Luke 16
1 He seide also to hise disciplis, Ther was a riche man, that hadde a baili; and this was defamed to him, as he hadde wastid his goodis.
പിന്നെ അവൻ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: ധനവാനായോരു മനുഷ്യന്നു ഒരു കാര്യവിചാരകൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവൻ അവന്റെ വസ്തുവക നാനാവിധമാക്കുന്നു എന്നു ചിലർ അവനെ കുറ്റം പറഞ്ഞു.
2 And he clepide hym, and seide to hym, What here Y this thing of thee? yelde reckynyng of thi baili, for thou miyte not now be baili.
അവൻ അവനെ വിളിച്ചു: നിന്നെക്കൊണ്ടു ഈ കേൾക്കുന്നതു എന്തു? നിന്റെ കാര്യവിചാരത്തിന്റെ കണക്കു ഏല്പിച്ചുതരിക; നീ ഇനി കാര്യവിചാരകനായിരിപ്പാൻ പാടില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
3 And the baili seide with ynne him silf, What schal Y do, for my lord takith awei fro me the baili? delfe mai Y not, I schame to begge.
എന്നാറെ കാര്യവിചാരകൻ: ഞാൻ എന്തു ചെയ്യേണ്ടു? യജമാനൻ കാര്യവിചാരത്തിൽ നിന്നു എന്നെ നീക്കുവാൻ പോകുന്നു; കിളെപ്പാൻ എനിക്കു പ്രാപ്തിയില്ല; ഇരപ്പാൻ ഞാൻ നാണിക്കുന്നു.
4 Y woot what Y schal do, that whanne Y am remeued fro the baili, thei resseyue me in to her hous.
എന്നെ കാര്യവിചാരത്തിൽനിന്നു നീക്കിയാൽ അവർ എന്നെ തങ്ങളുടെ വീടുകളിൽ ചേർത്തുകൊൾവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം ഞാൻ ചെയ്യേണ്ടതു എന്തു എന്നു എനിക്കു അറിയാം എന്നു ഉള്ളുകൊണ്ടു പറഞ്ഞു.
5 Therfor whanne alle the dettours of his lord weren clepid togider, he seide to the firste, Hou myche owist thou to my lord?
പിന്നെ അവൻ യജമാനന്റെ കടക്കാരിൽ ഓരോരുത്തനെ വരുത്തി ഒന്നാമത്തവനോടു: നീ യജമാനന്നു എത്ര കടംപെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
6 And he seide, An hundrid barelis of oyle. And he seide to hym, Take thi caucioun, and sitte soone, and write fifti.
നൂറു കുടം എണ്ണ എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു. അവൻ അവനോടു: നിന്റെ കൈച്ചീട്ടു വാങ്ങി വേഗം ഇരുന്നു അമ്പതു എന്നു എഴുതുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
7 Aftirward he seide to another, And hou myche owist thou? Which answerde, An hundrid coris of whete. And he seide to hym, Take thi lettris, and write foure scoore.
അതിന്റെ ശേഷം മറ്റൊരുത്തനോടു: നീ എത്ര കടം പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. നൂറു പറ കോതമ്പു എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു; അവനോടു: നിന്റെ കൈച്ചീട്ടു വാങ്ങി എണ്പതു എന്നു എഴുതുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
8 And the lord preiside the baili of wickydnesse, for he hadde do prudentli; for the sones of this world ben more prudent in her generacioun than the sones of liyt. (aiōn g165)
ഈ അനീതിയുള്ള കാര്യവിചാരകൻ ബുദ്ധിയോടെ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു യജമാനൻ അവനെ പുകഴ്ത്തി; വെളിച്ചമക്കളെക്കാൾ ഈ ലോകത്തിന്റെ മക്കൾ തങ്ങളുടെ തലമുറയിൽ ബുദ്ധിയേറിയവരല്ലോ. (aiōn g165)
9 And Y seie to you, make ye to you freendis of the ritchesse of wickidnesse, that whanne ye schulen fayle, thei resseyue you in to euerlastynge tabernaclis. (aiōnios g166)
അനീതിയുള്ള മമ്മോനെക്കൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങൾക്കു സ്നേഹിതന്മാരെ ഉണ്ടാക്കിക്കൊൾവിൻ എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു. അതു ഇല്ലാതെയാകുമ്പോൾ അവർ നിത്യകൂടാരങ്ങളിൽ നിങ്ങളെ ചേർത്തുകൊൾവാൻ ഇടയാകും. (aiōnios g166)
10 He that is trewe in the leeste thing, is trewe also in the more; and he that is wickid in a litil thing, is wickid also in the more.
