Mark 14
1 Pask and the feest of therf looues was after twei daies. And the hiyest preestis and scribis souyten, hou thei schulden holde hym with gile, and sle.
Faltavam dois dias para a Páscoa e para a Festa dos Pães sem Fermento. Os chefes dos sacerdotes e os líderes religiosos estavam tentando encontrar um meio traiçoeiro para prender Jesus e o matar.
2 But thei seiden, Not in the feeste dai, lest perauenture a noyse were maad among the puple.
Eles falavam uns para os outros: “Mas não durante a comemoração da Páscoa. Caso contrário, as pessoas podem se revoltar.”
3 And whanne he was at Betanye, in the hous of Symount leprous, and restide, a womman cam, that hadde a boxe of alabastre of precious oynement spikenard; and whanne the boxe of alabastre was brokun, sche helde it on his heed.
Enquanto isso, Jesus estava no povoado de Betânia, comendo na casa de Simão, o leproso. Uma mulher veio com um frasco feito de alabastro com um perfume muito caro, feito de bálsamo puro. Ela abriu o frasco e derramou o perfume sobre a cabeça de Jesus.
4 But there weren summe that beren it heuyli with ynne hem silf, and seiden, Wher to is this losse of oynement maad?
Algumas das pessoas que estavam lá na casa ficaram irritadas e disseram: “Por que desperdiçar esse perfume?
5 For this oynement myyte haue be seld more than for thre hundrid pens, and be youun to pore men. And thei groyneden ayens hir.
Isso poderia ser vendido por mais de trezentas moedas de prata, e o dinheiro poderia ser dado aos pobres.” Eles ficaram muito bravos com ela.
6 But Jhesus seide, Suffre ye hir; what be ye heuy to hir? sche hath wrouyt a good werk in me.
Mas Jesus respondeu: “Deixem essa mulher em paz! Por que vocês estão criticando-a por ela fazer algo bom para mim?
7 For euermore ye schulen haue pore men with you, and whanne ye wolen, ye moun do wel to hem; but ye schulen not euer more haue me.
Vocês sempre terão os pobres com vocês e poderão ajudá-los sempre que quiserem. No entanto, eu não estarei sempre com vocês.
8 Sche dide that that sche hadde; sche cam bifore to anoynte my bodi in to biriyng.
Ela fez o que poderia fazer: ela perfumou o meu corpo antes do meu sepultamento.
9 Treuli Y seie to you, where euer this gospel be prechid in al the world, and that that `this womman hath don, schal be told in to mynde of hym.
Eu lhes digo que isto é verdade: sempre que o evangelho for anunciado pelo mundo, as pessoas se lembrarão do que ela fez por mim.”
10 And Judas Scarioth, oon of the twelue, wente to the hiyest prestis, to bitraye hym to hem.
Depois, Judas Iscariotes, um dos doze discípulos, foi falar com os chefes dos sacerdotes e combinou entregar Jesus a eles.
11 And thei herden, and ioyeden, and bihiyten to yyue hym money. And he souyt hou he schulde bitraye hym couenabli.
Quando os sacerdotes ouviram isso, ficaram muito satisfeitos e prometeram pagar uma quantia em dinheiro a Judas. Então, Judas começou a procurar uma oportunidade para entregar Jesus.
12 And the firste dai of therf looues, whanne thei offriden pask, the disciplis seyn to hym, Whidir `wilt thou that we go, and make redi to thee, that thou ete the pask?
No primeiro dia da Festa dos Pães sem Fermento, o período em que se sacrifica um cordeiro para a Páscoa, os discípulos de Jesus lhe perguntaram: “Onde é que o senhor quer que preparemos a sua refeição da Páscoa?”
13 And he sendith tweyn of hise disciplis, and seith to hem, Go ye in to the citee, and a man berynge a galoun of watir schal meete you; sue ye hym.
