Joshua 13
1 Josue was eld and of greet age; and the Lord seide to him, Thou hast woxe eld, and art of long tyme; and largeste lond is left, which is not yit departid bi lot;
Habían pasado muchos años y Josué había envejecido. El Señor le habló diciendo: “Ya eres un anciano, pero aún te queda mucha tierra por conquistar.
2 that is, al Galile, Filistiym, and al Gessuri,
“Esta es la tierra que queda: el territorio de todos los filisteos y de todos los gesureos,
3 fro the troblid flood that moistith Egipt, `til to the termes of Acaron ayenus the north; the lond of Chanaan, which is departid `in to fyue litle kyngis of Filistym, of Gaza, and of Azotus, of Ascolon, of Geth, and of Accaron.
desde el río Sihor, en la frontera con Egipto, hacia el norte, hasta la frontera de Ecrón; todo esto se cuenta como cananeo, pero está bajo los cinco señores filisteos de Gaza, Asdod, Ascalón, Gat y Ecrón. Además está la tierra de los avvitas
4 Forsothe at the south ben Eueis, al the lond of Canaan, and Maara of Sidonyes, `til to Affetha, and to the termes of Amorrei, and the coostis of hym;
en el sur, toda la tierra de los cananeos, y Meará que pertenece a los sidonios, hasta Afec en la frontera con los amorreos,
5 and the cuntrei of Liban ayens the eest, fro Baalgath, vndur the hil of Hermon, til thou entrist into Emath,
así como la tierra de los giblitas y la zona del Líbano desde la ciudad de Baal-gad hasta las laderas del monte Hermón hasta Lebo-hamat,
6 of alle men that dwelliden in the hil, fro the Liban `til to the watris of Masserephoth, and alle men of Sidon; Y am, that schal do awei hem fro the face of the sones of Israel; therfor come it in to the part of eritage of Israel, as Y comaundide to thee.
Y todos los que viven en la región montañosa desde el Líbano hasta Misrefot Maim, incluyendo toda la tierra de los sidonios. “Yo mismo los expulsaré delante de los israelitas. Sólo asigna la tierra a Israel para que la posea, como te he ordenado.
7 And thou now departe the lond in to possessioun to the nyne lynagis, and to the half lynage of Manasses,
Así que reparte esta tierra entre las nueve tribus y la media tribu de Manasés para que la posean”.
8 with which lynage Ruben and Gad weldiden the lond, which lond Moises, the `seruaunt of the Lord, yaf to hem biyende the flowyngis of Jordan, at the eest coost;
La otra mitad de la tribu de Manasés, y las tribus de Rubén y Gad, ya habían recibido su concesión de tierras en el lado oriental del Jordán, tal como les fue asignada por Moisés, el siervo del Señor.
9 fro Aroer, which is set in the brynke of the stronde of Arnon, in the middis of the valei, and alle the feeldi places of Medaba,
Se extendía desde Aroer, al borde del valle de Arnón, desde la ciudad situada en medio del valle, y toda la meseta de Medeba, hasta Dibón;
10 `til to Dibon, and alle the citees of Seon, kyng of Amorreis, that regnyde in Esebon, `til to the termes of the sones of Amon,
y todas las ciudades que pertenecían a Sehón, rey de los amorreos, que gobernaba en Hesbón, hasta la frontera con los amonitas.
11 and of Galaad, and to the termes of Gessuri, and of Machati, and al the hil of Hermon, and al Basan, `til to Salecha;
Además, incluía Galaad, la tierra de los guesuritas y de los maacatitas, todo el monte Hermón y todo Basán hasta Salecá,
12 al the rewme of Og in Basan, that regnede in Astoroth, and in Edraym; `he was of the relikis of Rafaym, `that is, of giauntis; and Moises smoot hem and dide awey hem.
así como toda la tierra del reino de Og de Basán, que había gobernado en Astarot y Edrei. Era uno de los últimos de los refaítas. Moisés los había derrotado y expulsado.
13 And the sones of Israel nolden destrye Gessurri and Machati; and thei dwelliden in the myddis of Israel, `til in to present dai.
Pero los israelitas no habían expulsado a los gueshuritas ni a los maacateos, que aún viven entre ellos hasta el día de hoy.
14 Sotheli he yaf not possessioun to the lynage of Leuy, but sacrifices, and slayn sacrifices of the Lord God of Israel; that is `his eritage, as God spak to hym.
Moisés no asignó ninguna tierra a los levitas. En cambio, les asignó las ofrendas hechas con fuego al Señor, el Dios de Israel, como el Señor les había prometido.
