Matthew 22
1 And Jhesus answeride, and spak eftsoone in parablis to hem,
೧ಯೇಸು ಪುನಃ ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಸಾಮ್ಯರೂಪವಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ,
2 and seide, The kyngdom of heuenes is maad lijk to a kyng that made weddyngis to his sone.
೨“ಪರಲೋಕ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ತನ್ನ ಮಗನ ಮದುವೆಯ ಔತಣವನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಿದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಹೋಲಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.
3 And he sente hise seruauntis for to clepe men that weren bode to the weddyngis, and thei wolden not come.
೩ಅವನು ಮದುವೆಗೆ ಆಹ್ವಾನಿತರಾಗಿದ್ದವರನ್ನು ಕರೆಯುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ತನ್ನ ಆಳುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು, ಆದರೆ ಬರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮನಸ್ಸಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
4 Eftsoone he sente othere seruauntis, and seide, Seie ye to the men that ben bode to the feeste, Lo! Y haue maad redi my meete, my bolis and my volatilis ben slayn, and alle thingis ben redy; come ye to the weddyngis.
೪ಅರಸನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಬೇರೆ ಆಳುಗಳನ್ನು ಕರೆದು, ‘ನೀವು ಊಟಕ್ಕೆ ಆಹ್ವಾನಿತರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಇಗೋ, ಔತಣ ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆ; ನನ್ನ ಎತ್ತುಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಕೊಬ್ಬಿದ ಹೋರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ವಧಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆ; ಮದುವೆಯ ಔತಣಕ್ಕೆ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ’ ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿರೆಂದು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.
5 But thei dispisiden, and wenten forth, oon in to his toun, anothir to his marchaundise.
೫ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಆಹ್ವಾನವನ್ನು ಅಲಕ್ಷ್ಯಮಾಡಿ, ಒಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ಹೊಲಕ್ಕೆ ಒಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು;
6 But othere helden his seruauntis, and turmentiden hem, and slowen.
೬ಉಳಿದವರು ಅವನ ಆಳುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಅವಮಾನಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಂದು ಹಾಕಿದರು.
7 But the kyng, whanne he hadde herd, was wroth; and he sente hise oostis, and he distruyede tho manquelleris, and brente her citee.
೭ಅರಸನು ಅದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ, ಸಿಟ್ಟುಗೊಂಡು, ತನ್ನ ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಆ ಕೊಲೆಗಾರರನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿ ಅವರ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಸುಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟನು.
8 Thanne he seide to hise seruauntis, The weddyngis ben redi, but thei that weren clepid to the feeste, weren not worthi.
೮ಆಗ ತನ್ನ ಆಳುಗಳಿಗೆ, ‘ಮದುವೆಯ ಔತಣವು ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆ ಸರಿ, ಆದರೆ ಆಹ್ವಾನಿತರು ಯೋಗ್ಯರಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
9 Therfor go ye to the endis of weies, and whom euere ye fynden, clepe ye to the weddyngis.
೯ಆದುದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ಈಗ ಮುಖ್ಯರಸ್ತೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಕಂಡ ಕಂಡವರನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮದುವೆಯ ಔತಣಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆಯಿರಿ’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
10 And hise seruauntis yeden out in to weies, and gadriden togider alle that thei founden, good and yuele; and the bridale was fulfillid with men sittynge at the mete.
೧೦ಆ ಆಳುಗಳು ಮುಖ್ಯರಸ್ತೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟವರು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವರೆನ್ನದೇ ಕಂಡವರನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಒಟ್ಟುಗೂಡಿಸಿ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದರು. ಹೀಗೆ ಮದುವೆಯ ಮಂಟಪವು ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿಹೋಯಿತು.
