Joshua 14
1 This `thing it is, which the sones of Israel weldiden in the lond of Canaan, which lond Eleazar the preest, and Josue, the sone of Nun, and the princes of meynees bi the lynagis of Israel yauen to hem,
Y estas son las herencias que los hijos de Israel tomaron en la tierra de Canaán, que Eleazar, el sacerdote, y Josué, el hijo de Nun, y los jefes de las tribus de los hijos de Israel, les entregaron.
2 and departiden alle thingis bi lot, as the Lord comaundide in the hond of Moises, to nyne lynagis and the half lynage.
Su herencia por la decisión del Señor, como él dio las órdenes a Moisés, para las nueve tribus y la media tribu.
3 For Moises hadde youe to `the twey lynagis and to the half lynage `possessioun ouer Jordan; without the Leuytis, that token no thing of the lond among her britheren;
Porque Moisés había dado su herencia a las dos tribus y la media tribu del otro lado del Jordán, pero a los levitas no les dio ninguna herencia entre ellos.
4 but the sones of Joseph weren departid in to twei lynagis, of Manasses and of Effraym, and `weren eiris in to the place of hem. And `the Leuytis token noon other part in the lond, no but citees to dwelle, and the subarbis of tho to werke beestis and her scheep to be fed.
Porque los hijos de José fueron dos tribus, Manasés y Efraín; y no le dieron a los levitas ninguna parte de la tierra, solo pueblos para sus lugares de vida, con tierras de pastoreo para su ganado y para su propiedad.
5 As the Lord comaundide to Moises, so the sones of Israel diden, and departiden the lond.
Como el Señor había dado órdenes a Moisés, así lo hicieron los israelitas, e hicieron división de la tierra.
6 And so the sones of Juda neiyiden to Josue in Galgalis; and Caleph, the sone of Jephone, of Ceneth, spak to him, Thou knowist, what the Lord spak to Moises, the man of God, of me and of thee in Cades Barne.
Entonces los hijos de Judá fueron a Josué en Gilgal; y Caleb, el hijo de Jefone, él cenezeo, le dijo: Tú tienes conocimiento de lo que el Señor le dijo a Moisés, el hombre de Dios, sobre mí y sobre ti en Cades-barnea.
7 Y was of fourti yeer, whanne Moises, `seruaunt of the Lord, sente me fro Cades Barne, that Y schulde biholde the lond, and Y teelde to hym that, that semyde soth to me.
Tenía cuarenta años cuando Moisés, el siervo del Señor, me envió desde Cades-Barnea para hacer una búsqueda a través de la tierra; y la cuenta que le di fue sincera de todo corazón.
8 Forsothe my britheren, thats tieden with me, discoumfortiden the herte of the puple, and neuertheles Y suede my Lord God.
Sin embargo, mis hermanos que subieron conmigo asustaron al pueblo: pero yo fui fiel al Señor con todo mi corazón.
9 And Moises swoor in that dai, and seide, The lond, which thi foot trad, schal be thi possessioun, and of thi sones withouten ende; for thou suedist thi Lord God.
Y ese día, Moisés hizo un juramento, diciendo: En verdad, la tierra que toquen tus pies se convertirá en una herencia para ti y tus hijos para siempre, porque has sido fiel al Señor tu Dios con todo tu corazón.
10 Sotheli the Lord grauntide lijf to me, as he bihiyte, `til in to present dai. Fourti yeer and fyue ben, sithen the Lord spak this word to Moises, whanne Israel yede bi the wildirnesse. To dai Y am of `foure scoor yeer and fyue,
Y ahora, como ves, el Señor me ha mantenido a salvo durante estos cuarenta y cinco años, desde el momento en que el Señor le dijo esto a Moisés, mientras Israel vagaba por el desierto: y ahora tengo ochenta y cinco años.
11 and Y am as myyti, as Y was myyti in that time, whanne Y was sent to aspie; the strengthe `of that tyme dwellith stabli in me `til to dai, as wel to fiyte, as to go.
Y aún así, hoy soy tan fuerte como lo era cuando Moisés me envió: como era mi fuerza entonces, así es ahora, para la guerra y para todos los asuntos de la vida.
12 Therfor yyue thou to me this hil, which the Lord bihiyte to me, while also thou herdist, in which hil ben Enachym, and grete `citees, and strengthid; if in hap the Lord is with me, and Y mai do hem awei, as he bihiyte to me.
Ahora, dame esta región montañosa nombrada por el Señor en ese momento; porque tenías una cuenta de ello entonces, cómo estaban los descendientes de Anac y las grandes ciudades amuralladas: si el Señor está conmigo, yo los expulsaré, como dijo el Señor.
13 And Josue blesside hym, and yaf to hym Ebron in to possessioun.
Y Josué le dio su bendición; y dio a Hebrón a Caleb, hijo de Jefone, por su herencia.
14 And fro that tyme Ebron was to Caleph, sone of Jephone, of Cenez, `til in to present dai; for he suede the Lord God of Israel.
Por lo tanto, Hebrón se convirtió en la herencia de Caleb, el hijo de Jefone, él cenezeo, hasta el día de hoy, porque con todo su corazón era fiel al Señor, el Dios de Israel.
15 The name of Ebron was clepid bifore Cariatharbe. Adam, the gretteste, was set there in the lond of Enachym; and the lond ceesside fro batels.
En tiempos anteriores, el nombre de Hebrón había sido Quiriat-arba, llamado así por Arba, el más grande de los Anaceos. Y la tierra descansó de la guerra.
