Job 42
1 Forsothe Joob answeride to the Lord, and seide,
Gióp thưa với Ðức Chúa Trời rằng:
2 Y woot, that thou maist alle thingis, and no thouyt is hid fro thee.
Tôi biết rằng Chúa có thể làm được mọi sự, Chẳng có ý chỉ nào Chúa lấy làm khó lắm.
3 Who is this, that helith counsel with out kunnyng? Therfor Y spak vnwiseli, and tho thingis that passiden ouer mesure my kunnyng.
Kẻ nầy là ai, không hiểu biết gì, lại dám che ám ý chỉ của Chúa? Phải, tôi đã nói những điều tôi không hiểu đến, Tức các sự lạ lùng quá cho tôi, mà tôi chẳng thông biết.
4 Here thou, and Y schal speke; Y schal axe thee, and answere thou to me.
Hỡi Chúa, xin hãy nghe, tôi sẽ nói; Tôi sẽ hỏi Chúa, Chúa sẽ chỉ dạy cho tôi.
5 Bi heryng of eere Y herde thee, but now myn iye seeth thee.
Trước lỗ tai tôi có nghe đồn về Chúa, Nhưng bây giờ, mắt tôi đã thấy Ngài:
6 Therfor Y repreue me, and do penaunce in deed sparcle and aische.
Vì vậy, tôi lấy làm gớm ghê tôi, Và ăn năn trong tro bụi.
7 Forsothe aftir that the Lord spak these wordis to Joob, he seide to Eliphat Themanytes, My stronge veniaunce is wrooth ayens thee, and ayens thi twey frendis; for ye `spaken not bifor me riytful thing, as my seruaunt Joob dide.
Xảy sau khi Ðức Giê-hô-va đã phán các lời ấy với Gióp, thì Ngài phán cùng Ê-li-pha, người Thê-man, mà rằng: Cơn thạnh nộ ta nổi lên cùng ngươi và hai bạn hữu ngươi; bởi vì các ngươi không có nói về ta cách xứng đáng, y như Gióp, kẻ tôi tớ ta, đã nói.
8 Therfor take ye to you seuene bolis, and seuene rammes; and go ye to my seruaunt Joob, and offre ye brent sacrifice for you. Forsothe Joob, my seruaunt, schal preie for you; Y schal resseyue his face, that foli be not arettid to you; for ye `spaken not bifor me riytful thing, as my seruaunt Joob dide.
Vậy bây giờ, hãy bắt bảy con bò đực và bảy con chiên đực đi đến Gióp, kẻ tôi tớ ta, mà vì các ngươi dâng lên một của lễ thiêu; rồi Gióp, kẻ tôi tớ ta sẽ cầu nguyện cho các ngươi; vì ta sẽ nhậm lời người, kẻo e ta đãi các ngươi tùy theo sự ngu muội của các ngươi; vì các ngươi không có nói về ta cách xứng đáng, như Gióp, kẻ tôi tớ ta, đã nói.
9 Therfor Eliphat Themanytes, and Baldach Suythes, and Sophar Naamathites, yeden, and diden, as the Lord hedde spoke to hem; and the Lord resseyuede the face of Joob.
Vậy, Ê-li-pha, người Thê-man, Binh-đát, người Su-a, Sô-pha, người Na-a-ma, bèn đi và làm theo điều Ðức Giê-hô-va đã phán dặn mình; rồi Ðức Giê-hô-va nhậm lời của Gióp.
10 Also the Lord was conuertid to the penaunce of Joob, whanne he preiede for hise frendis. And the Lord addide alle thingis double, whiche euere weren of Joob.
Vậy, khi Gióp đã cầu nguyện cho bạn hữu mình rồi, Ðức Giê-hô-va bèn đem người ra khỏi cảnh khốn người, và ban lại cho Gióp bằng gấp hai các tài sản mà người đã có trước.
11 Sotheli alle hise britheren, and alle hise sistris, and alle that knewen hym bifore, camen to hym; and thei eeten breed with hym in his hows, and moueden the heed on hym; and thei coumfortiden hym of al the yuel, which the Lord hadde brouyt in on hym; and thei yauen to hym ech man o scheep, and o goldun eere ring.
Hết thảy anh em người, chị em người, và những người quen biết Gióp từ trước, đều đến thăm và ăn bữa với người tại trong nhà người. Chúng chia buồn và an ủy người về các tai họa mà Ðức Giê-hô-va đã khiến giáng trên người; mỗi người đều cho Gióp một nén bạc và một cái vòng vàng.
12 Forsothe the Lord blesside the laste thingis of Joob, more than the bigynnyng of hym; and fouretene thousynde of scheep weren maad to hym, and sixe thousinde of camels, and a thousynde yockis of oxis, and a thousynde femal assis.
Như vậy, Ðức Giê-hô-va ban phước cho buổi già của Gióp nhiều hơn lúc đang thì: người được mười bốn ngàn chiên, sáu ngàn lạc đà, một ngàn đôi bò, và một ngàn lừa cái.
13 And he hadde seuene sones, and thre douytris;
Người cũng có bảy con trai và ba con gái.
14 and he clepide the name of o douytir Dai, and the name of the secounde douytir Cassia, and the name of the thridde douytir `An horn of wymmens oynement.
Người đặt tên cho con gái lớn là Giê-mi-ma; con thứ nhì là Kê-xia, và con thứ ba là Kê-ren-Ha-cúc.
15 `Sotheli no wymmen weren foundun so faire in al erthe, as the douytris of Joob; and her fadir yaf eritage to hem among her britheren.
Trong toàn xứ chẳng có người nữ nào lịch sự bằng ba con gái của Gióp. Cha của họ cho họ một phần cơ nghiệp trong anh em họ.
16 Forsothe Joob lyuede aftir these betyngis an hundrid and fourti yeer, and `siy hise sones, and the sones of hise sones, `til to the fourthe generacioun;
Sau việc ấy, Gióp còn sống một trăm bốn mươi năm; người thấy các con trai, cháu, chít mình đến đời thứ tư.
17 and he was deed eld, and ful of daies.
Rồi Gióp qua đời tuổi cao tác lớn.
