Leviticus 16
1 And the Lord spak to Moises, aftir the deeth of the twei sones of Aaron, whanne thei offriden alien fier, and weren slayn, and comaundide to hym,
Und der Herr redete mit Mose nach dem Tod der beiden Söhne Aarons, als sie vor den HERRN traten.
2 and seide, Speke thou to Aaron, thi brother, that he entre not in al tyme in to the seyntuarie, which is with ynne the veil bifor the propiciatorie, bi which the arke is hilid, that he die not; for Y schal appere in a cloude on Goddis answeryng place;
Und der HERR sprach zu Mose: Sage deinem Bruder Aaron, daß er nicht zu allen Zeiten in das Heiligtum hineingehe hinter den Vorhang vor den Sühndeckel, der auf der Lade ist, damit er nicht sterbe; denn ich will auf dem Sühndeckel in einer Wolke erscheinen.
3 `no but he do these thingis bifore. He schal offer a calf for synne, and a ram in to brent sacrifice;
Damit soll Aaron hineingehen in das Heiligtum: mit einem jungen Farren zum Sündopfer und mit einem Widder zum Brandopfer;
4 he schal be clothid with a lynnun coote, he schal hide the schamefast membris with pryuy lynnun clothis; he schal be gird with a lynnun girdil, he schal putte a lynnun mytre on his heed; for these clothis ben hooli, with whiche alle he schal be clothid, whanne he is waischun.
und er soll den heiligen leinenen Leibrock anziehen und soll ein leinenes Unterkleid an seinem Leibe haben und sich mit einem leinenen Gürtel gürten und einen leinenen Kopfbund umbinden (denn das sind die heiligen Kleider) und soll seinen Leib mit Wasser baden und sie anziehen.
5 And he schal take of al the multitude of the sones of Israel twei kidis for synne, and o ram in to brent sacrifice;
Dann soll er von der Gemeinde der Kinder Israel zwei Ziegenböcke nehmen zum Sündopfer und einen Widder zum Brandopfer.
6 and whanne he offrith a calf, and preieth for hym,
Und Aaron soll den Farren zum Sündopfer für sich selbst herzubringen und sich und seinem Haus Sühne erwirken.
7 and for his hows, he schal make twei `buckis of geet to stonde bifor the Lord, in the dore of the tabernacle of witnessyng;
Darnach soll er die beiden Böcke nehmen und sie vor den HERRN stellen, vor die Tür der Stiftshütte,
8 and he schal sende `on euer eithir, o lot to the Lord, and another lot to the goot that schal be sent out.
und soll das Los werfen über die beiden Böcke, ein Los für den HERRN und ein Los für den Asasel.
9 Whos lot goith out to the Lord, he schal offre it for synne;
Und Aaron soll den Bock, auf welchen des HERRN Los fällt, zum Sündopfer machen.
10 sotheli whos lot goith out in to goot that schal be sent out, he schal sette hym quyk bifor the Lord, that he sende preyers `on hym, and sende hym out in to wildirnesse.
Aber den Bock, auf welchen das Los Asasels fällt, soll er lebendig vor den HERRN stellen, daß er über ihm die Sühne vollziehe und ihn zum Asasel in die Wüste jage.
11 Whanne these thingis ben doon riytfuli, he schal offre the calf, and `he schal preye for hym silf, and for his hows, and schal offre the calf.
Und Aaron soll den Farren des Sündopfers, das für ihn selbst bestimmt ist, herzubringen und sich und seinem Haus Sühne erwirken und soll den Farren schächten zum Sündopfer für sich selbst.
12 And whanne he hath take the censeer, which he hath fillid of the coolis of the auter, and `he hath take in hond the `swete smellynge spicery maad into encense, he schal entre ouer the veil in to the hooli thingis;
Darnach nehme er die Pfanne voll Glut vom Altar, der vor dem HERRN steht, und eine Handvoll wohlriechenden zerstoßenen Räucherwerks und bringe es hinein hinter den Vorhang;
13 that whanne swete smellynge spiceries ben put on the fier, the cloude and `vapour of tho hile Goddis answeryng place, which is on the witnessyng, and he die not.
und er tue das Räucherwerk auf das Feuer vor dem HERRN, damit die Wolke vom Räucherwerk den Sühndeckel, der auf dem Zeugnis ist, verhülle, damit er nicht sterbe.
