John 3
1 And there was a man of the Farisees, Nychodeme bi name, a prince of the Jewis.
Había un hombre de los fariseos, llamado Nicodemo, principal entre los judíos.
2 And he cam to Jhesu bi niyt, and seide to hym, Rabi, we witen, that thou art comun fro God maister; for no man may do these signes, that thou doist, but God be with hym.
Vino de noche a encontrarle y le dijo: “Rabí, sabemos que has venido de parte de Dios, como maestro, porque nadie puede hacer los milagros que Tú haces, si Dios no está con él”.
3 Jhesus answerde, and seide to hym, Treuli, treuli, Y seie to thee, but a man be borun ayen, he may not se the kyngdom of God.
Jesús le respondió: “En verdad, en verdad, te digo, si uno no nace de lo alto, no puede ver el reino de Dios”.
4 Nychodeme seide to hym, Hou may a man be borun, whanne he is eeld? whether he may entre ayen in to his modris wombe, and be borun ayen?
Nicodemo le dijo: “¿Cómo puede nacer un hombre, siendo viejo? ¿Puede acaso entrar en el seno de su madre y nacer de nuevo?”
5 Jhesus answeride, Treuli, treuli, Y seie to thee, but a man be borun ayen of watir, and of the Hooli Goost, he may not entre in to the kyngdom of God.
Jesús le respondió: “En verdad, en verdad, te digo, si uno no nace del agua y del espíritu, no puede entrar en el reino de los cielos.
6 `That that is borun of the fleisch, is fleisch; and `that that is borun of spirit, is spirit.
Lo nacido de la carne, es carne; y lo nacido del espíritu, es espíritu.
7 Wondre thou not, for Y seide to thee, It bihoueth you to be borun ayen.
No te admires de que te haya dicho: “Os es necesario nacer de lo alto”.
8 The spirit brethith where he wole, and thou herist his vois, but thou wost not, fro whennus he cometh, ne whidir he goith; so is ech man that is borun of the spirit.
El viento sopla donde quiere; tú oyes su sonido, pero no sabes de dónde viene, ni adónde va. Así acontece con todo aquel que ha nacido del espíritu”.
9 Nychodeme answeride, and seide to hym, Hou moun these thingis be don?
A lo cual Nicodemo le dijo: “¿Cómo puede hacerse esto?”
10 Jhesus answeride, and seide to hym, Thou art a maister in Israel, and knowist not these thingis?
Jesús le respondió: “¿Tú eres el doctor de Israel, y no entiendes esto?
11 Treuli, treuli, Y seie to thee, for we speken that that we witen, and we witnessen that that we han seyn, and ye taken not oure witnessyng.
En verdad, en verdad, te digo: nosotros hablamos lo que sabemos, y atestiguamos lo que hemos visto, y vosotros no recibís nuestro testimonio.
12 If Y haue seid to you ertheli thingis, and ye bileuen not, hou if Y seie to you heueneli thingis, schulen ye bileue?
Si cuando os digo las cosas de la tierra, no creéis, ¿cómo creeréis si os digo las cosas del cielo?
13 And no man stieth in to heuene, but he that cam doun fro heuene, mannys sone that is in heuene.
Nadie ha subido al cielo, sino Aquel que descendió del cielo, el Hijo del hombre.
14 And as Moises areride a serpent in desert, so it bihoueth mannys sone to be reisid,
Y como Moisés, en el desierto, levantó la serpiente, así es necesario que el Hijo del hombre sea levantado.
Para que todo el que cree tenga en Él vida eterna”. (aiōnios g166)
16 For God louede so the world, that he yaf his `oon bigetun sone, that ech man that bileueth in him perische not, but haue euerlastynge lijf. (aiōnios g166)
Porque así amó Dios al mundo: hasta dar su Hijo único, para que todo aquel que cree en Él no se pierda, sino que tenga vida eterna. (aiōnios g166)
17 For God sente not his sone in to the world, that he iuge the world, but that the world be saued bi him.
Porque no envió Dios su Hijo al mundo para juzgar al mundo, sino para que el mundo por Él sea salvo.
18 He that bileueth in hym, is not demed; but he that bileueth not, is now demed, for he bileueth not in the name of the `oon bigetun sone of God.
