Joshua 23

१परमेश्वराने इस्राएलला त्यांच्या आसपासच्या सर्व शत्रूंपासून विसावा दिल्यानंतर बराच काळ लोटला, आणि यहोशवा वृद्ध झाला होता.
2 and the grettere men in birthe, and the princes, and dukis, and maistris, and seide to hem, Y `wexide elde, and Y am of grettere age;
२तेव्हा यहोशवाने सर्व इस्राएल, त्यांचे वडील व त्यांचे मुख्य पुरुष व त्यांचे न्यायाधीश व त्यावरील कारभारी यांना बोलावून सांगितले, “मी फार वृद्ध झालो आहे.
3 and ye seen alle thingis whiche youre Lord God hath do to alle naciouns `bi cumpas, hou he fauyt for you.
३तुमच्यासाठी, या सर्व राष्ट्रांसोबत तुमचा देव परमेश्वर याने सर्वकाही कसे केले, हे सर्व तुम्ही आपल्या डोळ्यांनी पाहिले आहे. कारण परमेश्वर देव, जो स्वतः केवळ तुमच्यासाठी लढला.

६तेव्हा चांगले बळकट व्हा, यास्तव मोशेच्या नियमशास्त्राच्या ग्रंथात जे लिहिलेले आहे त्या सर्वांचे पालन करा आणि त्यांपासून उजवीकडे किंवा डावीकडे वळू नका.

७तुमच्याजवळ जी राष्ट्रे उरलेली आहेत त्यांमध्ये तुम्ही जाऊ नका, आणि त्यांच्या देवांच्या नावांची आठवण करू नका, आणि त्यांची शपथ घालू नका; त्यांची सेवाही करू नका, आणि त्यांच्या पाया पडू नका.
8 But cleue ye to youre Lord God, which thing ye han do `til in to this dai;
८परंतु आजपर्यंत जसे तुम्ही करीत आला, तसे आपला देव परमेश्वर याला बिलगून राहा.
9 and thanne the Lord God schal do awei in youre siyt grete folkis, and strongeste; and noon schal mow ayenstonde you.
९कारण, परमेश्वराने तुमच्यापुढून मोठी व पराक्रमी राष्ट्रे वतनातून घालवली, परंतु तुमची अशी गोष्ट आहे की तुमच्यापुढे आजपर्यंत कोणीही मनुष्य उभा राहू शकला नाही.
10 Oon of you schal pursue a thousynde men of enemyes, for youre Lord God schal fiyte for you, as he bihiyte.
१०तुमच्यातला एक मनुष्य हजारांची पाठ पुरवील, कारण की तुमचा देव परमेश्वर याने जसे तुम्हाला सांगितले, तसा तो स्वत: तुमच्यासाठी लढतो.
11 Be ye war bifore moost diligentli of this thing oneli, that ye loue youre Lord God.
११तर तुम्ही आपला देव परमेश्वर यावर प्रीती करण्यासाठी आपल्या चित्ताची फार खबरदारी घ्या.
12 That if ye wolen cleue to the errouris of these folkis that dwellen among you, and wolen medle mariagis with hem, and couple frenschipis,
१२पण जर तुम्ही कोणत्याही प्रकारे मागे वळाल, आणि जी तुमच्याजवळ उरलेली राष्ट्रे यांच्याशी चिकटून रहाल आणि त्यांच्याशी विवाह करून त्यांच्यामध्ये जाल, आणि ते तुमच्यामध्ये येतील;
13 wite ye riyt now, that `youre Lord God schal not do awei hem bifor youre face, but thei schulen be to you in to a dich, and a snare, and in to hirtyng of youre side, and in to stakis in youre iyen, til youre Lord God take awei you, and distrie fro this beste loond, which he yaf to you.
१३तर तुम्ही हे पक्के समजा की यापुढे तुमचा देव परमेश्वर या राष्ट्रांना तुमच्या नजरेपुढून आणखी घालवणार नाही; आणि जी ही उत्तम भूमी तुमचा देव परमेश्वर याने तुम्हाला दिली, तिच्यावरून तुम्ही नाश पावून जाल तोपर्यंत ती तुम्हाला सापळा व पाश व तुमच्या पाठीला चाबूक व तुमच्या डोळ्यांत काटे असे होतील.
14 Lo! Y entre to dai in to the weye of al erthe; and ye schulen knowe `with al soule, that of al wordis whiche the Lord bihiyte hym silf to yyue to you, not oon passide in veyn.
१४तर पाहा, आज मी सर्व जग जाते त्या वाटेने जात आहे; परंतु तुम्ही आपल्या संपूर्ण मनात व आपल्या संपूर्ण चित्तात जाणता की ज्या चांगल्या गोष्टी तुमचा देव परमेश्वराने तुमच्याविषयी सांगितल्या, त्या सर्वांतली एकही गोष्ट कमी पडली नाही; अवघ्या तुम्हाला प्राप्त झाल्या; त्यातली एकही गोष्ट कमी पडली नाही.
15 Therfor as he fillide in werk that, that he bihiyte, and alle thingis bifelden `bi prosperite, so he schal brynge on you whateuer thing of yuelis he manaasside, til he take awei you, and distrie fro this beste lond, which he yaf to you.
१५तर असे होईल की तुमचा देव परमेश्वर याने तुम्हाला सांगितलेली जी प्रत्येक चांगली गोष्ट, ती जशी तुम्हाला प्राप्त झाली तशी देव तुम्हाला प्रत्येक वाईट गोष्ट प्राप्त व्हावी अशी करील; जी ही उत्तम भूमी तुमच्या देवाने तुम्हाला दिली आहे, तिच्यावरून तो तुमचा नाश करून तुम्हास घालवी तोपर्यंत तो असे करील.
16 For ye braken the couenaunt of `youre Lord God, which he made with you, and serueden alien goddis, and worschipeden hem, sone and swiftli the strong veniaunce of the Lord schal rise `on to you; and ye schulen be takun awei fro this beste lond, which he yaf to you.
१६तुमचा देव परमेश्वर याने जो करार पाळण्याची तुम्हाला आज्ञा केली आहे, तो मोडून दुसऱ्या देवाची सेवा कराल, आणि त्यांना नमन कराल, तर देवाचा राग तुम्हावर भडकेल, आणि जो उत्तम देश त्याने तुम्हाला दिला आहे, त्यातून तुम्हाला त्वरीत नष्ट करील.”
