Leviticus 6
1 And the Lord spak to Moises,
L’Éternel parla à Moïse, et dit:
2 and seide, A soule that synneth, and dispisith the Lord, and denyeth to his neiybore a thing bitakun to kepyng, that was bitakun to his feith, ethir takith maisterfuli a thing bi violence, ether makith fals chaleng,
Lorsque quelqu’un péchera et commettra une infidélité envers l’Éternel, en mentant à son prochain au sujet d’un dépôt, d’un objet confié à sa garde, d’une chose volée ou soustraite par fraude,
3 ether fyndith a thing lost, and denyeth ferthermore and forswerith, and doth ony other thing of manye in whiche thingis men ben wont to do synne,
en niant d’avoir trouvé une chose perdue, ou en faisant un faux serment sur une chose quelconque de nature à constituer un péché;
4 `if it is conuict of the gilt,
lorsqu’il péchera ainsi et se rendra coupable, il restituera la chose qu’il a volée ou soustraite par fraude, la chose qui lui avait été confiée en dépôt, la chose perdue qu’il a trouvée,
5 it schal yelde hool alle thingis whiche it wolde gete bi fraude, and ferthermore the fyuethe part to the lord, to whom it dide harm.
ou la chose quelconque sur laquelle il a fait un faux serment. Il la restituera en son entier, y ajoutera un cinquième, et la remettra à son propriétaire, le jour même où il offrira son sacrifice de culpabilité.
6 Sotheli for his synne it schal offre a ram vnwemmed of the floc, and it schal yyue that ram to the preest, bi the valu and mesure of the trespas;
Il présentera au sacrificateur en sacrifice de culpabilité à l’Éternel pour son péché un bélier sans défaut, pris du troupeau d’après ton estimation.
7 and the preest schal preie for hym bifor the Lord, and it schal be foryouun to hym, for alle thingis whiche he synnede in doyng.
Et le sacrificateur fera pour lui l’expiation devant l’Éternel, et il lui sera pardonné, quelle que soit la faute dont il se sera rendu coupable.
8 And the Lord spak to Moises, and seide,
L’Éternel parla à Moïse, et dit:
9 Comaunde thou to Aaron, and to hise sones, This is the lawe of brent sacrifice; it schal be brent in the auter al nyyt til the morewe; fier that is youun fro heuene schal be of the same auter.
Donne cet ordre à Aaron et à ses fils, et dis: Voici la loi de l’holocauste. L’holocauste restera sur le foyer de l’autel toute la nuit jusqu’au matin, et le feu brûlera sur l’autel.
10 The preest schal be clothid with a coote, and `pryuy lynnun clothis; and he schal take awei the aischis, which the fier deuourynge brente, and he schal putte bisidis the auter;
Le sacrificateur revêtira sa tunique de lin, et mettra des caleçons sur sa chair, il enlèvera la cendre faite par le feu qui aura consumé l’holocauste sur l’autel, et il la déposera près de l’autel.
11 and he schal be spuylid of the formere clothis, and he schal be clothid with other, and schal bere aischis out of the castels, and in a moost clene place he schal make tho to be wastid til to a deed sparcle.
Puis il quittera ses vêtements et en mettra d’autres, pour porter la cendre hors du camp, dans un lieu pur.
12 Forsothe fier schal brenne euere in the auter, which fier the preest schal nurische, puttynge trees vndur, in the morewtid bi ech dai; and whanne brent sacrifice is put aboue, the preest schal brenne the ynnere fatnessis of pesible thingis.
Le feu brûlera sur l’autel, il ne s’éteindra point; chaque matin, le sacrificateur y allumera du bois, arrangera l’holocauste, et brûlera la graisse des sacrifices d’actions de grâces.
13 This is euerlastynge fier, that schal neuer faile in the auter.
Le feu brûlera continuellement sur l’autel, il ne s’éteindra point.
14 This is the lawe of sacrifice, and of fletynge offryngis, whiche `the sones of Aaron schulen offre bifore the Lord, and bifor the auter.
Voici la loi de l’offrande. Les fils d’Aaron la présenteront devant l’Éternel, devant l’autel.
15 The preest schal take an handful of wheete flour, which is spreynd with oile, and al the encense which is put on the wheete flour, and he schal brenne it in the auter, in to mynde of swettist odour to the Lord.
Le sacrificateur prélèvera une poignée de la fleur de farine et de l’huile, avec tout l’encens ajouté à l’offrande, et il brûlera cela sur l’autel comme souvenir d’une agréable odeur à l’Éternel.
