Joshua 6
1 Forsothe Jerico was closid and wardid, for the drede of the sones of Israel, and no man durste entre, ethir go out.
१यरीहो के सब फाटक इस्राएलियों के डर के मारे लगातार बन्द रहे, और कोई बाहर भीतर आने-जाने नहीं पाता था।
2 And the Lord seide to Josue, Lo! Y yaf in to thin hondis Jerico, and the king therof, and alle strong men.
२फिर यहोवा ने यहोशू से कहा, “सुन, मैं यरीहो को उसके राजा और शूरवीरों समेत तेरे वश में कर देता हूँ।
3 Alle ye fiyteris, cumpasse the citee onys bi the day; so ye schulen do in sixe daies.
३सो तुम में जितने योद्धा हैं नगर को घेर लें, और उस नगर के चारों ओर एक बार घूम आएँ। और छः दिन तक ऐसा ही किया करना।
4 Forsothe in the seuenthe dai the preestis schulen take seuene clariouns, of whiche `the vss is in iubile; and thei schulen go bifor the arke of boond of pees; and seuen sithes ye schulen cumpasse the citee, and the preestis schulen trumpe with clariouns.
४और सात याजक सन्दूक के आगे-आगे मेढ़ों के सींगों के सात नरसिंगे लिए हुए चलें; फिर सातवें दिन तुम नगर के चारों ओर सात बार घूमना, और याजक भी नरसिंगे फूँकते चलें।
5 And whanne the vois of the trumpe schal sowne lengere, and more bi whiles, and schal sowne in youre eeris, al the puple schal crie togidere with gretteste cry; and the wallis of the citee schulen falle alle doun, and alle men schulen entre bi the place, ayens which thei stonden.
५और जब वे मेढ़ों के सींगों के नरसिंगे देर तक फूँकते रहें, तब सब लोग नरसिंगे का शब्द सुनते ही बड़ी ध्वनि से जयजयकार करें; तब नगर की शहरपनाह नींव से गिर जाएगी, और सब लोग अपने-अपने सामने चढ़ जाएँ।”
6 Therfor Josue, the sone of Nun, clepide preestis, and seide to hem, Take ye the ark of boond of pees, and seuene othere preestis take seuene clariouns of iubile yeeris, and go thei bifor the arke of the Lord.
६सो नून के पुत्र यहोशू ने याजकों को बुलवाकर कहा, “वाचा के सन्दूक को उठा लो, और सात याजक यहोवा के सन्दूक के आगे-आगे मेढ़ों के सींगों के सात नरसिंगे लिए चलें।”
7 Also Josue seide to the puple, Go ye, and cumpasse ye the citee, and go ye armed bifor the arke of the Lord.
७फिर उसने लोगों से कहा, “आगे बढ़कर नगर के चारों ओर घूम आओ; और हथियार-बन्द पुरुष यहोवा के सन्दूक के आगे-आगे चलें।”
8 And whanne Josue hadde endid the wordis, and seuene preestis trumpiden with seuen clariouns bifor the arke of boond of pees of the Lord,
८और जब यहोशू ये बातें लोगों से कह चुका, तो वे सात याजक जो यहोवा के सामने सात नरसिंगे लिए हुए थे नरसिंगे फूँकते हुए चले, और यहोवा की वाचा का सन्दूक उनके पीछे-पीछे चला।
9 and al the puple armed yede bifore, the tothir comyn puple of fiyteris suede the arke, and alle thingis sowneden with clariouns.
९और हथियार-बन्द पुरुष नरसिंगे फूँकनेवाले याजकों के आगे-आगे चले, और पीछेवाले सन्दूक के पीछे-पीछे चले, और याजक नरसिंगे फूँकते हुए चले।
10 Sotheli Josue comaundide to the puple, and seide, Ye schulen not crye, nethir youre vois schal be herd, nethir ony word schal go out of youre mouth, til the dai come, in which Y schal seie to you, Crye ye, and make ye noyse.
