John 13
1 Bifor the `feeste dai of pask Jhesus witynge, that his our is comun, that he passe fro this world to the fadir, whanne he hadde loued hise that weren in the world, in to the ende he louede hem.
Vor dem Feste des Passah aber, als Jesus wußte, daß seine Stunde gekommen war, daß er aus dieser Welt zu dem Vater hingehen sollte, da er die Seinigen, die in der Welt waren, geliebt hatte, liebte er sie bis ans Ende.
2 And whanne the souper was maad, whanne the deuel hadde put than in to the herte, that Judas of Symount Scarioth schulde bitraye hym,
Und während des Abendessens, als der Teufel schon dem Judas, Simons Sohn, dem Iskariot, es ins Herz gegeben hatte, daß er ihn überliefere,
3 he witynge that the fadir yaf alle thingis to hym in to hise hoondis, and that he wente out fro God,
steht [Jesus], wissend, daß der Vater ihm alles in die Hände gegeben, und daß er von Gott ausgegangen war und zu Gott hingehe,
4 and goith to God, he risith fro the souper, and doith of hise clothis; and whanne he hadde takun a lynun cloth, he girde hym.
von dem Abendessen auf und legt die Oberkleider ab; und er nahm ein leinenes Tuch und umgürtete sich.
5 And aftirward he putte watir in to a basyn, and biganne to waische the disciplis feet, and to wipe with the lynnen cloth, with which he was gird.
Dann gießt er Wasser in das Waschbecken und fing an, die Füße der Jünger zu waschen und mit dem leinenen Tuch abzutrocknen, mit welchem er umgürtet war.
6 And so he cam to Symount Petre, and Petre seith to hym, Lord, waischist thou my feet?
Er kommt nun zu Simon Petrus, und der spricht zu ihm: Herr, du wäschest meine Füße?
7 Jhesus answerde, and seide to hym, What Y do, thou wost not now; but thou schalt wite aftirward.
Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihm: Was ich tue, weißt du jetzt nicht, du wirst es aber hernach verstehen.
8 Petre seith to hym, Thou schalt neuere waische my feet. Jhesus answeride to hym, If Y schal not waische thee, thou schalt not haue part with me. (aiōn g165)
Petrus spricht zu ihm: Du sollst nimmermehr meine Füße waschen! Jesus antwortete ihm: Wenn ich dich nicht wasche, so hast du kein Teil mit mir. (aiōn g165)
9 Symount Petre seith to hym, Lord, not oneli my feet, but bothe the hoondis and the heed.
Simon Petrus spricht zu ihm: Herr, nicht meine Füße allein, sondern auch die Hände und das Haupt.
10 Jhesus seide to hym, He that is waischun, hath no nede but that he waische the feet, but he is al clene; and ye ben clene, but not alle.
Jesus spricht zu ihm: Wer gebadet ist, hat nicht nötig sich zu waschen, ausgenommen die Füße, sondern ist ganz rein; und ihr seid rein, aber nicht alle.
11 For he wiste, who `was he that schulde bitraye hym; therfor he seide, Ye ben not alle clene.
Denn er kannte den, der ihn überlieferte; darum sagte er: Ihr seid nicht alle rein.
12 And so aftir that he hadde waischun `the feet of hem, he took hise clothis; and whanne he was set to mete ayen, eft he seide to hem, Ye witen what Y haue don to you.
Als er nun ihre Füße gewaschen und seine Oberkleider genommen hatte, legte er sich wiederum zu Tische und sprach zu ihnen: Wisset ihr, was ich euch getan habe?
13 Ye clepen me maistir and lord, and ye seien wel; for Y am.
Ihr heißet mich Lehrer und Herr, und ihr saget recht, denn ich bin es.
14 Therfor if Y, lord and maistir, haue waischun youre feet, and ye schulen waische oon anothers feet;
Wenn nun ich, der Herr und der Lehrer, eure Füße gewaschen habe, so seid auch ihr schuldig, einander die Füße zu waschen.
15 for Y haue youun `ensaumple to you, `that as I haue do to you, so do ye.
Denn ich habe euch ein Beispiel gegeben, auf daß, gleichwie ich euch getan habe, auch ihr tuet.
16 Treuli, treuli, Y seie to you, the seruaunt is not grettere than his lord, nether an apostle is grettere than he that sente hym.
Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage euch: Ein Knecht ist nicht größer als sein Herr, noch ein Gesandter größer, als der ihn gesandt hat.
17 If ye witen these thingis, ye schulen be blessid, if ye doen hem.
Wenn ihr dies wisset, glückselig seid ihr, wenn ihr es tut.
18 Y seie not of `alle you, Y woot whiche Y haue chosun; but that the scripture be fulfillid, He that etith my breed, schal reise his heele ayens me.
Ich rede nicht von euch allen, ich weiß, welche ich auserwählt habe; aber auf daß die Schrift erfüllt würde: “Der mit mir das Brot ißt, hat seine Ferse wider mich aufgehoben”.
19 Treuly, Y seie to you bifor it be don, that whanne it is don, ye bileue that Y am.
Von jetzt an sage ich es euch, ehe es geschieht, auf daß ihr, wenn es geschieht, glaubet, daß ich es bin.
