John 10
1 Treuli, treuli, Y seie to you, he that cometh not in by the dore in to the foold of scheep, but stieth bi another weie, is a nyyt theef and a dai theef.
Totisesti, totisesti sanon minä teille: joka ei ovesta mene sisälle lammashuoneesen, vaan astuu siihen muualta, se on varas ja ryöväri.
2 But he that entrith bi the dore, is the scheepherde of the scheep.
Mutta joka oven kautta sisälle menee, se on lammasten paimen:
3 To this the porter openeth, and the scheep heren his vois, and he clepith his owne scheep bi name, and ledith hem out.
Sille ovenvartia avaa, ja lampaat kuulevat hänen äänensä. Ja omia lampaitansa kutsuu hän nimeltänsä, ja vie heidät ulos.
4 And whanne he hath don out his owne scheep, he goith bifor hem, and the scheep suen hym; for thei knowun his vois.
Ja kuin hän omat lampaansa päästää ulos, käy hän heidän edellänsä, ja lampaat seuraavat häntä, sillä he tuntevat hänen äänensä.
5 But thei suen not an alien, but fleen from hym; for thei han not knowun the vois of aliens.
Mutta ei he muukalaita seuraa, vaan pakenevat häntä; sillä ei he tunne muukalaisten ääntä.
6 Jhesus seide to hem this prouerbe; but thei knewen not what he spak to hem.
Tämän tapauksen sanoi Jesus heille; mutta ei he niitä ymmärtäneet, mitä hän heille sanoi.
7 Therfor Jhesus seide to hem eftsoone, Treuli, treuli, Y seie to you, that Y am the dore of the scheep.
Niin Jesus sanoi taas heille: totisesti, totisesti sanon minä teille: minä olen lammasten ovi.
8 As many as han come, weren nyyt theues and day theues, but the scheep herden not hem.
Kaikki, jotka minun edelläni ovat tulleet, ovat varkaat ja ryövärit: vaan ei lampaat kuulleet heitä.
9 Y am the dore. If ony man schal entre bi me, he schal be sauyd; and he schal go ynne, and schal go out, and he schal fynde lesewis.
Minä olen ovi: jos joku minun kauttani menee sisälle, se tulee autuaaksi, ja menee sisälle ja ulos, ja löytää laitumen.
10 A nyyt theef cometh not, but that he stele, sle, and leese; and Y cam, that thei han lijf, and haue more plenteousli.
Ei varas tule muuta kuin varastamaan ja tappamaan ja kadottamaan: minä tulin, että heillä pitää elämä oleman ja yltäkyllä oleman.
11 I am a good scheepherde; a good scheepherde yyueth his lijf for hise scheep.
Minä olen hyvä paimen: hyvä paimen antaa henkensä lammasten edestä.
12 But an hirid hyne, and that is not the scheepherde, whos ben not the scheep his owne, seeth a wolf comynge, and he leeueth the scheep, and fleeth; and the wolf rauyschith, and disparplith the scheep.
Mutta palkollinen, joka ei ole paimen, eikä lampaat ole hänen omansa: kuin hän näkee suden tulevan, niin hän jättää lampaat ja pakenee; ja susi raatelee ja haaskaa lampaat.
13 And the hirid hyne fleeth, for he is an hirid hyne, and it parteyneth not to hym of the scheep.
Mutta palkollinen pakenee, sillä hän on palkollinen, eikä tottele lampaista.
14 Y am a good scheepherde, and Y knowe my scheep, and my scheep knowen me.
Minä olen hyvä paimen, joka tunnen omani, ja minä tunnetaan myös omiltani,
15 As the fadir hath knowun me, Y knowe the fadir; and Y putte my lijf for my scheep.
Niinkuin Isä minun tuntee, ja minä tunnen Isän: ja panen henkeni lammasten edestä.
16 Y haue othere scheep, that ben not of this foolde, and it bihoueth me to brynge hem togidir, and thei schulen here my vois; and it schal be maad o foolde and o scheepherde.
Minulla on myös muita lampaita, jotka ei ole tästä lammashuoneesta: ne pitää minun myös tänne saattaman: ja he saavat kuulla minun ääneni; ja pitää oleman yksi lammashuone ja yksi paimen.
17 Therfor the fadir loueth me, for Y putte my lijf, that eftsoone Y take it.
Sentähden Isä minua rakastaa, sillä minä panen henkeni, että minä sen jälleen otan.
18 No man takith it fro me, but Y putte it of my silf. Y haue power to putte it, and Y haue power to take it ayen. This maundement Y haue takun of my fadir.
Ei ota kenkään sitä minulta, vaan minä panen sen itsestäni. Minulla on valta sitä panna, ja minulla on valta sitä taas ottaa. Sen käskyn minä sain Isältäni.
19 Eft dissencioun was maad among the Jewis for these wordis.
Niin tuli taas riita Juudalaisten keskellä näiden puhetten tähden.
20 And many of hem seiden, He hath a deuel, and maddith; what heren ye hym?
Ja moni heistä sanoi: hänellä on perkele, ja hän on mieletöin: mitä te häntä kuultelette?
21 Othere men seiden, These wordis ben not of a man that hath a feend. Whether the deuel may opene the iyen of blynde men?
Mutta muut sanoivat: ei ne ole riivatun puheet: taitaako perkele sokian silmät avata?
22 But the feestis of halewyng of the temple weren maad in Jerusalem, and it was wyntir.
Ja Jerusalemissa oli kirkkomessu, ja talvi oli,
23 And Jhesus walkide in the temple, in the porche of Salomon.
Ja Jesus käveli templissä Salomon esihuoneessa.
24 Therfor the Jewis camen aboute hym, and seiden to hym, Hou long takist thou awei oure soule? if thou art Crist, seie thou to vs opynli.
Niin Juudalaiset piirittivät hänen ja sanoivat hänelle: kuinka kauvan sinä meitä pidät ylös? Jos olet Kristus, niin sano meille selkiästi.
25 Jhesus answerde to hem, Y speke to you, and ye bileuen not; the werkis that Y do in the name of my fadir, beren witnessyng of me.
Jesus vastasi heitä: minä olen sen teille sanonut, ja ette usko: ne työt, jotka minä teen Isäni nimeen, todistavat minusta.
26 But ye bileuen not, for ye ben not of my scheep.
Mutta ette usko: sillä ette ole minun lampaistani, miinkuin minä teille sanoin.
27 My scheep heren my vois, and Y knowe hem, and thei suen me.
Minun lampaani kuulevat minun ääneni, ja minä tunnen heidät, ja he seuraavat minua:
29 That thing that my fadir yaf to me, is more than alle thingis; and no man may rauysche fro my fadris hoond.
Minun isäni, joka ne minulle antoi, on suurempi kaikkia: ja ei kenkään taida heitä reväistä minun Isäni kädestä.
30 Y and the fadir ben oon.
Minä ja Isä olemme yhtä.
31 The Jewis token vp stoonys, to stoone hym.
Niin Juudalaiset poimivat taas kiviä häntä kivittääksensä.
32 Jhesus answerde to hem, Y haue schewide to you many good werkis of my fadir, for which werk of hem stonen ye me?
Jesus vastasi heitä: minä osoitin teille Isältäni monta hyvää työtä: minkä työn tähden niistä te siis minun kivitätte?
33 The Jewis answerden to hym, We stoonen thee not of good werk, but of blasfemye, and for thou, sithen thou art a man, makist thi silf God.
Juudalaiset vastasivat häntä, sanoen: emme sinua hyvän työn tähden kivitä, vaan pilkan tähden, ja että sinä, joka ihminen olet, teet itses Jumalaksi.
34 Jhesus answerde to hem, Whether it is not writun in youre lawe, That Y seide, Ye ben goddis?
Jesus vastasi heitä: eiko teidän laissanne ole kirjoitettu: minä sanon, te olette jumalat?
35 Yf he seide that thei weren goddis, to whiche the word of God was maad, and scripture may not be vndon,
Jos hän ne kutsui jumaliksi, joille Jumalan sana tapahtui, ja ei kirjoitus taideta rikottaa:
36 thilke that the fadir hath halewid, and hath sent in to the world, ye seien, That `thou blasfemest, for Y seide, Y am Goddis sone?
Ja te sanotte hänelle, jonka Isä on pyhittänyt ja lähettänyt maailmaan: sinä pilkkaat Jumalaa, että minä sanoin: minä olen Jumalan Poika.
37 Yf Y do not the werkis of my fadir, nyle ye bileue to me;
Ellen minä tee minun Isäni töitä, niin älkäät minua uskoko.
38 but if Y do, thouy ye wolen not bileue to me, bileue ye to the werkis; that ye knowe and bileue, that the fadir is in me, and Y in the fadir.
Mutta jos minä niitä teen, ja jos ette minua usko, niin uskokaat ne työt, että te tuntisitte ja uskoisitte Isän olevan minussa ja minun hänessä.
39 Therfor thei souyten to take hym, and he wente out of her hondis.
Niin he etsivät taas häntä kiinni ottaaksensa, mutta hän läksi heidän käsistänsä,
40 And he wente eftsoone ouer Jordan, in to that place where Joon was firste baptisynge, and he dwelte there.
Ja meni jälleen toiselle puolelle Jordania, siihen paikkaan, jossa Johannes ensin kasti, ja viipyi siinä.
41 And manye camen to hym, and seiden, For Joon dide no myracle;
Ja monta tuli hänen tykönsä, ja sanoivat: ei Johannes yhtäkään ihmettä tehnyt; mutta kaikki mitä Johannes tästä sanoi, ne ovat todet.
42 and alle thingis what euer Joon seide of this, weren sothe. And many bileueden in hym.
Ja monta uskoi sillä hänen päällensä.
