John 21
1 Afterward Jhesus eftsoone schewide hym to hise disciplis, at the see of Tiberias.
După acestea, Isus S-a arătat din nou ucenicilor la Marea Tiberiadei. El s-a revelat în felul următor.
2 And he schewide him thus. There weren togidere Symount Petre, and Thomas, that is seid Didimus, and Nathanael, that was of the Cane of Galilee, and the sones of Zebedee, and tweyne othere of hise disciplis.
Simon Petru, Toma zis Didim, Natanael din Cana Galileii, fiii lui Zebedei și alți doi dintre discipolii Săi erau împreună.
3 Symount Petre seith to hem, Y go to fische. Thei seyn to hym, And we comen with thee. And `thei wenten out, `and wenten in to a boot. And in that niyt thei token no thing.
Simon Petru le-a spus: “Mă duc la pescuit”. I-au spus: “Și noi venim cu tine”. Au ieșit imediat și au intrat în barcă. În acea noapte, nu au prins nimic.
4 But whanne the morewe was comun, Jhesus stood in the brenke; netheles the disciplis knewen not, that it was Jhesus.
Dar când deja se făcuse ziuă, Isus stătea pe plajă; totuși, discipolii nu știau că era Isus.
5 Therfor Jhesus seith to hem, Children, whethir ye han ony souping thing? Thei answeriden to hym, Nay. He seide to hem,
Isus le-a zis deci: “Copii, aveți ceva de mâncare?” Ei i-au răspuns: “Nu”.
6 Putte ye the nett in to the riyt half of the rowing, and ye schulen fynde. And thei puttiden the nett; and thanne thei miyten not drawe it for multitude of fischis.
Și le-a zis: “Aruncați năvodul în partea dreaptă a corăbiei și veți găsi câteva.” L-au aruncat, deci, și acum nu mai puteau să-l atragă pentru mulțimea de pești.
7 Therfor thilke disciple, whom Jhesus louede, seide to Petre, It is the Lord. Symount Petre, whanne he hadde herd that it is the Lord, girte hym with a coote, for he was nakid, and wente in to the see.
De aceea, ucenicul acela pe care-l iubea Isus i-a spus lui Petru: “Este Domnul!” Când Simon Petru a auzit că este Domnul, și-a înfășurat haina (căci era gol) și s-a aruncat în mare.
8 But the othere disciplis camen bi boot, for thei weren not fer fro the lond, but as a two hundrid cubitis, drawinge the nett of fischis.
Dar ceilalți ucenici au venit cu barca mică (căci nu erau departe de uscat, ci la vreo două sute de coți), trăgând plasa plină de pește.
9 And as thei camen doun in to the lond, thei sayn coolis liynge, and a fisch leid on, and breed.
Când au ieșit pe uscat, au văzut acolo un foc de cărbuni, pe care erau așezate pește și pâine.
10 Jhesus seith to hem, Bringe ye of the fyschis, whiche ye han takun now.
Isus le-a zis: “Aduceți o parte din peștele pe care tocmai l-ați prins.”
11 Symount Petre wente vp, and drowy the nett in to the lond, ful of grete fischis, an hundrid fifti and thre; and whanne thei weren so manye, the nett was not brokun.
Simon Petru s-a suit și a tras la țărm o plasă plină cu o sută cincizeci și trei de pești mari. Chiar dacă erau atât de mulți, plasa nu s-a rupt.
12 Jhesus seith to hem, Come ye, ete ye. And no man of hem that saten at the mete, durste axe hym, Who art thou, witinge that it is the Lord.
Isus le-a zis: “Veniți și luați micul dejun!” Nici unul dintre ucenici nu a îndrăznit să-l întrebe: “Cine ești tu?”, știind că era Domnul.
13 And Jhesus cam, and took breed, an yaf to hem, and fisch also.
Isus a venit, a luat pâinea, le-a dat-o și peștele, și tot așa și peștele.
14 Now this thridde tyme Jhesus was schewid to hise disciplis, whanne he hadde risun ayen fro deth.
Aceasta este acum a treia oară când Iisus se arată discipolilor Săi după ce a înviat din morți.
