< John 13 >
1 Bifor the `feeste dai of pask Jhesus witynge, that his our is comun, that he passe fro this world to the fadir, whanne he hadde loued hise that weren in the world, in to the ende he louede hem.
Pea ʻi he teʻeki [fai ] ʻae [kātoanga ]ʻoe Lakaatu, naʻe ʻilo ʻe Sisu kuo hoko hono ʻaho ke ʻalu ai ʻi he māmani ki he Tamai, pea naʻe ʻofa ia kiate kinautolu naʻe ʻaʻana ʻoku ʻi he māmani, pea ʻofa pe ia ki ai ʻo aʻu ki he ngataʻanga.
2 And whanne the souper was maad, whanne the deuel hadde put than in to the herte, that Judas of Symount Scarioth schulde bitraye hym,
Pea lolotonga ʻae ʻohomohe, kuo tomuʻa ʻai ʻe he tēvolo ki he loto ʻo Siutasi ʻIsikaliote, ko e foha ʻo Saimone, ke ne lavakiʻi ia;
3 he witynge that the fadir yaf alle thingis to hym in to hise hoondis, and that he wente out fro God,
Pea kuo ʻilo ʻe Sisu kuo tuku ʻe he Tamai ʻae ngaahi meʻa kotoa pē ki hono nima, pea naʻe haʻu ia mei he ʻOtua, pea ʻoku ʻalu ki he ʻOtua;
4 and goith to God, he risith fro the souper, and doith of hise clothis; and whanne he hadde takun a lynun cloth, he girde hym.
Naʻe tuʻu hake ia mei he ʻohomohe, ʻo tuku hono kofu; pea toʻo ʻae holoholo, ʻo nonoʻo ia.
5 And aftirward he putte watir in to a basyn, and biganne to waische the disciplis feet, and to wipe with the lynnen cloth, with which he was gird.
Pea toki lilingi ʻe ia ʻae vai ki he kumete, pea ne kamata fufulu ʻae vaʻe ʻoe kau ākonga, pea holoholo ʻaki ʻae holo naʻe nonoʻo ʻaki.
6 And so he cam to Symount Petre, and Petre seith to hym, Lord, waischist thou my feet?
Pea haʻu ai ia kia Saimone Pita: pea pehē ʻe [Pita ]kiate ia, “ʻEiki, te ke fufulu hoku vaʻe?”
7 Jhesus answerde, and seide to hym, What Y do, thou wost not now; but thou schalt wite aftirward.
Pea leaange ʻa Sisu, ʻo pehē kiate ia, “Ko ia ʻoku ou fai, ʻoku ʻikai te ke ʻilo ni; ka te ke ʻilo ʻamui.”
8 Petre seith to hym, Thou schalt neuere waische my feet. Jhesus answeride to hym, If Y schal not waische thee, thou schalt not haue part with me. (aiōn )
Pea pehē ʻe Pita kiate ia, “ʻE ʻikai ʻaupito te ke fufulu hoku vaʻe.” Pea talaange ʻe Sisu kiate ia, “Ka ʻikai te u fufulu koe, pea ʻe ʻikai te ke kau mo au.” (aiōn )
9 Symount Petre seith to hym, Lord, not oneli my feet, but bothe the hoondis and the heed.
Pea pehē ʻe Saimone Pita kiate ia, “ʻEiki, ʻikai ko hoku vaʻe pē, ka ko hoku nima mo hoku ʻulu.”
10 Jhesus seide to hym, He that is waischun, hath no nede but that he waische the feet, but he is al clene; and ye ben clene, but not alle.
Pea talaange ʻe Sisu kiate ia, “Ko ia kuo kaukau, ʻoku ʻikai ʻaonga ke fufulu ka ko hono vaʻe [pē], he ʻoku maʻa kotoa pē ia: pea ʻoku maʻa ʻakimoutolu, kae ʻikai kotoa pē.”
11 For he wiste, who `was he that schulde bitraye hym; therfor he seide, Ye ben not alle clene.
He naʻa ne ʻilo ʻaia te ne lavaki ia; ko ia naʻe pehē ai ʻe ia, “ʻOku ʻikai te mou maʻa kotoa pē.”
12 And so aftir that he hadde waischun `the feet of hem, he took hise clothis; and whanne he was set to mete ayen, eft he seide to hem, Ye witen what Y haue don to you.
Pea hili ʻene kaukau honau vaʻe, naʻe ʻai hono ngaahi kofu, pea toe nofo hifo, pea ne pehē kiate kinautolu, “ʻOku mou ʻilo ʻaia kuo u fai kiate kimoutolu?”