11 And the kyng entride, to se men sittynge at the mete; and he siye there a man not clothid with bride cloth.
೧೧ಆಮೇಲೆ ಅರಸನು ಅತಿಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಒಳಗೆ ಬಂದನು, ಮದುವೆಯ ಔತಣಕ್ಕೆ ತಕ್ಕ ವಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿಕೊಳ್ಳದ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಅರಸನು,
12 And he seide to hym, Freend, hou entridist thou hidir with out bride clothis? And he was doumbe.
೧೨ಅವನಿಗೆ ‘ಸ್ನೇಹಿತನೇ, ಮದುವೆಯ ಬಟ್ಟೆ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ನೀನಿಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಗೆ ಒಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದೆ?’ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು ಅವನು ಮೌನವಾಗಿದ್ದನು.
13 Thanne the kyng bad hise mynystris, Bynde hym bothe hondis and feet, and sende ye him in to vtmer derknessis; there schal be wepyng and grentyng of teeth.
೧೩ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ, ‘ಅವನ ಕೈಕಾಲು ಕಟ್ಟಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಕತ್ತಲೆಗೆ ನೂಕಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಗೋಳಾಟವೂ ಕಟಕಟನೆ ಹಲ್ಲು ಕಡಿಯೋಣವೂ ಇರುವವು.’
14 For many ben clepid, but fewe ben chosun.
೧೪ಹೀಗೆ ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರು ಬಹು ಜನ, ಆರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಜನ” ಅಂದನು.
15 Thanne Farisees yeden awei, and token a counsel to take Jhesu in word.
೧೫ಅನಂತರ ಫರಿಸಾಯರು ಹೊರಟು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಮಾತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಸೋಣ ಎಂದು ಕೂಡಿ ಆಲೋಚಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು
16 And thei senden to hym her disciplis, with Erodians, and seien, Maister, we witen, that thou art sothefast, and thou techist in treuthe the weie of God, and thou chargist not of ony man, for thou biholdist not the persoone of men.
೧೬ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಶಿಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ಹೆರೋದ್ಯರ ಜೊತೆಮಾಡಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದರು. ಇವರು ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ, “ಗುರುವೇ, ನೀನು ಸತ್ಯವಂತನು, ದೇವರ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಸತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಬೋಧಿಸುವವನು, ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಹೆದರದವನು; ನೀನು ಜನರ ದಾಕ್ಷಿಣ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ತಕ್ಕಂತೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುವವನಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಬಲ್ಲೆವು.
17 Therfor seie to vs, what it seemeth to thee. Is it leueful that tribute be youun to the emperoure, ether nay?
೧೭ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ಕೈಸರನಿಗೆ ಸುಂಕ ಕೊಡುವುದು ನಿಯಮ ಬದ್ಧವೋ? ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಗೆ ತೋರುತ್ತದೆ? ನಮಗೆ ಹೇಳು” ಅಂದರು.
18 And whanne Jhesus hadde knowe the wickidnesse of hem, he seide, Ypocritis, what tempten ye me?
೧೮ಯೇಸು ಅವರ ಕೆಡುಕನ್ನು ಅರಿತುಕೊಂಡವನಾಗಿ, “ಕಪಟಿಗಳೇ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಏಕೆ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಮಾಡುತ್ತೀರಿ?
19 Schewe ye to me the prynte of the money. And thei brouyten to hym a peny.
೧೯ಸುಂಕಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡುವ ನಾಣ್ಯವನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ತೋರಿಸಿರಿ” ಅನ್ನಲು ಅವರು ಆತನಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ನಾಣ್ಯವನ್ನು ತಂದು ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
20 And Jhesus seide to hem, Whos is this ymage, and the writyng aboue?
೨೦ಆತನು, “ಈ ಸ್ವರೂಪವು ಈ ಮುದ್ರೆಯೂ ಯಾರದು?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ
21 Thei seien to hym, The emperouris. Thanne he seide to hem, Therfor yelde ye to the emperoure tho thingis that ben the emperouris, and to God tho thingis that ben of God.
