Judges 4
1 And the sones of Israel addiden to do yuel in the `siyt of the Lord, aftir the deeth of Aioth.
Muerto Aod, los hijos de Israel volvieron a hacer lo que era malo a los ojos de Yahvé;
2 And the Lord bitook hem in to the hondis of Jabyn, kyng of Canaan, that regnede in Asor; and he hadde a duyk of his oost, Sisara bi name; and he dwellide in Aroseth of hethene men.
y Yahvé los vendió en manos de Jabín, rey de Canaán, que reinaba en Hasor. El jefe de su ejército era Sísara, el cual habitaba en Haserot-Goím.
3 And the sones of Israel crieden to the Lord; for he hadde nyn hundrid yrone charis, keruynge as sithis, and twenti yeer he oppresside hem greetli.
Clamaron entonces los hijos de Israel a Yahvé; porque tenía Jabín novecientos carros de hierro, y desde hacía veinte años oprimía duramente a los hijos de Israel.
4 Forsothe Delbora was a prophetesse, the wijf of Lapidoth, which Delbora demyde the puple in that tyme;
En aquel tiempo Débora, profetisa, mujer de Lapidot, juzgaba a Israel.
5 and sche sat vndur a palm tree, that was clepid bi her name, bitwixe Rama and Bethel, in the hil of Effraym; and the sones of Israel stieden to hir at ech dom.
Tenía su asiento debajo de la palmera de Débora, entre Ramá y Betel, en la montaña de Efraím; y los hijos de Israel acudían a ella en sus litigios.
6 And sche sente, and clepide Barach, the sone of Abynoen, of Cedes of Neptalym, and sche seide to hym, The Lord God of Israel comaundide to thee, Go thou, and lede an oost in to the hil of Thabor, and thou schalt take with thee ten thousande `of fiyteris of the sones of Neptalym and of the sones of Zabulon.
Envió ella a llamar a Barac, hijo de Abinoam, de Kedes-Neftalí, y le dijo: “¿No es esta la orden de Yahvé, el Dios de Israel: Anda y marcha hacia el monte Tabor, y toma contigo diez mil hombres de los hijos de Neftalí y de los hijos de Zabulón?
7 Sotheli Y schal brynge to thee, in the place of the stronde of Cison, Sisara, prince of `the oost of Jabyn, and his charis, and al the multitude; and Y schal bitake hem in thin hond.
Yo llevaré hacia ti, hacia el torrente Kisón, a Sísara, jefe del ejército de Jabín, con sus carros y con su multitud, y le entregaré en tus manos.”
8 And Barach seide to hir, If thou comest with me, Y schal go; if thou nylt come with me, Y schal not go.
Barac le contestó: “Si tú vienes conmigo, iré; pero si no vienes conmigo, no iré.”
9 And sche seyde to hym, Sotheli Y schal go with thee; but in this tyme the victorie schal not be arettide to thee; for Sisara schal be bitakun in the hond of a womman. Therfor Delbora roos, and yede with Barach in to Cedes.
A lo que ella replicó: “Sí, iré contigo; mas no será tuya la gloria de la expedición que vas a emprender; pues en manos de una mujer entregará Yahvé a Sísara.” Y se levantó Débora y fue con Barac a Kedes.
10 And whanne Zabulon and Neptalym weren clepid, he stiede with ten thousynde of fiyteris, and hadde Delbora in his felouschipe.
Barac convocó a Zabulón y a Neftalí en Kedes; y subieron en pos de él diez mil hombres. También Débora subió con él.
11 Forsothe Aber of Cyneth hadde departid sum tyme fro othere Cyneys hise britheren, sones of Obab, `alie of Moises; and he hadde set forth tabernaclis `til to the valei, which is clepid Sennym, and was bisidis Cedes.
Ahora bien, Héber, el cineo, que se había separado de los cineos, hijos de Hobab, cuñado de Moisés, había extendido sus tiendas hasta el encinar de Saaraim, cerca de Kedes.
12 And it was teld to Sisara, that Barach, sone of Abynoen, hadde stiede in to the hil of Thabor.
Cuando supo Sísara que Barac, hijo de Abinoam, había subido al monte Tabor,
13 And he gaderide nyn hundrid yronne charis, keruynge as sithis, and al the oost fro Aroseth of hethene men to the stronde of Cison.
hizo salir de Haserot-Goím al torrente Kisón todos sus carros, novecientos carros de hierro, con toda la gente que tenía.
