Leviticus 19
1 The Lord spak to Moises, and seide,
Gospod je spregovoril Mojzesu, rekoč:
2 Speke thou to al the cumpenye of the sones of Israel, and thou schalt seie to hem, Be ye hooli, for Y am hooli, youre Lord God.
»Spregovori vsej skupnosti Izraelovih otrok in jim reci: ›Vi bodite sveti, kajti jaz, Gospod, vaš Bog, sem svet.
3 Ech man drede his fadir and his modir. Kepe ye my sabatis; Y am youre Lord God.
Bojte se vsak mož svoje matere in svojega očeta in se držite mojih šabat. Jaz sem Gospod, vaš Bog.
4 Nyle ye be turned to ydols, nether ye schulen make to you yotun goddis; Y am youre Lord God.
Ne obračajte se k malikom niti si ne delajte ulitih bogov. Jaz sem Gospod, vaš Bog.
5 If ye offren a sacrifice of pesible thingis to the Lord, that it be quemeful,
Če darujete žrtvovanje mirovnih daritev Gospodu, jo darujte po lastni volji.
6 ye schulen ete it in that day, in which it is offrid, and in the tother dai; sotheli what euer thing is residue in to the thridde dai, ye schulen brenne in fier.
Jejte jo isti dan, kot jo darujete in naslednji dan. Če pa kaj ostane do tretjega dne, naj bo to sežgano v ognju.
7 If ony man etith therof aftir twei daes, he schal be vnhooli, and gilti of vnfeithfulnes `ether wickidnesse; and he schal bere his wickidnesse,
Če bo karkoli pojedeno na tretji dan, je to gnusno; to ne bo sprejeto.
8 for he defoulide the hooli thing of the Lord, and his soule schal perische fro his puple.
Zatorej bo vsakdo, ki to jé, nosil svojo krivičnost, ker je oskrunil posvečeno Gospodovo stvar in ta duša bo iztrebljena izmed svojega ljudstva.
9 Whanne thou schalt repe the fruytis of thi lond, thou schalt not kitte `til to the ground the corn of the lond, nether thou schalt gadere the eeris of corn that ben left;
Ko žanješ žetev svoje dežele, ne požanji v celoti vogalov svojega polja niti ne zbiraj paberkovanja svoje žetve.
10 nethir in thi vyner thou schalt gadere reysyns and greynes fallynge doun, but thou schalt leeue to be gaderid of pore men and pilgryms; Y am youre Lord God.
Svojega vinograda [po trgatvi] ne boš paberkoval niti ne obiraj vsakega grozda svojega vinograda. Pusti jih za revnega in tujca. Jaz sem Gospod, vaš Bog.
11 Ye schulen not do thefte. Ye schulen not lye, and no man disseyue his neiybour.
Ne kradite, niti ne ravnajte napačno, niti ne lažite drug drugemu.
12 Thou schalt not forswere in my name, nethir thou schalt defoule the name of thi God; Y am the Lord.
Pri mojem imenu ne prisegajte lažnivo niti ne skrunite imena svojega Boga. Jaz sem Gospod.
13 Thou schalt not make fals chalenge to thi neiybore, nethir thou schalt oppresse hym bi violence. The werk of thin hirid man schal not dwelle at thee til the morewtid.
Svojega soseda ne goljufaj niti ga ne ropaj. Plačila tistega, ki je najet, naj ne ostanejo s teboj vso noč do jutra.
14 Thou schalt not curse a deef man, nether thou schalt sette an hurtyng bifor a blynd man; but thou schalt drede thi Lord God, for Y am the Lord.
Ne preklinjaj gluhega niti ne polagaj kamna spotike pred slepega, temveč se boj svojega Boga. Jaz sem Gospod.
15 Thou schalt not do that, that is wickid, nether thou schalt deme vniustli; biholde thou not the persoone of a pore man, nethir onoure thou the face of a myyti man; deme thou iustli to thi neiybore.
Na sodbi ne stori nobene nepravičnosti. Ne spoštuj revne osebe niti ne časti mogočne osebe, temveč svojega bližnjega sodi v pravičnosti.
16 Thou schalt not be a sclaunderere, nether a priuey bacbitere in the puplis; thou schalt not stonde ayens the blood of thi neiybore; Y am the Lord.
Ne hodi gor in dol med svojim ljudstvom kakor tožljivec niti ne stoj zoper kri svojega bližnjega. Jaz sem Gospod.
17 Thou schalt not hate thi brothir in thin herte, but repreue hym opynly, lest thou haue synne on hym.
V svojem srcu ne sovraži svojega brata. Vsekakor pograjaj svojega bližnjega in ne trpi greha na njem.
18 Thou schalt not seke veniaunce, nether thou schalt be myndeful of the wrong of thi cyteseyns; thou schalt loue thi freend as thi silf; Y am the Lord.
Ne maščuj se niti ne goji nobene zamere zoper otroke svojega ljudstva, temveč ljubi svojega bližnjega kakor samega sebe. Jaz sem Gospod.
19 Kepe ye my lawis. Thou schalt not make thi beestis to gendre with the lyuynge beestis of another kynde. Thou schalt not sowe the feeld with dyuerse sede. Thou schalt not be clothid in a cloth, which is wouun of twei thingis.