13 Ye clepen me maistir and lord, and ye seien wel; for Y am.
“ʻOku mou ui au ko e Takimuʻa mo e ʻEiki: pea ko hoʻomou lea totonu ia; he ko au ia.
14 Therfor if Y, lord and maistir, haue waischun youre feet, and ye schulen waische oon anothers feet;
Pea kapau ko au, ko e ʻEiki mo e Takimuʻa, kuo u fufulu homou vaʻe; ʻoku totonu hoʻomou fetoutou fefufuluʻaki homou vaʻe.
15 for Y haue youun `ensaumple to you, `that as I haue do to you, so do ye.
He kuo u tuku kiate kimoutolu ʻae fakatātā, koeʻuhi ke mou fai ʻo tatau mo ia kuo u fai kiate kimoutolu.
16 Treuli, treuli, Y seie to you, the seruaunt is not grettere than his lord, nether an apostle is grettere than he that sente hym.
Ko e moʻoni, ko e moʻoni, ʻoku ou tala kiate kimoutolu, ʻOku ʻikai lahi ʻae tamaioʻeiki ki heʻene ʻeiki; pea ʻoku ʻikai lahi ʻaia kuo fekauʻi ʻiate ia naʻa ne fekau ia.
17 If ye witen these thingis, ye schulen be blessid, if ye doen hem.
ʻOku mou monūʻia ʻi hoʻomou ʻilo ʻae ngaahi meʻa ni, ʻo kapau te mou fai ki ai.
18 Y seie not of `alle you, Y woot whiche Y haue chosun; but that the scripture be fulfillid, He that etith my breed, schal reise his heele ayens me.
“ʻOku ʻikai kau ʻeku lea kiate kimoutolu kotoa pē: ʻoku ou ʻilo ʻaia kuo u fili: ka koeʻuhi ke fakamoʻoni ʻae tohi, ‘Ko ia ʻoku kai mā mo au, kuo hiki hono vaʻe kiate au.’
19 Treuly, Y seie to you bifor it be don, that whanne it is don, ye bileue that Y am.
Pea ko eni ʻoku ou tala ia kiate kimoutolu ʻi he teʻeki ai hoko, koeʻuhi ʻoka hoko ia, ke mou tui ‘ko au ia.’
20 Treuli, treuli, Y seie to you, he that takith whom euere Y schal sende, resseyueth me; and he that resseyueth me, resseyueth hym that sente me.
Ko e moʻoni, ko e moʻoni, ʻoku ou tala atu kiate kimoutolu, Ko ia ʻoku ne maʻu ʻaia ʻoku ou fekau, ʻoku ne maʻu au; pea ko ia ʻoku ne maʻu au, ʻoku ne maʻu ʻaia naʻa ne fekauʻi au.”
21 Whanne Jhesus hadde seid these thingis, he was troblid in spirit, and witnesside, and seide, Treuli, treuli, Y seie to you, that oon of you schal bitraye me.
Pea hili ʻae lea ko ia ʻa Sisu, pea mamahi ia ʻi hono laumālie, ʻo ne fakahā, ʻo pehē, Ko e moʻoni, ko e moʻoni, ʻoku ou tala atu kiate kimoutolu, “ʻE lavakiʻi au ʻe homou tokotaha.”
22 Therfor the disciplis lokiden togidere, doutynge of whom he seide.
Pea fesiofaki ʻae kau ākonga kiate kinautolu, ʻonau fifili pe ko ʻene lea kia hai.
23 And so oon of hise disciplis was restynge in the bosum of Jhesu, whom Jhesu louede.
Pea naʻe faʻaki ki he fatafata ʻo Sisu ʻene ākonga ʻe tokotaha, naʻe ʻofa ai ʻa Sisu.
24 Therfor Symount Petre bikeneth to hym, `and seith to hym, Who is it, of whom he seith?
Ko ia naʻe kamokamo ai ʻe Saimone Pita kiate ia, koeʻuhi ke ne fehuʻi pe ko hai ia kuo ne lea ki ai.
25 And so whanne he hadde restid ayen on the brest of Jhesu, he seith to hym, Lord, who is it?
Pea [lea ]falala ʻe ia ki he fatafata ʻo Sisu, ʻo pehē kiate ia, “ʻEiki, ko hai ia?”
26 Jhesus answerde, He it is, to whom Y schal areche a sop of breed. And whanne he hadde wet breed, he yaf to Judas of Symount Scarioth.
Pea talaange ʻe Sisu, “Ko ia ia te u ʻatu ki ai ʻae konga mā hili ʻeku peke [ia].” Pea hili ʻene peke ʻae konga, ne ne ʻatu [ia ]kia Siutasi ʻIsikaliote, ko e foha ʻo Saimone.
