1 Aftir these thingis Jhesus wente ouere the see of Galilee, that is Tiberias.

2 And a greet multitude suede hym; for thei sayn the tokenes, that he dide on hem that weren sijke.

3 Therfor Jhesus wente in to an hil, and sat there with hise disciplis.

4 And the paske was ful niy, a feeste dai of the Jewis.

5 Therfor whanne Jhesus hadde lift vp hise iyen, and hadde seyn, that a greet multitude cam to hym, he seith to Filip, Wherof schulen we bie looues, that these men ete?
Pea hanga hake ʻe Sisu hono fofonga, ʻo mamata ki he fuʻu tokolahi ʻoku haʻu kiate ia, pea lea ia kia Filipe, “Te tau fakatau ʻae mā mei fē, ke kai ʻekinautolu ni?”
6 But he seide this thing, temptynge hym; for he wiste what he was to do.

7 Filip answerde to hym, The looues of tweyn hundrid pans sufficen not to hem, that ech man take a litil what.

8 Oon of hise disciplis, Andrew, the brothir of Symount Petre,

9 seith to him, A child is here, that hath fyue barli looues and twei fischis; but what ben these among so manye?
“ʻOku ʻi heni ʻae tama, ʻoku ne maʻu ʻae foʻi mā paʻale ʻe nima, mo e ika siʻi ʻe ua: ka ko e hā ia ʻi he fuʻu tokolahi?”
10 Therfor Jhesus seith, Make ye hem sitte to the mete. And there was myche hey in the place. And so men saten to the mete, as `fyue thousynde in noumbre.
Pea tala ʻe Sisu, “Pule ke nofo ki lalo ʻae kau tangata.” Pea naʻe mohukuʻia ʻae potu. Pea nofo ki lalo ʻae kau tangata, naʻa nau toko nima afe nai.
11 And Jhesus took fyue looues, and whanne he hadde do thankyngis, he departide to men that saten to the mete, and also of the fischis, as myche as thei wolden.
Pea naʻe toʻo ʻe Sisu ʻae mā; pea ne fakafetaʻi, pea tufa ia ki he kau ākonga, kae [tufaki ]ʻe he kau ākonga kiate kinautolu naʻe nofo; pea [tufaki ]mo e ika ke ʻoua ke nau fiu.
12 And whanne thei weren fillid, he seide to hise disciplis, Gadir ye the relifs that ben left, that thei perischen not.
Pea kuo mākona ʻakinautolu, pea tala ʻe ia ki heʻene kau ākonga, “Tānaki hono toenga, kaeʻoua naʻa liʻaki ha meʻa.”
13 And so thei gadriden, and filliden twelue cofyns of relif of the fyue barli looues and twei fischis, that lefte to hem that hadden etun.
Ko ia naʻa nau tānaki ia, ʻo fakafonu ʻae kato ʻe hongofulu ma ua, ʻi he toenga mā paʻale ʻe nima, ka kuo hili ʻae kai ʻae kakai.
14 Therfor tho men, whanne thei hadden seyn the signe that he hadde don, seiden, For this is verili the profete, that is to come in to the world.
Pea ʻi he mamata ʻe he kau tangata ko ia ki he mana kuo fai ʻe Sisu, naʻa nau pehē, “Tā ko e moʻoni ko eni ʻae palōfita [naʻe pehē ]ʻe haʻu ki māmani.”
15 And whanne Jhesus hadde knowun, that thei weren to come to take hym, and make hym kyng, he fleiy `aloone eft in to an hille.
Pea kuo ʻilo ʻe Sisu te nau haʻu ʻo puke fakamālohi ia, ke fakanofo ia ko e tuʻi, naʻa ne toe ʻalu tokotaha pe ki ha moʻunga.
16 And whanne euentid was comun, his disciplis wenten doun to the see.
Pea kuo hoko ʻae efiafi, naʻe ʻalu ʻene kau ākonga ki tahi,
17 And thei wenten vp in to a boot, and thei camen ouer the see in to Cafarnaum. And derknessis weren maad thanne, and Jhesus was not come to hem.
ʻO heka vaka, pea taumuʻa ki Kapaneume. Pea kuo poʻuli, ka ʻoku teʻeki hoko mai ʻa Sisu kiate kinautolu.
18 And for a greet wynde blew, the see roos vp.
Pea naʻe tō ʻae fuʻu matangi pea peaua ʻae tahi.
19 Therfor whanne thei hadden rowid as fyue and twenti furlongis or thretti, thei seen Jhesus walkynge on the see, and to be neiy the boot; and thei dredden.
