John 6
1 Aftir these thingis Jhesus wente ouere the see of Galilee, that is Tiberias.
După acestea, Isus s-a dus dincolo de marea Galileii, care este marea Tiberiadei.
2 And a greet multitude suede hym; for thei sayn the tokenes, that he dide on hem that weren sijke.
Și o mare mulțime îl urma pentru că vedeau miracolele lui pe care le făcea peste cei ce erau bolnavi.
3 Therfor Jhesus wente in to an hil, and sat there with hise disciplis.
Și Isus a urcat pe munte și acolo s-a așezat cu discipolii săi.
4 And the paske was ful niy, a feeste dai of the Jewis.
Și paștele, sărbătoarea iudeilor, era aproape.
5 Therfor whanne Jhesus hadde lift vp hise iyen, and hadde seyn, that a greet multitude cam to hym, he seith to Filip, Wherof schulen we bie looues, that these men ete?
Atunci Isus, ridicând ochii și văzând că o mare mulțime a venit la el, i-a spus lui Filip: De unde să cumpărăm pâine, ca aceștia să mănânce?
6 But he seide this thing, temptynge hym; for he wiste what he was to do.
Și spunea aceasta ca să îl încerce, fiindcă el știa ce avea să facă.
7 Filip answerde to hym, The looues of tweyn hundrid pans sufficen not to hem, that ech man take a litil what.
Filip i-a răspuns: Pâine de două sute de dinari nu le este suficientă, ca fiecare din ei să ia câte puțin.
8 Oon of hise disciplis, Andrew, the brothir of Symount Petre,
Unul dintre discipolii săi, Andrei, fratele lui Simon Petru, i-a spus:
9 seith to him, A child is here, that hath fyue barli looues and twei fischis; but what ben these among so manye?
Este aici un băiețel care are cinci pâini de orz și doi peștișori; dar ce sunt acestea la atâția?
10 Therfor Jhesus seith, Make ye hem sitte to the mete. And there was myche hey in the place. And so men saten to the mete, as `fyue thousynde in noumbre.
Și Isus a spus: Faceți oamenii să se așeze. Și în locul acela era multă iarbă. Atunci bărbații s-au așezat, în număr de aproape cinci mii.
11 And Jhesus took fyue looues, and whanne he hadde do thankyngis, he departide to men that saten to the mete, and also of the fischis, as myche as thei wolden.
Și Isus a luat pâinile și după ce a adus mulțumiri, [le]-a împărțit discipolilor, iar discipolii celor ce ședeau jos; la fel și din pești cât au dorit.
12 And whanne thei weren fillid, he seide to hise disciplis, Gadir ye the relifs that ben left, that thei perischen not.
După ce s-au săturat, Isus le-a spus discipolilor săi: Adunați frânturile care rămân, ca nu cumva ceva să se piardă.
13 And so thei gadriden, and filliden twelue cofyns of relif of the fyue barli looues and twei fischis, that lefte to hem that hadden etun.
Așadar, au adunat și au umplut douăsprezece coșuri cu frânturile celor cinci pâini de orz care au rămas în plus celor ce au mâncat.
14 Therfor tho men, whanne thei hadden seyn the signe that he hadde don, seiden, For this is verili the profete, that is to come in to the world.
Atunci oamenii aceia, când au văzut miracolul pe care îl făcuse Isus, au spus: Într-adevăr acesta este profetul ce trebuia să vină în lume.
15 And whanne Jhesus hadde knowun, that thei weren to come to take hym, and make hym kyng, he fleiy `aloone eft in to an hille.
De aceea Isus, știind că sunt gata să vină să îl ia cu forța să îl facă împărat, s-a dus din nou pe munte, numai el singur.
16 And whanne euentid was comun, his disciplis wenten doun to the see.
Iar când s-a făcut seară, discipolii lui au coborât la mare.
17 And thei wenten vp in to a boot, and thei camen ouer the see in to Cafarnaum. And derknessis weren maad thanne, and Jhesus was not come to hem.
Și s-au urcat într-o corabie și au trecut marea spre Capernaum. Și deja se făcuse întuneric și Isus tot nu venise la ei.
18 And for a greet wynde blew, the see roos vp.
Și marea s-a întărâtat pentru că sufla un vânt puternic.
19 Therfor whanne thei hadden rowid as fyue and twenti furlongis or thretti, thei seen Jhesus walkynge on the see, and to be neiy the boot; and thei dredden.