೨೧ಅವರು, “ಕೈಸರನದು” ಅಂದರು. ಆಗ ಆತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಕೈಸರನದನ್ನು ಕೈಸರನಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಿರಿ; ದೇವರದನ್ನು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಿರಿ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
22 And thei herden, and wondriden; and thei leften hym, and wenten awey.
೨೨ಅವರು ಈ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟು ಆತನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋದರು.
23 In that dai Saduceis, that seien there is no risyng ayen to lijf, camen to hym, and axiden him,
೨೩ಅದೇ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಪುನರುತ್ಥಾನವಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ವಾದಿಸುವ ಕೆಲವು ಸದ್ದುಕಾಯರು ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು.
24 and seiden, Mayster, Moises seide, if ony man is deed, not hauynge a sone, that his brother wedde his wijf, and reise seed to his brothir.
೨೪ಇವರು ಆತನಿಗೆ, “ಬೋಧಕನೇ, ‘ಒಬ್ಬನು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಸತ್ತರೆ ಅವನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ಅವನ ತಮ್ಮನು ಮದುವೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ತನ್ನ ಅಣ್ಣನಿಗೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಬೇಕೆಂದು ಮೋಶೆಯು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾನೆ.’
25 And seuen britheren weren at vs; and the firste weddide a wijf, and is deed. And he hadde no seed, and lefte his wijf to his brother;
೨೫ಆದರೆ ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಏಳು ಮಂದಿ ಸಹೋದರರಿದ್ದರು. ಮೊದಲನೆಯವನು ಮದುವೆ ಆಗಿ ತೀರಿಹೋದನು. ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಲ್ಲದ ಕಾರಣ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ತಮ್ಮನಿಗೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟನು;
26 also the secounde, and the thridde, til to the seuenthe.
೨೬ಅದರಂತೆ ಎರಡನೆಯವನೂ ಮೂರನೆಯವನೂ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಏಳನೆಯವನ ವರೆಗೂ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
27 But the laste of alle, the woman is deed.
೨೭ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರು ಸತ್ತ ಮೇಲೆ ಆ ಹೆಂಗಸೂ ಸತ್ತಳು.
28 Also in the risyng ayen to lijf, whos wijf of the seuene schal sche be? for alle hadden hir.
೨೮ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಪುನರುತ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕೆ ಆ ಏಳು ಮಂದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾಗಿರುವಳು? ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಮದುವೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರಲ್ಲಾ” ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿದರು.
29 Jhesus answeride, and seide to hem, Ye erren, `and ye knowen not scripturis, ne the vertu of God.
೨೯ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನೀವು ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನಾದರೂ ದೇವರ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನಾದರೂ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ತಪ್ಪು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದೀರಿ;
30 For in the rysyng ayen to lijf, nether thei schulen wedde, nethir schulen be weddid; but thei ben as the aungels of God in heuene.
೩೦ಪುನರುತ್ಥಾನವಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಮದುವೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ, ಮದುವೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡುವುದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ; ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ದೇವದೂತರಂತೆ ಅವರು ಇರುತ್ತಾರೆ.
31 And of the risyng ayen of deed men, `han ye not red, that is seid of the Lord, that seith to you,
೩೧ಸತ್ತವರ ಪುನರುತ್ಥಾನದ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾದರೆ,
32 Y am God of Abraham, and God of Ysaac, and God of Jacob? he is not God of deede men, but of lyuynge men.
೩೨‘ನಾನು ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ದೇವರು, ಇಸಾಕನ ದೇವರು, ಯಾಕೋಬನ ದೇವರು’ ಎಂದು ದೇವರು ನಿಮಗೆ ನುಡಿದಿದ್ದನ್ನು ನೀವು ಓದಲಿಲ್ಲವೇ. ಆತನು ಸತ್ತವರಿಗೆ ದೇವರಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೆ ಜೀವಿಸುವವರಿಗೆ ದೇವರಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
33 And the puple herynge, wondriden in his techynge.
೩೩ಜನರ ಗುಂಪು ಅದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಆತನ ಬೋಧನೆಗೆ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟರು.
