Leviticus 11
1 And the Lord spak to Moises and Aaron, and seide,
Y él Señor dijo a Moisés y a Aarón:
2 Seie ye to the sones of Israel, Kepe ye alle thingis whiche Y wroot to you, that Y be youre God. These ben the beestis, whiche ye schulen ete, of alle lyuynge beestis of erthe;
Di a los hijos de Israel: Estos son los seres vivos que pueden tener para comer entre todas las bestias de la tierra.
3 ye schulen ete `al thing among beestis that hath a clee departid, and chewith code;
Pueden tener como alimento a cualquier bestia que tenga pezuña partida, y rumiante cuya comida vuelva a su boca para ser aplastada nuevamente.
4 sotheli what euer thing chewith code, and hath a clee, but departith not it, as a camel and othere beestis doon, ye schulen not ete it, and ye schulen arette among vnclene thingis.
Pero, al mismo tiempo, de esas bestias, no pueden tomar el camello por comida, porque su comida regresa pero no tiene pezuña partida; es sucio para ustedes.
5 A cirogrille, which chewith code, and departith not the clee, is vnclene; and an hare,
Y el tejón de roca, por la misma razón, es impuro para ustedes.
6 for also he chewith code, but departith not the clee;
Y la liebre, porque no tiene pezuña, es impura para ustedes.
7 and a swiyn, that chewith not code, thouy he departith the clee.
Y el cerdo te es inmundo, porque aunque la pezuña de su pie está partido, pero no es rumiante.
8 Ye schulen not ete the fleischis of these, nether ye schulen touche the deed bodies, for tho ben vnclene to you.
Su carne no puede ser usada como alimento, y sus cuerpos muertos ni siquiera pueden ser tocados; son impuros para ustedes.
9 Also these thingis ben that ben gendrid in watris, and is leueful to ete;
Estos pueden tener para comida de todas las cosas que viven en el agua: cualquier cosa que viva en el agua, en los mares o ríos, que tenga aletas y escamas, se puede usar como comida.
10 ye schulen ete al thing that hath fynnes and scalis, as wel in the see, as in floodis and stondynge watris; sotheli what euer thing of tho that ben moued and lyuen in watris, hath not fynnes and scalis, schal be abhominable, and wlatsum to you;
Todas las demás cosas que viven y se mueven en el agua, en el mar o en los ríos, son una cosa desagradable para ustedes;
11 ye schulen not ete the fleischis of tho, and ye schulen eschewe the bodies deed bi hem silf.
No se pueden usar para comer, y sus cuerpos muertos despreciarás.
12 Alle thingis in watris that han not fynnes and scalis, schulen be pollutid,
Cualquier cosa en el agua que no tenga aletas o escamas lo tendrás por repugnante.
13 These thingis ben of foulis whiche ye schulen not ete, and schulen be eschewid of you; an egle, and a grippe, aliete, and a kyte, and a vultur by his kynde;
Y entre las aves te serán repugnantes, y no se usarán para comer: el águila y él buitre y el zopilote;
14 and al of `rauyns kynde bi his licnesse;
El gallinazo y el halcón, y las aves de ese tipo;
15 a strucioun,
Todo cuervo, y aves de ese tipo;
16 and nyyt crowe, a lare, and an hauke bi his kinde;
Y el avestruz y el gavilán y la gaviota, y las aves de ese tipo;
17 an owle, and dippere, and ibis;
Y la lechuza y el cormorán y la gran lechuza;
18 a swan and cormoraunt, and a pellican;
Y la gallina de agua y el pelícano y el buitre;
19 a fawcun, a iay bi his kynde; a leepwynke, and a reremows.
La cigüeña y la garza, y las aves de ese tipo, y la abubilla y el murciélago.