१०और यहोशू ने लोगों को आज्ञा दी, “जब तक मैं तुम्हें जयजयकार करने की आज्ञा न दूँ, तब तक जयजयकार न करना, और न तुम्हारा कोई शब्द सुनने में आए, न कोई बात तुम्हारे मुँह से निकलने पाए; आज्ञा पाते ही जयजयकार करना।”
11 Therfor the arke of the Lord cumpasside the citee onys bi day, and turnede ayen in to the castels, and dwellide there.
११उसने यहोवा के सन्दूक को एक बार नगर के चारों ओर घुमवाया; तब वे छावनी में आए, और रात वहीं काटी।
12 Therfor while Josue roos bi nyyt, preestis tooken the arke of the Lord;
१२यहोशू सवेरे उठा, और याजकों ने यहोवा का सन्दूक उठा लिया।
13 and seuene of the preestis token seuen clariouns, of whiche `the vss is in iubilee, and yeden bifor the arke of the Lord, `and yeden, and trumpiden; and the puple yede armed bifor hem. Sotheli the tother comyn puple suede the arke, and sownede with clariouns.
१३और उन सात याजकों ने मेढ़ों के सींगों के सात नरसिंगे लिए और यहोवा के सन्दूक के आगे-आगे फूँकते हुए चले; और उनके आगे हथियार-बन्द पुरुष चले, और पीछेवाले यहोवा के सन्दूक के पीछे-पीछे चले, और याजक नरसिंगे फूँकते चले गए।
14 And thei cumpassiden the citee in the secunde dai onys, and turneden ayen in to the castels; so thei dyden in sixe daies.
१४इस प्रकार वे दूसरे दिन भी एक बार नगर के चारों ओर घूमकर छावनी में लौट आए। और इसी प्रकार उन्होंने छः दिन तक किया।
15 Sotheli in the seuenthe dai thei risiden eerli, and cumpassiden the citee, as it was disposid, seuen sithis.
१५फिर सातवें दिन वे बड़े तड़के उठकर उसी रीति से नगर के चारों ओर सात बार घूम आए; केवल उसी दिन वे सात बार घूमे।
16 And whanne in the seuenthe cumpas preestis sowneden with clariouns, Josue seide to al Israel, Crie ye, for the Lord hath bitake the citee to vs;
१६तब सातवीं बार जब याजक नरसिंगे फूँकते थे, तब यहोशू ने लोगों से कहा, “जयजयकार करो; क्योंकि यहोवा ने यह नगर तुम्हें दे दिया है।
17 and this citee be cursid, ethir distried, and alle thingis that ben therynne be halewid to the Lord. Raab the hoor aloone lyue, with alle men that ben with hir in the hows; for sche hidde the messangeris whiche we senten.
१७और नगर और जो कुछ उसमें है यहोवा के लिये अर्पण की वस्तु ठहरेगी; केवल राहाब वेश्या और जितने उसके घर में हों वे जीवित छोड़े जाएँगे, क्योंकि उसने हमारे भेजे हुए दूतों को छिपा रखा था।
18 Forsothe be ye war, lest ye touchen ony thing of these that ben comaundid to you, and ye ben gilti of trespassyng; and alle the castels of Israel be vndur synne, and be troblid.
१८और तुम अर्पण की हुई वस्तुओं से सावधानी से अपने आपको अलग रखो, ऐसा न हो कि अर्पण की वस्तु ठहराकर बाद में उसी अर्पण की वस्तु में से कुछ ले लो, और इस प्रकार इस्राएली छावनी को भ्रष्ट करके उसे कष्ट में डाल दो।
19 Sotheli what euer thing is of gold, and of siluer, and of brasun vessels, and of yrun, be halewid to the Lord, and be kept in hise tresoris.