Ele enviou dois discípulos, dizendo: “Vão para a cidade e lá vocês encontrarão um homem carregando um pote de água. Sigam-no,
14 And whidur euer he entrith, seie ye to the lord of the hous, That the maister seith, Where is myn etynge place, where Y schal ete pask with my disciplis?
e, quando ele entrar em uma casa, perguntem ao dono da casa onde os meus discípulos e eu podemos celebrar a Páscoa.
15 And he schal schewe to you a grete soupyng place arayed, and there make ye redi to vs.
Ele os levará a uma grande sala no andar de cima, que está mobiliada e pronta para o jantar. Lá, vocês podem preparar tudo para nós.”
16 And hise disciplis wenten forth, and camen in to the citee, and founden as he hadde seid to hem; and thei maden redy the pask.
Os discípulos foram para a cidade e encontraram as coisas exatamente como Jesus tinha lhes dito. Eles prepararam a refeição da Páscoa.
17 And whanne the euentid was come, he cam with the twelue.
À noite, Jesus foi para lá junto com os doze discípulos.
18 And whanne thei saten `at the mete, and eeten, Jhesus seide, Treuli Y seie to you, that oon of you that etith with me, schal bitray me.
Enquanto eles estavam sentados, comendo, Jesus disse: “Eu lhes digo que isto é verdade: um de vocês irá me trair; alguém que está comendo comigo agora.”
19 And thei bigunnen to be sori, and to seie to hym, ech bi hem silf, Whether Y?
Eles ficaram chocados e, um por um, perguntaram: “Não sou eu, sou?”
20 Which seide to hem, Oon of twelue that puttith the hoond with me in the platere.
“É um dos doze, um de vocês que compartilha esta refeição comigo”, ele respondeu.
21 And sotheli mannus sone goith, as it is writun of hym; but wo to that man, by whom mannus sone schal be bitrayed. It were good to hym, yf thilke man hadde not be borun.
“O Filho do Homem morrerá, exatamente como as Sagradas Escrituras anunciaram. Mas, ai do homem que trair o Filho do Homem! Seria melhor para esse homem nunca haver nascido.”
22 And while thei eeten, Jhesus took breed, and blessid, and brak, and yaf to hem, and seide, Take ye; this is my bodi.
Enquanto eles estavam comendo, Jesus pegou um pão. Ele o abençoou e distribuiu aos discípulos. Ele lhes disse: “Peguem! Isto é o meu corpo.”
23 And whanne he hadde take the cuppe, he dide thankyngis, and yaf to hem, and alle dronken therof.
Então, ele pegou o cálice. Ele o abençoou e distribuiu aos discípulos. Todos eles beberam o vinho.
24 And he seide to hem, This is my blood of the newe testament, which schal be sched for many.
Ele lhes disse: “Isto é o meu sangue, o sangue do acordo, que está sendo derramado em favor de muitos.
25 Treuli Y seye to you, for now Y schal not drynke of this fruyt of vyne, in to that dai whane Y schal drynke it newe in the rewme of God.
Eu lhes digo que isto é verdade: eu não beberei do fruto da videira até o dia em que eu beber o vinho novo no Reino de Deus.”
26 And whanne the ympne was seid, thei wenten out in to the hil of Olyues.
Depois de terem cantado um salmo, eles foram para o monte das Oliveiras.
27 And Jhesus seide to hem, Alle ye schulen be sclaundrid in me in this nyyt; for it is writun, Y schal smyte the scheepherde, and the scheep of the flok schulen be disparplid.
Jesus lhes disse: “Todos vocês irão me abandonar. Pois, como as Sagradas Escrituras dizem: ‘Eu atacarei o pastor, e as ovelhas se espalharão completamente.’
28 But aftir that Y schal rise ayen, Y schal go bifor you in to Galilee.
Mas, depois da minha ressurreição, eu irei adiante de vocês para a Galileia.”