15 Therfor Moises yaf possessioun to the lynage of the sones of Ruben, bi her kynredis;
Esta fue la tierra que Moisés asignó a la tribu de Rubén, por familias:
16 and `the term of hem was fro Aroer, which is set in the brenke of the stronde of Arnon, and in the myddil valei of the same stronde, al the pleyn that ledith to Medaba,
Su territorio se extendía desde Aroer, al borde del valle de Arnón, desde la ciudad en medio del valle, y toda la meseta de Medeba;
17 and Esebon, and alle the townes of tho, that ben in the feeldi places; and Dibon, and Baal Bamoth, and the citee of Baal Meon,
Hesbón y todas las ciudades en la meseta -Dibón, Bamot Baal, Bet Baal Meón,
18 and Gesa, and Sedymoth, and Mephe,
Jahaza, Cedemot, Mefaat,
19 and Cariathaym, and Sabana, and Sarathaphar, in the hil of the valey of Betheroeth,
Quiriatáim, Sibma, Zeret-Sahar, en una colina del valle,
20 and of Asedoch, Phasca, and Bethaissymoth;
Bet Peor, las laderas de Pisga, Bet Jesimot,
21 alle the feeldi citees, and alle the rewmes of Seon, kyng of Amorrey, that regnede in Esebon, whom Moyses smoot, with hise princes, Madian, Euey and Recten, and Sur, and Hur, and Rebee, duykis of Seon, enhabiters of the lond.
todas las ciudades de la meseta y todo el reino de Sehón, el rey amorreo, que gobernaba en Hesbón. Fue derrotado por Moisés, así como por los líderes madianitas Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur y Reba, príncipes que vivían en el reino y que eran aliados de Sejón.
22 And the sones of Israel killiden bi swerd Balaam, the fals diuynour, the sone of Beor, with othere men slayn.
Al mismo tiempo, los israelitas mataron a Balaam, hijo de Beor, el adivino, junto con los demás que fueron sacrificados.
23 And the terme of the sones of Ruben was maad the flood of Jordan; this is the possessioun of Rubenytis bi her kynredis of citees and of townes.
El Jordán era el límite de la tribu de Rubén. Esta era la tierra, las ciudades y las aldeas, asignadas a la tribu de Rubén, por familias.
24 And Moises yaf to the lynage of Gad, and to the sones therof, bi her kynredis, possessioun, of which this is departyng;
Esta fue la tierra que Moisés asignó a la tribu de Gad, por familias:
25 he yaf the termes of Jazer, and alle the citees of Galaad, and the half part of the lond of the sones of Amon, `til to Aroer which is ayens Tabba;
Su territorio era Jazer, todas las ciudades de Galaad y la mitad de la tierra de los amonitas hasta Aroer, cerca de Rabá;
26 and fro Esebon `til to Ramoth of Masphe, and Bethamyn, and Manayn, `til to the termes of Dabir;
que se extendía desde Hesbón hasta Ramat-mizpa y Betonim, y desde Mahanaim hasta la región de Debir.
27 and in the valei he yaf Betharan, and Bethneuar, and Socoth, and Saphan, the tother part of the rewme of Seon, kyng of Esebon; and the ende of this is Jordan, `til to the laste part of the see of Cenereth ouer Jordan, at the eest coost.
I En el valle del Jordán estaban Bet-haram, Bet-nimra, Sucot y Zafón, el resto del reino de Sehón, rey de Hesbón. La frontera corría a lo largo del Jordán hasta el extremo inferior del mar de Cineret y luego corría hacia el este.
28 This is the possessioun of the sones of Gad, bi her meynees, the citees and townes of tho.
Esta era la tierra, las ciudades y las aldeas, asignadas a la tribu de Gad, por familias.
29 He yaf also possessioun to the half lynage of Manasses, and to hise sones, bi her kynredis,
Esta fue la tierra que Moisés asignó a la media tribu de Manasés, es decir, a la mitad de la tribu de los descendientes de Manasés, por familias:
30 of which possessioun this is the bigynnyng; he yaf Ammaym, and al Basan, and alle the rewmes of Og, kyng of Basan, and alle the townes of Jair, that ben in Basan, sixti citees;
Su territorio se extendía desde Manahaim por todo Basán, todo el reino de Og y todas las ciudades de Jair en Basán: sesenta en total.
31 and half the part of Galaad, and Astoroth, and Edray, the citees of the rewme of Og, kyng of Basan; to the sones of Machir, sones of Manasses, and to half the part of the sones of Machir, bi her kynredis.
También incluía Galaad, Astarot y Edrei, las ciudades del rey Og en Basán. Esta fue la tierra asignada a los descendientes de Maquir, hijo de Manasés, para la mitad de ellos, por familias.
32 Moises departide this possessioun in the feeldi placis of Moab ouer Jordan, ayens Jericho, at the eest coost.
Estas fueron las asignaciones que hizo Moisés cuando estuvo en las llanuras de Moab, al otro lado del Jordán, al este de Jericó.
33 Forsothe he yaf not possessioun to the lynage of Leuy; for the Lord God himself of Israel is the possessioun of Leuy, as the Lord spak to hym.
Sin embargo, Moisés no asignó ninguna tierra a los levitas, porque el Señor, el Dios de Israel, les había prometido que él sería su asignación.