27 And aftir the mussel, thanne Sathanas entride in to hym. And Jhesus seith to hym, That thing that thou doist, do thou swithe.
Pea hili ʻae peke, pea hū ʻa Sētane kiate ia. Pea pehē ʻe Sisu kiate ia, “Ko ia ʻoku ke fai, fai vave.”
28 And noon of hem that saten at the mete wiste, wherto he seide to hym.
Pea naʻe ʻikai ʻilo ʻe ha tokotaha ʻi he keinangaʻanga pe ko e hā ʻoku pehē ai ʻene lea kiate ia.
29 For summe gessiden, for Judas hadde pursis, that Jhesus hadde seid to hym, Bie thou tho thingis, that ben nedeful to vs to the feeste dai, or that he schulde yyue sum thing to nedi men.
He naʻe mahalo ʻae niʻihi, ko e meʻa ʻi he maʻu ʻe Siutasi ʻae kato, naʻe tala ʻe Sisu kiate ia, Fakatau ʻaia ʻoku tau masiva ai ki he kātoanga; pe, koeʻuhi ke ne foaki ha meʻa ki he masiva.
30 Therfor whanne he hadde takun the mussel, he wente out anoon; and it was nyyt.
Pea maʻu ʻe ia ʻae peke, ʻo ʻalu leva kituaʻā: pea kuo poʻuli.
31 And whanne he was gon out, Jhesus seide, Now mannus sone is clarified, and God is clarified in hym.
Pea kuo ʻalu ia kituaʻā, pea lea ʻa Sisu, “Ko eni kuo fakaongoongolelei ʻae Foha ʻoe tangata, pea ʻoku fakaongoongolelei ʻae ʻOtua ʻiate ia.
32 If God is clarified in hym, God schal clarifie hym in hym silf, and anoon he schal clarifie hym.
Kapau ʻoku fakaongoongolelei ʻae ʻOtua ʻiate ia, ʻe fakaongoongolelei ia ʻe he ʻOtua ʻiate ia, pea te ne fakaongoongolelei leva ia.
33 Litle sones, yit a litil Y am with you; ye schulen seke me, and, as Y seide to the Jewis, Whidur Y go, ye moun not come; and to you Y seie now.
ʻAe fānau ʻofeina, ʻoku toe siʻi pē ʻeku ʻiate kimoutolu. Te mou kumi au: pea hangē ko ʻeku tala ki he kakai Siu, ‘Ko e potu ʻoku ou ʻalu ki ai, ʻe ʻikai te mou faʻa hoko ki ai;’ ʻoku pehē ni ʻeku lea kiate kimoutolu.
34 Y yyue to you a newe maundement, that ye loue togidir, as Y louede you, `and that ye loue togidir.
ʻOku ou tuku ʻae fekau foʻou kiate kimoutolu, Koeʻuhi ke mou feʻofaʻaki kiate kimoutolu; pea hangē ko ʻeku ʻofa kiate kimoutolu, ke mou feʻofaʻaki foki kiate kimoutolu.
35 In this thing alle men schulen knowe, that ye ben my disciplis, if ye han loue togidere.
ʻI he meʻa ni ʻe ʻilo ai ʻe he kakai kotoa pē ko ʻeku kau ākonga ʻakimoutolu, ʻo kapau te mou feʻofaʻaki kiate kimoutolu.”
36 Symount Petre seith to hym, Lord, whidur goist thou? Jhesus answeride, Whidur Y go, thou mayst not sue me now, but thou schalt sue afterward.
Pea lea ʻa Saimone Pita kiate ia, “ʻEiki, ʻoku ke ʻalu ki fē?” Pea talaange ʻe Sisu ki ai, “Ko ia ʻoku ou ʻalu ki ai, ʻoku ʻikai te ke faʻa muimui ni ʻiate au; ka te ke muimui ʻiate au ʻamui.”
37 Petre seith to hym, Whi may Y not sue thee now? Y schal putte my lijf for thee.
Pea fehuʻi ʻe Pita kiate ia, “ʻEiki, ko e hā ʻe ʻikai te u muimui ai ni kiate koe? Te u tuku hifo ʻeku moʻui koeʻuhi ko koe.”
38 Jhesus answeride, Thou schalt putte thi lijf for me? Treuli, treuli, Y seie to thee, the cok schal not crowe, til thou schalt denye me thries. And he seith to hise disciplis.
Pea pehēange ʻe Sisu kiate ia, “Te ke tuku koā hoʻo moʻui koeʻuhi ko au? Ko e moʻoni, ko e moʻoni, ʻoku ou tala atu kiate koe, ʻE ʻikai ʻuʻua ʻae moa, kae tuʻo tolu haʻo fakafisi kiate au.