Quien cree en, Él, no es juzgado, mas quien no cree, ya está juzgado, porque no ha creído en el nombre del Hijo único de Dios.
19 And this is the dom, for liyt cam in to the world, and men loueden more derknessis than liyt; for her werkes weren yuele.
Y este es el juicio: que la luz ha venido al mundo, y los hombres han amado más las tinieblas que la luz, porque sus obras eran malas.
20 For ech man that doith yuele, hatith the liyt; and he cometh not to the liyt, that hise werkis be not repreued.
Porque todo el que obra mal, odia la luz y no viene a la luz, para que sus obras no sean reprobadas.
21 But he that doith treuthe, cometh to the liyt, that hise werkis be schewid, that thei ben don in God.
Al contrario, el que pone en práctica la verdad, viene a la luz, para que se vea que sus obras están hechas en Dios.
22 Aftir these thingis Jhesus cam, and hise disciplis, in to the loond of Judee, and there he dwellide with hem, and baptiside.
Después de esto fue Jesús con sus discípulos al territorio de Judea y allí se quedó con ellos, y bautizaba.
23 And Joon was baptisinge in Ennon, bisidis Salym, for many watris weren there; and thei camen, and weren baptisid.
Por su parte, Juan bautizaba en Ainón, junto a Salim, donde había muchas aguas, y se le presentaban las gentes y se hacían bautizar;
24 And Joon was not yit sent in to prisoun.
porque Juan no había sido todavía aprisionado.
25 Therfor a questioun was maad of Jonys disciplis with the Jewis, of the purificacioun.
Y algunos discípulos de Juan tuvieron una discusión con un judío a propósito de la purificación.
26 And thei camen to Joon, and seiden `to hym, Maister, he that was with thee biyonde Jordan, to whom thou hast borun witnessyng, lo! he baptisith, and alle men comen to hym.
Y fueron a Juan, y le dijeron: “Rabí, Aquel que estaba contigo al otro lado del Jordán, de quien tú diste testimonio, mira que también bautiza, y todo el mundo va a Él”.
27 Joon answerde, and seide, A man may not take ony thing, but it be youun to hym fro heuene.
Juan les respondió: “No puede el hombre recibir nada, si no le fuere dado del cielo.
28 Ye you silf beren witnessyng to me, that Y seide, Y am not Crist, but that Y am sent bifore hym.
Vosotros mismos me sois testigos de que yo he dicho: «No soy yo el Mesías, sino que he sido enviado delante de Él».
29 He that hath a wijf, is the hosebonde; but the freend of the spouse that stondith, and herith hym, ioieth with ioye, for the vois of the spouse. Therfor in this thing my ioye is fulfillid.
El que tiene la esposa, es el esposo. El amigo del esposo, que está a su lado y le oye, experimenta una gran alegría con la voz del esposo. Esta alegría, que es la mía, está, pues, cumplida.
30 It bihoueth hym to wexe, but me to be maad lesse.
Es necesario que Él crezca y que yo disminuya.
31 He that cam from aboue, is aboue alle; he that is of the erthe, spekith of the erthe; he that cometh from heuene, is aboue alle.
El que viene de lo alto, está por encima de todos. Quien viene de la tierra, es terrenal y habla de lo terrenal. Aquel que viene del cielo está por encima de todos.
32 And he witnessith that thing that he hath seie, and herde, and no man takith his witnessing.
Lo que ha visto y oído, eso testifica, ¡y nadie admite su testimonio!
33 But he that takith his witnessyng, hath confermyd that God is sothefast.
Pero el que acepta su testimonio ha reconocido auténticamente que Dios es veraz.
34 But he whom God hath sent, spekith the wordis of God; for not to mesure God yyueth the spirit.
Aquel a quien Dios envió dice las palabras de Dios; porque Él no da con medida el Espíritu.
35 The fadir loueth the sone, and he hath youun alle thingis in his hoond.
El Padre ama al Hijo y le ha entregado pleno poder.
36 He that bileueth in the sone, hath euerlastynge lijf; but he that is vnbileueful to the sone, schal not se euerlastynge lijf, but the wraththe of God dwellith on hym. (aiōnios g166)
Quien cree al Hijo tiene vida eterna; quien no quiere creer al Hijo no verá la vida, sino que la cólera de Dios permanece sobre él”. (aiōnios g166)