അത്യല്പത്തിൽ വിശ്വസ്തനായവൻ അധികത്തിലും വിശ്വസ്തൻ; അത്യല്പത്തിൽ നീതികെട്ടവൻ അധികത്തിലും നീതി കെട്ടവൻ.
11 Therfor if ye weren not trewe in the wickid thing of ritchesse, who schal bitake to you that that is verry?
നിങ്ങൾ അനീതിയുള്ള മമ്മോനിൽ വിശ്വസ്തരായില്ല എങ്കിൽ സത്യമായതു നിങ്ങളെ ആർ ഭരമേല്പിക്കും?
12 And if ye weren not trewe in othere mennus thing, who schal yyue to you that that is youre?
അന്യമായതിൽ വിശ്വസ്തരായില്ല എങ്കിൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കു സ്വന്തമായതു ആർ തരും?
13 No seruaunt may serue to twei lordis; for ether he schal hate `the toon, and loue the tothir; ethir he schal drawe to `the toon, and schal dispise the tothir. Ye moun not serue to God and to ritchesse.
രണ്ടു യജമാനന്മാരെ സേവിപ്പാൻ ഒരു ഭൃത്യന്നും കഴികയില്ല; അവൻ ഒരുവനെ പകെച്ചു മറ്റവനെ സ്നേഹിക്കും; അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ഒരുത്തനോടു പറ്റിച്ചേർന്നു മറ്റവനെ നിരസിക്കും. നിങ്ങൾക്കു ദൈവത്തെയും മമ്മോനെയും സേവിപ്പാൻ കഴികയില്ല.
14 But the Farisees, that weren coueytous, herden alle these thingis, and thei scorneden hym.
ഇതൊക്കെയും ദ്രവ്യാഗ്രഹികളായ പരീശന്മാർ കേട്ടു അവനെ പരിഹസിച്ചു.
15 And he seide to hem, Ye it ben, that iustifien you bifor men; but God hath knowun youre hertis, for that that is hiy to men, is abhomynacioun bifor God.
അവൻ അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: നിങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളെ തന്നേ മനുഷ്യരുടെ മുമ്പാകെ നീതീകരിക്കുന്നവർ ആകുന്നു; ദൈവമോ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയം അറിയുന്നു; മനുഷ്യരുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഉന്നതമായതു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ അറെപ്പത്രേ.
16 The lawe and prophetis til to Joon; fro that tyme the rewme of God is euangelisid, and ech man doith violence in to it.
ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന്റെയും പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെയും കാലം യോഹന്നാൻ വരെ ആയിരുന്നു; അന്നുമുതൽ ദൈവരാജ്യത്തെ സുവിശേഷിച്ചുവരുന്നു; എല്ലാവരും ബലാല്ക്കാരേണ അതിൽ കടപ്പാൻ നോക്കുന്നു.
17 Forsothe it is liyter heuene and erthe to passe, than that o titil falle fro the lawe.
ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽ ഒരു പുള്ളി വീണുപോകുന്നതിനെക്കാൾ ആകാശവും ഭൂമിയും ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നതു എളുപ്പം.
18 Euery man that forsakith his wijf, and weddith an other, doith letcherie; and he that weddith the wijf forsakun of the hosebonde, doith auowtrie.
ഭാര്യയെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു മറ്റൊരുത്തിയെ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുന്നവൻ എല്ലാം വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യുന്നു; ഭർത്താവു ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചവളെ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുന്നവനും വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യുന്നു.
19 There was a riche man, and was clothid in purpur, and whit silk, and eete euery dai schynyngli.
ധനവാനായോരു മനുഷ്യൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവൻ ധൂമ്രവസ്ത്രവും പട്ടും ധരിച്ചു ദിനമ്പ്രതി ആഡംബരത്തോടെ സുഖിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
20 And there was a begger, Lazarus bi name, that lai at his yate ful of bilis,
ലാസർ എന്നു പേരുള്ളോരു ദരിദ്രൻ വ്രണം നിറഞ്ഞവനായി അവന്റെ പടിപ്പുരക്കൽ കിടന്നു
21 and coueitide to be fulfillid of the crummes, that fellen doun fro the riche mannus boord, and no man yaf to hym; but houndis camen, and lickiden hise bilis.
