Job 21
1 Forsothe Joob answeride, and seide,
तब अय्योब ने उत्तर दिया:
2 Y preye, here ye my wordis, and do ye penaunce.
“अब ध्यान से मेरी बात सुन लो और इससे तुम्हें सांत्वना प्राप्त हो.
3 Suffre ye me, that Y speke; and leiye ye aftir my wordis, if it schal seme worthi.
मेरे उद्गार पूर्ण होने तक धैर्य रखना, बाद में तुम मेरा उपहास कर सकते हो.
4 Whether my disputyng is ayens man, that skilfuli Y owe not to be sori?
“मेरी स्थिति यह है कि मेरी शिकायत किसी मनुष्य से नहीं है, तब क्या मेरी अधीरता असंगत है?
5 Perseyue ye me, and be ye astonyed; and sette ye fyngur on youre mouth.
मेरी स्थिति पर ध्यान दो तथा इस पर चकित भी हो जाओ; आश्चर्यचकित होकर अपने मुख पर हाथ रख लो.
6 And whanne Y bithenke, Y drede, and tremblyng schakith my fleisch.
उसकी स्मृति मुझे डरा देती है; तथा मेरी देह आतंक में समा जाती है.
7 Whi therfor lyuen wickid men? Thei ben enhaunsid, and coumfortid with richessis.
क्यों दुर्वृत्त दीर्घायु प्राप्त करते जाते हैं? वे उन्नति करते जाते एवं सशक्त हो जाते हैं.
8 Her seed dwellith bifor hem; the cumpeny of kynesmen, and of sones of sones dwellith in her siyt.
इतना ही नहीं उनके तो वंश भी, उनके जीवनकाल में समृद्ध होते जाते हैं.
9 Her housis ben sikur, and pesible; and the yerde of God is not on hem.
उनके घरों पर आतंक नहीं होता; उन पर परमेश्वर का दंड भी नहीं होता.
10 The cow of hem conseyuede, and caluede not a deed calf; the cow caluyde, and is not priued of hir calf.
उसका सांड़ बिना किसी बाधा के गाभिन करता है; उसकी गाय बच्चे को जन्म देती है, तथा कभी उसका गर्भपात नहीं होता.
11 Her litle children goen out as flockis; and her yonge children `maken fulli ioye with pleies.
उनके बालक संख्या में झुंड समान होते हैं; तथा खेलते रहते हैं.
12 Thei holden tympan, and harpe; and ioien at the soun of orgun.
वे खंजरी एवं किन्नोर की संगत पर गायन करते हैं; बांसुरी का स्वर उन्हें आनंदित कर देता है.
उनके जीवन के दिन तो समृद्धि में ही पूर्ण होते हैं, तब वे एकाएक अधोलोक में प्रवेश कर जाते हैं. (Sheol h7585)
14 Whiche men seiden to God, Go thou awei fro us; we nylen the kunnyng of thi weies.
वे तो परमेश्वर को आदेश दे बैठते हैं, ‘दूर हो जाइए मुझसे!’ कोई रुचि नहीं है हमें आपकी नीतियों में.
15 Who is Almiyti God, that we serue him? and what profitith it to vs, if we preien him?
कौन है यह सर्वशक्तिमान, कि हम उनकी सेवा करें? क्या मिलेगा, हमें यदि हम उनसे आग्रह करेंगे?
16 Netheles for her goodis ben not in her hond, `that is, power, the counsel of wickid men be fer fro me.
तुम्हीं देख लो, उनकी समृद्धि उनके हाथ में नहीं है, दुर्वृत्तों की परामर्श मुझे स्वीकार्य नहीं है.
17 Hou ofte schal the lanterne of wickid men be quenchid, and flowing schal come on hem, and God schal departe the sorewis of his stronge veniaunce?
“क्या कभी ऐसा हुआ है कि दुष्टों का दीपक बुझा हो? अथवा उन पर विपत्ति का पर्वत टूट पड़ा हो, क्या कभी परमेश्वर ने अपने कोप में उन पर नाश प्रभावी किया है?
18 Thei schulen be as chaffis bifor the face of the wynd; and as a deed sparcle, whiche the whirlewynd scaterith abrood.
क्या दुर्वृत्त वायु प्रवाह में भूसी-समान हैं, उस भूसी-समान जो तूफान में विलीन हो जाता है?
