John 4
1 Therfor as Jhesu knew, that the Farisees herden, that Jhesu makith and baptisith mo disciplis than Joon,
੧ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜੋ ਫ਼ਰੀਸੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਾ ਕਿ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਚੇਲੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਬਣਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਵੀ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
2 thouy Jhesus baptiside not, but hise disciplis, he lefte Judee,
੨ਭਾਵੇਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਆਪ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਸਗੋਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚੇਲੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ।
3 and wente ayen in to Galilee.
੩ਫਿਰ ਯਿਸੂ ਯਹੂਦਿਯਾ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਮੁੜ ਗਲੀਲ ਨੂੰ ਚਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
4 And it bihofte hym to passe bi Samarie.
੪ਗਲੀਲ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਲੱਗਿਆਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੀ ਲੰਘਣਾ ਪਿਆ।
5 Therfor Jhesus cam in to a citee of Samarie, that is seid Sicar, bisidis the place, that Jacob yaf to Joseph, his sone.
੫ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਿਸੂ ਸੁਖਾਰ ਨਗਰ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ। ਇਹ ਨਗਰ ਉਸ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ।
6 And the welle of Jacob was there; and Jhesus was weri of the iourney, and sat thus vpon the welle. And the our was, as it were the sixte.
੬ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦਾ ਖੂਹ ਉੱਥੇ ਸੀ, ਯਿਸੂ ਆਪਣੀ ਲੰਮੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਤੋਂ ਥੱਕ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਖੂਹ ਕੋਲ ਬੈਠ ਗਿਆ, ਇਹ ਲੱਗਭਗ ਦੁਪਹਿਰ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਸੀ।
7 And a womman cam fro Samarie, to drawe watir. And Jhesus seith to hir, Yyue me drynk.
੭ਇੱਕ ਸਾਮਰੀ ਔਰਤ ਖੂਹ ਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਭਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਈ। ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਣ ਲਈ ਦੇ।”
8 And hise disciplis weren gon in to the citee, to bie mete.
੮ਪਰ ਉਦੋਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਚੇਲੇ ਨਗਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਭੋਜਨ ਖਰੀਦਣ ਗਏ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ।
9 Therfor thilke womman of Samarie seith to him, Hou thou, `whanne thou art a Jewe, axist of me drynk, that am a womman of Samarie? for Jewis vsiden not to dele with Samaritans.
੯ਉਸ ਸਾਮਰੀ ਔਰਤ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਸਾਮਰੀ ਹਾਂ, ਫਿਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਪੀਣ ਲਈ ਪਾਣੀ ਮੰਗ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇੱਕ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਹੋ।” ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਨਾਲ ਕੋਈ ਮਿੱਤਰਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
10 Jhesus answerde, and seide to hir, If thou wistist the yifte of God, and who `he is, that seith to thee, Yyue me drynk, thou perauenture woldist haue axid of hym, and he schulde haue youun to thee quyk watir.
੧੦ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਬਖਸ਼ੀਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦੀ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਜਾਣਦੀ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਮੰਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਕੌਣ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਜਾਣਦੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਜਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ।”
11 The womman seith to him, Sire, thou hast not where ynne to drawe, and the pit is deep; wherof thanne hast thou quik watir?
੧੧ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਮਾਨ ਜੀ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਜਲ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ? ਖੂਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਡੂੰਘਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਪਾਣੀ ਖਿੱਚਣ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ ਭਾਂਡਾ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
12 Whethir thou art grettere than oure fadir Jacob, that yaf to vs the pit? and he drank therof, and hise sones, and hise beestis.
