Leviticus 27
1 And the Lord spak to Moises and seide, Speke thou to the sones of Israel,
Chúa Hằng Hữu phán bảo Môi-se:
2 and thou schalt seye to hem, A man that makith avow, and bihetith his soule to God, schal yyue the priys vndur valu, ether preisyng.
“Hãy nói với người Ít-ra-ên: Nếu một người có lời thề nguyện đặc biệt, hiến mình lên Chúa Hằng Hữu, thì người ấy sẽ trả số tiền quy định sau đây:
3 If it is a male, fro the twentithe yeer `til to the sixtithe yeer, he schal yyue fifti siclis of siluer, at the mesure of seyntuarie, if it is a womman,
Đàn ông từ hai mươi đến sáu mươi tuổi, 570 gam bạc, theo cân nơi thánh;
4 sche schal yyue thretti siclis;
phụ nữ, 342 gam bạc.
5 forsothe fro the fifthe yeer `til to the twentithe yeer, a male schal yyue twenti cyclis, a womman schal yyue ten ciclis;
Thanh thiếu niên từ năm đến hai mươi tuổi, 228 gam bạc; thiếu nữ trong hạn tuổi này, 114 gam bạc.
6 fro o monethe `til to the fifthe yeer, fyue ciclis schulen be youun for a male, thre ciclis for a womman;
Các em trai từ một tháng cho đến năm tuổi, 57 gam bạc; các em gái trong hạn tuổi này, 34 gam bạc;
7 a male of sixti yeer and ouer schal yyue fiftene ciclis, a womman schal yyue ten cyclis.
bậc lão thành nam giới trên sáu mươi tuổi, 171 gam bạc; bậc lão thành nữ giới trên sáu mươi, 114 gam bạc.
8 If it is a pore man, and may not yelde the valu, he schal stonde bifor the preest, and as myche as the preest preisith, and seeth that the pore man may yelde, so myche he schal yyue.
Nếu có người nghèo quá, không theo nổi số quy định trên, thì người ấy sẽ được đưa đến gặp thầy tế lễ, và thầy tế lễ sẽ ấn định số tiền phải trả tùy theo khả năng của người này.
9 Forsothe if ony man avowith a beeste, that may be offrid to the Lord, it schal be hooli,
Nếu một người thề nguyện hiến dâng một con vật nào lên Chúa Hằng Hữu, thì sinh lễ ấy sẽ là thánh.
10 and schal not mow be chaungid, that is, nethir a betere for `an yuel, nether `a worse for a good; and if he chaungith it, bothe that, that is chaungid, and that, for which it is chaungid, schal be halewid to the Lord.
Người ấy không cần thay thế, cũng không được trao đổi con vật hứa dâng, dù đổi con tốt ra con xấu hay con xấu ra con tốt cũng vậy. Nếu đổi được như thế, cả hai con đều thuộc về Chúa.
11 Sotheli if ony man avowith an vncleene beeste, that may not be offrid to the Lord, it schal be brouyt bifor the preest,
Trường hợp một người hứa dâng một con vật thuộc loại không sạch (không được phép dâng lên Chúa Hằng Hữu), người ấy sẽ đem con vật đến cho thầy tế lễ định giá,
12 and the preest schal deme whether it is good ether yuel, and schal sette the prijs;
và sẽ trả theo giá thầy tế lễ đã định.
13 which prijs if he that offrith wole yyue, he schal adde the fifthe part ouer the valu.
Trường hợp một người muốn chuộc lại con vật đã hứa dâng, người ấy phải trả thêm một phần năm giá trị con vật.
14 If a man avowith his hows, and halewith it to the Lord, the preest schal biholde, `whether it is good ether yuel, and bi the prijs, which is ordeyned of hym, it schal be seld;
Nếu một người muốn dâng ngôi nhà của mình lên Chúa Hằng Hữu, thầy tế lễ sẽ tùy theo nhà xấu tốt mà định giá. Giá ấy được giữ cố định.
15 sotheli if he that avowide wole ayen-bie it, he schal yyue the fifthe part of the valu aboue, and he schal haue the hows.
Về sau, nếu người dâng muốn chuộc nhà lại, phải trả thêm một phần năm giá đã định.
16 That if he avowith the feeld of his possessioun, and halewith to the Lord, the prijs schal be demed bi the mesure of seed; if the feeld is sowun with thritti buyschels of barli, it schal be seeld for fifti siclys of siluer.
Nếu một người muốn dâng một phần đất của mình lên Chúa Hằng Hữu, sự định giá đất sẽ tùy theo lượng hạt giống người ta có thể gieo trên đất ấy. Một miếng đất gieo hết mười giạ hạt giống lúa mạch, được định giá 570 gam bạc.
17 If he auowith the feeld anoon for the yeer of the iubilee bigynnynge, as myche as it may be worth, bi so myche it schal be preisid;
Nếu đất được dâng từ Năm Hân Hỉ, giá trị đất sẽ bằng giá quy định.
18 but if it be after `sum part of tyme, the preest schal rykene the money bi the noumbre of yeeris that ben residue `til to the iubilee, and it schal be withdrawun of the prijs.
Nhưng nếu dâng sau Năm Hân Hỉ, thầy tế lễ sẽ tính giá tùy theo số năm còn lại cho đến Năm Hân Hỉ; vậy giá trị đất này sẽ nhỏ hơn giá quy định.