19 God schal kepe the sorewe of the fadir to hise sones; and whanne he hath yoldun, thanne he schal wite.
तुम दावा करते हो, ‘परमेश्वर किसी भी व्यक्ति के पाप को उसकी संतान के लिए जमा कर रखते हैं.’ तो उपयुक्त हैं कि वह इसका दंड प्रभावी कर दें, कि उसे स्थिति बोध हो जाए.
20 Hise iyen schulen se her sleyng; and he schal drynke of the stronge veniaunce of Almyyti God.
उत्तम होगा कि वह स्वयं अपने नाश को देख ले; वह स्वयं सर्वशक्तिमान के कोप का पान कर ले.
21 For whi what perteyneth it to hym of his hows aftir hym, thouy the noumbre of his monethis be half takun awey?
क्योंकि जब उसकी आयु के वर्ष समाप्त कर दिए गए हैं तो वह अपनी गृहस्थी की चिंता कैसे कर सकता है?
22 Whether ony man schal teche God kunnyng, which demeth hem that ben hiye?
“क्या यह संभव है कि कोई परमेश्वर को ज्ञान दे, वह, जो परलोक के प्राणियों का न्याय करते हैं?
23 This yuel man dieth strong and hool, riche and blesful, `that is, myrie.
पूर्णतः सशक्त व्यक्ति का भी देहावसान हो जाता है, उसका, जो निश्चिंत एवं संतुष्ट था.
24 Hise entrails ben ful of fatnesse; and hise boonys ben moistid with merowis.
जिसकी देह पर चर्बी थी तथा हड्डियों में मज्जा भी था.
25 Sotheli anothir wickid man dieth in the bittirnesse of his soule, and with outen ony richessis.
जबकि अन्य व्यक्ति की मृत्यु कड़वाहट में होती है, जिसने जीवन में कुछ भी सुख प्राप्त नहीं किया.
26 And netheles thei schulen slepe togidere in dust, and wormes schulen hile hem.
दोनों धूल में जा मिलते हैं, और कीड़े उन्हें ढांक लेते हैं.
27 Certis Y knowe youre wickid thouytis, and sentensis ayens me.
“यह समझ लो, मैं तुम्हारे विचारों से अवगत हूं, उन योजनाओं से भी, जिनके द्वारा तुम मुझे छलते रहते हो.
28 For ye seien, Where is the hows of the prince? and where ben the tabernaclis of wickid men?
तुम्हारे मन में प्रश्न उठ रहा है, ‘कहां है उस कुलीन व्यक्ति का घर, कहां है वह तंबू, जहां दुर्वृत्त निवास करते हैं?’
29 Axe ye ech of `the weie goeris; and ye schulen knowe, that he vndurstondith these same thingis,
क्या तुमने कभी अनुभवी यात्रियों से प्रश्न किया है? क्या उनके साक्ष्य से तुम परिचित हो?
30 that an yuel man schal be kept in to the dai of perdicioun, and schal be led to the dai of woodnesse.
क्योंकि दुर्वृत्त तो प्रलय के लिए हैं, वे कोप-दिवस पर बंदी बना लिए जाएंगे.
31 Who schal repreue hise weies bifor hym? and who schal yelde to hym tho thingis, whiche he hath doon?
कौन उसे उसके कृत्यों का स्मरण दिलाएगा? कौन उसे उसके कृत्यों का प्रतिफल देगा?
32 He schal be led to the sepulcris; and he schal wake in the heep of deed men.
जब उसकी मृत्यु पर उसे दफन किया जाएगा, लोग उसकी कब्र पर पहरेदार रखेंगे.
33 He was swete to the `stoonys, ether filthis, of helle; and drawith ech man aftir hym, and vnnoumbrable men bifor him.
घाटी की मिट्टी उसे मीठी लगती है; सभी उसका अनुगमन करेंगे, जबकि असंख्य तो वे हैं, जो उसकी यात्रा में होंगे.
34 Hou therfor coumforten ye me in veyn, sithen youre answeris ben schewid to `repugne to treuthe?
“तुम्हारे निरर्थक वचन मुझे सांत्वना कैसे देंगे? क्योंकि तुम्हारे प्रत्युत्तर झूठी बातों से भरे हैं!”