Și după ce au vâslit cam douăzeci și cinci sau treizeci de stadii, ei îl văd pe Isus umblând pe mare și apropiindu-se de corabie, și s-au temut.
20 And he seide to hem, Y am; nyle ye drede.
Dar el le-a spus: Eu sunt; nu vă temeți.
21 Therfor thei wolden take hym in to the boot, and anoon the boot was at the loond, to which thei wenten.
Atunci cu voie bună l-au primit în corabie; și îndată corabia a sosit la țărmul spre care mergeau.
22 On `the tother dai the puple, that stood ouer the see, say, that ther was noon other boot there but oon, and that Jhesu entride not with hise disciplis in to the boot, but hise disciplis aloone wenten.
A doua zi, când mulțimea care stătea de cealaltă parte a mării a văzut că acolo nu era nicio altă corabie decât aceea în care se urcaseră discipolii lui, și că Isus nu intrase cu discipolii lui în corabie, ci discipolii plecaseră singuri cu ea;
23 But othere bootis camen fro Tiberias bisidis the place, where thei hadden eetun breed, and diden thankyngis to God.
(Dar din Tiberiada au venit alte corăbii aproape de locul unde mâncaseră pâinea, după ce Domnul mulțumise).
24 Therfor whanne the puple hadde seyn, that Jhesu was not there, nether hise disciplis, thei wenten vp in to bootis, and camen to Cafarnaum, sekynge Jhesu.
Când a văzut așadar mulțimea că nici Isus, nici discipolii lui nu erau acolo, au urcat și ei în corăbii și au venit la Capernaum, căutând pe Isus.
25 And whanne thei hadden foundun hym ouer the see, thei seiden to hym, Rabi, hou come thou hidur?
Și când l-au găsit de cealaltă parte a mării, i-au spus: Rabi, când ai venit aici?
26 Jhesus answerde to hem, and seide, Treuli, treuli, Y seie to you, ye seken me, not for ye sayn the myraclis, but for ye eten of looues, and weren fillid.
Isus le-a răspuns și a zis: Adevărat, adevărat vă spun: Voi mă căutați nu pentru că ați văzut miracolele, ci pentru că ați mâncat din pâini și v-ați săturat.
27 Worche ye not mete that perischith, but that dwellith in to euerlastynge lijf, which mete mannys sone schal yyue to you; for God the fadir hath markid hym. (aiōnios g166)
Lucrați nu pentru mâncarea care piere, ci pentru mâncarea care rămâne pentru viața veșnică pe care Fiul omului v-o va da; fiindcă pe el l-a sigilat Dumnezeu Tatăl. (aiōnios g166)
28 Therfor thei seiden to hym, What schulen we do, that we worche the werkis of God?
Atunci i-au spus: Ce să facem ca să putem lucra faptele lui Dumnezeu?
29 Jhesus answerde, and seide to hem, This is the werk of God, that ye bileue to hym, whom he sente.
Isus a răspuns și le-a zis: Aceasta este lucrarea lui Dumnezeu: să credeți în acela pe care l-a trimis el.
30 Therfor thei seiden to hym, What tokene thanne doist thou, that we seen, and bileue to thee? what worchist thou?
De aceea i-au spus: Așadar ce semn faci tu, ca să vedem și să te credem? Ce lucrezi tu?
31 Oure fadris eeten manna in desert, as it is writun, He yaf to hem breed fro heuene to ete.
Părinții noștri au mâncat mană în pustie; așa cum este scris: Le-a dat pâine din cer să mănânce.
32 Therfor Jhesus seith to hem, Treuli, treuli, Y seie to you, Moyses yaf you not breed fro heuene, but my fadir yyueth you veri breed fro heuene;
Atunci Isus le-a spus: Adevărat, adevărat vă spun: Nu Moise v-a dat acea pâine din cer, ci Tatăl meu vă dă adevărata pâine din cer.
33 for it is very breed that cometh doun fro heuene, and yyueth lijf to the world.
Fiindcă pâinea lui Dumnezeu este cel care se coboară din cer și dă viață lumii.
34 Therfor thei seiden to hym, Lord, euere yyue vs this breed.
Atunci i-au spus: Doamne, dă-ne totdeauna această pâine.
35 And Jhesus seide to hem, Y am breed of lijf; he that cometh to me, schal not hungur; he that bileueth in me, schal neuere thirste.