16 Forsothe Aaron with hise sones schal ete the tother part of wheete flour, without sour dow; and he schal ete in the hooli place of the greet street of the tabernacle.
Aaron et ses fils mangeront ce qui restera de l’offrande; ils le mangeront sans levain, dans un lieu saint, dans le parvis de la tente d’assignation.
17 Sotheli herfor it schal not be `diyt with sour dow, for a part therof is offrid in to encense of the Lord; it schal be hooli `of the noumbre of holi thingis, as for synne and for trespas.
On ne le cuira pas avec du levain. C’est la part que je leur ai donnée de mes offrandes consumées par le feu. C’est une chose très sainte, comme le sacrifice d’expiation et comme le sacrifice de culpabilité.
18 Malis oonli of the kynrede of Aaron schulen ete it; it is a lawful thing and euerlastynge in youre generaciouns, of the sacrifice of the Lord; ech man that touchith tho schal be halewyd.
Tout mâle d’entre les enfants d’Aaron en mangera. C’est une loi perpétuelle pour vos descendants, au sujet des offrandes consumées par le feu devant l’Éternel: quiconque y touchera sera sanctifié.
19 And the Lord spak to Moises,
L’Éternel parla à Moïse, et dit:
20 and seide, This is the offryng of Aaron, and of hise sones, which thei owen offre to the Lord in the day of her anoyntyng; thei schulen offre the tenthe part of ephi of wheete flour, in euerlastynge sacrifice, the myddis therof in the morewtid, and the myddis therof in the euentid;
Voici l’offrande qu’Aaron et ses fils feront à l’Éternel, le jour où ils recevront l’onction: un dixième d’épha de fleur de farine, comme offrande perpétuelle, moitié le matin et moitié le soir.
21 which schal be spreynt with oile in the friyng panne, and schal be fried.
Elle sera préparée à la poêle avec de l’huile, et tu l’apporteras frite; tu la présenteras aussi cuite et en morceaux comme une offrande d’une agréable odeur à l’Éternel.
22 Sotheli the preest which is successour to the fadir `bi riyt, schal offre it hoot, in to sweteste odour to the Lord; and al it schal be brent in the auter.
Le sacrificateur qui, parmi les fils d’Aaron, sera oint pour lui succéder, fera aussi cette offrande. C’est une loi perpétuelle devant l’Éternel: elle sera brûlée en entier.
23 For al the sacrifice of preestis schal be wastid with fier, nether ony man schal ete therof.
Toute offrande d’un sacrificateur sera brûlée en entier; elle ne sera point mangée.
24 And the Lord spak to Moises, and seide,
L’Éternel parla à Moïse, et dit:
25 Spek thou to Aaron and to hise sones, This is the lawe of sacrifice for synne; it schal be offrid bifor the Lord, in the place where brent sacrifice is offrid; it is hooli `of the noumbre of hooli thingis.
Parle à Aaron et à ses fils, et dis: Voici la loi du sacrifice d’expiation. C’est dans le lieu où l’on égorge l’holocauste que sera égorgée devant l’Éternel la victime pour le sacrifice d’expiation: c’est une chose très sainte.
26 The preest that offrith it, schal ete it in the hooli place, in the greet street of the tabernacle.
Le sacrificateur qui offrira la victime expiatoire la mangera; elle sera mangée dans un lieu saint, dans le parvis de la tente d’assignation.
27 What euer thing schal touche the fleischis therof, it schal be halewid; if a cloth is bispreynt of the blood therof, it schal be waischun in the hooli place.
Quiconque en touchera la chair sera sanctifié. S’il en rejaillit du sang sur un vêtement, la place sur laquelle il aura rejailli sera lavée dans un lieu saint.
28 Sotheli the erthun vessel, in which it is sodun, schal be brokun; that if the vessel is of bras, it schal be scourid, and `schal be waischun with watir.
Le vase de terre dans lequel elle aura cuit sera brisé; si c’est dans un vase d’airain qu’elle a cuit, il sera nettoyé et lavé dans l’eau.
29 Ech male of preestis kyn schal ete of the fleischis therof; for it is hooli `of the noumbre of hooli thingis.
Tout mâle parmi les sacrificateurs en mangera: c’est une chose très sainte.
30 Sotheli the sacrifice which is slayn for synne, whos blood is borun in to the tabernacle of witnessyng to clense in the seyntuarie, schal not be etun, but it schal be brent in fier.
Mais on ne mangera aucune victime expiatoire dont on apportera du sang dans la tente d’assignation, pour faire l’expiation dans le sanctuaire: elle sera brûlée au feu.
