Joshua 3
1 Therfor Josue roos bi nyyt, and mouede tentis; and thei yeden out of Sechym, and camen to Jordan, he and alle the sones of Israel, and dwelliden there thre daies.
| بامدادان یوشع بزودی برخاسته، او و تمامی بنی‌اسرائیل از شطیم روانه شده، به اردن آمدند، و قبل از عبور کردن در آنجا منزل گرفتند. | ۱ |
2 And whanne tho daies weren passid, crieris yeden thorouy the myddis of tentis,
| و بعد از سه روز روسای ایشان از میان لشکرگاه گذشتند. | ۲ |
3 and bigunnen to crie, Whanne ye seen the arke of boond of pees of youre Lord God, and the preestis of the generacioun of Leuy berynge it, also rise ye, and sue the biforgoeris;
| و قوم را امر کرده، گفتند: «چون تابوت عهد یهوه، خدای خود را ببینید که لاویان کهنه آن را می‌برند، آنگاه شما از جای خود روانه شده، در عقب آن بروید. | ۳ |
4 and a space of twey thousynde cubitis be bitwixe you and the arke, that ye moun se fer, and knowe bi what weie ye schulen entre, for ye `yeden not bifore bi it; and be ye war, that ye neiye not to the arke.
| و در میان شما و آن، به مقدار دوهزار ذراع مسافت باشد، ونزدیک آن میایید تا راهی که باید رفت بدانید، زیراکه از این راه قبل از این عبور نکرده‌اید.» | ۴ |
5 And Josue seide to the puple, Be ye halewid, for to morew the Lord schal make merueilis among you.
| و یوشع به قوم گفت: «خود را تقدیس نمایید زیرا فرداخداوند در میان شما کارهای عجیب خواهدکرد.» | ۵ |
6 And Josue seide to the preestis, Take ye the arke of the boond of pees `of the Lord, and go ye bifor the puple. Whiche filliden the heestis, and tooken the arke, and yeden bifor hem.
| و یوشع کاهنان را خطاب کرده، گفت: «تابوت عهد را برداشته، پیش روی قوم بروید.» پس تابوت عهد را برداشته، پیش روی قوم روانه شدند. | ۶ |
7 And the Lord seide to Josue, To dai Y schal bigynne to enhaunse thee bifor al Israel, that thei wite, that as Y was with Moises, so Y am also with thee.
| و خداوند یوشع را گفت: «امروز به بزرگ ساختن تو در نظر تمام اسرائیل شروع می‌کنم تابدانند که چنانکه با موسی بودم با تو نیز خواهم بود. | ۷ |
8 Forsothe comaunde thou to preestis, that beren the arke of bond of pees, and seie thou to hem, Whanne ye han entrid in to a part of the watir of Jordan, stonde ye therynne.
| پس تو کاهنان را که تابوت عهد رابرمی دارند امر فرموده، بگو: چون شما به کنار آب اردن برسید در اردن بایستید.» | ۸ |
9 And Josue seide to the sones of Israel, Neiye ye hidur, and here ye the word of youre Lord God.
| و یوشع بنی‌اسرائیل را گفت: «اینجا نزدیک آمده، سخنان یهوه خدای خود را بشنوید.» | ۹ |
10 And eft he seide, In this ye schulen wite that the Lord God lyuynge is in the myddis of you; and he schal distrye in youre siyt Cananey, Ethei, Euey, and Feresei, and Gergesei, and Jebusei, and Amorrei.
| و یوشع گفت: «به این خواهید دانست که خدای زنده در میان شماست، و او کنعانیان و حتیان و حویان و فرزیان و جرجاشیان و اموریان و یبوسیان را از پیش روی شما البته بیرون خواهد کرد. | ۱۰ |
11 Lo! the arke of boond of pees of the Lord of al erthe schal go bifor you thorouy Jordan.
| اینک تابوت عهد خداوند تمامی زمین، پیش روی شما به اردن عبور می‌کند. | ۱۱ |
12 Make ye redi twelue men of the twelue lynagis of Israel, bi ech lynage o man.
| پس الان دوازده نفر از اسباطاسرائیل، یعنی از هر سبط یک نفر را انتخاب کنید. | ۱۲ |
13 And whanne the preestis, that beren the arke of boond of pees of the Lord God of al erthe, han set the steppis of her feet in the watris of Jordan, the watris that ben lowere schulen renne doun, and schulen faile; forsothe the watris that comen fro aboue schulen stonde togidere in o gobet.
| و واقع خواهد شد چون کف پایهای کاهنانی که تابوت یهوه، خداوند تمامی زمین رابرمی دارند در آبهای اردن قرار گیرد که آبهای اردن، یعنی آبهایی که از بالا می‌آید شکافته شده مثل توده بر روی هم خواهد ایستاد.» | ۱۳ |
14 Therfor the puple yede out of her tabernaclis to passe Jordan; and the preestis that baren the arke of boond of pees yeden bifor the puple.
| و چون قوم از خیمه های خود روانه شدند تا از اردن عبور کنند و کاهنان تابوت عهد را پیش روی قوم می‌بردند. | ۱۴ |
15 And whanne the preestis entriden in to Jordan, and her feet weren dippid in the part of watir; forsothe Jordan `hadde fillid the brynkis of his trow in the tyme of `ripe corn;
| و بردارندگان تابوت به اردن رسیدند، و پایهای کاهنانی که تابوت رابرداشته بودند، به کنار آب فرو رفت (و اردن، تمام موسم حصاد، بر همه کناره هایش سیلاب می‌شود). | ۱۵ |
16 the watris yeden doun, and stoden in o place, and wexiden grete at the licnesse of an hil, and apperiden fer fro the citee that was clepid Edom, `til to the place of Sarthan; sotheli the watris that weren lowere yeden doun in to the see of wildirnesse, which is now clepid the deed see, `til the watris failiden outirli.
| واقع شد که آبهایی که از بالامی آمد، بایستاد و به مسافتی بسیار دور تا شهرآدم که به‌جانب صرتان است، بلند شد، و آبی که به سوی دریای عربه، یعنی بحرالملح می‌رفت تمام قطع شد، و قوم در مقابل اریحا عبور کردند. | ۱۶ |
17 Forsothe the puple yede thorouy Jordan; and the preestis, that baren the arke of the boond of pees of the Lord, stoden gird on the drie erthe in the myddis of Jordan, and al the puple passide thorouy the drie trow.
| و کاهنانی که تابوت عهد خداوند رابرمی داشتند در میان اردن بر خشکی قایم ایستادند، و جمیع اسرائیل به خشکی عبورکردند تا تمامی قوم از اردن، بالکلیه گذشتند. | ۱۷ |