29 And Petir seide to hym, Thouy alle schulen be sclaundrid, but not Y.
Pedro disse: “Eu não o abandonarei, mesmo se todos os outros o abandonarem!”
30 And Jhesus seide to hym, Treuli Y seie to thee, that to dai bifore that the cok in this niyt crowe twies, thou schalt thries denye me.
Jesus lhe respondeu: “Eu lhe digo que isto é verdade: Hoje, nesta mesma noite, antes do galo cantar duas vezes, você negará três vezes que me conhece.”
31 But he seide more, Thouy it bihoueth, that Y die togider with thee, Y schal not forsake thee. And in lijk maner alle seiden.
Mas Pedro afirmava com insistência: “Mesmo que eu tenha que morrer com o senhor, eu nunca o negarei!” Todos os outros discípulos disseram o mesmo.
32 And thei camen in to a place, whos name is Gethsamany. And he seide to hise disciplis, Sitte ye here, while Y preye.
Eles chegaram a um jardim, chamado Getsêmani, onde Jesus disse aos discípulos: “Sentem-se aqui, enquanto eu vou orar.”
33 And he took Petir and James and Joon with hym, and bigan to drede, and to be anoyed.
Ele levou Pedro, Tiago e João com ele. Ele começou a sentir-se tomado de grande tristeza e aflição.
34 And he seide to hem, My soule is soreweful to the deeth; abide ye here, and wake ye with me.
Jesus lhes disse: “Meu sofrimento é tão grande que parece que vai me matar. Por favor, fiquem aqui e vigiem!”
35 And whanne he was gon forth a litil, he felde doun on the erthe, and preiede, that if it myyte be, that the our schulde passe fro hym.
Ele foi um pouco mais longe e, depois, se ajoelhou. Ele orou, pedindo para, se possível, ser poupado daquele momento de sofrimento.
36 And he seide, Abba, fadir, alle thingis ben possible to thee, bere ouer fro me this cuppe; but not that Y wole, but that thou wolt, be don.
Ele disse: “Pai, meu Pai! Você pode fazer tudo. Por favor, afaste este cálice de sofrimento de mim! Mas que seja feito o que o senhor quiser, e não o que eu quero.”
37 And he cam, and foond hem slepynge. And he seide to Petir, Symount, slepist thou? myytist thou not wake with me oon our?
Então, Jesus voltou e encontrou os discípulos dormindo. Ele disse a Pedro: “Simão, você está dormindo? Não consegue ficar acordado nem por uma hora?
38 Wake ye, and `preie ye, that ye entre not in to temptacioun; for the spirit is redi, but the fleische is sijk.
Vigiem e orem! Assim vocês não cairão em tentação. Vocês podem até querer resistir à tentação; difícil mesmo é conseguir isso.”
39 And eftsoone he yede, and preiede, and seide the same word;
Jesus se afastou dos discípulos mais uma vez. Ele orou, dizendo as mesmas palavras.
40 and turnede ayen eftsoone, and foond hem slepynge; for her iyen weren heuyed. And thei knewen not, what thei schulden answere to hym.
Depois ele voltou e, novamente, encontrou-os dormindo. Eles não conseguiam manter seus olhos abertos. Eles não sabiam o que dizer para Jesus.
41 And he cam the thridde tyme, and seide to hem, Slepe ye now, and reste ye; it suffisith. The hour is comun; lo! mannus sone schal be bitraied in to the hondis of synful men.
Pela terceira vez, Jesus voltou e lhes perguntou: “Vocês ainda estão dormindo? Vocês ainda estão descansando? Já é o bastante! Chegou a hora! Vejam, o Filho do Homem está sendo entregue aos pecadores.
42 Rise ye, go we; lo! he that schal bitraye me is nyy.
Levantem-se! Vamos! Vejam! Aqui está o meu traidor.”
43 And yit while he spak, Judas Scarioth, oon of the twelue, cam, and with him miche puple with swerdis and staues, sent fro the hiyest prestis, and the scribis, and fro the eldre men.