14 Also he schal take of the `blood of the calf, and he schal sprenge seuensithis with the fyngur ayens `the propiciatorie, `to the eest.
Er soll auch von dem Blut des Farren nehmen und mit seinem Finger gegen den Sühndeckel sprengen, gegen Aufgang. Siebenmal soll er also vor dem Sühndeckel mit seinem Finger vom Blute sprengen.
15 And whanne he hath slayn the `buk of geet, for synne of the puple, he schal brynge in the blood therof with ynne the veil, as it is comaundid of the `blood of the calf, that he sprynge euene ayens Goddis answeryng place,
Darnach soll er den Bock, das Sündopfer des Volkes schächten und von dessen Blut hinein hinter den Vorhang bringen, und soll mit dessen Blute tun, wie er mit des Farren Blut getan hat, und auch damit sprengen auf den Sühndeckel und vor denselben.
16 and he schal clense the seyntuarie fro vnclennessis of the sones of Israel, and fro her trespassyngis, and alle synnes. Bi this custom he schal do in the tabernacle of witnessyng, which is set among hem, in the myddis of partis of the abitacioun `of hem.
Also soll er Sühne erwirken für das Heiligtum wegen der Unreinigkeiten der Kinder Israel und wegen ihrer Übertretungen und aller ihrer Sünden, und soll also tun mit der Stiftshütte, welche sich mitten unter ihren Unreinigkeiten befindet.
17 No man be in the tabernacle, whanne the bischop schal entre in to the seyntuarie, that he preye for hym silf, and for his hows, and for al the cumpeny of Israel, til he go out of the tabernacle.
Kein Mensch soll in der Stiftshütte sein, wenn er hineingeht, um im Heiligtum die Sühne zu vollziehen, bis er wieder hinausgeht und die Sühne erwirkt hat für sich und sein Haus und die ganze Gemeinde Israel.
18 Sotheli whanne he hath go out to the auter which is bifor the Lord, preye he for hym silf, and schede he on the hornes therof, bi cumpas, the blood `that is takun of the calf, and of the `buk of geet;
Und wenn er zum Altar herauskommt, der vor dem HERRN steht, so soll er von dem Blut des Farren und von dem Blut des Bocks nehmen und auf die Hörner des Altars tun, ringsum,
19 and sprynge he seuensithis with the fyngur, and clense he, and halewe the autir fro vnclennessis of the sones of Israel.
und soll mit seinem Finger vom Blut siebenmal darauf sprengen und ihn reinigen und von der Unreinigkeit der Kinder Israel heiligen.
20 Aftir that he hath clensid the seyntuarie, and tabernacle, and auter, thanne offre he the lyuynge `buc of geet;
Und wenn er die Sühne für das Heiligtum und die Stiftshütte und den Altar erwirkt hat, so soll er den lebendigen Bock herzu bringen,
21 and whanne euer eithir hond is set on the heed therof, knowleche the preest alle the wickidnessis of the sones of Israel, and alle the trespassis and synnes `of hem, whiche the preest schal wische to the heed therof, and schal sende hym out in to deseert bi a man maad redi.
und Aaron soll seine beiden Hände auf dieses lebendigen Bockes Kopf stützen und auf ihn alle Missetaten der Kinder Israel und alle ihre Übertretungen samt ihren Sünden bekennen, und soll sie dem Bock auf den Kopf legen und ihn durch einen Mann, der bereitsteht, in die Wüste jagen lassen;
22 And whanne the `buc of geet hath bore alle the wickidnessis `of hem in to a deseert lond,
daß also der Bock alle ihre Missetaten auf sich in eine Wildnis trage; und er soll ihn in der Wüste loslassen.
