Joshua 16

1 And the lot, `ethir part, of the sones of Joseph felde fro Jordan ayens Jerico, and at the watris therof, fro the eest; is the wildirnesse, that stieth fro Jerico to the hil of Bethel,

Potom padl los synům Jozefovým, od Jordánu proti Jerichu při vodách Jerišských k východu, poušť, kteráž se začíná od Jericha přes hory Bethel.

2 and it goith out fro Bethel `in to Luzan, and passith the terme of Architaroth,

A od Bethel vychází do Lůza, a přichází ku pomezí Archi do Atarot.

3 and it goith doun to the west, bisidis the terme of Jefleti, `til to the termes of the lowere Bethoron, and of Gazer; and the cuntrees therof ben endid with the greet see,

Potom jde k moři ku pomezí Jefleti, až ku pomezí Betoron dolního, a až k Gázer, a skonává se při moři.

4 whiche cuntreis Manasses and Effraym, the sones of Joseph, weldiden.

I vzali dědictví své synové Jozefovi, Manasses a Efraim.

5 And the terme of the sones of Effraym, bi her meynees, and `the possessioun of hem was maad ayens the eest, Accarothaddar `til to the hiyere Bethoron.

Byla pak meze synů Efraimových po čeledech jejich, ta byla meze dědictví jejich na východ, od Atarot Addar až do Betoron vrchního.

6 And the coostis goon out in to the see; sotheli Mathmetath biholdith the north, and cumpassith the termes ayens the eest in Tharnarselo,

A vychází meze ta k moři při Michmetat od půlnoční strany, a obchází meze k východu Tanatsilo, a přechází ji od východu k Janoe.

7 and passith fro the stronde of Janee; and it goith doun fro Janee in to Atharoth and Noathara, and cometh in to Jerico; and it goith out to Jordan fro Taphua,

A sstupuje z Janoe do Atarot a Nárat, a přichází do Jericha, a vychází k Jordánu.

8 and passith ayens the see in to the valey of `the place of rehedis; and the goyngis out therof ben to the salteste see. This is the possessioun of the sones of Effraym, bi her meynees;

Od Tafue meze jde k moři ku potoku Kána, a skonává se při moři. To jest dědictví pokolení synů Efraim po čeledech jejich.

9 and citees and the townes of tho ben departid to the sones of Effraym, in the myddis of the possessioun of the sones of Manasses.

Města pak oddělená synům Efraimovým byla u prostřed dědictví synů Manassesových, všecka města s vesnicemi svými.

10 And the sones of Effraym killiden not Cananey, that dwellide in Gazer; and Cananey dwellide tributarie in the myddis of Effraym til in to this day.

A nevyplénili Kananea bydlícího v Gázer. I bydlil Kananejský u prostřed Efraima až do dnes, dávaje plat.
