atha prabhAte sati pradhAnayAjakAH prA ncha upAdhyAyAH sarvve mantriNashcha sabhAM kR^itvA yIshuM bandhayitva pIlAtAkhyasya deshAdhipateH savidhaM nItvA samarpayAmAsuH|
2 And Pilat axide hym, Art thou kynge of Jewis? And Jhesus answeride, and seide to hym, Thou seist.
tadA pIlAtastaM pR^iShTavAn tvaM kiM yihUdIyalokAnAM rAjA? tataH sa pratyuktavAn satyaM vadasi|

aparaM pradhAnayAjakAstasya bahuShu vAkyeShu doShamAropayA nchakruH kintu sa kimapi na pratyuvAcha|
4 But Pilat eftsoone axide hym, and seide, Answerist thou no thing? Seest thou in hou many thingis thei accusen thee?
tadAnIM pIlAtastaM punaH paprachCha tvaM kiM nottarayasi? pashyaite tvadviruddhaM katiShu sAdhyeShu sAkShaM dadati|
5 But Jhesus answeride no more, so that Pilat wondride.
kantu yIshustadApi nottaraM dadau tataH pIlAta AshcharyyaM jagAma|

apara ncha kArAbaddhe kastiMshchit jane tanmahotsavakAle lokai ryAchite deshAdhipatistaM mochayati|

ye cha pUrvvamupaplavamakArShurupaplave vadhamapi kR^itavantasteShAM madhye tadAnoM barabbAnAmaka eko baddha AsIt|
8 And whanne the puple was gon vp, he bigan to preie, as he euer more dide to hem.
ato hetoH pUrvvAparIyAM rItikathAM kathayitvA lokA uchchairuvantaH pIlAtasya samakShaM nivedayAmAsuH|
9 And Pilat answeride `to hem, and seide, Wolen ye Y leeue to you the kyng of Jewis?
tadA pIlAtastAnAchakhyau tarhi kiM yihUdIyAnAM rAjAnaM mochayiShyAmi? yuShmAbhiH kimiShyate?
10 For he wiste, that the hiyeste prestis hadden takun hym bi enuye.
yataH pradhAnayAjakA IrShyAta eva yIshuM samArpayanniti sa viveda|
11 But the bischopis stireden the puple, that he schulde rather leeue to hem Barabas.
kintu yathA barabbAM mochayati tathA prArthayituM pradhAnayAjakA lokAn pravarttayAmAsuH|
12 And eftsoone Pilat answerde, and seide to hem, What thanne wolen ye that Y schal do to the kyng of Jewis?
atha pIlAtaH punaH pR^iShTavAn tarhi yaM yihUdIyAnAM rAjeti vadatha tasya kiM kariShyAmi yuShmAbhiH kimiShyate?
13 And thei eftsoone crieden, Crucifie hym.
tadA te punarapi prochchaiH prochustaM krushe vedhaya|
14 But Pilat seide to hem, What yuel hath he don? And thei crieden the more, Crucifie hym.
tasmAt pIlAtaH kathitavAn kutaH? sa kiM kukarmma kR^itavAn? kintu te punashcha ruvanto vyAjahrustaM krushe vedhaya|
15 And Pilat, willynge to make aseeth to the puple, lefte to hem Barabas, and bitok to hem Jhesu, betun with scourgis, to be crucified.
tadA pIlAtaH sarvvAllokAn toShayitumichChan barabbAM mochayitvA yIshuM kashAbhiH prahR^itya krushe veddhuM taM samarpayAmbabhUva|
16 And knyytis ledden hym with ynneforth, in to the porche of the mote halle. And thei clepiden togidir al the cumpany of knyytis,
anantaraM sainyagaNo. aTTAlikAm arthAd adhipate rgR^ihaM yIshuM nItvA senAnivahaM samAhuyat|
17 and clothiden hym with purpur. And thei writhen a coroun of thornes, and puttiden on hym.
pashchAt te taM dhUmalavarNavastraM paridhApya kaNTakamukuTaM rachayitvA shirasi samAropya
18 And thei bigunnen to grete hym, and seiden, Heile, thou kyng of Jewis.
he yihUdIyAnAM rAjan namaskAra ityuktvA taM namaskarttAmArebhire|
19 And thei smyten his heed with a reed, and bispatten hym; and thei kneliden, and worschipiden hym.
tasyottamA Nge vetrAghAtaM chakrustadgAtre niShThIva ncha nichikShipuH, tathA tasya sammukhe jAnupAtaM praNomuH
20 And aftir that thei hadden scorned him, thei vnclothiden hym of purpur, and clothiden hym with hise clothis, and ledden out hym, to crucifie hym.
itthamupahasya dhUmravarNavastram uttAryya tasya vastraM taM paryyadhApayan krushe veddhuM bahirninyushcha|
21 And thei compelliden a man that passide the weie, that cam fro the toun, Symount of Syrenen, the fader of Alisaundir and of Rufe, to bere his cross.
tataH paraM sekandarasya ruphasya cha pitA shimonnAmA kurINIyaloka ekaH kutashchid grAmAdetya pathi yAti taM te yIshoH krushaM voDhuM balAd dadhnuH|
22 And thei ledden hym in to a place Golgatha, that is to seie, the place of Caluari.
atha gulgaltA arthAt shiraHkapAlanAmakaM sthAnaM yIshumAnIya
23 And thei yauen to hym to drynke wyn meddlid with mirre, and he took not.
te gandharasamishritaM drAkShArasaM pAtuM tasmai daduH kintu sa na jagrAha|
24 And thei crucifieden him, and departiden hise clothis, and kesten lot on tho, who schulde take what.
tasmin krushe viddhe sati teShAmekaikashaH kiM prApsyatIti nirNayAya
25 And it was the thridde our, and thei crucifieden hym.
tasya paridheyAnAM vibhAgArthaM guTikApAtaM chakruH|
26 And the titil of his cause was writun, Kyng of Jewis.
aparam eSha yihUdIyAnAM rAjeti likhitaM doShapatraM tasya shiraUrdvvam AropayA nchakruH|
27 And thei crucifien with hym twei theues, oon `at the riythalf and oon at his lefthalf.
tasya vAmadakShiNayo rdvau chaurau krushayo rvividhAte|
28 And the scripture was fulfillid that seith, And he is ordeyned with wickid men.
tenaiva "aparAdhijanaiH sArddhaM sa gaNito bhaviShyati," iti shAstroktaM vachanaM siddhamabhUta|
29 And as thei passiden forth, thei blasfemyden hym, mouynge her heedis, and seiynge, Vath! thou that distriest the temple of God, and in `thre daies bildist it ayen;
anantaraM mArge ye ye lokA gamanAgamane chakruste sarvva eva shirAMsyAndolya nindanto jagaduH, re mandiranAshaka re dinatrayamadhye tannirmmAyaka,
30 come adoun fro the crosse, and make thi silf saaf.
adhunAtmAnam avitvA krushAdavaroha|
31 Also the hiyeste prestis scorneden hym ech to othir with the scribis, and seiden, He made othir men saaf, he may not saue hym silf.
ki ncha pradhAnayAjakA adhyApakAshcha tadvat tiraskR^itya parasparaM chachakShire eSha parAnAvat kintu svamavituM na shaknoti|

