Luke 15
1 And pupplicans and synful men weren neiyynge to him, to here hym.
੧ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਚੂੰਗੀ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਪੀ, ਯਿਸੂ ਦੀ ਸੁਣਨ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ।
2 And the Farisees and scribis grutchiden, seiynge, For this resseyueth synful men, and etith with hem.
੨ਫ਼ਰੀਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਕੁੜ੍ਹਨ ਲੱਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਤਾਂ ਪਾਪੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਬੂਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ!
3 And he spak to hem this parable,
੩ਫਿਰ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਂਤ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ,
4 and seide, What man of you that hath an hundrith scheep, and if he hath lost oon of hem, whethir he leeueth not nynti and nyne in desert, and goith to it that perischide, til he fynde it?
੪ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਉਹ ਕਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਸੌ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਹੋਣ ਅਤੇ ਜੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਗੁਆਚ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਨੜਿੰਨਵਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਗੁਆਚੀ ਹੋਈ ਦੀ ਭੇਡ ਦੀ ਖ਼ੋਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਜਾਵੇ ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਲੱਭੇ?
5 And whanne he hath foundun it, he ioieth, and leyith it on hise schuldris; and he cometh hoom,
੫ਅਤੇ ਜਦ ਲੱਭ ਪਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਿਆਂ ਮੋਢਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੁੱਕ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
6 and clepith togidir hise freendis and neiyboris, and seith to hem, Be ye glad with me, for Y haue founde my scheep, that hadde perischid.
੬ਅਤੇ ਘਰ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਿੱਤਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਆਂਢੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਮਨਾਓ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਗੁਆਚੀ ਹੋਈ ਭੇਡ ਲੱਭ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
7 And Y seie to you, so ioye schal be in heuene on o synful man doynge penaunce, more than on nynti and nyne iuste, that han no nede to penaunce.
੭ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਵਰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਇੱਕ ਤੋਬਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਾਪੀ ਕੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਬਹੁਤ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ, ਜਿੰਨੀ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੜਿੰਨਵਿਆਂ ਧਰਮੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੋਬਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
8 Or what womman hauynge ten besauntis, and if sche hath lost oo besaunt, whether sche teendith not a lanterne, and turneth vpsodoun the hows, and sekith diligentli, til that sche fynde it?
੮ਜਾਂ ਕਿਹੜੀ ਔਰਤ ਹੈ ਜਿਹ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਦੱਸ ਸਿੱਕੇ ਹੋਣ ਅਤੇ ਜੇ ਇੱਕ ਸਿੱਕਾ ਗੁਆਚ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਦੀਵਾ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਘਰ ਦੀ ਸਾਫ਼ ਸਫ਼ਾਈ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਯਤਨ ਨਾਲ ਲੱਭਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਲੱਭੇ?
9 And whanne sche hath foundun, sche clepith togidir freendis and neiyboris, and seith, Be ye glad with me, for Y haue founde the besaunt, that Y hadde lost.
੯ਅਤੇ ਜਦ ਲੱਭ ਲਏ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸਹੇਲੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਆਂਢਣਾ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾ ਕੇ ਆਖਦੀ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਮਨਾਓ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਗੁਆਚਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸਿੱਕਾ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
10 So Y seie to you, ioye schal be bifor aungels of God on o synful man doynge penaunce.
੧੦ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਇੱਕ ਤੋਬਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਾਪੀ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਿਆਂ ਦੂਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
11 And he seide, A man hadde twei sones;
੧੧ਫਿਰ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ।
12 and the yonger of hem seide to the fadir, Fadir, yyue me the porcioun of catel, that fallith to me. And he departide to hem the catel.
੧੨ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਛੋਟੇ ਨੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਪਿਤਾ ਜੀ ਜਾਇਦਾਦ ਦਾ ਜੋ ਮੇਰਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਸੋ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦਿਓ। ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਇਦਾਦ ਵੰਡ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
13 And not aftir many daies, whanne alle thingis weren gederid togider, the yonger sone wente forth in pilgrymage in to a fer cuntre; and there he wastide hise goodis in lyuynge lecherously.
੧੩ਕੁਝ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਛੋਟਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੱਭੋ ਕੁਝ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਦੂਰ ਦੇਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਧਨ ਬੁਰੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਡਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
14 And aftir that he hadde endid alle thingis, a strong hungre was maad in that cuntre, and he bigan to haue nede.
੧੪ਜਦ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਖ਼ਰਚ ਕਰ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡਾ ਕਾਲ ਪੈ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਮੁਹਤਾਜ ਹੋਣ ਲੱਗਾ।
15 And he wente, and drouy hym to oon of the citeseyns of that cuntre. And he sente hym in to his toun, to fede swyn.
੧੫ਤਦ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਵਸਨੀਕ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੂਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਭੇਜਿਆ।
16 And he coueitide to fille his wombe of the coddis that the hoggis eeten, and no man yaf hym.
੧੬ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਛਿੱਲਕਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੋ ਸੂਰ ਖਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ, ਆਪਣਾ ਪੇਟ ਭਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਨਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
17 And he turnede ayen to hym silf, and seide, Hou many hirid men in my fadir hous han plente of looues; and Y perische here thorouy hungir.