੧੨ਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਵੱਧ ਮਹਾਨ ਹੋ। ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਖੂਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਇਸੇ ਖੂਹ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਤਾ।”
13 Jhesus answerde, and seide to hir, Eche man that drynkith of this watir, schal thirste efte soone;
੧੩ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਜ਼ਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਜੋ ਇਸ ਖੂਹ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਂਦਾ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਪਿਆਸਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
15 The womman seith to hym, Sire, yyue me this watir, that Y thirste not, nether come hidur to drawe.
੧੫ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਮਾਨ ਜੀ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਿਓ। ਫ਼ਿਰ ਮੈਂ ਵੀ ਪਿਆਸੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਾਂਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਖੂਹ ਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਖਿੱਚਣ ਲਈ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਆਉਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।”
16 Jhesus seith to hir, Go, clepe thin hosebonde, and come hidir.
੧੬ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਜਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਥੇ ਸੱਦ ਲਿਆ।”
17 The womman answerde, and seide, Y haue noon hosebonde. Jhesus seith to hir, Thou seidist wel, That Y haue noon hosebonde;
੧੭ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਮੇਰਾ ਪਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।” ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਆਖਿਆ, ਜਦੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਪਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
18 for thou hast hadde fyue hosebondis, and he that thou hast, is not thin hosebonde. This thing thou seidist sotheli.
੧੮ਅਸਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਰੇ ਪੰਜ ਪਤੀ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਜਿਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਨਾਲ ਹੁਣ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈਂ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਪਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਆਖਿਆ ਹੈ।”
19 The womman seith to hym, Lord, Y se, that thou art a prophete.
੧੯ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇੱਕ ਨਬੀ ਹੋ।
20 Oure fadris worschipiden in this hil, and ye seien, that at Jerusalem is a place, where it bihoueth to worschipe.
੨੦ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਉ-ਦਾਦੇ ਇਸ ਪਰਬਤ ਤੇ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ, ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਇਹ ਆਖਦੇ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਥਾਂ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ।”
21 Jhesus seith to hir, Womman, bileue thou to me, for the our schal come, whanne nether in this hil, nethir in Jerusalem, ye schulen worschipe the fadir.
੨੧ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹੇ “ਔਰਤ, ਮੇਰੇ ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰ! ਵਕਤ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਆਉਣ ਦੀ ਜਾਂ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੀ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇਸ ਪਰਬਤ ਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।
22 Ye worschipen that ye knowen not; we worschipen that that we knowen; for helthe is of the Jewis.
੨੨ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਮਰੀ ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਖੁਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ। ਅਸੀਂ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਕੀ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
23 But the tyme is comun, and now it is, whanne trewe worschiperis schulen worschipe the fadir in spirit and treuthe; for also the fadir sekith suche, that worschipen hym.
੨੩ਉਹ ਸਮਾਂ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਜਦੋਂ ਸੱਚੇ ਉਪਾਸਕ ਆਤਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਚਿਆਈ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੀ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਉਹ ਸਮਾਂ ਆਣ ਪੁੱਜਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਅਰਾਧਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
24 God is a spirit, and it bihoueth hem that worschipen hym, to worschipe in spirit and treuthe.
੨੪ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜੋ ਲੋਕ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਚਿਆਈ ਨਾਲ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ।”
25 The womman seith to hym, Y woot that Messias is comun, that is seid Crist; therfor whanne he cometh, he schal telle vs alle thingis.
੨੫ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਮਸੀਹਾ ਅਖਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਮਸੀਹ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਆਵੇਗਾ, ਉਹ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਦੀ ਦੱਸੇਗਾ।”
26 Jhesus seith to hir, Y am he, that spekith with thee.
੨੬ਤਾਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ, ਜੋ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ, ਮਸੀਹ ਹਾਂ।”
27 And anoon hise disciplis camen, and wondriden, that he spak with the womman; netheles no man seide to hym, What sekist thou, or, What spekist thou with hir?
੨੭ਐਨੇ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਚੇਲੇ ਨਗਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਰਤ ਆਏ ਉਹ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਇੱਕ ਔਰਤ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਇਹ ਨਾ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਤੂੰ ਕੀ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ?” “ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਉਂ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ?”