20 Al thing of foulis that goith on foure feet, schal be abhomynable to you;
Cada cosa de cuatro patas aladas que va sobre la tierra les será abominación;
21 sotheli what euer thing goith on foure feet, but hath lengere hipis bihynde, bi whiche it skippith on the erthe, ye schulen ete;
Pero de las cosas de cuatro patas aladas, las que tienen patas largas para saltar sobre la tierra pueden comer;
22 as is a bruke in his kynde, and acatus, and opymacus, and a locuste, alle bi her kynde.
Como todos los diferentes tipos de langosta, grillos, saltamontes.
23 Forsothe what euer thing of briddis hath foure feet oneli, it schal be abhomynable to you;
Pero todas las otras cosas aladas de cuatro patas que van sobre la tierra les serán abominación.
24 and who euer touchith her bodies deed bi hem silf, schal be defoulid, and `schal be vnclene `til to euentid;
Por esto serás inmundo; Cualquiera que toque sus cuerpos muertos será inmundo hasta la tarde:
25 and if it is nede, that he bere ony deed thing of these, he schal waische his clothis, and he schal be vnclene til to the goyng doun of the sunne.
Quien quite el cadáver de uno de ellos, será lavado su ropa, y será inmundo hasta la tarde.
26 Sotheli ech beeste that hath a clee, but departith not it, nether chewith code, schal be vnclene; and what euer thing touchith it, schal be defoulid.
Toda bestia, con pezuña, pero que no tiene pezuña partida, ni rumia, es impura para ustedes: cualquiera que toque una de estas será impuro.
27 That that goith on hondis, of alle beestis that gon on foure feet, schal be vnclene; he, that touchith her bodies deed bi hem silf, schal be defoulid `til to euentid;
Cualquier bestia de cuatro patas que ande sobre sus garras, es impura; cualquiera que toque el cadáver de uno de estos será inmundo hasta la tarde.
28 and he, that berith siche deed bodies, schal waische hise clothis, and he schal be vnclene `til to euentid; for alle these thingis ben vnclene to you.
Cualquiera que saque el cadáver de uno de estos debe lavarse la ropa y ser inmundo hasta la tarde.
29 Also these thingis schulen be arettid among defoulid thingis, of these that ben moued on erthe; a wesele, and mows, and a cocodrille, `alle bi her kynde;
Y estas cosas son inmundas para ustedes entre las cosas que se arrastran sobre la tierra; la comadreja y el ratón y el gran lagarto, y los animales de ese tipo;
30 mygal, camelion, and stellio, and lacerta, and a maldewerp.
Y el geco, el cocodrilo de tierra y el lagarto y la lagartija, el camaleón.
31 Alle these ben vnclene; he that touchith her bodies deed bi hem silf, schal be vnclene `til to euentid;
Todo esto les es inmundo: cualquiera que los toque cuando estén muertos será inmundo hasta la tarde.
32 and that thing schal be defoulid, on which ony thing of her bodies deed bi hem silf fallith, as wel a vessel of tree, and a cloth, as skynnes `and heiris; and in what euer thing werk is maad, it schal be dippid in watir, and tho thingis schulen be defoulid `til to euentid, and so aftirward tho schulen be clensid.
El cuerpo muerto de cualquiera de estos, cayendo sobre cualquier cosa, hará que esa cosa sea impura; si se trata de cualquier recipiente de madera, ropa, piel o bolsa, sea lo que sea, si se usa para cualquier propósito, se deberá poner en el agua y quedará impuro hasta la tarde; después de eso estará limpio.
33 Sotheli a vessel of erthe, in which ony thing of these fallith with ynne, schal be defoulid, and therfor it schal be brokun.
Y si uno de ellos se mete en cualquier recipiente de la tierra, todo lo que esté en el recipiente será inmundo y el recipiente tendrá que ser roto.
34 Ech mete, which ye schulen ete, schal be vnclene, if water is sched thereon; and ech fletynge thing, which is drunkun of ech vessel, `where ynne vnclene thingis bifelden, schal be vnclene;
Cualquier alimento que contenga, y cualquier cosa de la que provenga el agua, será inmunda: cualquier bebida que se tome de tal recipiente será inmunda.