Držite se mojih zakonov. Svoji živini ne dovoli, da se pari z različno vrsto. Svoje polje ne posej s pomešanim semenom niti naj nate ne pride obleka [hkrati] stkana iz lanu in volne.
20 If a man slepith with a womman by fleischly knowyng of seed, which womman is an `hand maide, ye, a noble womman of kyn, and netheles is not ayenbouyt bi prijs, nethir rewardid with fredom, bothe schulen be betun, and thei schulen not die, for sche was not fre.
Kdorkoli meseno leži z žensko, ki je sužnjica, zaročena k soprogu in sploh ni odkupljena niti ji ni dana svoboda; ona naj bo bičana. Ne bosta usmrčena, ker ona ni bila svobodna.
21 Sotheli the man for his trespas schal offre a ram to the Lord, at the dore of the tabernacle of witnessyng;
On bo k vratom šotorskega svetišča skupnosti privedel svojo daritev za prestopek Gospodu, namreč ovna za daritev za prestopek.
22 and the preest schal preye for hym, and for his trespas, bifor the Lord; and the Lord schal be merciful to hym, and the synne schal be foryouun.
Duhovnik naj zanj pred Gospodom za njegov greh opravi spravo z ovnom daritve za prestopek, ki ga je storil, in greh, ki ga je storil, mu bo odpuščen.
23 Whanne ye han entrid in to the lond of biheest, and han plauntid therynne appil trees, ye schulen do awei the firste flouris; the applis whiche tho trees bryngen forth, schulen be vncleene to you, nethir ye schulen ete of tho.
Ko boste prišli v deželo in boste za hrano sadili vse vrste dreves, potem štejte njihov sad kot neobrezan. Tri leta vam bo ta kot neobrezan, ta naj ne bo pojeden.
24 Forsothe in the fourthe yeer al the fruyt of tho trees schal be `halewid preiseful to the Lord;
Toda v četrtem letu bo vse njegovo sadje sveto, da s tem hvali Gospoda.
25 forsothe in the fifthe yeer ye schulen ete fruytis, and schulen gadere applis, whiche tho trees bryngen forth; Y am youre Lord God.
V petem letu boste jedli od njegovega sadja, da vam bo lahko obrodil svoj donos. Jaz sem Gospod, vaš Bog.
26 Ye schulen not ete fleisch with blood. Ye schulen not make veyn diuynyng, nether ye schulen kepe dremes;
Nobene stvari ne jejte s krvjo niti ne izrekajte uroka niti ne obeležujte časov.
27 nether ye schulen clippe the heer in round, nether ye schulen schaue the beerd;
Ne zaoblite robov svojih glav niti ne kazite robov svoje brade.
28 and on deed men ye schulen not kitte youre fleischis, nether ye schulen make to you ony fyguris, ether markis in youre fleisch; Y am the Lord.
Na svojem mesu ne boste delali nobenih urezov za mrtve niti si nase ne vtisnite nobenih znamenj. Jaz sem Gospod.
29 Sette thou not thi douytir to do leccherie for hire, and the lond be defoulid, and be fillid with synne.
Ne onečasti svoje hčere, da ji ne povzročiš, da postane vlačuga, da ne bi dežela padla v vlačugarstvo in bi dežela postala polna zlobnosti.
30 Kepe ye my sabatis, and drede ye my seyntuarie; Y `am the Lord.
Držite se mojih šabat in spoštujte moje svetišče. Jaz sem Gospod.
31 Bowe ye not to astronomyers, nether axe ye ony thing of fals dyuynours, that ye be defoulid bi hem; Y am youre Lord God.
Ne obračajte se k tem, ki imajo osebne duhove niti ne povprašujte za čarovniki, da vas ne omadežujejo. Jaz sem Gospod, vaš Bog.
32 Rise thou bifor an hoor heed, and onoure thou the persoone of an eld man, and drede thou thi Lord God; Y am the Lord.
Pred osivelo glavo vstani in spoštuj obraz starca in se boj svojega Boga. Jaz sem Gospod.
33 If a comelyng enhabitith in youre lond, and dwellith among you, dispise ye not hym,
Če tujec začasno prebiva s teboj v tvoji deželi, ga ne zatiraj.
34 but be he among you as a man borun in the lond; and ye schulen loue hym as you silf, for also ye weren comelyngis in the lond of Egipt; Y am youre Lord God.
Temveč naj ti bo tujec, ki prebiva s teboj, kakor nekdo rojen med vami in ljubi ga kakor samega sebe, kajti bili ste tujci v egiptovski deželi. Jaz sem Gospod, vaš Bog.
35 Nyle ye do ony wickid thing in doom, in reule, in weiyte, and in mesure; the balance be iust,
Nobene nepravičnosti ne delajte pri sodbi, merilni palici, teži ali meri.
36 and the weiytis be euene, the buschel be iust, and the sextarie be euene; Y am youre Lord God, that ladde you out of the lond of Egipt.
Imejte pravične tehtnice, pravične uteži, pravičen škaf in pravičen vrč. Jaz sem Gospod, vaš Bog, ki sem vas privedel iz egiptovske dežele.
37 Kepe ye alle myn heestis, and alle domes, and do ye tho; Y am the Lord.
Zato upoštevajte vse moje zakone in vse moje sodbe ter jih izvršujte. Jaz sem Gospod.‹«
