Leviticus 8
1 And the Lord spak to Moises, and seide, Take thou Aaron with hise sones,
L’Éternel parla à Moïse en ces termes:
2 `the clothes of hem, and the oile of anoyntyng, a calf for synne, twei rammes, a panyere with therf looues;
"Va prendre Aaron, et ses fils avec lui; prends aussi les vêtements et l’huile d’onction, ainsi que le taureau expiatoire, les deux béliers et la corbeille d’azymes.
3 and thou schalt gedere al the cumpanye to the dore of the tabernacle.
Assemble aussi toute la communauté à l’entrée de la Tente d’assignation."
4 Moises dide as the Lord comaundide; and whanne al the company was gaderid bifor the yatis of the tabernacle, he seide,
Moïse se conforma à ce que l’Éternel lui avait ordonné, et la communauté s’assembla à l’entrée de la Tente d’assignation.
5 This is the word which the Lord comaundid to be don.
Et Moïse dit à la communauté: "Voici le cérémonial que l’Éternel a ordonné d’accomplir."
6 And anoon Moises offride Aaron and hise sones; and whanne he hadde waischun hem,
Alors Moïse fit approcher Aaron et ses fils, et les lava avec de l’eau.
7 he clothide the bischop with a lynnun schirte, `and girdide `the bischop with a girdil, and clothide with a coote of iacynt, and `puttide the cloth on the schuldris aboue,
Il lui passa la tunique, le ceignit de l’écharpe, le revêtit de la robe, mit l’éphod par-dessus, et l’entoura de la ceinture de l’éphod, au moyen de laquelle il fixa l’éphod autour de lui;
8 which cloth on the schuldris he boond with a girdil, and `dresside to the racional, wherynne doctryn and truthe was.
il posa sur lui le pectoral, et ajouta au pectoral les ourîm et les toummim:
9 And Moises hilide the heed with a mytre, and `settide theronne, ayens the forhed, the goldun plate halewid in halewyng, as the Lord comaundide to hym.
il mit la tiare sur sa tête, et fixa sur la tiare, du côté de la face, la plaque d’or, le saint diadème, comme l’Éternel l’avait enjoint à Moïse.
10 He took also the oile of anoyntyng, with which he anoyntide the tabernacle with al his purtenaunce;
Puis Moïse prit l’huile d’onction, en oignit le tabernacle et tout son contenu, et les consacra ainsi;
11 and whanne he hadde halewid and hadde spreynt the auter seuen sithes, he anoyntide it, and halewide with oile alle the vessels therof, and the `greet waischyng vessel with his foundement.
en aspergea sept fois l’autel, oignit ensuite l’autel et tous ses ustensiles, la cuve et son support, pour les consacrer;
12 Which oile he schedde on `the heed of Aaron, and anoyntide hym, and halewide.
et il versa de cette huile d’onction sur la tête d’Aaron, et il l’oignit pour le consacrer.
13 And he clothide with lynnun cootis, and girdide with girdils `his sones offrid, and settide on mytris, as the Lord comaundide.
Puis Moïse fit approcher les fils d’Aaron, les revêtit de tuniques, les ceignit d’écharpes et les coiffa de turbans, comme l’Éternel l’avait enjoint à Moïse.
14 He offeride also a calf for synne; and whanne Aaron and hise sones hadden put her hondis on `that calf,
Alors il fit avancer le taureau expiatoire, sur la tête duquel Aaron et ses fils appuyèrent leurs mains.
15 he offride it, and drow up blood; and whanne the fyngur was dippid, he touchide the corneris of the auter bi cumpas; whanne the auter was clensid and halewid, he schedde the `residue blood at the `foundement therof.
L’Ayant égorgé, Moïse recueillit le sang, en appliqua, avec le doigt, sur les cornes de l’autel tout autour, et purifia ainsi l’autel; puis il fit couler le sang dans le réceptacle de l’autel, qu’il consacra ainsi à la propitiation.
16 Sotheli he brent on the auter the ynnere fatnesse that was on the entrails, and the calle of the mawe, and the twei litle reynes with her litle fatnessis;
Et il prit toute la graisse des intestins, la membrane du foie, les deux rognons avec leur graisse, et les fit fumer sur l’autel.
17 and he brente without the castels the calf, with the skyn, fleischis, and dung, as the Lord comaundide.
Pour le taureau même, sa peau, sa chair et sa fiente, il les consuma par le feu hors du camp, comme l’Éternel l’avait prescrit à Moïse.
18 He offride also a ram in to brent sacrifice; and whanne Aaron and hise sones hadden set her hondis on the heed therof,
Puis il fit approcher le bélier destiné à l’holocauste; Aaron et ses fils appuyèrent leurs mains sur la tête de ce bélier.
19 he offride it, and schedde the blood therof bi the cumpas of the auter.
Après l’avoir égorgé, Moïse arrosa de son sang le tour de l’autel;
20 And he kittide thilke ram in to gobetis, and brente with fier the heed therof, and membris,
dépeça le bélier par quartiers, et réduisit en fumée la tête, les membres et la graisse.
21 and ynnere fatnesse, whanne the entrails and feet weren waischun bifore; and he brente al the ram togidere on the auter, for it was the brent sacrifice of swettiste odour to the Lord, as the Lord comaundide to hym.