Pea hili ʻenau ʻaʻalo ʻi he maile ʻe tolu mo e toe, naʻa nau mamata kia Sisu ʻoku ʻeveʻeva ʻi he tahi, mo ʻunuʻunu mai ki he vaka: pea naʻa nau manavahē.
20 And he seide to hem, Y am; nyle ye drede.
Ka naʻe pehē ʻe ia kiate kinautolu, ‘Ko au pe; ʻoua ʻe manavahē.’
21 Therfor thei wolden take hym in to the boot, and anoon the boot was at the loond, to which thei wenten.
Pea naʻa nau maʻu loto fiefia ia ki he vaka; pea tau leva ʻae vaka ki he fonua naʻa nau folau ki ai.
22 On `the tother dai the puple, that stood ouer the see, say, that ther was noon other boot there but oon, and that Jhesu entride not with hise disciplis in to the boot, but hise disciplis aloone wenten.
Pea ko e ʻaho naʻa na feholoi, ʻi he mamata ʻae kakai naʻe tutuʻu ʻi he kauvai ʻe taha, naʻe ʻikai ha vaka ʻi ai ka ko ia pe naʻe heka ai ʻene kau ākonga, pea naʻe ʻikai ʻalu ʻa Sisu ki he vaka mo ʻene kau ākonga, ka naʻe folau ʻa ʻene kau ākonga pe;
23 But othere bootis camen fro Tiberias bisidis the place, where thei hadden eetun breed, and diden thankyngis to God.
(Ka naʻe haʻu ʻae ngaahi vaka kehe mei Taipiliō, ʻo ofi ki he potu naʻa nau kai mā ai, ʻi he hili ʻae fakafetaʻi ʻe he ʻEiki: )
24 Therfor whanne the puple hadde seyn, that Jhesu was not there, nether hise disciplis, thei wenten vp in to bootis, and camen to Cafarnaum, sekynge Jhesu.
Pea ʻi he mamata ʻae kakai ʻoku ʻikai ʻi ai ʻa Sisu, pe ko ʻene kau ākonga, naʻa nau heka vaka, pea haʻu ki Kapaneume, ʻo kumi ʻa Sisu.
25 And whanne thei hadden foundun hym ouer the see, thei seiden to hym, Rabi, hou come thou hidur?
Pea ʻi heʻenau ʻilo ia ʻi he kauvai ʻe taha, naʻa nau fehuʻi kiate ia, Lāpai, naʻa ke haʻu ʻanefē ki heni?
26 Jhesus answerde to hem, and seide, Treuli, treuli, Y seie to you, ye seken me, not for ye sayn the myraclis, but for ye eten of looues, and weren fillid.
Pea leaange ʻa Sisu kiate kinautolu, ʻo pehē, “Ko e moʻoni, ko e moʻoni, ʻoku ou tala kiate kimoutolu, ʻoku ʻikai te mou kumi au, koeʻuhi ko hoʻomou mamata ki he ngaahi mana, ka ko e meʻa ʻi hoʻomou kai ʻi he ngaahi foʻi mā, pea mākona.
27 Worche ye not mete that perischith, but that dwellith in to euerlastynge lijf, which mete mannys sone schal yyue to you; for God the fadir hath markid hym. (aiōnios )
ʻOua ʻe ngāue ki he meʻakai ʻoku ʻauha, ka ki he meʻakai ʻoku tolonga ki he moʻui taʻengata, ʻaia ʻe foaki ʻe he Foha ʻoe tangata kiate kimoutolu: he kuo fakaʻilonga ia ʻe he ʻOtua ko e Tamai.” (aiōnios )
28 Therfor thei seiden to hym, What schulen we do, that we worche the werkis of God?
Pea naʻa nau fehuʻi kiate ia, “Ko e hā ʻae ngaahi ngāue ʻoku totonu ke mau fai ki he ʻOtua?”
29 Jhesus answerde, and seide to hem, This is the werk of God, that ye bileue to hym, whom he sente.
Pea leaange ʻa Sisu, ʻo pehē kiate kinautolu, “Ko eni ʻae ngāue ki he ʻOtua, koeʻuhi ke mou tui kiate ia kuo ne fekau.”
30 Therfor thei seiden to hym, What tokene thanne doist thou, that we seen, and bileue to thee? what worchist thou?
Pea naʻa nau pehē ai kiate ia, “Ko e hā ha fakaʻilonga ʻoku ke fai, koeʻuhi ke mau mamata, kae tui kiate koe? Ko e hā ʻoku ke fai?
