Job 9
1 Joob answeride, and seide, Verili Y woot, that it is so,
அப்பொழுது யோபு மறுமொழியாக சொன்னது:
2 and that a man comparisound to God schal not be maad iust.
“நீ சொல்வது உண்மையென நான் அறிவேன். மனிதன் எப்படி இறைவனுக்கு முன்பாக நீதிமானாக இருக்கமுடியும்?
3 If he wole stryue with God, he may not answere to God oon for a thousynde.
இறைவனோடு மனிதன் வாதாட விரும்பினால், அவர் கேட்கும் ஆயிரத்தில் ஒரு கேள்விக்குக்கூட அவனால் பதிலளிக்க முடியாது.
4 He is wiys in herte, and strong in myyt; who ayenstood hym, and hadde pees?
இறைவன் இருதயத்தில் ஞானமுள்ளவர், வல்லமையில் பலமுள்ளவர். அவரை எதிர்த்து சேதமின்றித் தப்பினவன் யார்?
5 Which bar hillis fro o place to anothir, and thei wisten not; whiche he distriede in his strong veniaunce.
அவர் மலைகளை அவைகளுக்குத் தெரியாமலே நகர்த்துகிறார்; அவர் தன் கோபத்தில் அவற்றைப் புரட்டிப் போடுகிறார்.
6 Which stirith the erthe fro his place, and the pilers therof schulen `be schakun togidere.
அவர் பூமியின் தூண்கள் அதிரும்படி அதை அதின், இடத்திலிருந்து அசையவைக்கிறார்.
7 Which comaundith to the sunne, and it risith not; and he closith the sterris, as vndur a signet.
அவர் கட்டளையிட்டால், சூரியனும் ஒளி கொடாதிருக்கும்; நட்சத்திரங்களின் ஒளியையும் மூடி மறைக்கிறார்.
8 Which aloone stretchith forth heuenes, and goith on the wawis of the see.
அவர் தனிமையாகவே வானங்களை விரித்து, கடல் அலைகளின்மேல் மிதிக்கிறார்.
9 Which makith Ariture, and Orionas, and Hiadas, `that is, seuene sterris, and the innere thingis of the south.
சப்தரிஷி, மிருகசீரிடம், கார்த்திகை நட்சத்திரங்களையும், தென்திசை நட்சத்திரக் கூட்டங்களையும் படைத்தவர் அவரே.
10 Which makith grete thingis, and that moun not be souyt out, and wondurful thingis, of whiche is noon noumbre.
அவர் ஆழ்ந்தறிய முடியாத அதிசயங்களையும் அவர் கணக்கிடமுடியாத அற்புதங்களையும் செய்கிறார்.
11 If he cometh to me, `that is, bi his grace, Y schal not se hym; if he goith awey, `that is, in withdrawynge his grace, Y schal not vndurstonde.
அவர் என்னைக் கடந்து செல்லும்போது, அவரை என்னால் காணமுடியாது; அவர் என் அருகில் வரும்போது, அவரை என்னால் பார்க்க முடியாது.
12 If he axith sodeynli, who schal answere to hym? ethir who may seie to hym, Whi doist thou so?
அவர் எதையும் பறித்தெடுத்தால் அதை யாரால் நிறுத்த முடியும்? ‘நீர் என்ன செய்கிறீர்?’ என யாரால் அவரிடம் கேட்க முடியும்?
13 `God is he, whos wraththe no man may withstonde; and vndur whom thei ben bowid, that beren the world.
இறைவன் தமது கோபத்தைக் கட்டுப்படுத்தவில்லை; ராகாப் என்ற பெரிய விலங்கைச் சேர்ந்தவர்களும் அவருடைய காலடியில் அடங்கிக் கிடந்தனர்.
14 Hou greet am Y, that Y answere to hym, and speke bi my wordis with hym?
“இப்படியிருக்க, நான் அவரோடு எப்படி விவாதம் செய்வேன்? அவரோடு வாதாடும் வார்த்தைகளை நான் எங்கே கண்டுபிடிப்பேன்?
15 Which also schal not answere, thouy Y haue ony thing iust; but Y schal biseche my iuge.
நான் நீதிமானாயிருந்தாலும் என்னால் அவருடன் வழக்காட முடியாது; எனது நீதிபதியிடம் இரக்கத்திற்காக மன்றாடத்தான் என்னால் முடியும்.
16 And whanne he hath herd me inwardli clepynge, Y bileue not, that he hath herd my vois.
அவர் என் அழைப்பிற்கு இணங்கினாலும், என் விண்ணப்பத்திற்குச் செவிகொடுப்பார் என நான் நம்பவில்லை.
17 For in a whirlewynd he schal al to-breke me, and he schal multiplie my woundis, yhe, without cause.
அவர் என்னைப் புயலினால் தாக்குவார்; காரணமில்லாமல் அவர் என் காயங்களைப் பலுகச்செய்வார்.
18 He grauntith not, that my spirit haue reste, and he fillith me with bittirnesses.
அவர் என்னைத் திரும்பவும் மூச்சுவிட முடியாமல் துன்பத்திற்குள் அமிழ்த்தி விடுவார்.
19 If strengthe is souyt, `he is moost strong; if equyte of doom is souyt, no man dar yelde witnessynge for me.
பெலத்தை மட்டும் எடுத்துக்கொண்டால் அவரே வல்லமையுடையவர். நீதியை எடுத்துக்கொண்டால் அவரை விசாரணைக்கு அழைப்பவன் யார்?
20 If Y wole make me iust, my mouth schal dampne me; if Y schal schewe me innocent, he schal preue me a schrewe.
நான் மாசற்றவனாய் இருந்தாலும் என் வாயே எனக்குக் குற்றத் தீர்ப்பளிக்கும்; நான் குற்றமற்றவனாய் இருந்தாலும், அது என்னைக் குற்றவாளி எனத் தீர்க்கும்.
21 Yhe, thouy Y am symple, my soule schal not knowe this same thing; and it schal anoye me of my lijf.
“நான் குற்றமற்றவன், என்னைப்பற்றி எனக்கு அக்கறையில்லை; என் சொந்த வாழ்வையே நான் வெறுக்கிறேன்.
22 O thing is, which Y spak, he schal waste `bi deth also the innocent and wickid man.
எல்லாம் ஒன்றுதான்; அதினால்தான் நான் சொல்கிறேன், ‘குற்றமற்றவர்களையும், கொடியவர்களையும் அவர் அழிக்கிறார்.’
23 If he betith, sle he onys, and leiye he not of the peynes of innocent men.
வாதை திடீர் மரணத்தைக் கொண்டுவரும்போது, அவர் குற்றமற்றவனின் தவிப்பைக் கண்டு ஏளனம் செய்கிறார்.
24 The erthe is youun in to the hondis of the wickid; he hilith the face of iugis; that if he is not, who therfor is?
நாடு கொடியவர்களின் கையில் விழும்போது, அவர் அதின் நீதிபதிகளின் கண்களை மூடிக் கட்டுகிறார். அவர் அதைச் செய்யவில்லையென்றால் அதைச் செய்வது வேறு யார்?
25 Mi daies weren swiftere than a corour; thei fledden, and sien not good.
“எனது நாட்கள் ஓடுபவனைவிட வேகமாய்ப் போகின்றன; அவை ஒருகண நேர மகிழ்ச்சியும் இல்லாமல் பறந்து போகின்றன.
26 Thei passiden as schippis berynge applis, as an egle fleynge to mete.
நாணல் படகுகள் வேகமாகச் செல்வது போலவும், தங்கள் இரைமேல் பாய்கிற கழுகுகளைப் போலவும் அவை பறந்து போகின்றன.
27 Whanne Y seie, Y schal not speke so; Y chaunge my face, and Y am turmentid with sorewe.
‘நான் என் குற்றச்சாட்டை மறந்து, என் முகபாவனையை மாற்றி சிரிப்பேன்’ என்று சொன்னாலும்,
28 Y drede alle my werkis, witynge that thou `woldist not spare the trespassour.
நான் இன்னும் என் பாடுகளைக் குறித்துத் திகிலடைகிறேன்; நீர் என்னைக் குற்றமற்றவனாக எண்ணமாட்டீர் என்றும் அறிவேன்.
29 Sotheli if Y am also thus wickid, whi haue Y trauelid in veyn?
நான் ஏற்கெனவே குற்றவாளி என்பது தீர்க்கப்பட்டிருக்க, ஏன் வீணாய் போராட வேண்டும்?
30 Thouy Y am waischun as with watris of snow, and thouy myn hondis schynen as moost cleene,
நான் என்னை பனிநீரினால் கழுவினாலும், என் கைகளை சோப்பினால் சுத்தப்படுத்தினாலும்,
31 netheles thou schalt dippe me in filthis, and my clothis, `that is, werkis, schulen holde me abhomynable.
நீர் என்னைச் சேற்றின் குழிக்குள் அமிழ்த்துவீர். அப்பொழுது என் சொந்த உடைகளே என்னை அருவருக்கும்.
32 Trewli Y schal not answere a man, which is lijk me; nether that may be herd euenli with me in doom.
“நான் அவருக்குப் பதிலளிக்கவும், அவரை நீதிமன்றத்தில் எதிர்க்கவும் அவர் என்னைப்போல் ஒரு மனிதனல்ல.
33 `Noon is, that may repreue euer eithir, and sette his hond in bothe.
எங்கள் இருவருக்கும் நடுவராயிருந்து தீர்ப்புக்கூறவும், எங்கள் இருவர்மேலும் தம் கையை வைத்து,
34 Do he awei his yerde fro me, and his drede make not me aferd.
என்னிடத்திலிருந்து இறைவனது தண்டனையின் கோலை அகற்ற ஒருவர் இருந்தால் நலமாயிருக்குமே; அவருடைய பயங்கரம் என்னைப் பயமுறுத்தாது.
35 Y schal speke, and Y schal not drede hym; for Y may not answere dredynge.
நான் அவருக்குப் பயப்படாமல் பேசுவேன், ஆனால் இப்போதைய நிலையில் அப்படிப் பேச என்னால் முடியாது.