Les intestins et les jambes, il les lava dans l’eau, et fit fumer tout le bélier sur l’autel. Ce fut un holocauste d’odeur agréable, une combustion en l’honneur de l’Éternel, selon ce que l’Éternel avait prescrit à Moïse.
22 He offride also the secounde ram, in to the halewyng of preestis; and Aaron and hise sones puttiden her hondis on the heed therof.
Il fit ensuite approcher le second bélier, le bélier d’inauguration; Aaron et ses fils appuyèrent leurs mains sur la tête de ce bélier.
23 And whanne Moises hadde offrid the ram, he took of the blood, and touchide the laste part of the riyt eere of Aaron, and the thombe of his riyt hond, in lijk maner and of the foot.
L’Ayant immolé, Moïse prit de son sang, qu’il appliqua sur le lobe de l’oreille droite d’Aaron, sur le pouce de sa main droite et sur l’orteil de son pied droit;
24 He offride also `the sones of Aaron. And whanne he hadde touchid of the blood of the ram offrid the laste part of `the riyt eeris of alle, and `the thombis of the riyt hond and foot, he schedde the `tothir blood on the auter bi cumpas.
puis, faisant approcher les fils d’Aaron, Moïse mit de ce sang sur le lobe de leur oreille droite, sur le pouce de leur main droite et sur l’orteil de leur pied droit, et il répandit le sang sur le tour de l’autel.
25 Sotheli he departide the ynnere fatnesse, and the taile, and al the fatnesse that hilith the entrails, and the calle of the mawe, and the twey reynes with her fatnessis and with the riyt schuldur.
II prit les parties grasses, la queue, toute la graisse des intestins, la membrane du foie, les deux rognons avec leur graisse, ainsi que la cuisse droite;
26 Forsothe he took of the panyere of therf looues, that was bifor the Lord, looues without sour dow, and a cake spreynt with oile, and he puttide looues first sodun in watir and aftirward fried in oile on the ynnere fatnesse, and the riyt schuldur; and bitook alle thingis togidere to Aaron,
dans la corbeille d’azymes placée devant le Seigneur, il prit un gâteau azyme, un gâteau à l’huile et une galette, les joignit aux graisses et à la cuisse droite,
27 and to hise sones. And aftir that thei `reisiden tho bifore the Lord,
posa le tout sur les mains d’Aaron et sur les mains de ses fils, et en opéra le balancement devant l’Éternel.
28 eft `he brente tho takun of her hondis, on the auter of brent sacrifice, for it was the offryng of halewyng, in to the odour of swetnesse of sacrifice `into his part to the Lord.
Et Moïse reprit ces objets de dessus leurs mains, et les fit fumer sur l’autel, par-dessus l’holocauste. Ce fut une offrande inaugurale d’odeur délectable, ce fut un sacrifice à l’Éternel.
29 He took also the brest of the ram of consecracioun in to his part, and reiside it bifor the Lord, as the Lord comaundide to hym.
Moïse prit la poitrine et en fit le balancement devant l’Éternel; cette pièce du bélier d’inauguration devint la part de Moïse, ainsi que l’Éternel l’avait ordonné à Moïse.
30 And he took the oynement, and blood that was in the auter, and `spreynte on Aaron, and hise clothis, and on `the sones of hym, and on her clothis.
Alors Moïse prit de l’huile d’onction et du sang qui était près de l’autel et en fit aspersion sur Aaron, sur ses vêtements, puis sur ses fils et sur les vêtements de ses fils aussi; il consacra ainsi Aaron, ses vêtements, et avec lui ses fils et les vêtements de ses fils.
31 And whanne he hadde halewid hem in her clothing, he comaundide to hem, and seide, Sethe ye fleischis bifor the `yatis of the tabernacle, and there ete ye tho; also ete ye the looues of halewyng, that ben put in the panyere, as God comaundide to me, `and seide, Aaron and hise sones schulen ete tho looues;
Et Moïse dit à Aaron et à ses fils: "Faites cuire la chair à l’entrée de la Tente d’assignation; c’est là que vous la mangerez, avec le pain qui est dans la corbeille d’inauguration, ainsi que je l’ai ordonné en disant: Aaron et ses fils doivent la manger.
32 sotheli whateuer thing is residue of the fleisch and looues, fier schal waste.
Ce qui restera de la chair et du pain, vous le consumerez par le feu.
33 Also ye schulen not go out of the dore of the tabernacle in seuene daies, til to the day in which the tyme of youre halewyng schal be fillid; for the halewyng is endid in seuene dayes,
Vous ne quitterez point le seuil de la Tente d’assignation durant sept jours, jusqu’au terme des jours de votre installation: car votre installation doit durer sept jours.
34 as it is doon in present tyme, that the riytfulnesse of sacrifice were fillid.
Comme on a procédé en ce jour, l’Éternel a ordonné qu’on procède encore, pour achever votre propitiation.
35 Ye schulen dwelle dai and nyyt in the tabernacle, and ye schulen kepe the kepyngis of the Lord, that ye die not; for so it is comaundid to me.
Vous demeurerez à l’entrée de la Tente d’assignation, jour et nuit, durant sept jours, et vous garderez l’observance du Seigneur, afin de ne pas mourir: car tel est l’ordre que j’ai reçu."
36 And Aaron and hise sones diden alle thingis, whiche the Lord spak bi the hond of Moises.
Aaron et ses fils exécutèrent toutes les choses que l’Éternel leur avait fait enjoindre par Moïse.
