Joshua 12

1 These ben the kyngis whiche the sones of Israel han smyte, and weldiden `the lond of hem, biyende Jordan, at the `risyng of the sunne, fro the stronde of Arnon `til to the hil of Hermon, and al the eest coost that biholdith the wildirnesse.

Dies sind die Könige des Landes, welche die Israeliten besiegt und deren Land sie in Besitz genommen haben: im Ostjordanlande (die Gebiete) vom Fluß Arnon an bis zum Hermongebirge nebst der ganzen Steppe östlich vom Jordan:

2 Seon, the kyng of Amorreis, that dwellide in Esebon, was lord fro Aroer, which is set on the brenke of the stronde of Arnon, and of the myddil part in the valey, and of half Galaad, til to the stronde of Jaboth, which is the terme of the sones of Amon, and fro the wildirnesse `til to the see of Ceneroth,

Sihon, der König der Amoriter, der in Hesbon seinen Sitz hatte; er herrschte von Aroer an, das am Ufer des Flusses Arnon liegt, und zwar von der Mitte des Flußtals an und über die Hälfte von Gilead bis zum Fluß Jabbok, der Grenze der Ammoniter,

und über das Jordantal bis an die Ostseite des Sees Genezareth und bis an die Ostseite des Meeres der Steppe, des Salzsees, nach Beth-Jesimoth hin und südwärts (über das Land) am Fuß der Abhänge des Pisgagebirges.

er herrschte über das Hermongebirge, über Salcha und ganz Basan bis an die Grenze der Gesuriter und Maachathiter und über die Hälfte von Gilead bis an das Gebiet Sihons, des Königs von Hesbon.

6 Moyses, the `seruaunt of the Lord, and the sones of Israel `smytiden hem; and Moises yaf `the lond of hem in to possessioun to Rubenytis and `to Gadditis and to half the lynage of Manaasses.

Mose, der Knecht des HERRN, und die Israeliten hatten sie besiegt, und Mose, der Knecht des HERRN, hatte ihr Gebiet den beiden Stämmen Ruben und Gad und dem halben Stamm Manasse zum Besitz gegeben.

7 These ben the kyngis of the lond, whiche Josue and the sones of Israel smytiden biyende Jordan, at the west coost, fro Algad in the feeld of Liban, `til to the hil whos part stieth in to Seir; and Josue yaf it in to possessioun to the lynagis of Israel, to ech his owne part,

Und dies sind die Könige des Landes, welche Josua und die Israeliten im Westjordanlande besiegt haben, von Baal-Gad im Libanontal an bis zu dem kahlen Gebirge, das nach Seir hin ansteigt, und deren Land Josua den israelitischen Stämmen zum Besitz überwies, jedem Stamme einen Teil,

im Berglande wie in der Niederung und im Jordantal, an den Bergabhängen wie in der Wüste und im Südlande, die (Gebiete der) Hethiter, Amoriter, Kanaanäer, Pherissiter, Hewiter und Jebusiter:
