John 6
1 Aftir these thingis Jhesus wente ouere the see of Galilee, that is Tiberias.
Darnach fuhr Jesus weg über das Meer an der Stadt Tiberias in Galiläa.
2 And a greet multitude suede hym; for thei sayn the tokenes, that he dide on hem that weren sijke.
Und es zog ihm viel Volks nach, darum daß sie die Zeichen sahen, die er an den Kranken tat.
3 Therfor Jhesus wente in to an hil, and sat there with hise disciplis.
Jesus aber ging hinauf auf einen Berg und setzte sich daselbst mit seinen Jüngern.
4 And the paske was ful niy, a feeste dai of the Jewis.
Es war aber nahe Ostern, der Juden Fest.
5 Therfor whanne Jhesus hadde lift vp hise iyen, and hadde seyn, that a greet multitude cam to hym, he seith to Filip, Wherof schulen we bie looues, that these men ete?
Da hob Jesus seine Augen auf und sieht, daß viel Volks zu ihm kommt, und spricht zu Philippus: Wo kaufen wir Brot, daß diese essen?
6 But he seide this thing, temptynge hym; for he wiste what he was to do.
(Das sagte er aber, ihn zu versuchen; denn er wußte wohl, was er tun wollte.)
7 Filip answerde to hym, The looues of tweyn hundrid pans sufficen not to hem, that ech man take a litil what.
Philippus antwortete ihm: Für zweihundert Groschen Brot ist nicht genug unter sie, daß ein jeglicher unter ihnen ein wenig nehme.
8 Oon of hise disciplis, Andrew, the brothir of Symount Petre,
Spricht zu ihm einer seiner Jünger, Andreas, der Bruder des Simon Petrus:
9 seith to him, A child is here, that hath fyue barli looues and twei fischis; but what ben these among so manye?
Es ist ein Knabe hier, der hat fünf Gerstenbrote und zwei Fische; aber was ist das unter so viele?
10 Therfor Jhesus seith, Make ye hem sitte to the mete. And there was myche hey in the place. And so men saten to the mete, as `fyue thousynde in noumbre.
Jesus aber sprach: Schaffet, daß sich das Volk lagert. Es war aber viel Gras an dem Ort. Da lagerten sich bei fünftausend Mann.
11 And Jhesus took fyue looues, and whanne he hadde do thankyngis, he departide to men that saten to the mete, and also of the fischis, as myche as thei wolden.
Jesus aber nahm die Brote, dankte und gab sie den Jüngern, die Jünger aber denen, die sich gelagert hatten; desgleichen auch von den Fischen, wieviel sie wollten.
12 And whanne thei weren fillid, he seide to hise disciplis, Gadir ye the relifs that ben left, that thei perischen not.
Da sie aber satt waren, sprach er zu seinen Jüngern: Sammelt die übrigen Brocken, daß nichts umkommt.
13 And so thei gadriden, and filliden twelue cofyns of relif of the fyue barli looues and twei fischis, that lefte to hem that hadden etun.
Da sammelten sie und füllten zwölf Körbe mit Brocken von den fünf Gerstenbroten, die übrig blieben denen, die gespeist worden.
14 Therfor tho men, whanne thei hadden seyn the signe that he hadde don, seiden, For this is verili the profete, that is to come in to the world.
Da nun die Menschen das Zeichen sahen, das Jesus tat, sprachen sie: Das ist wahrlich der Prophet, der in die Welt kommen soll.
15 And whanne Jhesus hadde knowun, that thei weren to come to take hym, and make hym kyng, he fleiy `aloone eft in to an hille.
Da Jesus nun merkte, daß sie kommen würden und ihn haschen, daß sie ihn zum König machten, entwich er abermals auf den Berg, er selbst allein.
16 And whanne euentid was comun, his disciplis wenten doun to the see.
Am Abend aber gingen die Jünger hinab an das Meer
17 And thei wenten vp in to a boot, and thei camen ouer the see in to Cafarnaum. And derknessis weren maad thanne, and Jhesus was not come to hem.
und traten in das Schiff und kamen über das Meer gen Kapernaum. Und es war schon finster geworden, und Jesus war nicht zu ihnen gekommen.
18 And for a greet wynde blew, the see roos vp.
Und das Meer erhob sich von einem großen Winde.
19 Therfor whanne thei hadden rowid as fyue and twenti furlongis or thretti, thei seen Jhesus walkynge on the see, and to be neiy the boot; and thei dredden.