34 And Fariseis herden that he hadde put silence to Saduceis, and camen togidere.
೩೪ಯೇಸು ಸದ್ದುಕಾಯರನ್ನು ಸದ್ದಿಲ್ಲದವರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ಫರಿಸಾಯರು ಕೇಳಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿ ಬಂದರು.
35 And oon of hem, a techere of the lawe, axide Jhesu, and temptide him,
೩೫ಅವರಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಧರ್ಮೋಪದೇಶಕನು ಆತನನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು,
36 Maistir, which is a greet maundement in the lawe?
೩೬“ಗುರುವೇ, ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ಆಜ್ಞೆ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾದದ್ದು” ಎಂದು ಆತನನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ
37 Jhesus seide to him, Thou schalt loue thi Lord God, of al thin herte, and in al thi soule, and in al thi mynde.
೩೭ಯೇಸು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “‘ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾಗಿರುವ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಪೂರ್ಣಹೃದಯದಿಂದಲೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಪೂರ್ಣಪ್ರಾಣದಿಂದಲೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಪೂರ್ಣಮನಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಬೇಕು’
38 This is the firste and the moste maundement.
೩೮ಎಂಬ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯೇ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾದದ್ದು ಮತ್ತು ಮೊದಲನೆಯದು.
39 And the secounde is lijk to this; Thou schalt loue thi neiyebore as thi silf.
೩೯ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮಾನವಾದ ಎರಡನೆಯ ಆಜ್ಞೆ ಯಾವುದೆಂದರೆ, ‘ನಿನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನಂತೆಯೇ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಬೇಕು’ ಎಂಬುದೇ.
40 In these twey maundementis hangith al the lawe and the profetis.
೪೦ಈ ಎರಡು ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಧರ್ಮನಿಯಮವೂ ಪ್ರವಾದನಾಗ್ರಂಥಗಳೂ ಆಧಾರವಾಗಿವೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
41 And whanne the Farisees weren gederid togidere, Jhesus axide hem,
೪೧ಫರಿಸಾಯರು ಕೂಡಿಬಂದಿರಲಾಗಿ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ,
42 and seide, What semeth to you of Crist, whos sone is he? Thei seien to hym, Of Dauid.
೪೨“ಬರಬೇಕಾದ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಗೆ ತೋರುತ್ತದೆ? ಆತನು ಯಾರ ಮಗನು?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ
43 He seith to hem, Hou thanne Dauid in spirit clepith hym Lord,
೪೩ಅವರು ಆತನಿಗೆ, “ದಾವೀದನ ಮಗನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆತನು, “ಹಾಗಾದರೆ, ದಾವೀದನೇ ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮನ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆಯಿಂದ ಆತನನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನು ಎಂದು ಕರೆದಿದ್ದಾನಲ್ಲಾ, ಅದು ಹೇಗೆ?
44 and seith, The Lord seide to my Lord, Sitte on my riythalf, til Y putte thin enemyes a stool of thi feet?
೪೪“‘ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ವಿರೋಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಪಾದಗಳ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಹಾಕುವ ತನಕ ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಬಲಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡಿರು’ ಎಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನಿಗೆ ನುಡಿದನು.
45 Thanne if Dauid clepith hym Lord, hou is he his sone?
೪೫ಈ ಮಾತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದಾವೀದನೇ ಆತನನ್ನು ‘ಕರ್ತನೆಂದು’ ಕರೆದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆತನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮಗನಾಗುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ?” ಅಂದನು.
46 And no man miyte answere a word to hym, nethir ony man was hardi fro that day, to axe hym more.
೪೬ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಯಾರೂ ಒಂದು ಮಾತನ್ನಾದರೂ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಲಾರದೆ ಹೋದರು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅಂದಿನಿಂದ ಆತನನ್ನು ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಲು ಯಾರೂ ಧೈರ್ಯಪಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