35 and what euer thing of siche deed bodies bi hem silf felde theronne, it schal be vnclene, whether furneisis, ethir vessels of thre feet, tho schulen be destried, and schulen be vnclene.
Cualquier parte del cuerpo muerto de uno de estos, cayendo sobre cualquier cosa, lo dejará impuro; si es un horno o una olla, tendrá que romperse: están sucios y serán impuros para ustedes.
36 Sotheli wellis and cisternes, and al the congregacioun of watris, schal be clene. He that touchith her bodi deed bi it silf, schal be defoulid.
Pero al mismo tiempo, un manantial o una cisterna donde se almacena el agua para su uso estará limpio; pero cualquiera que toque sus cuerpos muertos será inmundo.
37 If it fallith on seed, it schal not defoule the seed;
Si alguna parte del cuerpo muerto de uno de estos entra en contacto con cualquier semilla para plantar, está limpia;
38 sotheli if ony man schedith seed with watir, and aftirward the watir is touchid with deed bodies bi hem silf, it schal be defoulid anoon.
Pero si se pone agua en la semilla, y cualquier parte del cuerpo muerto cae sobre ella, será impura para ustedes.
39 If a beeste is deed, which it is leueful to you to ete, he that touchith the deed bodi therof schal be vnclene `til to euentid; and he that etith therof ony thing,
Y si alguna bestia que pueda ser usada para comer llega a una muerte natural, cualquiera que toque su cadáver será inmundo hasta la tarde.
40 ethir berith, schal waische his clothis, and schal be vnclene `til to euentid.
Y el que hace uso de cualquier parte de su cuerpo para comer debe lavar su ropa y ser inmundo hasta la tarde; y cualquiera que se saque su cuerpo debe lavarse la ropa y ser inmundo hasta la tarde.
41 Al thing that crepith on erthe, schal be abhomynable, nether schal be takun in to mete.
Todo lo que se arrastra sobre su cuerpo en la tierra es asqueroso, y no debe usarse como alimento.
42 `What euer thing goith on the brest and foure feet, and hath many feet, ethir drawun bi the erthe, ye schulen not ete, for it is abhomynable.
Lo que se arrastran en su estómago o en cuatro pies o que tenga una gran cantidad de pies, incluso todos los que se quedan en la tierra, no se pueden usar como alimento, porque son asquerosos.
43 Nyle ye defoule youre soulis, nether touche ye ony thing of tho, lest ye ben vnclene;
Ustedes no deben contaminarse con cualquier cosa que se arrastre sobre la tierra; Ustedes no pueden hacerse impuros con ellos, de tal manera que no sean santos para mí.
44 for Y am youre Lord God; be ye hooli, for Y am hooli. Defoule ye not youre soulis in ech crepynge `beeste which is moued on erthe; for Y am the Lord,
Porque yo soy el Señor, su Dios; por este motivo, consagrense y sean santos, porque yo soy santo; Ustedes no deben hacerse impuros con ningún tipo de cosa que se arrastra sobre la tierra.
45 that ladde you out of the lond of Egipt, that Y schulde be to you in to God; ye schulen be hooli, for Y am hooli.
Porque yo soy el Señor, que te saqué de la tierra de Egipto para ser su Dios; por eso deben ser santos, porque yo soy santo.
46 This is the lawe of lyuynge beestes, and of foulis, and of ech lyuynge soule which is moued in watir, and crepith in erthe;
Esta es la ley sobre las bestias y las aves y todo ser viviente que se mueve en las aguas, y todo ser viviente que se arrastra sobre la tierra:
47 that ye knowe differences of clene thing and vnclene, and that ye wite what ye schulen ete, and what ye owen forsake.
Para distinguir Sobre lo impuro de lo limpio y entre los animales que puede usarse para comer y de lo que no.
