Leviticus 12

1 And the Lord spak to Moises, `and seide, Speke thou to the sones of Israel,

Bwana akamwambia Mose,

2 and thou schalt seie to hem, If a womman, whanne sche hath resseyued seed, childith a knaue child, sche schal be vnclene bi seuene daies bi the daies of departyng of corrupt blood, that renneth bi monethis;

“Waambie Waisraeli: ‘Mwanamke ambaye atapata mimba na kuzaa mtoto wa kiume atakuwa najisi kwa kawaida ya ibada kwa siku saba, kama anavyokuwa najisi wakati wa siku zake za hedhi.

3 and the yong child schal be circumsidid in the eiytithe dai.

Mvulana atatahiriwa siku ya nane.

4 Sotheli sche schal dwelle thre and thretti daies in the blood of hir purifiyng; sche schal not touche ony hooli thing, nethir sche schal entre in to the seyntuarie, til the daies of her clensing be fillid.

Kisha ni lazima huyo mwanamke asubiri kwa siku thelathini na tatu, ndipo atakaswe kutoka damu kwake. Hataruhusiwa kugusa kitu chochote kilicho kitakatifu au kuingia mahali patakatifu, mpaka siku za kutakaswa kwake zimetimia.

5 Sotheli if sche childith a female, sche schal be vnclene twei woukis, bi the custom of flowyng of vnclene blood, and `thre scoor and sixe daies sche schal dwelle in the blood of her clensyng.

Kama akimzaa mtoto wa kike, mwanamke huyo atakuwa najisi kwa majuma mawili, kama wakati wake wa hedhi. Kisha atasubiri kwa siku sitini na sita, ndipo atatakaswa kutoka damu kwake.

6 And whanne the daies of hir clensyng, for a sone, ether for a douytir, ben fillid, sche schal brynge a lomb of o yeer in to brent sacrifice, and a `bryd of a culuer, ethir a turtle, for synne, to the dore of the tabernacle of witnessyng;

“‘Siku zake za utakaso kwa ajili ya mwana au binti zitakapotimia, mwanamke huyo atamletea kuhani kwenye ingilio la Hema la Kukutania mwana-kondoo mwenye umri wa mwaka mmoja kwa ajili ya sadaka ya kuteketezwa, na kinda la njiwa au hua kwa ajili ya sadaka ya dhambi.

7 and sche schal yyue to the preest, which schal offre tho bifor the Lord, and schal preye for hir, and so sche schal be clensid fro the fowyng of hir blood. This is the lawe of a womman childynge a male, ethir a female.

Atavitoa mbele za Bwana ili kufanya upatanisho kwa ajili yake, na kisha atakuwa safi kwa desturi ya ibada kutokana na kutokwa damu kwake. “‘Haya ndiyo masharti kwa ajili ya mwanamke atakayezaa mtoto wa kiume au wa kike.

8 That if hir hond fyndith not, nethir may offre a lomb, sche schal take twei turtlis, ethir twei `briddis of culueres, oon in to brent sacrifice, and the tother for synne; and the preest schal preye for hir, and so sche schal be clensid.

Kama huyo mwanamke hana uwezo wa kumpata mwana-kondoo, ataleta hua wawili au makinda mawili ya njiwa, moja kwa ajili ya sadaka ya kuteketezwa na mwingine kwa ajili ya sadaka ya dhambi. Kwa njia hii, kuhani atafanya upatanisho kwa ajili yake, naye atakuwa safi.’”