Da sie nun gerudert hatten bei fünfundzwanzig oder dreißig Feld Wegs, sahen sie Jesum auf dem Meere dahergehen und nahe zum Schiff kommen; und sie fürchteten sich.
20 And he seide to hem, Y am; nyle ye drede.
Er aber sprach zu ihnen: Ich bin's; fürchtet euch nicht!
21 Therfor thei wolden take hym in to the boot, and anoon the boot was at the loond, to which thei wenten.
Da wollten sie ihn in das Schiff nehmen; und alsbald war das Schiff am Lande, da sie hin fuhren.
22 On `the tother dai the puple, that stood ouer the see, say, that ther was noon other boot there but oon, and that Jhesu entride not with hise disciplis in to the boot, but hise disciplis aloone wenten.
Des anderen Tages sah das Volk, das diesseit des Meeres stand, daß kein anderes Schiff daselbst war denn das eine, darin seine Jünger getreten waren, und daß Jesus nicht mit seinen Jüngern in das Schiff getreten war, sondern allein seine Jünger waren weggefahren.
23 But othere bootis camen fro Tiberias bisidis the place, where thei hadden eetun breed, and diden thankyngis to God.
Es kamen aber andere Schiffe von Tiberias nahe zur Stätte, da sie das Brot gegessen hatten durch des HERRN Danksagung.
24 Therfor whanne the puple hadde seyn, that Jhesu was not there, nether hise disciplis, thei wenten vp in to bootis, and camen to Cafarnaum, sekynge Jhesu.
Da nun das Volk sah, daß Jesus nicht da war noch seine Jünger, traten sie auch in Schiffe und kamen gen Kapernaum und suchten Jesum.
25 And whanne thei hadden foundun hym ouer the see, thei seiden to hym, Rabi, hou come thou hidur?
Und da sie ihn fanden jenseit des Meeres, sprachen sie zu ihm: Rabbi, wann bist du hergekommen?
26 Jhesus answerde to hem, and seide, Treuli, treuli, Y seie to you, ye seken me, not for ye sayn the myraclis, but for ye eten of looues, and weren fillid.
Jesus antwortete ihnen und sprach: Wahrlich, wahrlich ich sage euch: Ihr suchet mich nicht darum, daß ihr Zeichen gesehen habt, sondern daß ihr von dem Brot gegessen habt und seid satt geworden.
27 Worche ye not mete that perischith, but that dwellith in to euerlastynge lijf, which mete mannys sone schal yyue to you; for God the fadir hath markid hym. (aiōnios g166)
Wirket Speise, nicht, die vergänglich ist, sondern die da bleibt in das ewige Leben, welche euch des Menschen Sohn geben wird; denn den hat Gott der Vater versiegelt. (aiōnios g166)
28 Therfor thei seiden to hym, What schulen we do, that we worche the werkis of God?
Da sprachen sie zu ihm: Was sollen wir tun, daß wir Gottes Werke wirken?
29 Jhesus answerde, and seide to hem, This is the werk of God, that ye bileue to hym, whom he sente.
Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Das ist Gottes Werk, daß ihr an den glaubt, den er gesandt hat.
30 Therfor thei seiden to hym, What tokene thanne doist thou, that we seen, and bileue to thee? what worchist thou?
Da sprachen sie zu ihm: Was tust du denn für ein Zeichen, auf daß wir sehen und glauben dir? Was wirkst du?
31 Oure fadris eeten manna in desert, as it is writun, He yaf to hem breed fro heuene to ete.
Unsere Väter haben Manna gegessen in der Wüste, wie geschrieben steht: “Er gab ihnen Brot vom Himmel zu essen.”
32 Therfor Jhesus seith to hem, Treuli, treuli, Y seie to you, Moyses yaf you not breed fro heuene, but my fadir yyueth you veri breed fro heuene;
Da sprach Jesus zu ihnen: Wahrlich, wahrlich ich sage euch: Mose hat euch nicht das Brot vom Himmel gegeben, sondern mein Vater gibt euch das rechte Brot vom Himmel.
33 for it is very breed that cometh doun fro heuene, and yyueth lijf to the world.
Denn dies ist das Brot Gottes, das vom Himmel kommt und gibt der Welt das Leben.
34 Therfor thei seiden to hym, Lord, euere yyue vs this breed.
Da sprachen sie zu ihm: HERR, gib uns allewege solch Brot.
35 And Jhesus seide to hem, Y am breed of lijf; he that cometh to me, schal not hungur; he that bileueth in me, schal neuere thirste.
