fi luat și celălalt lăsat.
41 twey wymmen schulen be gryndynge in o queerne, oon schal be takun, and `the tother left; tweyn in a bedde, `the toon schal be takun, and the tother left.
Două femei vor măcina la moară; una va fi luată și cealaltă lăsată.
42 Therfor wake ye, for ye witen not in what our the Lord schal come.
Vegheați așadar, pentru că nu știți în ce oră vine Domnul vostru.
43 But wite ye this, that if the hosebonde man wiste in what our the thefe were to come, certis he wolde wake, and suffre not his hous to be vndurmyned.
Dar să știți aceasta, că dacă ar fi știut stăpânul casei la ce oră ar veni hoțul, ar fi vegheat și nu ar fi permis să îi fie spartă casa.
44 And therfor be ye redi, for in what our ye gessen not, mannus sone schal come.
Din această cauză fiți și voi pregătiți, pentru că la o astfel de oră la care nu vă gândiți, vine Fiul omului.
45 Who gessist thou is a trewe seruaunt and prudent, whom his lord ordeyned on his meynee, to yyue hem mete in tyme?
Atunci cine este robul credincios și înțelept, pe care l-a pus domnul său peste casa lui, ca să le dea mâncarea la timp?
46 Blessed is that seruaunt, whom `his lord, whanne he schal come, schal fynde so doynge.
Binecuvântat este acel rob, pe care domnul său, când vine, îl va găsi făcând astfel.
47 Treuli Y seye to you, for on alle his goodis he schal ordeyne hym.
Adevărat vă spun că îl va face stăpân peste toate averile sale.
48 But if thilke yuel seruaunt seie in his herte, My lord tarieth to come,
Dar dacă acel rob rău va spune în inima lui: Domnul meu întârzie să vină;
49 and bigynneth to smyte hise euen seruauntis, and ete, and drynke with drunken men;
Și va începe să îi bată pe părtașii de robie și să mănânce și să bea cu bețivii;
50 the lord of that seruaunt schal come in the dai which he hopith not, and in the our that he knowith not,
Domnul acelui rob va veni într-o zi când el nu se așteaptă la aceasta și la o oră pe care nu o știe,
51 and schal departe hym, and putte his part with ypocritis; there schal be wepyng, and gryntyng of teeth.