31 Oure fadris eeten manna in desert, as it is writun, He yaf to hem breed fro heuene to ete.
Naʻe kai ʻae mana ʻe heʻemau ngaahi tamai ʻi he toafa; ʻo hangē ko ia kuo tohi, ‘Naʻe foaki ʻe ia ʻae mā mei he langi kiate kinautolu ke nau kai.’”
32 Therfor Jhesus seith to hem, Treuli, treuli, Y seie to you, Moyses yaf you not breed fro heuene, but my fadir yyueth you veri breed fro heuene;
Pea lea ʻa Sisu kiate kinautolu, “Ko e moʻoni, ko e moʻoni, ʻoku ou tala kiate kimoutolu, naʻe ʻikai foaki ʻe Mōsese ʻae mā ko ia mei he langi kiate kimoutolu; ka ʻoku foaki ʻe heʻeku Tamai ʻae mā moʻoni mei he langi kiate kimoutolu.
33 for it is very breed that cometh doun fro heuene, and yyueth lijf to the world.
He ko ia ʻae mā ʻae ʻOtua ʻaia ʻoku ʻalu hifo mei he langi, ʻo foaki ʻae moʻui ki māmani.”
34 Therfor thei seiden to hym, Lord, euere yyue vs this breed.
Pea naʻa nau pehē kiate ia, “ʻEiki, foaki maʻuaipē ʻae mā ni kiate kimautolu.”
35 And Jhesus seide to hem, Y am breed of lijf; he that cometh to me, schal not hungur; he that bileueth in me, schal neuere thirste.
Pea talaange ʻe Sisu kiate kinautolu, “Ko au ko e mā ʻoe moʻui: ko ia ʻoku haʻu kiate au, ʻe ʻikai ʻaupito fiekaia; pea ko ia ʻoku tui kiate au, ʻe ʻikai ʻaupito fieinu ia.
36 But Y seid to you, that ye han seyn me, and ye bileueden not.
Ka naʻaku tala kiate kimoutolu, Kuo mou mamata foki kiate au, kae ʻikai tui.
37 Al thing, that the fadir yyueth to me, schal come to me; and Y schal not caste hym out, that cometh to me.
Ko ia kotoa pē ʻoku foaki ʻe he Tamai kiate au, ʻe haʻu ia kiate au; pea ko ia ʻoku haʻu kiate au, ʻe ʻikai ʻaupito teu siʻaki.
38 For Y cam doun fro heuene, not that Y do my wille, but the wille of hym that sente me.
Naʻe ʻikai te u ʻalu hifo mei he langi ke fai hoku loto ʻoʻoku, ka ko e finangalo ʻo ia naʻa ne fekauʻi au.
39 And this is the wille of the fadir that sente me, that al thing that the fadir yaf me, Y leese not of it, but ayen reise it in the laste dai.
Pea ko e finangalo eni ʻoe Tamai naʻa ne fekau au, koeʻuhi ko ia kotoa pē kuo ne foaki kiate au, ke ʻoua naʻa mole ha tokotaha, kae fokotuʻu ia ʻi he ʻaho fakamui.
40 And this is the wille of my fadir that sente me, that ech man that seeth the sone, and bileueth in hym, haue euerlastynge lijf; and Y schal ayen reyse hym in the laste dai. (aiōnios )
Pea ko e finangalo eni ʻo ia naʻa ne fekau au, koeʻuhi ko ia fulipē ʻoku mamata ki he ʻAlo, pea tui kiate ia, ke ne maʻu ʻae moʻui taʻengata; pea te u fokotuʻu ia ʻi he ʻaho fakamui.” (aiōnios )
41 Therfor Jewis grutchiden of hym, for he hadde seid, Y am breed that cam doun fro heuene.
Pea naʻe lāunga ai ʻae kakai Siu kiate ia, ko e meʻa ʻi heʻene pehē, “Ko au ko e mā naʻe ʻalu hifo mei he langi.”
42 And thei seiden, Whether this is not Jhesus, the sone of Joseph, whos fadir and modir we han knowun. Hou thanne seith this, That Y cam doun fro heuene?
Pea naʻa nau pehē, “ʻIkai ko Sisu eni, ko e foha ʻo Siosefa, ko e tamai mo e faʻē ʻaʻana ʻoku tau ʻilo? Pea ʻoku fēfeeʻi ʻene pehē, Naʻaku ʻalu hifo mei he langi?”
43 Therfor Jhesus answerde, and seide to hem, Nyle ye grutche togidere.
Ko ia naʻe leaange ʻa Sisu, ʻo ne pehē kiate kinautolu, “ʻOua te mou felāungaʻaki ʻiate kimoutolu.