28 Therfor the womman lefte hir watir pot, and wente in to the citee, and seide to tho men,
੨੮ਉਹ ਔਰਤ ਆਪਣਾ ਘੜਾ ਉੱਥੇ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਨਗਰ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਤ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ।
29 Come ye, and se ye a man, that seide to me alle thingis that Y haue don; whether he be Crist?
੨੯“ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਕੁਝ ਦੱਸਿਆ, ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਮੈਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਆਓ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਣ ਕਰੋ। ਕੀ ਉਹ ਮਸੀਹ ਤਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ?”
30 And thei wenten out of the citee, and camen to hym.
੩੦ਤਦ ਉਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਣ ਗਏ।
31 In the mene while hise disciplis preieden hym, and seiden, Maistir, ete.
੩੧ਇੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਚੇਲੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ, “ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ, ਭੋਜਨ ਖਾ ਲਓ।”
32 But he seide to hem, Y haue mete to ete, that ye knowen not.
੩੨ਪਰ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਖਾਣ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਭੋਜਨ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਤਾ।”
33 Therfor disciplis seiden togidir, Whether ony man hath brouyt him mete to ete?
੩੩ਤਾਂ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਉਸ ਲਈ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ?”
34 Jhesus seith to hem, My mete is, that Y do the wille of hym that sente me, that Y perfourme the werk of hym.
੩੪ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੇਰਾ ਭੋਜਨ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਪੂਰੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਪੂਰਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਭੋਜਨ ਹੈ।
35 Whether ye seien not, that yit foure monethis ben, and rype corn cometh? Lo! Y seie to you, lifte vp youre iyen, and se ye the feeldis, for now thei ben white to repe.
੩੫ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੁਝ ਬੀਜਦੇ ਹੋ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਇਹ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹੋ, ਸਾਨੂੰ ਫ਼ਸਲ ਵੱਢਣ ਲਈ ਅਜੇ ਹੋਰ ਚਾਰ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਉਡੀਕਣਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ। ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਖੋਲੋ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖੋ, ਉਹ ਪੈਲੀਆਂ ਤਿਆਰ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਢੀ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਹਨ।
36 And he that repith takith hire, and gaderith fruyt in to euerlastynge lijf; that bothe he that sowith, and he that repith, haue ioye togidere. (aiōnios g166)
੩੬ਜੋ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਫ਼ਸਲ ਵੱਢਦਾ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰੀ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਦੀਪਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਲਈ ਫ਼ਸਲ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਫ਼ਸਲ ਬੀਜਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਜੋ ਫ਼ਸਲ ਦੀ ਵਾਢੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। (aiōnios g166)
37 In this thing is the word trewe, for anothir is that sowith, and anothir that repith.
੩੭ਇਹ ਕਹਾਵਤ ਸੱਚੀ ਹੈ, ਇੱਕ ਬੀਜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਦੂਜਾ ਆਦਮੀ ਫਸਲ ਦੀ ਵਾਢੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
38 Y sente you to repe, that that ye `haue not trauelid; `othere men han trauelid, and ye han entrid `in to her trauels.
੩੮ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਫ਼ਸਲ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਭੇਜਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਲਈ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ, ਹੋਰਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਲਾਭ ਕਰ ਲੈ ਹੋ।”
39 And of that citee many Samaritans bileueden in hym, for the word of the womman, that bare witnessyng, That he seide to me alle thingis that Y haue don.
੩੯ਉਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਕਈ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਔਰਤ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ, “ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।”
40 Therfor whanne Samaritans camen to hym, thei preieden hym to dwelle there; and he dwelte there twey daies.
੪੦ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਯਿਸੂ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਠਹਿਰਣ ਲਈ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਯਿਸੂ ਉੱਥੇ ਦੋ ਦਿਨ ਠਹਿਰਿਆ।
41 And many mo bileueden for his word,
੪੧ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਕਾਰਨ ਹੋਰ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ।
42 and seiden to the womman, That now not for thi speche we bileuen; for we han herd, and we witen, that this is verili the sauyour of the world.
