Leviticus 25
1 And the Lord spak to Moises in the hil of Synai,
Habló Yahvé a Moisés en el monte Sinaí y dijo:
2 and seide, Speke thou to the sones of Israel, and thou schalt seye to hem, Whanne ye han entrid in to the lond which Y schal yyue to you, `the erthe kepe the sabat of the Lord;
“Habla a los hijos de Israel y diles: Después de vuestra entrada en el país que Yo os daré, descansará también la tierra su sábado en honor de Yahvé.
3 sixe yeeris thou schalt sowe thi feeld, and sixe yeeris thou schalt kitte thi vyner, and thou schalt gadere the fruytis ther of;
Seis años sembrarás tu campo, y seis años podarás tu viña y recogerás sus frutos;
4 forsothe in the seuenthe yeer schal be sabat of the erthe of the restyng of the Lord;
pero el séptimo año será para la tierra un sábado de absoluto descanso, un sábado en honor de Yahvé: No sembrarás tu campo, ni podarás tu viña.
5 thou schalt not sowe the feeld, and thou schalt not kitte the vyner, thou schalt not repe tho thingis whiche the erthe bryngith forth `bi fre wille, and thou schalt not gadere the grapis of thi firste fruytis, as vyndage; for it is the yeer of restyng of the lond; but tho schulen be to you in to mete,
No segarás lo que de suyo naciere de tu siega (anterior), ni recogerás las uvas de tu viña sin podar. Año de descanso absoluto será para la tierra.
6 to thee, and to thi seruaunt, to thin handmaide, and to thin hirid man, and to the comelyng which is a pilgrym at thee; alle thingis that `comen forth,
Lo que la tierra diere durante el descanso os servirá de alimento a ti, a tu siervo, a tu sierva, a tu jornalero y al extranjero que mora contigo.
7 schulen yyue mete to thi werk beestis and smale beestis.
También a tus ganados y a los animales de tu tierra, servirán de alimento todos sus frutos.
8 Also thou schalt noumbre to thee seuene woukis of yeeris, that is, seuene sithes seuene, whiche togidere maken nyn and fourti yeer;
Contarás siete semanas de años, siete veces siete años; de modo que el tiempo de las siete semanas de años vendrá a sumar cuarenta y nueve años.
9 and thou schalt sowne with a clarioun in the seuenthe monethe, in the tenthe dai of the monethe, in the tyme of propiciacioun, `that is, merci, in al youre lond.
Entonces, en el mes séptimo, el diez del mes, harás resonar la trompeta sonora; en el día de la Expiación haréis resonar la trompeta por toda vuestra tierra.
10 And thou schalt halewe the fiftithe yeer, and thou schalt clepe remissioun to alle the dwellers of thi lond; for thilke yeer is iubilee; a man schal turne ayen to hys possessioun, and ech man schal go ayen to the firste meynee,
Santificaréis el año quincuagésimo, y proclamaréis en el país libertad para todos sus habitantes. Será para vosotros un jubileo; cada uno recobrará su propiedad, y cada cual regresará a su familia.
11 for it is iubilee, and the fiftithe yeer. Ye schulen not sowe, nether ye schulen repe thingis, that comen forth freli in the feeld, and ye schulen not gadere the firste fruytis of vyndage, for the halewyng of iubilee;
Un jubileo os será el año quincuagésimo; no sembraréis, ni segaréis lo que de suyo naciere de ella, ni vendimiaréis la viña, que ha quedado sin podar;
12 but anoon ye schulen ete thingis takun awey;
porque es el jubileo, que os será santo. Comeréis el producto espontáneo del campo.
13 in the yeer of iubilee alle men go ayen to her possessiouns.
En este año jubilar volveréis cada cual a vuestra propiedad.
14 Whanne thou schalt sille ony thing to thi citeseyn, ether schalt bie of hym, make thou not sory thi brother, but bi the noumbre of `yeeris of iubile thou schalt bie of him,
Si vendiereis algo a vuestro conciudadano o le comprareis alguna cosa, mirad que nadie perjudique a su hermano.
15 and bi the rekenyng of fruytis he schal sille to thee.
Conforme al número de los años transcurridos después del jubileo lo comprarás a tu conciudadano, y conforme al número de los años de cosecha él te lo ha de vender.
16 Bi as myche as mo yeeris dwellen after the iubilee, by so myche also the prijs schal encreesse, and bi as myche as thou noumbrist lesse of tyme, bi so myche and the biyng schal cost lesse; for he schal sille to thee the time of fruytis.
Cuanto más numerosos sean los años, tanto más cobrarás; y cuanto menos años queden, tanto más lo bajarás, porque el número de cosechas es lo que él te vende.
17 Nyle ye turment men of youre lynagis, but ech man drede his God; for Y am youre Lord God.
Nadie oprima a su prójimo, antes bien teme a tu Dios; pues Yo soy Yahvé, vuestro Dios.