44 No man may come to me, but if the fadir that sente me, drawe hym; and Y schal ayen reise hym in the laste dai. It is writun in prophetis,
ʻE ʻikai ha tangata ʻe faʻa haʻu kiate au, ʻo kapau ʻe ʻikai tohoaki ia ʻe he Tamai ʻaia naʻa ne fekauʻi au: pea te u fokotuʻu ia ʻi he ʻaho fakamui.
45 And alle men schulen be able for to be tauyt `of God. Ech man that herde of the fadir, and hath lerned, cometh to me.
Kuo tohi ʻi he kau palōfita, ‘Pea ʻe akonekina ʻakinautolu kotoa pē ʻi he ʻOtua.’ Ko ia ko e tangata kotoa pē kuo fanongo, pea kuo akonekina ʻi he Tamai, ʻoku haʻu ia kiate au.
46 Not for ony man hath sey the fadir, but this that is of God, hath sey the fadir.
ʻOku ʻikai ha tangata kuo ne mamata ki he Tamai: ka ko ia pe ʻoku mei he ʻOtua, kuo mamata ia ki he Tamai.
47 Sotheli, sotheli, Y seie to you, he that bileueth in me, hath euerlastynge lijf. (aiōnios )
Ko e moʻoni, ko e moʻoni, ʻoku ou tala kiate kimoutolu, Ko ia ʻoku tui kiate au, ʻoku ʻiate ia ʻae moʻui taʻengata. (aiōnios )
Ko au ko e mā ko ia ʻoe moʻui.
49 Youre fadris eeten manna in desert, and ben deed.
Naʻe kai ʻae mana ʻe hoʻomou ngaahi tamai ʻi he toafa, ka naʻa nau mate.
50 This is breed comynge doun fro heuene, that if ony man ete therof, he die not.
Ko eni ʻae mā ʻoku ʻalu hifo mei he langi, ʻaia ʻoku kai ʻe ha tangata, pea ʻikai mate.
51 Y am lyuynge breed, that cam doun fro heuene. If ony man ete of this breed, he schal lyue withouten ende. And the breed that Y schal yyue, is my fleisch for the lijf of the world. (aiōn )
Ko au ko e mā moʻui kuo ʻalu hifo mei he langi: kapau ʻe kai ʻe ha tangata ʻae mā ni, ʻe moʻui taʻengata ia: pea ko e mā ʻoku ou foaki ko hoku sino, ʻaia te u foaki ke moʻui ai ʻa māmani.” (aiōn )
52 Therfor the Jewis chidden togidere, and seiden, Hou may this yyue to vs his fleisch to ete?
Ko ia naʻe fakakikihi ai ʻae kakai Siu ʻiate kinautolu, ʻo pehē, “ʻE faʻa foaki fēfeeʻi ʻe he tangata ni hono sino ke tau kai?”
53 Therfor Jhesus seith to hem, Treuli, treuli, Y seie to you, but ye eten the fleisch of mannus sone, and drenken his blood, ye schulen not haue lijf in you.
Pea lea ʻa Sisu kiate kinautolu, “Ko e moʻoni, ko e moʻoni, ʻoku ou tala kiate kimoutolu, Kapau ʻe ʻikai te mou kai ʻae sino ʻoe Foha ʻoe tangata, mo inu hono toto, ʻoku ʻikai ha moʻui ʻiate kimoutolu.
54 He that etith my fleisch, and drynkith my blood, hath euerlastynge lijf, and Y schal ayen reise hym in the laste dai. (aiōnios )
Ko ia ʻoku ne kai hoku sino, mo inu hoku toto, ʻoku ʻiate ia ʻae moʻui taʻengata; pea te u fokotuʻu ia ʻi he ʻaho fakamui. (aiōnios )
55 For my fleisch is veri mete, and my blood is very drynk.
He ko hoku sino ko e meʻakai moʻoni, pea ko hoku toto ko e inu moʻoni.
56 He that etith my fleisch, and drynkith my blood, dwellith in me, and Y in hym.
Ko ia ʻoku kai hoku sino, mo inu hoku toto, ʻoku nofo ia ʻiate au, mo au ʻiate ia.
57 As my fadir lyuynge sente me, and Y lyue for the fadir, and he that etith me, he schal lyue for me.
ʻO hangē ʻoku moʻui ʻae Tamai naʻa ne fekau au, pea ʻoku ou moʻui ʻi he Tamai: ʻoku pehē, ko ia ʻoku ne kai ʻiate au, ko ia pe ʻe moʻui ʻiate au.