Și Isus le-a spus: Eu sunt pâinea vieții; cine vine la mine nu va flămânzi niciodată; și cine crede în mine, nicidecum nu va înseta niciodată.
36 But Y seid to you, that ye han seyn me, and ye bileueden not.
Dar v-am spus că: M-ați și văzut și tot nu credeți.
37 Al thing, that the fadir yyueth to me, schal come to me; and Y schal not caste hym out, that cometh to me.
Tot ce îmi dă Tatăl va veni la mine; și pe cel ce vine la mine nicidecum nu îl voi arunca afară;
38 For Y cam doun fro heuene, not that Y do my wille, but the wille of hym that sente me.
Pentru că am coborât din cer nu ca să fac voia mea, ci voia celui ce m-a trimis.
39 And this is the wille of the fadir that sente me, that al thing that the fadir yaf me, Y leese not of it, but ayen reise it in the laste dai.
Și aceasta este voia Tatălui ce m-a trimis, ca din tot ce mi-a dat să nu pierd nimic, ci să îl înviez în ziua de apoi.
40 And this is the wille of my fadir that sente me, that ech man that seeth the sone, and bileueth in hym, haue euerlastynge lijf; and Y schal ayen reyse hym in the laste dai. (aiōnios g166)
Și aceasta este voia celui ce m-a trimis, ca oricine care vede pe Fiul și crede în el, să aibă viață veșnică; și eu îl voi învia în ziua de apoi. (aiōnios g166)
41 Therfor Jewis grutchiden of hym, for he hadde seid, Y am breed that cam doun fro heuene.
Atunci iudeii cârteau despre el, pentru că a spus: Eu sunt pâinea care s-a coborât din cer.
42 And thei seiden, Whether this is not Jhesus, the sone of Joseph, whos fadir and modir we han knowun. Hou thanne seith this, That Y cam doun fro heuene?
Și spuneau: Nu este acest Isus, fiul lui Iosif, al cărui tată și mamă îi cunoaștem? Cum de spune el atunci: Am coborât din cer?
43 Therfor Jhesus answerde, and seide to hem, Nyle ye grutche togidere.
De aceea Isus a răspuns și le-a zis: Nu cârtiți între voi.
44 No man may come to me, but if the fadir that sente me, drawe hym; and Y schal ayen reise hym in the laste dai. It is writun in prophetis,
Nimeni nu poate veni la mine decât dacă Tatăl care m-a trimis îl atrage; și eu îl voi învia în ziua de apoi.
45 And alle men schulen be able for to be tauyt `of God. Ech man that herde of the fadir, and hath lerned, cometh to me.
Este scris în profeți: Și toți vor fi învățați de Dumnezeu. Așadar, fiecare om care a auzit și a învățat de la Tatăl, vine la mine.
46 Not for ony man hath sey the fadir, but this that is of God, hath sey the fadir.
Nu că cineva a văzut pe Tatăl, afară de acela care este de la Dumnezeu; el l-a văzut pe Tatăl.
Adevărat, adevărat vă spun: Cel ce crede în mine are viață veșnică. (aiōnios g166)
48 Y am breed of lijf.
Eu sunt pâinea vieții.
49 Youre fadris eeten manna in desert, and ben deed.
Părinții voștri au mâncat mană în pustie și au murit.
50 This is breed comynge doun fro heuene, that if ony man ete therof, he die not.
Aceasta este pâinea care coboară din cer, ca să mănânce din ea oricine și să nu moară.
51 Y am lyuynge breed, that cam doun fro heuene. If ony man ete of this breed, he schal lyue withouten ende. And the breed that Y schal yyue, is my fleisch for the lijf of the world. (aiōn g165)
Eu sunt pâinea vie care a coborât din cer; dacă mănâncă cineva din această pâine, va trăi pentru totdeauna; și pâinea pe care o voi da eu este carnea mea, pe care o voi da pentru viața lumii. (aiōn g165)
52 Therfor the Jewis chidden togidere, and seiden, Hou may this yyue to vs his fleisch to ete?
De aceea iudeii se certau între ei, spunând: Cum poate acest om să ne dea carnea lui să o mâncăm?
53 Therfor Jhesus seith to hem, Treuli, treuli, Y seie to you, but ye eten the fleisch of mannus sone, and drenken his blood, ye schulen not haue lijf in you.
