Joshua 5
1 Therfor aftir that alle kyngis of Ammorreys herden, that dwelliden ouer Jordan at the west coost, and alle the kyngis of Canaan, that weldiden nyy places of the greet see, that the Lord hadden dried the flowyngis of Jordan bifor the sones of Israel, til thei passiden, the herte of hem was failid, and spirit dwellide not in hem, dredynge the entring of the sones of Israel.
Sa dihang nadungog sa tanang mga hari sa mga Amorihanon nga atua sa kasadpang bahin sa Jordan, ug sa tanang mga hari sa mga Canaanhon, nga atua duol sa baybayon sa Dakong Dagat, nga gipahubas ni Yahweh ang katubigan sa Jordan hangtod nga nakatabok ang katawhan sa Israel, nangatunaw ang ilang mga kasingkasing, ug wala nay espiritu sa kaisog diha kanila tungod sa mga tawo sa Israel.
2 In that tyme the Lord seide to Josue, Make to thee knyues of stoon, and circumside thou the sones of Israel, in the secunde tyme.
Nianang panahona miingon si Yahweh kang Josue, “Paghimo ug santik nga mga kutsilyo ug sa makausa pa tulia ang tanang mga lalaki sa Israel.”
3 Josue dide tho thingis whiche the Lord comaundide, and he circumside the sones of Israel in the `hil of prepucies.
Unya naghimo si Josue sa iyang kaugalingon ug santik nga mga kutsilyo ug gituli niya ang tanang mga lalaki sa Israel didto sa Gibeat Haaralot.
4 Sotheli this is the cause of the secunde circumcisioun; al the puple of male kynde, that yede out of Egipt, alle men fiyteris, weren deed in deseert bi the lengeste cumpassis of weie,
Ug mao kini ang hinungdan nga gituli sila ni Josue: ang tanang mga lalaki nga nanggula gikan sa Ehipto, lakip na ang tanang manggugubat nga kalalakin-an, nangamatay sa dalan didto sa kamingawan, human sila nakagula gikan sa Ehipto.
5 whiche alle weren circumsidid. Sotheli the puple
Bisan tuod ang tanang kalalakin-an nga nanggula sa Ehipto nangatuli na, sa gihapon, wala pay natuli nga bata nga mga lalaki nga natawo didto sa kamingawan sa ilang dalan paggawas sa Ehipto.
6 that was borun in deseert bi fourti yeer, in the weie of broddeste wildirnesse, was vncircumsidid til thei weren waastid, that herden not the `vois of the Lord, and to whiche he swoor bifore, that he schulde schewe to hem the lond flowynge with mylk and hony.
Kay ang mga tawo sa Israel nanglakaw man sulod sa 40 ka tuig sa kamingawan hangtod nga ang tanang katawhan, nga mao, ang tanang kalalakin-an nga manggugubat nga nanggula sa Ehipto, nangamatay, tungod kay wala man sila mituman sa tingog ni Yahweh. Nanumpa si Yahweh kanila nga dili niya sila tugotan nga makakita sa yuta nga iyang gisaad sa ilang mga katigulangan nga iyang ihatag kanato, ang yuta nga nagadagayday ang gatas ug dugos.
7 The sones of hem camen aftirward in to the place of fadris, and thei weren circumsidid of Josue; whiche, as thei weren borun, weren in prepucie, nether ony man hadde circumsidid hem in the weie.
Ang ilang mga anak nga giamuma ni Yahweh puli kanila mao ang gituli ni Josue, tungod kay wala man sila natuli didto sa dalan.
8 Forsothe aftir that alle weren circumsidid, thei dwelliden in the same place of tentis, til thei weren heelid.
Sa dihang natuli na silang tanan, nagpabilin sila didto sa ilang gipuy-an nga kampo hangtod nangaayo sila.
9 And the Lord seide to Josue, To dai Y haue take awei fro you the schenschip of Egipt. And the name of that place was clepid Galgala, `til in to present dai.
Ug miingon si Yahweh kang Josue, “Niining adlawa gikuha ko na ang pagpakaulaw sa Ehipto diha kaninyo.” Busa, ang ngalan niana nga dapit gitawag ug Gilgal hangtod niining adlawa.
10 And the sones of Israel dwelliden in Galgalis, and maden pask in the fourtenthe dai of the monethe at euentide, in the feeldi places of Jerico;
Ang mga tawo sa Israel nagkampo didto sa Gilgal. Nagsaulog sila sa Pagsaylo sa ikanapulo ug upat nga adlaw sa bulan, sa kagabhion, didto sa kapatagan sa Jerico.
11 and `thei eten of the fruytis of the lond `in the tothir day, therf looues, and potage of the same yeer, `ether cornys seengid and frotid in the hond.
Ug sa adlaw human ang Pagsaylo, niana gayod nga adlaw, nangaon sila sa pipila sa abot sa yuta, tinapay nga walay igpapatubo, ug sinanlag nga trigo.
12 And manna failide aftir that thei eten of the fruytis of the lond; and the sones of Israel vsiden no more that mete, but thei eten of the fruytis of present yeer of the lond of Canaan.
Sa adlaw human sila nangaon sa abot sa yuta mihunong ang mana. Wala na gayoy mana alang sa katawhan sa Israel, apan nangaon sila sa abot sa yuta sa Canaan niana nga tuig.
13 Sothely whanne Josue was in the feeld of the cite of Jerico, he reiside the iyen, and siy a man stondynge ayens hym, and holdynge a drawun swerd; and Josue yede out to hym, and seide, Art thou oure, ethir `of aduersaries?
Sa dihang atua si Josue duol sa Jerico, giyahat niya ang iyang mga mata ug mitan-aw, ug tan-awa, adunay tawo nga nagtindog diha sa iyang atubangan; gihulbot niya ang iyang espada ug anaa kini sa iyang kamot. Miadto si Josue kaniya ug miingon, “Dapig ka ba kanamo o sa among mga kaaway?”
14 To whom he answeride, Nay, but Y am prince of the `hoost of the Lord, and now Y come. Josue felde lowe to erthe, and worschipide, and seide, What spekith my Lord to his seruaunt?
Miingon siya, “Wala niana. Kay ako ang pangulo sa kasundalohan ni Yahweh. Karon mianhi ako.” Unya mihapa si Josue sa yuta aron sa pagsimba ug miingon kaniya, “Unsa man ang isulti sa akong agalon sa iyang alagad?”
15 He seide, Vnlace thi schoo fro thi feet, for the place, in which thou stondist, is hooli. And Josue dide, as it was comaundid to hym.
Ang pangulo sa kasundalohan ni Yahweh miingon kang Josue, “Huboa ang imong sandalyas gikan sa imong mga tiil, tungod kay ang dapit nga imong gitindogan balaan.” Ug gibuhat kini ni Josue.