58 This is breed, that cam doun fro heuene. Not as youre fadris eten manna, and ben deed; he that etith this breed, schal lyue withouten ende. (aiōn )
Ko eni ʻae mā ko ia naʻe ʻalu hifo mei he langi: ʻo ʻikai tatau mo e kai ʻae mana ʻe hoʻomou ngaahi tamai, pea nau mate: ko ia ʻoku kai ʻae mā ni, ʻe moʻui ia ʻo taʻengata.” (aiōn )
59 He seide these thingis in the synagoge, techynge in Cafarnaum.
Naʻe lea ʻaki ʻe ia ʻae ngaahi meʻa ni ʻi he falelotu, ʻi heʻene akonaki ʻi Kapaneume.
60 Therfor many of hise disciplis herynge, seiden, This word is hard, who may here it?
Pea ʻi he fanongo ki ai ʻene kau ākonga tokolahi, naʻa nau pehē, “Ko e lea faingataʻa eni: ko hai ʻoku faʻa ʻilo ia?”
61 But Jhesus witynge at hym silf, that hise disciplis grutchiden of this thing, seide to hem, This thing sclaundrith you?
Pea ʻilo ʻe Sisu ʻiate ia ʻoku lāunga ai ʻene kau ākonga, pea lea ia kiate kinautolu, “ʻOku tūkia ʻakimoutolu ʻi he meʻa ni?
62 Therfor if ye seen mannus sone stiynge, where he was bifor?
Pea ʻe fēfē ʻoka mou ka mamata ki he Foha ʻoe tangata ʻoku ʻalu hake ki he potu naʻe ʻi ai ia ʻi muʻa?
63 It is the spirit that quykeneth, the fleisch profitith no thing; the wordis that Y haue spokun to you, ben spirit and lijf.
Ko e laumālie ia ʻoku ne fakamoʻui; ʻoku ʻikai hano ʻaonga ʻoe sino: ko e lea ʻoku ou lea ʻaki kiate kimoutolu, ko e laumālie ia pea mo e moʻui.
64 But ther ben summe of you that bileuen not. For Jhesus wiste fro the bigynnynge, which weren bileuynge, and who was to bitraye hym.
Ka ʻoku ai homou niʻihi ʻoku ʻikai tui. He naʻe ʻilo ʻe Sisu mei he kamataʻanga ʻakinautolu naʻe ʻikai tui, mo ia te ne lavakiʻi ia.
65 And he seide, Therfor Y seide to you, that no man may come to me, but it were youun to hym of my fadir.
ʻO ne pehē, “Ko ia ne u pehē ai kiate kimoutolu, ʻOku ʻikai faʻa haʻu ha tangata kiate au, ka ʻi hono foaki kiate ia mei heʻeku Tamai.”
66 Fro this tyme many of hise disciplis wenten abak, and wenten not now with hym.
Pea talu mei ai naʻe foki ki mui ʻae tokolahi ʻo ʻene kau ākonga, ʻo ʻikai toe ʻalu mo ia.
67 Therfor Jhesus seide to the twelue, Whether ye wolen also go awei?
Pea lea ai ʻa Sisu ki he toko hongofulu ma toko ua, “ʻE ʻalu mo kimoutolu foki?
68 And Symount Petre answeride to hym, Lord, to whom schulen we gon? Thou hast wordis of euerlastynge lijf; (aiōnios )
Pea leaange ʻa Saimone Pita kiate ia, “ʻEiki, te mau ʻalu kia hai? ʻOku ʻiate koe ʻae ngaahi lea ʻoe moʻui taʻengata. (aiōnios )
69 and we bileuen, and han knowun, that thou art Crist, the sone of God.
Pea ʻoku mau tui pea ʻilo pau ko koe ko e Kalaisi, ko e ʻAlo ʻoe ʻOtua moʻui.”
70 Therfor Jhesus answerde to hem, Whether Y chees not you twelue, and oon of you is a feend?
Pea pehē ʻe Sisu kiate kinautolu, “ʻIkai naʻaku fili ʻakimoutolu ko e toko hongofulu ma toko ua, pea ko homou tokotaha ko e tēvolo?”
71 And he seide this of Judas of Symount Scarioth, for this was to bitraye hym, whanne he was oon of the twelue.
Ko ʻene lea ia kia Siutasi ʻIsikaliote, ko e foha ʻo Saimone: he ko ia te ne lavakiʻi ia, ko e taha ia ʻoe toko hongofulu ma toko ua.