੧੭ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਹੋਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਕਿੰਨੇ ਹੀ ਨੌਕਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਵਾਧੂ ਭੋਜਨ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਐਥੇ ਭੁੱਖਾ ਮਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
18 Y schal rise vp, and go to my fadir, and Y schal seie to hym, Fadir, Y haue synned in to heuene, and bifor thee;
੧੮ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਕੋਲ ਜਾਂਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਾਂਗਾ, ਪਿਤਾ ਜੀ ਮੈਂ ਸਵਰਗ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
19 and now Y am not worthi to be clepid thi sone, make me as oon of thin hirid men.
੧੯ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਲਾਇਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਜੋ ਫੇਰ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਦਾਵਾਂ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੌਕਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਜਿਹਾ ਰੱਖ ਲਓ।
20 And he roos vp, and cam to his fadir. And whanne he was yit afer, his fadir saiy hym, and was stirrid bi mercy. And he ran, and fel on his necke, and kisside hym.
੨੦ਸੋ ਉਹ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਕੋਲ ਗਿਆ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਅਜੇ ਦੂਰ ਹੀ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਤਰਸ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਦੌੜ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਗਲੇ ਲਾ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੰਮਿਆ।
21 And the sone seide to hym, Fadir, Y haue synned in to heuene, and bifor thee; and now Y am not worthi to be clepid thi sone.
੨੧ਅਤੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਪਿਤਾ ਜੀ ਮੈਂ ਸਵਰਗ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਲਾਇਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਜੋ ਫੇਰ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਦਾਵਾਂ।
22 And the fadir seide to hise seruauntis, Swithe brynge ye forth the firste stoole, and clothe ye hym, and yyue ye a ryng in his hoond,
੨੨ਪਰ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੌਕਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਛੇਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਚੰਗੇ ਬਸਤਰ ਕੱਢ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਨਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੰਗੂਠੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੈਰੀਂ ਜੁੱਤੀ ਪਾਓ।
23 and schoon on hise feet; and brynge ye a fat calf, and sle ye, and ete we, and make we feeste.
੨੩ਅਤੇ ਪਲਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਵੱਛਾ ਲਿਆ ਕੇ ਦਾਵਤ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰੋ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਮਨਾਈਏ।
24 For this my sone was deed, and hath lyued ayen; he perischid, and is foundun. And alle men bigunnen to ete.
੨੪ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੇਰਾ ਇਹ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਜੀ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ, ਗੁਆਚ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਲੱਭ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ। ਸੋ ਉਹ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗੇ।
25 But his eldere sone was in the feeld; and whanne he cam, and neiyede to the hous, he herde a symfonye and a croude.
੨੫ਪਰ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਖੇਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਦ ਉਹ ਵਾਪਸ ਆਣ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਪੁੱਜਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਗਾਉਣ ਵਜਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਨੱਚਣ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣੀ।
26 And he clepide oon of the seruauntis, and axide, what these thingis weren.
੨੬ਤਦ ਇੱਕ ਨੌਕਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੋਲ ਬੁਲਾ ਕੇ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਕੀ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ?
27 And he seide to hym, Thi brother is comun, and thi fadir slewe a fat calf, for he resseyuede hym saaf.
੨੭ਨੌਕਰ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ, ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਭਰਾ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਪਲਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਵੱਛਾ ਕੱਟਿਆ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਭਲਾ ਚੰਗਾ ਪਾਇਆ।
28 And he was wrooth, and wolde not come in. Therfor his fadir wente out, and bigan to preye hym.
੨੮ਇਹ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਜਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਸੋ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਬਾਹਰ ਆ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਨਾਉਣ ਲੱਗਾ।
29 And he answerde to his fadir, and seide, Lo! so many yeeris Y serue thee, and Y neuer brak thi comaundement; and thou neuer yaf to me a kidde, that Y with my freendis schulde haue ete.
੨੯ਪਰ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਵੇਖ ਮੈਂ ਐਨੇ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਦੇ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੋੜਿਆ ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਬੱਕਰੀ ਦਾ ਬੱਚਾ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਿੱਤਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਕਰਾਂ।
30 But aftir that this thi sone, that hath deuourid his substaunce with horis, cam, thou hast slayn to hym a fat calf.
੩੦ਪਰ ਜਦ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਇਹ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਆਇਆ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਪੂੰਜੀ ਵੇਸਵਾਂਵਾ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਡਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਪਲਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਵੱਛਾ ਕੱਟਿਆ।
31 And he seide to hym, Sone, thou art euer more with me, and alle my thingis ben thine.
੩੧ਪਰ ਪਿਤਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਬੇਟਾ ਤੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਹੈ।
32 But it bihofte for to make feeste, and to haue ioye; for this thi brother was deed, and lyuede ayen; he perischide, and is foundun.
੩੨ਪਰ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਕਰਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਨੰਦ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਇਹ ਭਰਾ ਜੋ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਫੇਰ ਜੀ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਆਚ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਲੱਭ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ।