20 Treuli, treuli, Y seie to you, he that takith whom euere Y schal sende, resseyueth me; and he that resseyueth me, resseyueth hym that sente me.
Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage euch: Wer aufnimmt, wen irgend ich senden werde, nimmt mich auf; wer aber mich aufnimmt, nimmt den auf, der mich gesandt hat.
21 Whanne Jhesus hadde seid these thingis, he was troblid in spirit, and witnesside, and seide, Treuli, treuli, Y seie to you, that oon of you schal bitraye me.
Als Jesus dies gesagt hatte, ward er im Geiste erschüttert und bezeugte und sprach: Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage euch: Einer von euch wird mich überliefern.
22 Therfor the disciplis lokiden togidere, doutynge of whom he seide.
Da blickten die Jünger einander an, zweifelnd, von wem er rede.
23 And so oon of hise disciplis was restynge in the bosum of Jhesu, whom Jhesu louede.
Einer aber von seinen Jüngern, den Jesus liebte, lag zu Tische in dem Schoße Jesu.
24 Therfor Symount Petre bikeneth to hym, `and seith to hym, Who is it, of whom he seith?
Diesem nun winkt Simon Petrus, damit er forschen möchte, wer es wohl wäre, von welchem er rede.
25 And so whanne he hadde restid ayen on the brest of Jhesu, he seith to hym, Lord, who is it?
Jener aber, sich an die Brust Jesu lehnend, spricht zu ihm: Herr, wer ist es?
26 Jhesus answerde, He it is, to whom Y schal areche a sop of breed. And whanne he hadde wet breed, he yaf to Judas of Symount Scarioth.
Jesus antwortete: Jener ist es, welchem ich den Bissen, wenn ich ihn eingetaucht habe, geben werde. Und als er den Bissen eingetaucht hatte, gibt er ihn dem Judas, Simons Sohn, dem Iskariot.
27 And aftir the mussel, thanne Sathanas entride in to hym. And Jhesus seith to hym, That thing that thou doist, do thou swithe.
Und nach dem Bissen fuhr alsdann der Satan in ihn. Jesus spricht nun zu ihm: Was du tust, tue schnell.
28 And noon of hem that saten at the mete wiste, wherto he seide to hym.
Keiner aber von den zu Tische Liegenden verstand, wozu er ihm dies sagte.
29 For summe gessiden, for Judas hadde pursis, that Jhesus hadde seid to hym, Bie thou tho thingis, that ben nedeful to vs to the feeste dai, or that he schulde yyue sum thing to nedi men.
Denn etliche meinten, weil Judas die Kasse hatte, daß Jesus zu ihm sage: Kaufe, was wir für das Fest bedürfen, oder daß er den Armen etwas geben solle.
30 Therfor whanne he hadde takun the mussel, he wente out anoon; and it was nyyt.
Als nun jener den Bissen genommen hatte, ging er alsbald hinaus. Es war aber Nacht.
31 And whanne he was gon out, Jhesus seide, Now mannus sone is clarified, and God is clarified in hym.
Als er nun hinausgegangen war, spricht Jesus: Jetzt ist der Sohn des Menschen verherrlicht, und Gott ist verherrlicht in ihm.
32 If God is clarified in hym, God schal clarifie hym in hym silf, and anoon he schal clarifie hym.
Wenn Gott verherrlicht ist in ihm, so wird auch Gott ihn verherrlichen in sich selbst, und alsbald wird er ihn verherrlichen.
33 Litle sones, yit a litil Y am with you; ye schulen seke me, and, as Y seide to the Jewis, Whidur Y go, ye moun not come; and to you Y seie now.
Kinder, noch eine kleine Weile bin ich bei euch; ihr werdet mich suchen, und wie ich den Juden sagte: Wo ich hingehe, könnt ihr nicht hinkommen, so sage ich jetzt auch euch.
34 Y yyue to you a newe maundement, that ye loue togidir, as Y louede you, `and that ye loue togidir.
Ein neues Gebot gebe ich euch, daß ihr einander liebet, auf daß, gleichwie ich euch geliebt habe, auch ihr einander liebet.
35 In this thing alle men schulen knowe, that ye ben my disciplis, if ye han loue togidere.
Daran werden alle erkennen, daß ihr meine Jünger seid, wenn ihr Liebe untereinander habt.
36 Symount Petre seith to hym, Lord, whidur goist thou? Jhesus answeride, Whidur Y go, thou mayst not sue me now, but thou schalt sue afterward.
Simon Petrus spricht zu ihm: Herr, wo gehst du hin? Jesus antwortete ihm: Wo ich hingehe, kannst du mir jetzt nicht folgen; du wirst mir aber später folgen.
37 Petre seith to hym, Whi may Y not sue thee now? Y schal putte my lijf for thee.
Petrus spricht zu ihm: Herr, warum kann ich dir jetzt nicht folgen? Mein Leben will ich für dich lassen.
38 Jhesus answeride, Thou schalt putte thi lijf for me? Treuli, treuli, Y seie to thee, the cok schal not crowe, til thou schalt denye me thries. And he seith to hise disciplis.
Jesus antwortet: Dein Leben willst du für mich lassen? Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage dir, der Hahn wird nicht krähen, bis du mich dreimal verleugnet hast.