Exatamente quando ele disse isso, Judas, um dos doze discípulos, chegou com uma multidão que carregava espadas e porretes. Eles tinham sido enviados pelos chefes dos sacerdotes, líderes religiosos e pelos anciãos do povo.
44 And his traytour hadde youun to hem a tokene, and seide, Whom euer Y kisse, he it is; holde ye hym, and lede ye warli.
O traidor havia combinado um sinal com eles: “Aquele a quem eu beijar é a pessoa que procuram. Prendam-no e levem-no bem seguro.”
45 And whanne he cam, anoon he came to hym, and seide, Maistir; and he kisside hym.
Judas se aproximou de Jesus. Ele disse: “Rabi”, e o beijou.
46 And thei leiden hondis on hym, and helden hym.
Então, eles prenderam Jesus e o levaram.
47 But oon of the men that stoden aboute, drowy out a swerd, and smoot the seruaunt of the hiyest preest, and kittide of his eere.
Mas, um dos que estavam lá tirou a sua espada e atacou o empregado do grande sacerdote, cortando a sua orelha.
48 And Jhesus answeride, and seide to hem, As to a theef ye han gon out with swerdis and staues, to take me?
Jesus lhes perguntou: “Eu sou algum bandido, para vocês me prenderem com espadas e porretes?
49 Dai bi dai Y was among you, and tauyte in the temple, and ye helden not me; but that the scripturis be fulfillid.
Todos os dias, eu estava lá com vocês, ensinando no Templo. Então, por que vocês não me prenderam antes? Mas, isso está acontecendo para cumprir o que dizem as Sagradas Escrituras.”
50 Thanne alle hise disciplis forsoken hym, and fledden.
Então, todos os discípulos de Jesus o abandonaram e fugiram.
51 But a yong man, clothid with lynnun cloth on the bare, suede hym; and thei helden hym.
Um jovem, enrolado apenas num lençol, seguia Jesus.
52 And he lefte the lynnyn clothing, and fleiy nakid awei fro hem.
Eles tentaram prendê-lo, mas ele fugiu nu, deixando o lençol para trás.
53 And thei ledden Jhesu to the hiyest preest. And alle the prestis and scribis and eldere men camen togidir.
Eles levaram Jesus para a casa do grande sacerdote, onde estavam reunidos todos os chefes dos sacerdotes, os anciãos do povo e os educadores religiosos.
54 But Petir suede hym afer in to the halle of the hiyest preest. And he sat with the mynystris, and warmede hym at the fier.
Pedro seguiu Jesus, mantendo uma certa distância, e entrou no pátio da casa do grande sacerdote. Ele se sentou perto dos guardas e se aqueceu próximo ao fogo.
55 And the hiyest prestis, and al the counsel, souyten witnessyng ayens Jhesu to take hym to the deeth; but thei founden not.
Dentro da casa, os chefes dos sacerdotes e todo o conselho superior estavam tentando encontrar alguma evidência para condenar Jesus à morte, mas eles não conseguiam encontrar acusação alguma.
56 For manye seiden fals witnessyng ayens hym, and the witnessyngis weren not couenable.
Muitas pessoas testemunhavam falsamente contra ele, mas o que diziam não era coerente.
57 And summe risen vp, and baren fals witnessyng ayens hym,
Alguns deles levantavam-se para falar mentiras contra Jesus. Eles diziam:
58 and seiden, For we `han herd hym seiynge, Y schal vndo this temple maad with hondis, and aftir the thridde dai Y schal bilde another not maad with hondis.
“Nós o ouvimos dizer: ‘Eu destruirei este Templo, que mãos humanas construíram, e, em três dias, eu construirei outro sem precisar usar mãos para isso.’”
59 And the witnessyng `of hem was not couenable.
Mas, mesmo assim, os seus depoimentos não eram coerentes.