18 Do ye my comaundementis, and kepe ye my domes, and fille ye tho, that ye moun dwelle in his lond without ony drede,
Guardad mis mandamientos y observad mis preceptos y cumplidlos; así viviréis seguros en la tierra;
19 and that the erthe brynge forth hise fruytis to you, whiche ye schulen ete `til to fulnesse, and drede not the assailyng of ony man.
y la tierra dará su fruto, y comeréis hasta saciaros; y habitaréis tranquilamente en ella.
20 That if ye seien, what schulen we ete in the seuenthe yeer, if we sowen not, nether gaderen oure fruytis?
Y si preguntáis: ¿Qué comeremos el año séptimo, puesto que no sembraremos ni recogeremos nuestros productos?
21 Y schal yyue my blessyng to you in the sixte yeer, and it schal make fruytis of three yeer;
(Sabed que) Yo os mandaré mi bendición en el año sexto, de modo que (la tierra) producirá frutos para tres años;
22 and ye schulen sowe in the eiyte yeer, and ye schulen ete elde fruytis `til to the nynthe yeer; til newe thingis comen forth ye schulen ete the elde thingis.
sembraréis el año octavo, y seguiréis comiendo de la cosecha añeja hasta el año noveno. Hasta que venga su cosecha seguiréis comiendo de lo añejo.
23 Also the lond schal not be seeld `in to with outen ende, for it is myn, and ye ben my comelyngis and tenauntis;
El suelo no puede venderse a perpetuidad, pues mía es la tierra, puesto que vosotros sois para mí como extranjeros y peregrinos.
24 wherfor al the cuntre of youre possessioun schal be seeld vndur the condicioun of ayenbiyng.
En todo el país de vuestra posesión concederéis derecho de rescatar la tierra.
25 If thi brother is maad pore, and sillith his litil possessioun, and his nyy kynesman wole, he may ayenbie that that he seelde;
Si se empobreceré tu hermano y vendiere algo de su posesión, vendrá su rescatador, el pariente suyo más cercano, y rescatará lo vendido por su hermano.
26 sotheli if he hath no nyy kynesman, and he may fynde prijs to ayenbie,
Si uno no teniendo rescatador adquiriere él mismo medios y hallare lo suficiente para rescatarlo,
27 the fruytis schulen be rekynyd fro that tyme in which he seelde, and he schal yelde `that that is residue to the biere, and he schal resseyue so his possessioun.
haga el cómputo de los años transcurridos después de la venta y pague al comprador la suma restante; así recobrará su posesión.
28 That if his hond fynde not, that he yelde the prijs, the biere schal haue that that he bouyte, `til to the yeer of iubilee; for in that yeer ech sillyng schal go ayen to the lord, and to the firste weldere.
Pero si no hallare lo suficiente para recobrarla, lo vendido quedará en poder del comprador hasta el año jubilar; y en el jubileo será libre, y (el vendedor) la recobrará de nuevo.
29 He that sillith his hows, with ynne the wallis of a citee, schal haue licence to ayenbie til o yeer be fillid;
Si uno vendiere una casa de habitación en ciudad amurallada, durará su derecho de rescatarla hasta cumplirse el año de su venta. Un año entero durará su derecho de rescate.
30 if he ayenbieth not, and the sercle of the yeer is passid, the biere schal welde it, and his eiris `in to with outen ende, and it schal not mow be ayenbouyt, ye, in the iubilee.
En caso de no ser rescatada dentro de un año entero, la casa situada en ciudad amurallada quedará para siempre al comprador y a sus descendientes. No saldrá de su poder en el jubileo.
31 Forsothe if the hows is in a town `that hath not wallis, it schal be seeld bi the lawe of feeldis; sotheli if it is not ayenbouyt in the iubilee, it schal turne ayen to `his lord.
Mas las casas de las aldeas no amuralladas serán tratadas como los campos del país: pueden rescatarse, y en el año jubilar quedan libres.
32 The howsis of dekenes, that ben in citees, moun euer be ayenbouyt; if tho ben not ayenbouyt,
En cuanto a las ciudades de los levitas, podrán siempre rescatar las casas de las ciudades de su posesión.
33 tho schulen turne ayen in the iubilee `to the lordis; for the `howsis of the citees of dekenes ben for possessiouns among the sones of Israel;
Si uno compra una casa de los levitas, la casa vendida, en la ciudad de su posesión, saldrá libre en el jubileo: porque las casas de las ciudades de los levitas son su posesión en medio de los hijos de Israel.
34 forsothe the suburbabis of hem schulen not be seeld, for it is euerlastynge possessioun.
Tampoco pueden venderse los campos en torno a las ciudades de ellos, pues son posesión de ellos a perpetuidad.
35 If thi brother is maad pore, and feble in power, and thou resseyuest hym as a comelyng and pilgrym, and he lyueth with thee,
Si tu hermano empobreciere y se apoya sobre ti, lo sostendrás, sea extranjero o advenedizo, para que pueda vivir junto a ti.
36 take thou not vsuris of hym, nether more than thou hast youe; drede thou thi God, that thi brothir mai lyue anentis thee.
No tomarás de él interés ni usura, antes bien teme a tu Dios y deja vivir a tu hermano junto a ti.