23 and is left `in deseert, Aaron schal turn ayen in to the tabernacle of witnessyng; and whanne the clothis ben put of, in whiche he was clothid bifore, whanne he entrid in to the seyntuarie of God, and ben left there,
Und Aaron soll in die Stiftshütte gehen und die leinenen Kleider ausziehen, die er anzog, als er in das Heiligtum ging, und soll sie daselbst lassen,
24 he schal waische his fleisch in the hooli place, and he schal be clothid in his owen clothis, and aftir that he hath go out, and hath offrid the brent sacrifice of hym silf, and of the puple, he schal preye as wel for hym silf, as for the puple;
und soll seinen Leib mit Wasser baden an heiliger Stätte und seine eigenen Kleider anziehen und hinausgehen und sein und des Volkes Brandopfer verrichten, und Sühnung tun für sich und das Volk.
25 and he schal brenne on the auter the innere fatnesse which is offrid for synne.
Und das Fett des Sündopfers soll er auf dem Altar verbrennen.
26 Sotheli he that leet go the `buk of geet able to be sent out, schal waische hise clothis and bodi with water, and so he schal entre in to the castels.
Der aber, welcher den Bock zum Asasel gejagt hat, soll seine Kleider waschen und seinen Leib mit Wasser baden und darnach in das Lager kommen.
27 Forsothe thei schulen bere out of the castels the calf and `buk of geet, that weren offrid for synne, and whos blood was brouyt in to the seyntuarie, that the clensyng were fillid; and thei schulen brenne bi fier as well the skynnys, as the fleischis and dung of tho.
Den Farren des Sündopfers aber und den Bock des Sündopfers, deren Blut zur Sühnung in das Heiligtum gebracht worden ist, soll man hinaus vor das Lager führen und mit Feuer verbrennen, ihre Haut und ihr Fleisch und ihren Mist.
28 And who euer brenneth tho, schal waische hise clothis and fleisch in watir, and so he schal entre in to the castels.
Und der sie verbrannt hat, soll seine Kleider waschen und seinen Leib mit Wasser baden und darnach in das Lager kommen.
29 And this schal be to you a lawful thing euerlastynge; in the seuenthe monethe, in the tenthe dai of the monethe, ye schulen turment youre soulis, and ye schulen not do ony werk, nethir a man borun in the lond, nether a comelyng which is a pilgrym among you.
Und das soll euch eine ewig gültige Ordnung sein: Am zehnten Tage des siebenten Monats sollt ihr eure Seelen demütigen und kein Werk tun, weder der Einheimische noch der Fremdling, der unter euch weilt.
30 The delyueryng fro synne, and the clensyng of you schal be in this dai, ye schulen be clensid bifore the Lord fro alle youre synnes;
Denn an diesem Tage wird für euch Sühne erwirkt, euch zu reinigen; von allen euren Sünden sollt ihr vor dem HERRN gereinigt werden.
31 for it is sabat of restyng, and ye schulen turment youre soulis bi euerlastynge religioun.
Darum soll es euch ein Ruhe-Sabbat sein, und ihr sollt eure Seelen demütigen. Das sei eine ewige Ordnung.
32 Sotheli the preest schal clense, which is anoyntid, and whos hondis ben halewid, that he be set in preesthod for his fadir; and he schal be clothid in a lynnun stoole, and in hooli clothis,
Diese Sühne soll ein Priester vollziehen, den man gesalbt und dessen Hand man gefüllt hat, daß er an seines Vaters Statt Priester sei; und er soll die leinenen Kleider anziehen, die heiligen Kleider,
33 and he schal clense the seyntuarie, and the tabernacle of witnessyng, and the auter, and the preestis, and al the puple.
und soll für das Heiligtum und die Stiftshütte und den Altar Sühne erwirken; auch den Priestern und der ganzen Volksgemeinde soll er Sühne schaffen.
34 And this schal be to you a lawful thing euerlastynge, that ye preye for the sones of Israel, and for alle the synnes `of hem, onys in the yeer. Therfor he dide, as the Lord comaundide to Moises.
Das soll euch zur ewigen Gewohnheit weden, daß ihr für die Kinder Israel Sühne erwirkt wegen allen ihren Sünden, einmal im Jahr. Und man tat, wie der HERR Mose geboten hatte.