15 And whanne thei hadde etun, Jhesus seith to Simount Petre, Symount of Joon, louest thou me more than these? He seith to him, Yhe, Lord, thou woost that Y loue thee. Jhesus seith to hym, Fede thou my lambren.
După ce au luat micul dejun, Isus i-a zis lui Simon Petru: “Simon, fiul lui Iona, mă iubești tu mai mult decât aceștia?” El i-a răspuns: “Da, Doamne, știi că am o afecțiune pentru tine”. El i-a spus: “Paște mieii mei”.
16 Eft he seith to hym, Symount of Joon, louest thou me? He seith to him, Yhe, Lord, thou woost that Y loue thee. He seith to him, Fede thou my lambren.
Și i-a zis a doua oară: “Simon, fiul lui Iona, mă iubești?” El i-a răspuns: “Da, Doamne, știi că am o afecțiune pentru tine”. El i-a spus: “Păzește oile mele”.
17 He seith to him the thridde tyme, Simount of Joon, louest thou me? Petre was heuy, for he seith to hym the thridde tyme, Louest thou me, and he seith to him, Lord, thou knowist alle thingis; thou woost that Y loue thee. Jhesus seith to hym, Fede my scheep.
A treia oară i-a zis: “Simon, fiul lui Iona, mă iubești?” Petru a fost mâhnit pentru că l-a întrebat a treia oară: “Mă iubești?”. El i-a răspuns: “Doamne, Tu știi totul. Tu știi că am afecțiune pentru tine”. Isus i-a spus: “Paște oile Mele.
18 Treuli, treuli, Y seie to thee, whanne thou were yongere, thou girdidist thee, and wandridist where thou woldist; but whanne thou schalt waxe eldere, thou schalt holde forth thin hondis, and another schal girde thee, and schal lede thee whidur thou wolt not.
Adevărat îți spun că, atunci când erai tânăr, te îmbrăcai singur și mergeai pe unde voiai. Dar când vei fi bătrân, vei întinde mâinile și altul te va îmbrăca și te va duce unde nu vrei să mergi.”
19 He seide this thing, signifynge bi what deth he schulde glorifie God. And whanne he hadde seid these thingis, he seith to hym, Sue thou me.
Și a spus aceasta, ca să arate prin ce fel de moarte vrea să slăvească pe Dumnezeu. După ce a spus aceasta, i-a zis: “Urmează-mă”.
20 Petre turnede, and say thilke disciple suynge, whom Jhesus louede, which also restid in the soper on his brest, and he seide to hym, Lord, who is it, that schal bitraie thee?
Atunci Petru, întorcându-se, a văzut un ucenic care îl urmărea. Acesta era ucenicul pe care Isus îl iubea, cel care se aplecase și el la pieptul lui Isus la cină și care întrebase: “Doamne, cine te va trăda?”
21 Therfor whanne Petre hadde seyn this, he seith to Jhesu, Lord, but what this?
Petru, văzându-l, l-a întrebat pe Isus: “Doamne, ce-i cu omul acesta?”
22 Jhesus seith to him, So I wole that he dwelle til that Y come, what to thee? sue thou me.
Isus i-a zis: “Dacă vreau să rămână până ce voi veni Eu, ce-ți pasă ție? Urmează-mă tu!”
23 Therfor this word wente out among the britheren, that thilke disciple dieth not. And Jhesus seide not to hym, that he dieth not, but, So Y wole that he dwelle til Y come, what to thee?
De aceea s-a răspândit acest cuvânt printre frați, ca acest ucenic să nu moară. Totuși, Isus nu i-a spus că nu va muri, ci: “Dacă vreau ca el să rămână până când voi veni eu, ce-ți pasă ție?”
24 This is thilke disciple, that berith witnessyng of these thingis, and wroot hem; and we witen, that his witnessyng is trewe.
Acesta este ucenicul care mărturisește despre aceste lucruri și care a scris aceste lucruri. Noi știm că mărturia lui este adevărată.
25 And ther ben also manye othere thingis that Jhesus dide, whiche if thei ben writun bi ech bi hym silf, Y deme that the world hym silf schal not take tho bookis, that ben to be writun.
Mai sunt și multe alte lucruri pe care le-a făcut Isus, care, dacă ar fi scrise toate, cred că nici măcar lumea însăși nu ar avea loc pentru cărțile care s-ar scrie.
