Matthew 17
1 And after sixe daies Jhesus took Petre, and James, and Joon, his brother, and ledde hem aside in to an hiy hil,
In črez šest dnî vzeme Jezus Petra in Jakoba in Janeza brata njegovega, ter jih odpelje same posebej na visoko goro,
2 and was turned in to an othir licnesse bifor hem. And his face schone as the sunne; and hise clothis weren maad white as snowe.
In se pred njimi premení. In obraz njegov se zasveti kakor solnce, a oblačila njegova postanejo bela kakor luč.
3 And lo! Moises and Elie apperiden to hem, and spaken with hym.
In glej, prikažeta jim se Mojzes in Elija, ter sta ž njim govorila.
4 And Petre answeride, and seide to Jhesu, Lord, it is good vs to be here. If thou wolt, make we here thre tabernaclis; to thee oon, to Moises oon, and oon to Elye. Yit the while he spak, lo!
Peter pa odgovorí in reče Jezusu: Gospod! dobro nam je tu biti. Če hočeš, naredili bomo tu tri šatore, tebi enega, in Mojzesu enega, in Eliju enega.
5 a briyt cloude ouerschadewide hem; and lo! a voice out of the cloude, that seide, This is my dereworth sone, in whom Y haue wel pleside to me; here ye hym.
Ko je še govoril, glej, zakrije jih svetel oblak; in glej, glas iz oblaka, govoreč: Ta je sin moj ljubljeni, kteri je po mojej volji; njega poslušajte.
6 And the disciplis herden, and felden doun on her faces, and dredden greetli.
In slišavši to učenci, padejo na obraz svoj in se zeló uplašijo.
7 And Jhesus cam, and touchide hem, and seide to hem, Rise vp, and nyle ye drede.
In pristopivši Jezus, dotakne se jih, in reče: Vstanite, in ne bojte se!
8 And thei liften vp her iyen, and saien no man, but Jhesu aloone.
Ko so pa oči svoje povzdignili, niso nikogar videli, razen Jezusa samega.
9 And as thei camen doun of the hille, Jhesus comaundide to hem, and seide, Seie ye to no man the visioun, til mannus sone rise ayen fro deeth.
In ko so stopali z gore, zapové jim Jezus, govoreč: Ne povejte nikomur, kar ste videli, dokler sin človečji ne vstane od mrtvih.
10 And his disciplis axiden hym, and seiden, What thanne seien the scribis, that it bihoueth that Elie come first?
In učenci njegovi ga vprašajo, govoreč: Kaj pravijo torej pismarji, da mora Elija poprej priti?
11 He answeride, and seide to hem, Elie schal come, and he schal restore alle thingis.
Jezus pa odgovorí in jim reče: Elija bo prišel res poprej in bo vse uravnal;
12 And Y seie to you, that Elie is nowe comun, and thei knewen hym not, but thei diden in him what euer thingis thei wolden; and so mannus sone schal suffre of hem.
Ali pravim vam, da je uže Elija prišel in ga niso poznali, nego storili so ž njim, kar so hoteli: tako bo tudi sin človečji od njih trpel.
13 Thanne the disciplis vndurstoden, that he seide to hem of Joon Baptist.
Tedaj spoznajo učenci, da jim je rekel to za Janeza Krstnika.
14 And whanne he cam to the puple, a man cam to hym, and felde doun on hise knees bifor hym, and seide,
In ko pridejo k ljudstvu, pristopi k njemu človek in pred njim poklekne,
15 Lord, haue merci on my sone; for he is lunatike, and suffrith yuele, for ofte tymes he fallith in to the fier, and ofte tymes in to water.
In reče: Gospod, usmili se sina mojega! ker je mesečen in grozno trpí. Velikokrat namreč pade v ogenj, in velikokrat v vodo.
16 And Y brouyte hym to thi disciplis, and thei myyten not heele hym.
In pripeljal sem ga učencem tvojim; in niso ga mogli uzdraviti.
17 Jhesus answeride, and seide, A! thou generacion vnbileueful and weiward; hou long schal Y be with you? hou long schal Y suffre you? Brynge ye hym hider to me.
Jezus pa odgovorí in reče: O neverni in popačeni rod! doklej bom z vami? doklej vas bom trpel? Pripeljite mi ga sém!
18 And Jhesus blamede hym, and the deuel wente out fro hym; and the child was heelid fro that our.
In Jezus mu zapretí; in hudič izide iž njega, in mladenič je ozdravel od tega časa.
19 Thanne the disciplis camen to Jhesu priueli, and seiden to hym, Whi myyten not we caste hym out?
Tedaj pristopijo učenci k Jezusu in mu rekó na samem: Za kaj ga nismo mogli mi izgnati?
20 Jhesus seith to hem, For youre vnbileue. Treuli Y seie to you, if ye han feith, as a corn of seneueye, ye schulen seie to this hil, Passe thou hennus, and it schal passe; and no thing schal be vnpossible to you;
Jezus jim pa reče: Za voljo nevere vaše. Kajti resnično vam pravim: Če imate za gorušično zrno vere, porečete tej gori: Premakni se odtod tje! in premaknila se bo; in nič vam ne bo nemogoče.
21 but this kynde is not caste out, but bi preiyng and fastyng.
Ta rod pa ne izide, razen z molitvijo in postom.
22 And whilis thei weren abidynge togidere in Galilee, Jhesus seide to hem, Mannus sone schal be bitraied in to the hondis of men;
Ko so pa hodili po Galileji, reče jim Jezus: Sin človečji bo izdan ljudém v roke;
23 and thei schulen sle hym, and the thridde day he schal rise ayen to lijf. And thei weren ful sori.
In umorili ga bodo, in tretji dan bo vstal od smrti. In bili so zeló žalostni.
24 And whanne thei camen to Cafarnaum, thei that token tribute, camen to Petre, and seiden to hym, Youre maister payeth not tribute?
Ko pa pridejo v Kapernaum, pristopijo k Petru tisti, ki so pobirali davek, in rekó: Ali vaš učenik ne plačuje davka?
25 And he seide, Yhis. And whanne he was comen in to the hous, Jhesus cam bifor hym, and seide, Symount, what semeth to thee? Kyngis of erthe, of whom taken thei tribute? of her sones, ether of aliens?
Reče: Dà. In ko vnide v hišo, prehití ga Jezus, govoreč: Kaj ti se zdí, Simon? Od kterih pobirajo zemeljski kralji colnino ali davek? od sinov svojih, ali od tujcev?
26 And he seide, Of aliens. Jhesus seide to hym, Thanne sones ben fre.
Peter mu pravi: Od tujcev. Jezus mu reče: Torej so sinovi svobodni.
27 But that we sclaundre hem not, go to the see, and caste an hook, and take thilke fisch that first cometh vp; and, whanne his mouth is opened, thou schalt fynde a stater, and yyue for thee and for me.
Da jih pa ne pohujšamo, pojdi k morju in nastavi trnik; in prvo ribo, ki se vjame, vzemi in jej odpri usta, ni našel boš groš: vzemi ga, in daj jim za me in za se.