19 That if he that avowide wole ayenbie the feeld, he schal adde the fyuethe part of the money preisid, and he schal welde it;
Nếu một người muốn chuộc lại đất vừa dâng, người ấy phải trả thêm một phần năm giá trị của đất.
20 but if he nyle ayenbie, but it is seeld to ony othir man, he that avowide schal `no more mowe ayenbie it;
Trường hợp người dâng không muốn chuộc đất hoặc đã bán đất cho người khác, đất sẽ không trở về với người ấy nữa.
21 for whanne the dai of iubilee cometh, it schal be halewid to the Lord, and the possessioun halewid perteyneth to the riyt of preestis.
Đến Năm Hân Hỉ, khi đất được hoàn lại nguyên chủ, phần đất này sẽ thuộc về Chúa Hằng Hữu, vì đã hiến dâng cho Ngài làm đất thánh, và sẽ được chia cho các thầy tế lễ.
22 If the feeld is bouyt, and is not of the possessioun of grettere men,
Nếu một người muốn dâng lên Chúa Hằng Hữu một miếng đất người ấy đã mua chứ không phải đất thừa hưởng của gia đình,
23 and is halewid to the Lord, the preest schal determyne the prijs bi the noumbre of yeeris `til to the iubilee, and he that avowide the feeld schal yyue the prijs to the Lord;
thầy tế lễ sẽ tính giá đất ấy cho đến Năm Hân Hỉ, và nội ngày ấy, người dâng phải đem số tiền bằng giá đất vừa chiết tính đến dâng lên Chúa Hằng Hữu.
24 forsothe in the iubilee it schal turne ayen to the formere lord that seelde it, and `haue he in to the eritage of his possessioun.
Đến Năm hân Hỉ, đất này sẽ thuộc về nguyên chủ tức là người bán.
25 `Ech preisyng schal be peisid bi the sicle of seyntuarie; a sicle hath twenti halpens.
(Việc định giá phải theo tiêu chuẩn tiền tệ và cân nơi thánh.)
26 No man may halewe and avowe the firste gendrid thingis that perteynen to the Lord, whether it is oxe, whether scheep, tho ben the Lordis part.
Không ai được hiến dâng lên Chúa Hằng Hữu các con đầu lòng của súc vật mình, dù là bò hay chiên, vì các con đầu lòng vốn thuộc về Chúa Hằng Hữu.
27 That if the beeste is vncleene, he that offride schal ayenbie by his valu, and he schal adde the fyuethe part of prijs; if he nyle ayenbie, it schal be seeld to another man, as myche euer as it is `set at valu.
Nhưng nếu con vật đem dâng thuộc loại không sạch (không được phép dâng lên Chúa Hằng Hữu), thầy tế lễ sẽ định giá con vật, và người dâng phải trả thêm một phần năm giá trị con vật ấy. Nếu người dâng không chuộc theo lối trả tiền này, thì phải đem bán con vật theo giá đã định.
28 Al thing which is halewid to the Lord, whether it is man, whether beeste, whether feeld, it schal not be seeld, nether it schal mow be ayenbouyt; whateuer thing is halewid onys, it schal be hooli of the noumbre of hooli thingis to the Lord,
Ngoài ra, những vật khác đã được hiến dâng lên Chúa Hằng Hữu rồi, dù là người, thú vật, hay đất đai của gia đình, thì không được đem bán hay cho chuộc, vì các lễ vật ấy đã trở nên rất thánh đối với Chúa Hằng Hữu.
29 and ech halewyng which is offrid of man, schal not be ayenbouyt, but it schal die bi deeth.
Không ai được hiến dâng, hoặc chuộc lại một người can tội tử hình.
30 Alle the tithis of erthe, whether of fruytis, whether of applis of trees, ben the Lordis part, and ben halewid to hym;
Tất cả một phần mười thổ sản, dù là ngũ cốc hay hoa quả, đều thuộc về Chúa Hằng Hữu, và là vật thánh.
31 sotheli if ony man wole ayenbie hise tithis, he schal adde the fyuethe part of tho; of alle tithis,
Nếu ai muốn chuộc phần ngũ cốc hay hoa quả này, phải trả thêm một phần năm giá trị của nó.
32 of scheep, and of oxen, and of geet, that passen vndur the `yerde of scheepherde, whateuer thing cometh to the tenthe part, it schal be halewid to the Lord;
Đối với thú vật, dù là bò hay chiên, cứ dùng gậy mà đếm, mỗi con thứ mười đều thuộc về Chúa Hằng Hữu.
33 it schal not be chosun, nether good, nether yuel; nethir it schal be chaungid for another; if ony man chaungith, bothe that, that is chaungid, and that, for which it is chaungid, schal be halewid to the Lord, and it schal not be ayenbouyt.
Không ai được xét xem các con thứ mười xấu hay tốt, cũng không được đổi các con ấy. Nếu đổi, cả con đổi lẫn con bị đổi đều xem như thánh và thuộc về Chúa Hằng Hữu. Cũng không ai được chuộc các thú vật này.”
34 These ben the comaundementis whiche the Lord comaundide to Moises, and to the sones of Israel, in the hil of Synay.
Trên đây là các mệnh lệnh Chúa Hằng Hữu ban bố cho Môi-se tại Núi Si-nai để truyền lại cho người Ít-ra-ên.
