Job 25

1 Forsothe Baldach Suytes answeride, and seide,

૧પછી બિલ્દાદ શૂહીએ ઉત્તર આપ્યો અને કહ્યું,

2 Power and drede is anentis hym, that is, God, that makith acordyng in hise hiye thingis.

૨“સત્તા અને ભય તેમની પાસે છે; તે પોતાના ઉચ્ચ સ્થાનોમાં શાંતિ કરે છે.

3 Whether noumbre is of hise knyytis? and on whom schyneth not his liyt?

૩શું તેમના સૈન્યોની કંઈ ગણતરી છે? અને કોના ઉપર તેમનું અજવાળું નથી પ્રકાશતું?

4 Whether a man comparisound to God mai be iustified, ether borun of a womman mai appere cleene?

૪ઈશ્વરની સમક્ષ મનુષ્ય કેવી રીતે ન્યાયી ઠરે? અને સ્ત્રીજન્ય કેવી રીતે પવિત્ર હોઈ શકે?

5 Lo! also the moone schyneth not, and sterris ben not cleene in `his siyt;

૫જુઓ, તેમની દૃષ્ટિમાં ચંદ્ર પણ નિસ્તેજ છે; અને તારાઓ પણ નિર્મળ નથી.

6 hou miche more a man rot, and the sone of a man a worm, is vncleene `and vile, if he is comparisound to God.

૬તો પછી મનુષ્ય જે કીડા જેવો છે, અને મનુષ્યપુત્ર જે કીડો જ છે, તે કેવી રીતે પવિત્ર હોઈ શકે!”