Jesus aber sprach zu ihnen: Ich bin das Brot des Lebens. Wer zu mir kommt, den wird nicht hungern; und wer an mich glaubt, den wird nimmermehr dürsten.
36 But Y seid to you, that ye han seyn me, and ye bileueden not.
Aber ich habe es euch gesagt, daß ihr mich gesehen habt, und glaubet doch nicht.
37 Al thing, that the fadir yyueth to me, schal come to me; and Y schal not caste hym out, that cometh to me.
Alles, was mir mein Vater gibt, das kommt zu mir; und wer zu mir kommt, den werde ich nicht hinausstoßen.
38 For Y cam doun fro heuene, not that Y do my wille, but the wille of hym that sente me.
Denn ich bin vom Himmel gekommen, nicht daß ich meinen Willen tue, sondern den Willen des, der mich gesandt hat.
39 And this is the wille of the fadir that sente me, that al thing that the fadir yaf me, Y leese not of it, but ayen reise it in the laste dai.
Das ist aber der Wille des Vaters, der mich gesandt hat, daß ich nichts verliere von allem, was er mir gegeben hat, sondern daß ich's auferwecke am Jüngsten Tage.
40 And this is the wille of my fadir that sente me, that ech man that seeth the sone, and bileueth in hym, haue euerlastynge lijf; and Y schal ayen reyse hym in the laste dai. (aiōnios g166)
Denn das ist der Wille des, der mich gesandt hat, daß, wer den Sohn sieht und glaubt an ihn, habe das ewige Leben; und ich werde ihn auferwecken am Jüngsten Tage. (aiōnios g166)
41 Therfor Jewis grutchiden of hym, for he hadde seid, Y am breed that cam doun fro heuene.
Da murrten die Juden darüber, daß er sagte: Ich bin das Brot, daß vom Himmel gekommen ist,
42 And thei seiden, Whether this is not Jhesus, the sone of Joseph, whos fadir and modir we han knowun. Hou thanne seith this, That Y cam doun fro heuene?
und sprachen: Ist dieser nicht Jesus, Josephs Sohn, des Vater und Mutter wir kennen? Wie spricht er denn: Ich bin vom Himmel gekommen?
43 Therfor Jhesus answerde, and seide to hem, Nyle ye grutche togidere.
Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Murret nicht untereinander.
44 No man may come to me, but if the fadir that sente me, drawe hym; and Y schal ayen reise hym in the laste dai. It is writun in prophetis,
Es kann niemand zu mir kommen, es sei denn, daß ihn ziehe der Vater, der mich gesandt hat; und ich werde ihn auferwecken am Jüngsten Tage.
45 And alle men schulen be able for to be tauyt `of God. Ech man that herde of the fadir, and hath lerned, cometh to me.
Es steht geschrieben in den Propheten: “Sie werden alle von Gott gelehrt sein.” Wer es nun hört vom Vater und lernt es, der kommt zu mir.
46 Not for ony man hath sey the fadir, but this that is of God, hath sey the fadir.
Nicht daß jemand den Vater habe gesehen, außer dem, der vom Vater ist; der hat den Vater gesehen.
Wahrlich, wahrlich ich sage euch: Wer an mich glaubt, der hat das ewige Leben. (aiōnios g166)
48 Y am breed of lijf.
Ich bin das Brot des Lebens.
49 Youre fadris eeten manna in desert, and ben deed.
Eure Väter haben Manna gegessen in der Wüste und sind gestorben.
50 This is breed comynge doun fro heuene, that if ony man ete therof, he die not.
Dies ist das Brot, das vom Himmel kommt, auf daß, wer davon isset, nicht sterbe.
51 Y am lyuynge breed, that cam doun fro heuene. If ony man ete of this breed, he schal lyue withouten ende. And the breed that Y schal yyue, is my fleisch for the lijf of the world. (aiōn g165)
Ich bin das lebendige Brot, vom Himmel gekommen. Wer von diesem Brot essen wird, der wird leben in Ewigkeit. Und das Brot, daß ich geben werde, ist mein Fleisch, welches ich geben werde für das Leben der Welt. (aiōn g165)
52 Therfor the Jewis chidden togidere, and seiden, Hou may this yyue to vs his fleisch to ete?
Da zankten die Juden untereinander und sprachen: Wie kann dieser uns sein Fleisch zu essen geben?
53 Therfor Jhesus seith to hem, Treuli, treuli, Y seie to you, but ye eten the fleisch of mannus sone, and drenken his blood, ye schulen not haue lijf in you.