ധനവാന്റെ മേശയിൽ നിന്നു വീഴുന്നതു തിന്നു വിശപ്പടക്കുവാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചു; നായ്ക്കളും വന്നു അവന്റെ വ്രണം നക്കും.
22 And it was don, that the begger diede, and was borun of aungels in to Abrahams bosum. And the riche man was deed also,
ആ ദരിദ്രൻ മരിച്ചപ്പോൾ ദൂതന്മാർ അവനെ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ മടിയിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോയി.
23 and was biried in helle. And he reiside hise iyen, whanne he was in turmentis, and say Abraham afer, and Lazarus in his bosum. (Hadēs g86)
ധനവാനും മരിച്ചു അടക്കപ്പെട്ടു; പാതാളത്തിൽ യാതന അനുഭവിക്കുമ്പോൾ മേലോട്ടു നോക്കി ദൂരത്തു നിന്നു അബ്രാഹാമിനെയും അവന്റെ മടിയിൽ ലാസരിനെയും കണ്ടു: (Hadēs g86)
24 And he criede, and seide, Fadir Abraham, haue merci on me, and sende Lazarus, that he dippe the ende of his fyngur in watir, to kele my tunge; for Y am turmentid in this flawme.
അബ്രാഹാംപിതാവേ, എന്നോടു കനിവുണ്ടാകേണമേ; ലാസർ വിരലിന്റെ അറ്റം വെള്ളത്തിൽ മുക്കി എന്റെ നാവിനെ തണുപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവനെ അയക്കേണമേ; ഞാൻ ഈ ജ്വാലയിൽ കിടന്നു വേദന അനുഭവിക്കുന്നു എന്നു വിളിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.
25 And Abraham seide to hym, Sone, haue mynde, for thou hast resseyued good thingis in thi lijf, and Lazarus also yuel thingis; but he is now coumfortid, and thou art turmentid.
അബ്രാഹാം: മകനേ, നിന്റെ ആയുസ്സിൽ നീ നന്മയും ലാസർ അവ്വണ്ണം തിന്മയും പ്രാപിച്ചു എന്നു ഓർക്ക; ഇപ്പോൾ അവൻ ഇവിടെ ആശ്വസിക്കുന്നു: നീയോ വേദന അനുഭവിക്കുന്നു.
26 And in alle these thingis a greet derk place is stablischid betwixe vs and you; that thei that wolen fro hennus passe to you, moun not, nethir fro thennus passe ouer hidur.
അത്രയുമല്ല ഞങ്ങൾക്കും നിങ്ങൾക്കും നടുവെ വലിയോരു പിളർപ്പുണ്ടാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ഇവിടെ നിന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ കടന്നുവരുവാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നവർക്കു കഴിവില്ല; അവിടെനിന്നു ഞങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ കടന്നു വരുവാനും പാടില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
27 And he seide, Thanne Y preie thee, fadir, that thou sende hym in to the hous of my fadir.
അതിന്നു അവൻ: എന്നാൽ പിതാവേ, അവനെ എന്റെ അപ്പന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ അയക്കേണമെന്നു ഞാൻ അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു;
28 For Y haue fyue britheren, that he witnesse to hem, lest also thei come in to this place of turmentis.
എനിക്കു അഞ്ചു സഹോദരന്മാർ ഉണ്ടു; അവരും ഈ യാതനാസ്ഥലത്തു വരാതിരിപ്പാൻ അവൻ അവരോടു സാക്ഷ്യം പറയട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
29 And Abraham seide to him, Thei han Moyses and the prophetis; here thei hem.
അബ്രാഹാം അവനോടു: അവർക്കു മോശെയും പ്രവാചകന്മാരും ഉണ്ടല്ലോ; അവരുടെ വാക്കു അവർ കേൾക്കട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
30 And he seide, Nay, fadir Abraham, but if ony of deed men go to hem, thei schulen do penaunce.
അതിന്നു അവൻ: അല്ലല്ല, അബ്രാഹാം പിതാവേ, മരിച്ചവരിൽനിന്നു ഒരുത്തൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റു അവരുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു എങ്കിൽ അവർ മാനസാന്തരപ്പെടും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
31 And he seide to hym, If thei heren not Moises and prophetis, nethir if ony of deed men rise ayen, thei schulen bileue to hym.
അവൻ അവനോടു: അവർ മോശെയുടെയും പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെയും വാക്കു കേൾക്കാഞ്ഞാൽ മരിച്ചവരിൽ നിന്നു ഒരുത്തൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റു ചെന്നാലും വിശ്വസിക്കയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
