Leviticus 24
1 And the Lord spak to Moises, and seide, Comaunde thou to the sones of Israel,
El Señor le dijo a Moisés,
2 that thei brynge to thee oile of olyues, pureste oile, and briyt, to the lanternes to be ordeyned contynueli with out the veil of witnessyng,
“Ordena a los israelitas que te traigan aceite de oliva puro y prensado para las lámparas, para que siempre estén encendidas.
3 in the tabernacle of boond of pees; and Aaron schal araye tho lanternes fro euentid `til to euentid bifor the Lord, bi religioun and custom euerlastynge in youre generaciouns;
Desde la tarde hasta la mañana Aarón debe cuidar las lámparas continuamente ante el Señor, fuera del velo del Testimonio en el Tabernáculo de Reunión. Esta regulación es para todos los tiempos y para todas las generaciones futuras.
4 tho schulen be set euere on a clenneste candilstike in the siyt of the Lord.
Debe cuidar constantemente las lámparas puestas en el candelabro de oro puro ante el Señor.
5 Also thou schalt take wheete flour, and thou schalt bake therof twelue looues, which schulen haue ech bi hem silf twei tenthe partis,
“Usando la mejor harina hornea doce panes, con dos décimas de un efa de harina por cada pan.
6 of whiche thou schalt sette sexe on euer eithir side, on a clenneste boord bifor the Lord;
Colócalos en dos pilas, seis en cada pila, sobre la mesa de oro puro que está delante del Señor.
7 and thou schalt sette clereste encense on tho looues, that the looues be in to mynde of offryng of the Lord;
Poner incienso puro al lado de cada pila para que vaya con el pan y sirva de recordatorio, una ofrenda al Señor.
8 bi ech sabat tho schulen be chaungid bifor the Lord, and schulen be takun of the sones of Israel bi euerlastynge boond of pees;
Cada sábado se pondrá el pan delante del Señor, dado por los israelitas como una señal continua del acuerdo eterno.
9 and tho schulen be Aarons and hise sones, that thei ete tho in the hooli place, for it is hooli of the noumbre of hooli thingis, of the sacrifices of the Lord, bi euerlastynge lawe.
Es para Aarón y sus descendientes. Deben comerlo en un lugar santo, pues deben tratarlo como una parte santísima de las ofrendas de alimentos dadas al Señor. Es su parte de las ofrendas de comida para siempre”.
10 Lo! forsothe the sone of a womman of Israel, whom sche childide of a man Egipcian, yede out among the sones of Israel, and chidde in the castels with a man of Israel,
Un día un hombre que tenía una madre israelita y un padre egipcio entró en el campamento israelita y tuvo una pelea con un israelita.
11 and whanne he hadde blasfemyd the name of the Lord, and hadde cursid the Lord, he was brouyt to Moises; forsothe his modir was clepid Salumyth, the douytir of Dabry, of the lynage of Dan;
El hijo de la mujer israelita maldijo el nombre del Señor. Así que lo llevaron ante Moisés. (Su madre se llamaba Selomit, hija de Dibri, de la tribu de Dan).
12 and thei senten hym to prisoun, til thei wisten what the Lord comaundide.
Lo detuvieron hasta que quedó claro lo que el Señor quería que hicieran al respecto.
13 And the Lord spak to Moises and seide,
El Señor le dijo a Moisés,
14 Lede out the blasfemere without the castels, and alle men that herden, sette her hondis on his heed, and al the puple stone hym.
“Lleva al hombre que me maldijo fuera del campamento. Que todos los que le oyeron maldecir pongan sus manos sobre su cabeza; y que todos le apedreen hasta la muerte.
15 And thou schalt speke to the sones of Israel, A man that cursith his God,
Diles a los israelitas que cualquiera que maldiga a su Dios será castigado por su pecado.
16 schal bere his synne, and he that blasfemeth the name of the Lord, die bi deeth; al the multitude of the puple schal oppresse hym with stoonus, whether he that blasfemede the name of the Lord is a citeseyn, whether a pilgrym, die he bi deeth.
Cualquiera que maldiga el nombre del Señor debe ser ejecutado. Todos ustedeslo apedrearán hasta la muerte, tanto si es un extranjero que vive con ustedes como si es un israelita. Si maldicen mi nombre, deben ser ejecutados.
17 He that smytith and sleeth a man, die bi deeth;
“Cualquiera que mate a alguien más debe ser ejecutado.
18 he that smytith a beeste, yelde oon in his stide, that is, lijf for lijf.
Cualquiera que mate a un animal tiene que reemplazarlo. Una vida por otra.
19 If a man yyueth a wem to ony of hise citeseyns, as he dide, so be it don to him;
Si alguien hiere a otra persona, lo que haya hecho debe serle hecho:
20 he schal restore brekyng for brekyng, iye for iye, tooth for tooth; what maner wem he yaf, he schal be compellid to suffre sich a wem.
un hueso roto por un hueso roto, ojo por ojo, diente por diente. Sea cual sea la forma en que hayan herido a la víctima, se les debe hacer lo mismo.
21 He that smytith werk beeste, yeelde another; he that smytith a man, schal be punyschid.
Cualquiera que mate un animal tiene que reemplazarlo, pero cualquiera que mate a alguien más debe ser ejecutado.
22 Euene doom be among you, whether a pilgrym ethir a citeseyn synneth, for Y am youre Lord God.
A los extranjeros que viven con ustedes se les aplican las mismas leyes que a los israelitas, porque yo soy el Señor su Dios”.
23 And Moyses spak to the sones of Israel, and thei brouyten forth out of the castels hym that blasfemede, and oppressiden with stoonus. And the sones of Israel diden, as the Lord comaundide to Moyses.
Moisés dijo esto a los israelitas, y ellos llevaron al hombre que maldijo al Señor fuera del campamento y lo apedrearon hasta la muerte. Los israelitas hicieron lo que el Señor le ordenó a Moisés que hiciera.