yadIsrAyelo rAjAbhiShiktastrAtA bhavati tarhyadhunaina krushAdavarohatu vayaM tad dR^iShTvA vishvasiShyAmaH; ki ncha yau lokau tena sArddhaM krushe. avidhyetAM tAvapi taM nirbhartsayAmAsatuH|
33 And whanne the sixte hour was come, derknessis weren made on al the erthe til in to the nynthe our.
atha dvitIyayAmAt tR^itIyayAmaM yAvat sarvvo deshaH sAndhakArobhUt|
34 And in the nynthe our Jhesus criede with a greet vois, and seide, Heloy, Heloy, lamasabatany, that is to seie, My God, my God, whi hast thou forsakun me?
tatastR^itIyaprahare yIshuruchchairavadat elI elI lAmA shivaktanI arthAd "he madIsha madIsha tvaM paryyatyAkShIH kuto hi mAM?"
35 And summe of men that stoden aboute herden, and seiden, Lo! he clepith Helye.
tadA samIpasthalokAnAM kechit tadvAkyaM nishamyAchakhyuH pashyaiSha eliyam AhUyati|
36 And oon ranne, and fillide a spounge with vynegre, and puttide aboute to a reede, and yaf to hym drynke, and seide, Suffre ye, se we, if Helie come to do hym doun.
tata eko jano dhAvitvAgatya spa nje. amlarasaM pUrayitvA taM naDAgre nidhAya pAtuM tasmai dattvAvadat tiShTha eliya enamavarohayitum eti na veti pashyAmi|
37 And Jhesus yaf out a greet cry, and diede.
atha yIshuruchchaiH samAhUya prANAn jahau|

tadA mandirasya javanikordvvAdadhaHryyantA vidIrNA dvikhaNDAbhUt|
39 But the centurien that stood forn ayens siy, that he so criynge hadde diede, and seide, Verili, this man was Goddis sone.
ki ncha itthamuchchairAhUya prANAn tyajantaM taM dR^iShdvA tadrakShaNAya niyukto yaH senApatirAsIt sovadat naroyam Ishvaraputra iti satyam|

gAlIlpradeshe yIshuM sevitvA tadanugAminyo jAtA imAstadanyAshcha yA anekA nAryo yIshunA sArddhaM yirUshAlamamAyAtAstAshcha dUrAt tAni dadR^ishuH|
42 And whanne euentid was come, for it was the euentid which is bifor the sabat,
athAsAdanadinasyArthAd vishrAmavArAt pUrvvadinasya sAyaMkAla Agata
43 Joseph of Armathie, the noble decurioun, cam, and he abood the rewme of God; and booldli he entride to Pilat, and axide the bodi of Jhesu.
IshvararAjyApekShyarimathIyayUShaphanAmA mAnyamantrI sametya pIlAtasavidhaM nirbhayo gatvA yIshordehaM yayAche|
44 But Pilat wondride, if he were now deed.
kintu sa idAnIM mR^itaH pIlAta ityasambhavaM matvA shatasenApatimAhUya sa kadA mR^ita iti paprachCha|
45 And whanne the centurion was clepid, he axide hym, if he were deed; and whanne he knewe of the centurion, he grauntide the bodi of Jhesu to Joseph.
shatasemanApatimukhAt tajj nAtvA yUShaphe yIshordehaM dadau|
46 And Joseph bouyte lynnen cloth, and took hym doun, and wlappide in the lynnen cloth, and leide hym in a sepulcre that was hewun of a stoon, and walewide a stoon to the dore of the sepulcre.
pashchAt sa sUkShmaM vAsaH krItvA yIshoH kAyamavarohya tena vAsasA veShTAyitvA girau khAtashmashAne sthApitavAn pAShANaM loThayitvA dvAri nidadhe|
47 And Marie Maudeleyne and Marie of Joseph bihelden, where he was leid.
kintu yatra sosthApyata tata magdalInI mariyam yosimAtR^imariyam cha dadR^ishatR^iH|