१९सब चाँदी, सोना, और जो पात्र पीतल और लोहे के हैं, वे यहोवा के लिये पवित्र हैं, और उसी के भण्डार में रखे जाएँ।”
20 Therfor while al the puple criede, and the trumpis sowneden, aftir that the sowne sownede in the eeris of the multitude, the walles felden doun anoon; and ech man stiede bi the place that was ayens hym. And thei token the citee,
२०तब लोगों ने जयजयकार किया, और याजक नरसिंगे फूँकते रहे। और जब लोगों ने नरसिंगे का शब्द सुना तो फिर बड़ी ही ध्वनि से उन्होंने जयजयकार किया, तब शहरपनाह नींव से गिर पड़ी, और लोग अपने-अपने सामने से उस नगर में चढ़ गए, और नगर को ले लिया।
21 and killiden alle thingis that weren therynne, fro man `til to womman, fro yong child `til to eld man; also thei smytiden bi the scharpnesse of swerd, oxun, and scheep, and assis.
२१और क्या पुरुष, क्या स्त्री, क्या जवान, क्या बूढ़े, वरन् बैल, भेड़-बकरी, गदहे, और जितने नगर में थे, उन सभी को उन्होंने अर्पण की वस्तु जानकर तलवार से मार डाला।
22 Forsothe Josue seide to twei men, that weren sent aspieris, Entre ye in to the hows of the womman hoore, and brynge ye forth hir, and alle thingis that ben herne, as ye maden stedfast to hir bi an ooth.
२२तब यहोशू ने उन दोनों पुरुषों से जो उस देश का भेद लेने गए थे कहा, “अपनी शपथ के अनुसार उस वेश्या के घर में जाकर उसको और जो उसके पास हों उन्हें भी निकाल ले आओ।”
23 And the yonge men entriden, and ledden out Raab, and her fadir, and modir, and britheren, and al the purtenaunce of houshold, and the kynrede `of hir; and maden to dwelle without the castels of Israel.
२३तब वे दोनों जवान भेदिए भीतर जाकर राहाब को, और उसके माता-पिता, भाइयों, और सब को जो उसके यहाँ रहते थे, वरन् उसके सब कुटुम्बियों को निकाल लाए, और इस्राएल की छावनी से बाहर बैठा दिया।
24 Sotheli thei brenten the citee, and alle thingis that weren foundun therynne, without gold, and siluer, and brasun vesselis, and yrun, which thei halewiden in to the `treserie of the Lord.
२४तब उन्होंने नगर को, और जो कुछ उसमें था, सब को आग लगाकर फूँक दिया; केवल चाँदी, सोना, और जो पात्र पीतल और लोहे के थे, उनको उन्होंने यहोवा के भवन के भण्डार में रख दिया।
25 Sotheli Josue made Raab the hoore to lyue, and `the hows of hir fadir, and alle thingis that sche hadde; and thei dwelliden in the myddis of Israel, `til in to present dai; for sche hidde the messangeris, whiche he sente to asspie Jerico. In that tyme Josue preiede hertli,
२५और यहोशू ने राहाब वेश्या और उसके पिता के घराने को, वरन् उसके सब लोगों को जीवित छोड़ दिया; और आज तक उसका वंश इस्राएलियों के बीच में रहता है, क्योंकि जो दूत यहोशू ने यरीहो के भेद लेने को भेजे थे उनको उसने छिपा रखा था।
26 and seide, Cursid bifor the Lord be the man, that reisith and bildith the citee of Jerico! Leie he the foundementis therof in his firste gendrid sone, and putte he the yatis therof in the laste of fre children.
२६फिर उसी समय यहोशू ने इस्राएलियों के सम्मुख शपथ रखी, और कहा, “जो मनुष्य उठकर इस नगर यरीहो को फिर से बनाए वह यहोवा की ओर से श्रापित हो। “जब वह उसकी नींव डालेगा तब तो उसका जेठा पुत्र मरेगा, और जब वह उसके फाटक लगवाएगा तब उसका छोटा पुत्र मर जाएगा।”
27 Therfor the Lord was with Josue, and his name was pupplischid in ech lond.
२७और यहोवा यहोशू के संग रहा; और यहोशू की कीर्ति उस सारे देश में फैल गई।
