Leviticus 1
1 Forsothe the Lord clepide Moyses, and spak to him fro the tabernacle of witnessyng, `and seide,
Der HERR berief hierauf Mose und gebot ihm aus dem Offenbarungszelte folgendes:
2 Speke thou to the sones of Israel, and thou schalt seie to hem, A man of you, that offrith to the Lord a sacrifice of beestis, that is, of oxun and of scheep, and offrith slayn sacrifices, if his offryng is brent sacrifice,
»Rede zu den Israeliten und befiehl ihnen: Wenn jemand von euch dem HERRN eine Opfergabe darbringen will, so sollt ihr eure Opfergabe vom Vieh, und zwar von den Rindern und vom Kleinvieh, darbringen.«
3 and of the droue of oxun, he schal offre a male beeste without wem at the dore of the tabernacle of witnessyng, to make the Lord plesid to hym.
»Wenn seine Opfergabe in einem Brandopfer bestehen soll, und zwar von einem Rind, so muß er ein fehlerloses männliches Tier opfern. Er bringe dieses an den Eingang des Offenbarungszeltes, damit es ihm das Wohlgefallen des HERRN verschaffe.
4 And he schal sette hondis on the heed of the sacrifice, and it schal be acceptable, and profityng in to clensyng of hym.
Dann lege er seine Hand fest auf den Kopf des Brandopfertieres, so wird es wohlgefällig aufgenommen werden und ihm Sühne verschaffen.
5 And he schal offre a calf bifor the Lord, and the sones of Aaron, preestis, schulen offre the blood ther of, and thei schulen schede bi the cumpas of the auter, which is bifor the dore of the tabernacle.
Hierauf schlachte man das junge Rind vor dem HERRN; und die Priester, die Söhne Aarons, sollen das Blut herzubringen, und zwar so, daß sie das Blut ringsum an den Altar sprengen, der am Eingang des Offenbarungszeltes steht.
6 And whanne the skyn of the sacrifice is drawun awei, thei schulen kitte the membris in to gobetis;
Dann soll man dem Brandopfertier die Haut abziehen und es in seine Stücke zerlegen;
7 and thei schulen put vndur in the auter fier, and thei schulen make an heep of wode bifore; and thei schulen ordeyne aboue
die Söhne Aarons aber, die Priester, sollen Feuer auf den Altar tun und Holzstücke über dem Feuer aufschichten;
8 `the trees tho thingis that ben kit, that is, the heed, and alle thingis that cleuen to the mawe,
sodann sollen die Söhne Aarons, die Priester, die Stücke, auch den Kopf und das Fett, auf dem Holz, das auf dem Altar über dem Feuer liegt, gehörig zurechtlegen.
9 whanne the entrailis and feet ben waischid with watir; and the preest schal brenne tho on the auter, in to brent sacrifice, and swete odour to the Lord.
Die Eingeweide und Beine des Tieres aber soll man mit Wasser waschen, und der Priester soll dann das Ganze auf dem Altar in Rauch aufgehen lassen: so ist es ein Brandopfer, ein Feueropfer zu lieblichem Geruch für den HERRN.«
10 That if the offryng is of litle beestis, a brent sacrifice of scheep, ethir of geet, he schal offre a male beeste with out wem,
»Wenn aber seine Opfergabe, die ein Brandopfer sein soll, in einem Stück Kleinvieh, einem Schaf oder einer Ziege, besteht, so muß es ein männliches, fehlerloses Tier sein, das er zum Opfer bringt.
11 and he schal offre at the side of the auter that biholdith to the north, bifore the Lord. Sotheli the sones of Aaron schulen schede the blood therof on the auter `bi cumpas,
Man schlachte dieses vor dem HERRN an der Nordseite des Altars; die Söhne Aarons aber, die Priester, sollen das Blut des Tieres ringsum an den Altar sprengen.
12 and thei schulen departe the membris, the heed, and alle thingis that cleuen to the mawe, and thei schulen putte on the trees, vndur whiche the fier schal be set;
Dann soll man es in seine Stücke zerlegen, und der Priester soll diese, und zwar auch den Kopf und das Fett, auf dem Holz, das auf dem Altar über dem Feuer liegt, gehörig zurechtlegen.
13 sotheli thei schulen waische in watir the entrailis and feet; and the preest schal brenne alle thingis offrid on the auter, in to brent sacrifice, and swettest odour to the Lord.
Die Eingeweide und Beine aber soll man mit Wasser waschen, und der Priester soll dann das Ganze darbringen und es auf dem Altar in Rauch aufgehen lassen: so ist es ein Brandopfer, ein Feueropfer zu lieblichem Geruch für den HERRN.«
14 Forsothe if the offryng of brent sacrifice to the Lord is of briddis, of turtlis, and of culuer briddis,
»Wenn aber seine Opfergabe für den HERRN, die ein Brandopfer sein soll, in Geflügel besteht, so müssen es Turteltauben oder junge Tauben sein, die er als Opfergabe darbringt.
15 the preest schal offre it at the auter; and whanne the heed is writhun to the necke, and the place of the wounde is brokun, he schal make the blood renne doun on the brenke of the auter.
Der Priester bringe das Tier an den Altar, knicke ihm den Kopf ab und lasse diesen auf dem Altar in Rauch aufgehen; das Blut aber lasse er an die Wand des Altars auslaufen.
16 Sotheli he schal caste forth the litil bladdir of the throte, and fetheris bisidis the auter, at the eest coost, in the place in which the aischis ben wont to be sched out;
Darauf soll er den Kropf mit seinem Unrat entfernen und ihn neben den Altar gegen Osten auf die Aschenstelle werfen.
17 and he schal breke the wyngis therof, and he schal not kerue, nether he schal departe it with yrun; and he schal brenne it on the auter, whanne fier is set vndur the trees; it is a brent sacrifice, and an offryng of swete odour to the Lord.
Hierauf soll er dem Vogel die Flügel einreißen, jedoch ohne sie ganz abzutrennen, und der Priester soll ihn auf dem Altar, auf dem Holz, das über dem Feuer liegt, in Rauch aufgehen lassen: so ist es ein Brandopfer, ein Feueropfer zu lieblichem Geruch für den HERRN.«