60 And the hiyest prest roos vp in to the myddil, and axide Jhesu, and seide, Answerist thou no thing to tho thingis that ben put ayens thee of these?
Então, o grande sacerdote ficou em frente ao conselho e perguntou a Jesus: “Você não tem nada a dizer em relação a essas acusações?”
61 But he was stille, and answeride no thing. Eftsoone the hiyest prest axide hym, and seide to hym, Art thou Crist, the sone of the blessid God?
Mas, Jesus permaneceu em silêncio e não respondeu. Então, o grande sacerdote perguntou novamente: “Você é o Messias, o Filho do Deus Bendito?”
62 And Jhesus seide to hym, Y am; and ye schulen se mannus sone sittynge on the riythalf of the vertu of God, and comynge in the cloudis of heuene.
Jesus respondeu: “Eu sou, e vocês verão o Filho do Homem se sentar à direita do Deus Todo-Poderoso e vir com as nuvens do céu.”
63 And the hiyest preest torente hise clothis, and seide, What yit dissiren we witnessis?
O grande sacerdote rasgou suas próprias roupas e perguntou: “Por que nós precisamos de qualquer outra testemunha?
64 Ye han herd blasfemye. What semeth to you? And thei alle condempneden hym to be gilti of deeth.
Vocês ouviram a blasfêmia! Qual a decisão de vocês?” Eles todos consideraram Jesus culpado e o condenaram à morte.
65 And summe bigunnen to bispete hym, `and to hile his face, and to smite hym with buffetis, and seie to hym, Areede thou. And the mynystris beeten hym with strokis.
Então, alguns deles começaram a cuspir nele. Eles colocaram uma venda nos olhos de Jesus, deram murros nele e disseram: “‘Profeta’, por que não adivinha quem lhe bateu?” Os guardas levaram Jesus com eles e também bateram nele.
66 And whanne Petir was in the halle bynethen, oon of the damesels of the hiyest prest cam.
Enquanto isso, Pedro estava lá embaixo no pátio. Uma das empregadas do grande sacerdote passou por ele
67 And whanne sche hadde seyn Petir warmynge hym, sche bihelde hym, and seide, And thou were with Jhesu of Nazareth.
e, ao vê-lo se esquentando junto ao fogo, olhou bem para Pedro e disse: “Você também estava com Jesus de Nazaré!”
68 And he denyede, and seide, Nethir Y woot, nethir Y knowe, what thou seist. And he wente without forth bifor the halle; and anoon the cok crewe.
Mas, ele negou. Pedro respondeu: “Eu não sei do que você está falando, ou o que quer dizer!” Então, ele saiu para a varanda, e o galo cantou.
69 And eftsoone whanne another damesel hadde seyn hym, sche bigan to seye to men that stoden aboute, That this is of hem.
Ao ver Pedro lá, a empregada repetiu novamente aos que estavam por perto: “Este homem é um deles!”
70 And he eftsoone denyede. And aftir a litil, eftsoone thei that stoden nyy, seiden to Petir, Verili thou art of hem, for thou art of Galilee also.
Mais uma vez, Pedro negou. Pouco tempo depois, eles viram Pedro novamente: “Definitivamente, você é um deles, porque você também é um galileu!”
71 But he bigan to curse and to swere, For Y knowe not this man, whom ye seien.
Pedro começou a se amaldiçoar e jurou: “Eu não conheço esse homem de quem vocês estão falando!”
72 And anoon eftsoones the cok crew. And Petir bithouyte on the word that Jhesus hadde seide to hym, Bifor the cok crowe twies, thries thou schalt denye me. And he bigan to wepe.
Imediatamente, o galo cantou pela segunda vez. Então, Pedro se lembrou do que Jesus havia dito a ele: “Antes do galo cantar duas vezes, você me negará três vezes.” Quando ele percebeu o que tinha feito, começou a chorar.
