Luke 15
1 And pupplicans and synful men weren neiyynge to him, to here hym.
सब महसूल लेनेवाले और गुनहगार उसके पास आते थे ताकि उसकी बातें सुनें।
2 And the Farisees and scribis grutchiden, seiynge, For this resseyueth synful men, and etith with hem.
और उलमा और फ़रीसी बुदबुदाकर कहने लगे, “ये आदमी गुनाहगारों से मिलता और उनके साथ खाना खाता है।”
3 And he spak to hem this parable,
उसने उनसे ये मिसाल कही,
4 and seide, What man of you that hath an hundrith scheep, and if he hath lost oon of hem, whethir he leeueth not nynti and nyne in desert, and goith to it that perischide, til he fynde it?
“तुम में से कौन है जिसकी सौ भेड़ें हों, और उनमें से एक गुम हो जाए तो निनानवें को जंगल में छोड़कर उस खोई हुई को जब तक मिल न जाए ढूँडता न रहेगा?
5 And whanne he hath foundun it, he ioieth, and leyith it on hise schuldris; and he cometh hoom,
फिर मिल जाती है तो वो ख़ुश होकर उसे कन्धे पर उठा लेता है,
6 and clepith togidir hise freendis and neiyboris, and seith to hem, Be ye glad with me, for Y haue founde my scheep, that hadde perischid.
और घर पहुँचकर दोस्तों और पड़ोसियों को बुलाता और कहता है, 'मेरे साथ ख़ुशी करो, क्यूँकि मेरी खोई हुई भेड़ मिल गई।
7 And Y seie to you, so ioye schal be in heuene on o synful man doynge penaunce, more than on nynti and nyne iuste, that han no nede to penaunce.
मैं तुम से कहता हूँ कि इसी तरह निनानवें, रास्तबाज़ों की निस्बत जो तौबा की हाजत नहीं रखते, एक तौबा करने वाले गुनहगार के बा'इस आसमान पर ज़्यादा ख़ुशी होगी।”
8 Or what womman hauynge ten besauntis, and if sche hath lost oo besaunt, whether sche teendith not a lanterne, and turneth vpsodoun the hows, and sekith diligentli, til that sche fynde it?
“या कौन ऐसी “औरत है जिसके पास दस दिरहम हों और एक खो जाए तो वो चराग़ जलाकर घर में झाडू न दे, और जब तक मिल न जाए कोशिश से ढूँडती न रहे।
9 And whanne sche hath foundun, sche clepith togidir freendis and neiyboris, and seith, Be ye glad with me, for Y haue founde the besaunt, that Y hadde lost.
और जब मिल जाए तो अपनी दोस्तों और पड़ोसियों को बुलाकर न कहे, 'मेरे साथ ख़ुशी करो, क्यूँकि 'मेरा खोया हुआ दिरहम मिल गया।
10 So Y seie to you, ioye schal be bifor aungels of God on o synful man doynge penaunce.
मैं तुम से कहता हूँ कि इसी तरह एक तौबा करनेवाला गुनाहगार के बारे में ख़ुदा के फ़रिश्तों के सामने ख़ुशी होती है।”
11 And he seide, A man hadde twei sones;
फिर उसने कहा, “किसी शख़्स के दो बेटे थे।
12 and the yonger of hem seide to the fadir, Fadir, yyue me the porcioun of catel, that fallith to me. And he departide to hem the catel.
उनमें से छोटे ने बाप से कहा, 'ऐ बाप! माल का जो हिस्सा मुझ को पहुँचता है मुझे दे दे। उसने अपना माल — ओ — अस्बाब उन्हें बाँट दिया।
13 And not aftir many daies, whanne alle thingis weren gederid togider, the yonger sone wente forth in pilgrymage in to a fer cuntre; and there he wastide hise goodis in lyuynge lecherously.
और बहुत दिन न गुज़रे कि छोटा बेटा अपना सब कुछ जमा करके दूर दराज़ मुल्क को रवाना हुआ, और वहाँ अपना माल बदचलनी में उड़ा दिया।
14 And aftir that he hadde endid alle thingis, a strong hungre was maad in that cuntre, and he bigan to haue nede.
जब सब ख़र्च कर चुका तो उस मुल्क में सख़्त काल पड़ा, और वो मुहताज होने लगा।
15 And he wente, and drouy hym to oon of the citeseyns of that cuntre. And he sente hym in to his toun, to fede swyn.
फिर उस मुल्क के एक बाशिन्दे के वहाँ जा पड़ा। उसने उसको अपने खेत में खिंजीर यनी [सूअवर] चराने भेजा।
16 And he coueitide to fille his wombe of the coddis that the hoggis eeten, and no man yaf hym.
और उसे आरज़ू थी कि जो फलियाँ खिंजीर यनी [सूअवर] खाते थे उन्हीं से अपना पेट भरे, मगर कोई उसे न देता था।
17 And he turnede ayen to hym silf, and seide, Hou many hirid men in my fadir hous han plente of looues; and Y perische here thorouy hungir.
