Leviticus 9
1 Forsothe whanne the eiytithe dai was maad, Moises clepide Aaron, and hise sones, and the grettere men in birthe of Israel;
Le huitième jour, Moïse appela Aaron et ses fils, et les anciens d’Israël.
2 and he seide to Aaron, Take thou of the droue a calf for synne, and a ram `in to brent sacrifice, euer either with oute wem, and offre tho bifor the Lord.
Il dit à Aaron: « Prends un jeune veau pour le sacrifice pour le péché et un bélier pour l’holocauste, tous deux sans défaut, et offre-les devant Yahweh.
3 And thou schalt speke to the sones of Israel, Take ye a buk of geet for synne, and a calf, and a lomb of o yeer and with out wem,
Tu parleras aux enfants d’Israël, en disant: Prenez un bouc pour le sacrifice pour le péché; un veau et un agneau âgés d’un an et sans défaut pour l’holocauste;
4 in to brent sacrifice, an oxe and a ram for pesible thingis; and offre ye tho bifor the Lord, and offre ye whete flour spreynt with oile in the sacrifice of ech; for to dai the Lord schal appere to you.
un bœuf et un bélier pour le sacrifice pacifique, afin de les immoler devant Yahweh; et une oblation pétrie à l’huile. Car aujourd’hui Yahweh vous apparaîtra. »
5 Therfor thei token alle thingis, whiche Moises comaundide, to the dore of the tabernacle, where, whanne al the multitude stood,
Ils amenèrent devant la tente de réunion ce que Moïse avait commandé, et toute l’assemblée s’approcha et se tint devant Yahweh.
6 Moises seide, This is the word, which the Lord comaundide, do ye, and his glorie schal appere to you.
Alors Moïse dit: « Faites ce que Yahweh vous ordonne, et la gloire de Yahweh vous apparaîtra. »
7 And Moises seide to Aaron, Neiye thou to the auter, and offre thou for thi synne; offre thou brent sacrifice, and preye for thee, and for the puple; and whanne thou hast slayn the sacrifice of the puple, preye thou for hem, as the Lord comaundide.
Moïse dit à Aaron: « Approche-toi de l’autel; offre ton sacrifice pour le péché et ton holocauste, et fais l’expiation pour toi et pour le peuple; présente aussi l’offrande du peuple et fais l’expiation pour lui, comme Yahweh l’a ordonné. »
8 And anoon Aaron neiyede to the auter, and offride a calf for his synne;
Aaron s’approcha de l’autel et égorgea le veau du sacrifice pour le péché offert pour lui.
9 whos blood hise sones offriden to him, in which blood he dippide the fyngur, and touchide the hornes of the auter, and schedde the residue at the foundement therof;
Les fils d’Aaron lui ayant présenté le sang, il y trempa son doigt, en mit sur les cornes de l’autel et répandit le sang au pied de l’autel.
10 and he brente on the auter the ynnere fatnesse, and litle reynes, and the calle of the mawe, as the Lord comaundide to Moises.
Il fit fumer sur l’autel la graisse, les rognons et la taie du foie de la victime pour le péché, comme Yahweh l’avait ordonné à Moïse;
11 Forsothe he brente bi fier without the castels the fleischis and skyn therof.
mais la chair et la peau, il les brûla par le feu hors du camp.
12 And he offride the beeste of brent sacrifice, and hise sones offriden to hym the blood therof, which he schedde bi the cumpas of the auter;
Il égorgea l’holocauste, et les fils d’Aaron lui ayant présenté le sang, il le répandit sur l’autel, tout autour.
13 thei offriden also thilke sacrifice kit in to gobetis, with the heed, and alle membris; and he brente bi fier alle these thingis on the auter,
Ils lui présentèrent l’holocauste coupé en morceaux, avec la tête, et il les fit fumer sur l’autel.
14 whanne the entrailis and feet weren waischun bifor with watir.
Il lava les entrailles et les jambes, et les fit fumer sur l’autel par-dessus l’holocauste.
15 And he offride and killide a buk of geet, for the synne of the puple; and whanne the auter was clensid,
Il présenta ensuite l’offrande du peuple. Il prit le bouc du sacrifice pour le péché offert pour le peuple, et l’ayant égorgé, il l’offrit en expiation, comme il avait fait pour la première victime.
16 he made brent sacrifice,
il offrit de même l’holocauste et le sacrifia suivant le rite.
17 and addide in to the sacrifice fletynge offryngis that ben offrid togidere; and he brente tho on the auter, without cerymonyes of brent sacrifice of the morewtid.
Il présenta l’oblation, en prit une poignée et la consuma sur l’autel, en sus de l’holocauste du matin.
18 He offride also an oxe, and a ram, pesible sacrifices of the puple; and hise sones offriden to hym the blood, which he schedde bi the cumpas of the auter.
Enfin il égorgea le taureau et le bélier en sacrifice pacifique pour le peuple. Les fils d’Aaron lui présentèrent le sang, qu’il répandit sur l’autel tout autour;
19 Forsothe thei puttiden on the brestis the ynnere fatnesse of the oxe, and the tail of the ram, and the litle reynes with her fatnessis, and the calle of the mawe.
ainsi que les parties grasses du taureau et du bélier, la queue, la graisse qui enveloppe les entrailles, les rognons et la taie du foie;
20 And whanne the ynnere fatnessis weren brent in the auter,
et ils placèrent les graisses sur les poitrines, et il fit fumer les graisses sur l’autel.
21 Aaron departide the brestis, and the riyt schuldris of tho, and reiside bifor the Lord, as Moises comaundide.
Puis Aaron balança devant Yahweh les poitrines et la cuisse droite en offrande balancée, comme Moïse l’avait ordonné.
22 And he streiyte forth hondis to the puple, and blesside it; and so whanne the sacrifices for synne, and brent sacrifices, and pesible sacrifices, weren fillid, he cam doun.
Alors Aaron, élevant ses mains vers le peuple, le bénit; et il descendit, après avoir offert le sacrifice pour le péché, l’holocauste et le sacrifice pacifique.
23 Sotheli Moyses and Aaron entriden in to the tabernacle of witnessyng, and yeden out aftirward, and blessiden the puple; and the glorie of the Lord apperide to al the multitude.
Moïse et Aaron entrèrent dans la tente de réunion; lorsqu’ils en sortirent, ils bénirent le peuple. Et la gloire de Yahweh apparut à tout le peuple,
24 And lo! fier yede out fro the Lord, and deuouride the brent sacrifice, and the ynnere fatnesses that weren on the auter; and whanne the cumpanyes hadden seyn this thing, thei preiseden the Lord, `and felden on her faces.
et le feu, sortant de devant Yahweh, dévora sur l’autel l’holocauste et les graisses. Et tout le peuple le vit; et ils poussèrent des cris de joie, et ils tombèrent sur leur face.