Jesus sprach zu ihnen: Wahrlich, wahrlich ich sage euch: Werdet ihr nicht essen das Fleisch des Menschensohnes und trinken sein Blut, so habt ihr kein Leben in euch.
54 He that etith my fleisch, and drynkith my blood, hath euerlastynge lijf, and Y schal ayen reise hym in the laste dai. (aiōnios g166)
Wer mein Fleisch isset und trinket mein Blut, der hat das ewige Leben, und ich werde ihn am Jüngsten Tage auferwecken. (aiōnios g166)
55 For my fleisch is veri mete, and my blood is very drynk.
Denn mein Fleisch ist die rechte Speise, und mein Blut ist der rechte Trank.
56 He that etith my fleisch, and drynkith my blood, dwellith in me, and Y in hym.
Wer mein Fleisch isset und trinket mein Blut, der bleibt in mir und ich in ihm.
57 As my fadir lyuynge sente me, and Y lyue for the fadir, and he that etith me, he schal lyue for me.
Wie mich gesandt hat der lebendige Vater und ich lebe um des Vaters willen, also, wer mich isset, der wird auch leben um meinetwillen.
58 This is breed, that cam doun fro heuene. Not as youre fadris eten manna, and ben deed; he that etith this breed, schal lyue withouten ende. (aiōn g165)
Dies ist das Brot, das vom Himmel gekommen ist; nicht, wie eure Väter haben Manna gegessen und sind gestorben: wer dies Brot isset, der wird leben in Ewigkeit. (aiōn g165)
59 He seide these thingis in the synagoge, techynge in Cafarnaum.
Solches sagte er in der Schule, da er lehrte zu Kapernaum.
60 Therfor many of hise disciplis herynge, seiden, This word is hard, who may here it?
Viele nun seine Jünger, die das hörten, sprachen: Das ist eine harte Rede; wer kann sie hören?
61 But Jhesus witynge at hym silf, that hise disciplis grutchiden of this thing, seide to hem, This thing sclaundrith you?
Da Jesus aber bei sich selbst merkte, daß seine Jünger darüber murrten, sprach er zu ihnen: Ärgert euch das?
62 Therfor if ye seen mannus sone stiynge, where he was bifor?
Wie, wenn ihr denn sehen werdet des Menschen Sohn auffahren dahin, da er zuvor war?
63 It is the spirit that quykeneth, the fleisch profitith no thing; the wordis that Y haue spokun to you, ben spirit and lijf.
Der Geist ist's, der da lebendig macht; das Fleisch ist nichts nütze. Die Worte, die ich rede, die sind Geist und sind Leben.
64 But ther ben summe of you that bileuen not. For Jhesus wiste fro the bigynnynge, which weren bileuynge, and who was to bitraye hym.
Aber es sind etliche unter euch, die glauben nicht. (Denn Jesus wußte von Anfang wohl, welche nicht glaubend waren und welcher ihn verraten würde.)
65 And he seide, Therfor Y seide to you, that no man may come to me, but it were youun to hym of my fadir.
Und er sprach: Darum habe ich euch gesagt: Niemand kann zu mir kommen, es sei ihm denn von meinem Vater gegeben.
66 Fro this tyme many of hise disciplis wenten abak, and wenten not now with hym.
Von dem an gingen seiner Jünger viele hinter sich und wandelten hinfort nicht mehr mit ihm.
67 Therfor Jhesus seide to the twelue, Whether ye wolen also go awei?
Da sprach Jesus zu den Zwölfen: Wollt ihr auch weggehen?
68 And Symount Petre answeride to hym, Lord, to whom schulen we gon? Thou hast wordis of euerlastynge lijf; (aiōnios g166)
Da antwortete ihm Simon Petrus: HERR, wohin sollen wir gehen? Du hast Worte des ewigen Lebens; (aiōnios g166)
69 and we bileuen, and han knowun, that thou art Crist, the sone of God.
und wir haben geglaubt und erkannt, daß du bist Christus, der Sohn des lebendigen Gottes.
70 Therfor Jhesus answerde to hem, Whether Y chees not you twelue, and oon of you is a feend?
Jesus antwortete ihnen: Habe ich nicht euch Zwölf erwählt? und-euer einer ist ein Teufel!
71 And he seide this of Judas of Symount Scarioth, for this was to bitraye hym, whanne he was oon of the twelue.
Er redete aber von dem Judas, Simons Sohn, Ischariot; der verriet ihn hernach, und war der Zwölfe einer.