14 And Delbora seide to Barach, Rise thou, for this is the day, in which the Lord bitook Sisara in to thin hondis; lo! the Lord is thi ledere. And so Barach cam doun fro the hil of Thabor, and ten thousynde of fyyteris with hym.
Entonces dijo Débora a Barac: “¡Levántate, que este es el día en que Yahvé ha entregado a Sísara en tus manos! ¿No va Yahvé delante de ti?” Bajó, entonces, Barac del monte Tabor, y tras él los diez mil hombres.
15 And the Lord made aferd Sisara, and alle `the charis of hym, and al the multitude, bi the scharpnesse of swerd, at the siyt of Barach, in so myche that Sisara lippide doun of the chare, and fledde `a foote.
Y Yahvé perturbó a Sísara delante de Barac, entregándolo con todos sus carros y con todo su ejército al filo de la espada. El mismo Sísara, saltando de su carro, huyó a pie.
16 And Barach pursuede the charis fleynge and the oost `til to Aroseth of hethene men; and al the multitude of enemyes felde doun `til to deeth.
Barac persiguió los carros y el ejército hasta Hasoret-Goím; y todo el ejército de Sísara cayó a filo de espada, sin quedar uno solo.
17 Sotheli Sisara fledde, and cam to the tente of Jahel, the wijf of Aber Cyney; forsothe pees waas bitwixe Jabyn, kyng of Asor, and bitwixe the hows of Aber Cyney.
Sísara huyó a pie a la tienda de Jael, mujer de Héber, cineo; porque había paz entre Jabín, rey de Hasor y la casa de Héber cineo.
18 Therfor Jahel yede out in to the comyng of Sisara, and seide to hym, My lord, entre thou to me, entre thou to me; drede thou not. And he entride in to `the tabernacle of hir, and was hilid of hir with a mentil.
Salió Jael a recibir a Sísara, y le dijo: “Entra, señor mío, entra en mi casa; no tengas temor.” Entró en la tienda de ella, y ella le cubrió con una alfombra.
19 And he seide to hir, Y biseche, yyue `thou to me a litil of watir, for Y thirste greetli. And sche openyde a `botel of mylk, and yaf to hym to drynke, and hilide hym.
Él le dijo: “Dame de beber, te ruego, un poco de agua, que tengo sed.” Y abrió ella el odre de la leche, le dio de beber y le volvió a cubrir.
20 And Sisara seide to hir, Stonde thou bifor the dore of the tabernacle, and whanne ony man cometh, and axith thee, and seith, Whether ony man is here? thou schalt answere, No man is here.
Él le dijo: “Ponte a la puerta de la tienda; y si viene alguno y te pregunta, diciendo: ¿Hay aquí alguien?, le responderás que no.”
21 And so Jahel, the wijf of Aber, took a nayl of the tabernacle, and sche took also an hamer; and sche entride pryueli, and puttide with silence the nail on the temple of his heed, and sche fastnede the nail smytun with the hamer in to the brayn, `til to the erthe; and he slepte, and diede to gidere, and failide, and was deed.
Entonces Jael, mujer de Héber, tomó una estaca de la tienda y empuñando con su mano un martillo, se acercó a él calladamente y le hincó en la sien la estaca hasta que penetró en la tierra; porque Sísara estaba demasiado fatigado y había caído en un profundo sueño, Y así murió.
22 And lo! Barach suede Sisara, `and cam; and Jahel yede out in to his comyng, and seide to hym, Come, and Y schal schewe to thee the man, whom thou sekist. And whanne he hadde entrid to hir, he siy Sisara liggynge deed, and a nail fastnede in to hise templis.
Y he aquí que vino Barac que perseguía a Sísara. Salió Jael a recibirle, y le dijo: “Ven, y te mostrare al hombre que estás buscando.” Entró él en la casa, y vio a Sísara tendido y muerto, con el clavo en la sien.
23 Therfor in that day God `made low Jabyn, the kyng of Canaan, bifor the sones of Israel;
En aquel día Dios humilló a Jabín, rey de Canaán, ante los hijos de Israel.
24 whiche encresiden ech dai, and with strong hond oppressiden Jabyn, the kyng of Canaan, til thei diden hym awey.
Y la mano de los hijos de Israel se hizo cada vez más pesada sobre Jabín, rey de Canaán, hasta que lo destruyeron por completo.