फिर उसने होश में आकर कहा, 'मेरे बाप के बहुत से मज़दूरों को इफ़रात से रोटी मिलती है, और मैं यहाँ भूखा मर रहा हूँ।
18 Y schal rise vp, and go to my fadir, and Y schal seie to hym, Fadir, Y haue synned in to heuene, and bifor thee;
मैं उठकर अपने बाप के पास जाऊँगा और उससे कहूँगा, 'ऐ बाप! मैं आसमान का और तेरी नज़र में गुनहगार हुआ।
19 and now Y am not worthi to be clepid thi sone, make me as oon of thin hirid men.
अब इस लायक़ नहीं रहा कि फिर तेरा बेटा कहलाऊँ। मुझे अपने मज़दूरों जैसा कर ले।”
20 And he roos vp, and cam to his fadir. And whanne he was yit afer, his fadir saiy hym, and was stirrid bi mercy. And he ran, and fel on his necke, and kisside hym.
“पस वो उठकर अपने बाप के पास चला। वो अभी दूर ही था कि उसे देखकर उसके बाप को तरस आया, और दौड़कर उसको गले लगा लिया और चूमा।
21 And the sone seide to hym, Fadir, Y haue synned in to heuene, and bifor thee; and now Y am not worthi to be clepid thi sone.
बेटे ने उससे कहा, 'ऐ बाप! मैं आसमान का और तेरी नज़र मैं गुनहगार हुआ। अब इस लायक़ नहीं रहा कि फिर तेरा बेटा कहलाऊँ।
22 And the fadir seide to hise seruauntis, Swithe brynge ye forth the firste stoole, and clothe ye hym, and yyue ye a ryng in his hoond,
बाप ने अपने नौकरों से कहा, 'अच्छे से अच्छा लिबास जल्द निकाल कर उसे पहनाओ और उसके हाथ में अँगूठी और पैरों में जूती पहनाओ;
23 and schoon on hise feet; and brynge ye a fat calf, and sle ye, and ete we, and make we feeste.
और तैयार किए हुए जानवर को लाकर ज़बह करो, ताकि हम खाकर ख़ुशी मनाएँ।
24 For this my sone was deed, and hath lyued ayen; he perischid, and is foundun. And alle men bigunnen to ete.
क्यूँकि मेरा ये बेटा मुर्दा था, अब ज़िन्दा हुआ; खो गया था, अब मिला है। पस वो ख़ुशी मनाने लगे।”
25 But his eldere sone was in the feeld; and whanne he cam, and neiyede to the hous, he herde a symfonye and a croude.
“लेकिन उसका बड़ा बेटा खेत में था। जब वो आकर घर के नज़दीक पहुँचा, तो गाने बजाने और नाचने की आवाज़ सुनी।
26 And he clepide oon of the seruauntis, and axide, what these thingis weren.
और एक नौकर को बुलाकर मालूम करने लगा, 'ये क्या हो रहा है?'
27 And he seide to hym, Thi brother is comun, and thi fadir slewe a fat calf, for he resseyuede hym saaf.
उसने उससे कहा, 'तेरा भाई आ गया है, और तेरे बाप ने तैयार किया हुआ जानवर ज़बह कराया है, क्यूँकि उसे भला चंगा पाया।
28 And he was wrooth, and wolde not come in. Therfor his fadir wente out, and bigan to preye hym.
वो ग़ुस्सा हुआ और अन्दर जाना न चाहा, मगर उसका बाप बाहर जाकर उसे मनाने लगा।
29 And he answerde to his fadir, and seide, Lo! so many yeeris Y serue thee, and Y neuer brak thi comaundement; and thou neuer yaf to me a kidde, that Y with my freendis schulde haue ete.
उसने अपने बाप से जवाब में कहा, 'देख, इतने बरसों से मैं तेरी ख़िदमत करता हूँ और कभी तेरी नाफ़रमानी नहीं की, मगर मुझे तूने कभी एक बकरी का बच्चा भी न दिया कि अपने दोस्तों के साथ ख़ुशी मनाता।
30 But aftir that this thi sone, that hath deuourid his substaunce with horis, cam, thou hast slayn to hym a fat calf.
लेकिन जब तेरा ये बेटा आया जिसने तेरा माल — ओ — अस्बाब कस्बियों में उड़ा दिया, तो उसके लिए तूने तैयार किया हुआ जानवर ज़बह कराया है'।
31 And he seide to hym, Sone, thou art euer more with me, and alle my thingis ben thine.
उसने उससे कहा, बेटा, तू तो हमेशा मेरे पास है और जो कुछ मेरा है वो तेरा ही है।
32 But it bihofte for to make feeste, and to haue ioye; for this thi brother was deed, and lyuede ayen; he perischide, and is foundun.
लेकिन ख़ुशी मनाना और शादमान होना मुनासिब था, क्यूँकि तेरा ये भाई मुर्दा था अब ज़िन्दा हुआ, खोया था अब मिला है'।”