Atunci Isus le-a spus: Adevărat, adevărat vă spun: Dacă nu mâncați carnea Fiului omului și nu beți sângele lui, nu aveți viață în voi.
54 He that etith my fleisch, and drynkith my blood, hath euerlastynge lijf, and Y schal ayen reise hym in the laste dai. (aiōnios g166)
Cine carnea mea o mănâncă și bea sângele meu are viață eternă, și eu îl voi învia în ziua de apoi. (aiōnios g166)
55 For my fleisch is veri mete, and my blood is very drynk.
Căci carnea mea este într-adevăr mâncare, și sângele meu este într-adevăr băutură.
56 He that etith my fleisch, and drynkith my blood, dwellith in me, and Y in hym.
Cine carnea mea o mănâncă și bea sângele meu locuiește în mine, și eu în el.
57 As my fadir lyuynge sente me, and Y lyue for the fadir, and he that etith me, he schal lyue for me.
Așa cum Tatăl cel viu m-a trimis și eu trăiesc prin Tatăl, tot așa cel care mă mănâncă, va trăi și el prin mine.
58 This is breed, that cam doun fro heuene. Not as youre fadris eten manna, and ben deed; he that etith this breed, schal lyue withouten ende. (aiōn g165)
Aceasta este pâinea care a coborât din cer, nu așa cum au mâncat părinții voștri mană și au murit; cel ce mănâncă din pâinea aceasta va trăi pentru totdeauna. (aiōn g165)
59 He seide these thingis in the synagoge, techynge in Cafarnaum.
Acestea le-a spus în sinagogă pe când îi învăța în Capernaum.
60 Therfor many of hise disciplis herynge, seiden, This word is hard, who may here it?
De aceea mulți dintre discipolii lui când au auzit, au spus: Greu este cuvântul acesta; cine îl poate asculta?
61 But Jhesus witynge at hym silf, that hise disciplis grutchiden of this thing, seide to hem, This thing sclaundrith you?
Dar Isus, cunoscând în el însuși că discipolii lui cârteau despre aceasta, le-a spus: Aceasta vă poticnește?
62 Therfor if ye seen mannus sone stiynge, where he was bifor?
Dar dacă l-ați vedea pe Fiul omului urcându-se unde era mai înainte?
63 It is the spirit that quykeneth, the fleisch profitith no thing; the wordis that Y haue spokun to you, ben spirit and lijf.
Duhul este cel care dă viață; carnea nu folosește la nimic; cuvintele pe care vi le spun eu, sunt duh și sunt viață.
64 But ther ben summe of you that bileuen not. For Jhesus wiste fro the bigynnynge, which weren bileuynge, and who was to bitraye hym.
Dar sunt unii dintre voi care nu cred. Fiindcă Isus știa de la început cine erau cei care nu au crezut și cine este cel care îl va trăda.
65 And he seide, Therfor Y seide to you, that no man may come to me, but it were youun to hym of my fadir.
Și spunea: Din această cauză v-am spus că nimeni nu poate veni la mine, decât dacă i-a fost dat de Tatăl meu.
66 Fro this tyme many of hise disciplis wenten abak, and wenten not now with hym.
De atunci mulți dintre discipolii lui au mers înapoi și nu mai umblau cu el.
67 Therfor Jhesus seide to the twelue, Whether ye wolen also go awei?
Atunci Isus a spus celor doisprezece: Nu doriți și voi să plecați?
68 And Symount Petre answeride to hym, Lord, to whom schulen we gon? Thou hast wordis of euerlastynge lijf; (aiōnios g166)
Atunci Simon Petru i-a răspuns: Doamne, la cine să ne ducem? Tu ai cuvintele vieții eterne. (aiōnios g166)
69 and we bileuen, and han knowun, that thou art Crist, the sone of God.
Și noi credem și suntem siguri că tu ești Cristosul, Fiul Dumnezeului cel viu.
70 Therfor Jhesus answerde to hem, Whether Y chees not you twelue, and oon of you is a feend?
Isus le-a răspuns: Nu v-am ales eu pe voi cei doisprezece? Și unul dintre voi este diavol?
71 And he seide this of Judas of Symount Scarioth, for this was to bitraye hym, whanne he was oon of the twelue.
Și vorbea despre Iuda Iscariot, al lui Simon; fiindcă el avea să îl trădeze, fiind unul dintre cei doisprezece.