37 Thou schalt not yyue to hym thi money to vsure, and thou schalt not axe ouer `aboundaunce, ether encrees ouer of fruytis;
No le cobrarás interés por tu dinero ni le darás tus víveres a usura.
38 Y am youre Lord God, that ladde you out of the lond of Egipt, that Y schulde yyue to you the lond of Canaan, and that Y schulde be youre God.
Yo Soy Yahvé, vuestro Dios, que os saqué de la tierra de Egipto para daros la tierra de Canaán, a fin de ser vuestro Dios.
39 If thi brother compellid bi pouert sillith hym silf to thee, thou schalt not oppresse hym bi seruage of seruauntis,
Si empobreciere tu hermano a tu lado y se te vendiere, no le impondrás trabajos de esclavo;
40 but he schal be as an hirid man and tenaunt; `til to the yeer of iubilee he schal worche at thee,
estará contigo como jornalero y como advenedizo, te servirá hasta el año del jubileo.
41 and aftirward he schal go out with his fre children, and he schal turne ayen to the kynrede, and to `the possessioun of his fadris.
Entonces saldrá libre de tu casa, él y sus hijos juntamente con él, y volverá a su familia y a la posesión de sus padres.
42 For thei ben my seruauntis, and Y ledde hem out of the lond of Egipt; thei schulen not be seeld bi the condicioun of seruauntis;
Porque son mis siervos, a quienes Yo saqué de la tierra de Egipto; no han de ser vendidos como esclavos.
43 turmente thou not hem bi thi power, but drede thou thi Lord.
No le dominarás con dureza, sino que tendrás temor a tu Dios.
44 A seruaunt and handmaide be to you of naciouns that ben in youre cumpas,
Los siervos y las siervas que necesites serán de las naciones que os rodean; de ellos podréis adquirir siervos y siervas.
45 and of comelyngis that ben pilgrimys at you, ether thei that ben borun of hem in youre lond; ye schulen haue these seruauntis,
También de los hijos de los advenedizos que moran en medio de vosotros podréis comprarlos, y de sus familias residentes entre vosotros, es decir, de los nacidos en vuestra tierra. Esos serán vuestra propiedad.
46 and bi riyt of eritage ye schulen `sende ouer to aftir comeris, and ye schulen welde with outen ende; sothely oppresse ye not bi power youre britheren, the sones of Israel.
Los dejaréis en herencia a vuestros hijos después de vosotros como posesión hereditaria. A los tales podréis tener por siervos a perpetuidad. Pero si se trata de vuestros hermanos, los hijos de Israel, ninguno de vosotros domine a su hermano con dureza.
47 If the hond of a comelyng and of a pilgrim wexith strong at you, and thi brother is maad pore, and sillith hym silf to hym,
Si el extranjero o advenedizo que mora contigo, adquiriere riquezas, y si junto a él tu hermano empobreciere y se vendiere al extranjero que mora contigo, o a algún descendiente de la familia del extranjero;
48 ether to ony of his kyn, he may be ayenbouyt aftir the sillyng; he that wole of hise britheren, ayenbie hym; bothe `the brother of fadir,
después de haberse vendido le quedará el derecho al rescate: uno de sus hermanos podrá rescatarlo.
49 and the sone of `the fadris brother, and kynesman, and alye. Ellis if also he schal mow, he schal ayenbie hym silf,
Lo rescatará su tío, o el hijo de su tío; o algún pariente cercano suyo dentro de su parentela podrá rescatarlo, o si alcanzare los medios, él mismo podrá rescatarse.
50 while the yeeris ben rykenid oneli fro the tyme of his sillyng `til in to the yeer of iubylee; and while the money, for which he was seeld, is rikenyd bi the noumbre of yeeris, and while the hire of an hirid man is rikenyd.
Hará el cómputo con aquel que le compró, desde el año de su venta hasta el año del jubileo; el precio de su venta será según el número de años, los días (de su trabajo) le serán computados como los de un jornalero.
51 If mo yeeris ben that dwellen `til to the iubilee, bi these yeeris he schal yelde also the prijs; if fewe yeeris ben,
Si faltan todavía muchos años, pagará en proporción de ellos el precio de su rescate, descontándolo del precio con que fue comprado.
52 he schal sette rikenyng with hym bi the noumbre of yeeris;
Y si faltan pocos años hasta el año del jubileo, hará el mismo cómputo; en proporción de los años pagará el precio de su rescate.
53 and he schal yeelde to the biere that that is residue of yeeris, while tho yeeris, bi whiche he seruyde bifore, ben rikenyd for hiris; he schal not turmente `that Ebreu violentli in thi siyt.
Como quien trabaja a jornal año por año, así estará con él; no permitas que le trate con dureza ante tus ojos.
54 That if he may not be ayenbouyt bi this, he schal go out with his free children in the `yeer of iubilee; for the sones of Israel ben myn seruauntis,
Si no fuere rescatado por otros, quedará libre el año del jubileo, él y sus hijos juntamente con él.
55 whiche Y ledde out of the lond of Egipt.
Porque siervos míos son los hijos de Israel; siervos míos son, a quienes Yo he sacado del país de Egipto. Yo soy Yahvé, vuestro Dios.”