੪੨ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਅਸੀਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਰੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਕਾਰਨ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ, ਸਗੋਂ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਸੁਣੇ ਹਨ। ਹੁਣ ਅਸੀਂ ਜਾਣ ਗਏ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸੱਚ-ਮੁੱਚ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦਾ ਮੁਕਤੀਦਾਤਾ ਹੈ।”
43 And aftir twei daies he wente out fro thennus, and wente in to Galilee.
੪੩ਦੋ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਯਿਸੂ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਵਿਦਾ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਗਲੀਲ ਨੂੰ ਚਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
44 And he bar witnessyng, that a profete in his owne cuntre hath noon onour.
੪੪ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਇਹ ਕਹਿ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਨਬੀ ਦਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਹਰੇਕ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਆਦਰ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
45 Therfor whanne he cam in to Galilee, men of Galilee resseyueden hym, whanne thei hadden seyn alle thingis that he hadde don in Jerusalem in the feeste dai; for also thei hadden comun to the feeste dai.
੪੫ਜਦੋਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਗਲੀਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੇਖ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਸਨ, ਜੋ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਸਾਹ ਦੇ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਤੇ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਸਨ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਤੇ ਗਏ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ।
46 Therfor he cam eftsoone in to the Cane of Galile, where he made the watir wiyn. And `a litil kyng was, whos sone was sijk at Cafarnaum.
੪੬ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਫੇਰ ਯਿਸੂ ਗਲੀਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਆ। ਕਾਨਾ ਉਹ ਥਾਂ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਗੂਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਬਦੀਲ ਕੀਤਾ, ਇੱਕ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਕਫ਼ਰਨਾਹੂਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ, ਉਸਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਸੀ।
47 Whanne this hadde herd, that Jhesu schulde come fro Judee in to Galilee, he wente to hym, and preiede hym, that he schulde come doun, and heele his sone; for he bigan to die.
੪੭ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਯਹੂਦਿਯਾ ਤੋਂ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਗਲੀਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਕਾਨਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਿਸੂ ਕੋਲ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਕਫ਼ਰਨਾਹੂਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਰਸ਼ਣ ਦੇਣ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਤੰਦਰੁਸਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਸਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਮਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ।
48 Therfor Jhesus seide to him, But ye se tokenes and grete wondris, ye bileuen not.
੪੮ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅਚਰਜ਼ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੇਖੋਂਗੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ।”
49 The litil kyng seith to hym, Lord, come doun, bifor that my sone die.
੪੯ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਮਾਨ ਜੀ, ਮੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੇ ਮਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਚੱਲੋ।”
50 Jhesus seith to hym, Go, thi sone lyueth. The man bileuede to the word, that Jhesus seide to hym, and he wente.
੫੦ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਜਾ, ਤੇਰਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।” ਉਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਘਰ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ।
51 And now whanne he cam doun, the seruauntis camen ayens hym, and telden to hym, and seiden, That his sone lyuede.
੫੧ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਘਰ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਰਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨੌਕਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲੇ। ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤੇਰਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।”
52 And he axide of hem the our, in which he was amendid. And thei seiden to hym, For yistirdai in the seuenthe our the feuer lefte him.
੫੨ਉਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੇ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਮੇਰਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਕਿਸ ਵਕਤ ਠੀਕ ਹੋਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ?” ਨੌਕਰ ਨੇ ਜ਼ਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਇਹ ਕੱਲ ਇੱਕ ਵਜੇ ਦੇ ਆਸ-ਪਾਸ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਸੀ, ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸਦਾ ਬੁਖਾਰ ਉਤਰ ਗਿਆ।”
53 Therfor the fadir knewe, that thilke our it was, in which Jhesus seide to hym, Thi sone lyueth; and he bileuede, and al his hous.
੫੩ਉਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਪੂਰਾ ਇੱਕ ਵਜੇ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਸਮਾਂ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ, “ਤੇਰਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।” ਇਉਂ ਉਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਭ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ।
54 Jhesus dide eft this secounde tokene, whanne he cam fro Judee in to Galilee.
੫੪ਇਹ ਦੂਜਾ ਚਮਤਕਾਰ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦਿਯਾ ਤੋਂ ਗਲੀਲ ਆਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
