Job 19
1 Forsothe Joob answeride, and seide, Hou long turmente ye my soule,
૧ત્યારે અયૂબે જવાબ આપ્યો અને કહ્યું,
2 and al to-breken me with wordis?
૨“તમે ક્યાં સુધી મારા જીવને ત્રાસ આપશો? અને શબ્દોથી મને કચડ્યા કરશો?
3 Lo! ten sithis ye schenden me, and ye ben not aschamed, oppressynge me.
૩આ દસ વખત તમે મને મહેણાં માર્યાં છે; મારી સાથે નિર્દય રીતે વર્તતાં તમને શરમ આવતી નથી.
4 Forsothe and if Y `koude not, myn vnkynnyng schal be with me.
૪જો મેં પાપ કર્યુ પણ હોય, તો તે મારી ભૂલ મારી પાસે રહી.
5 And ye ben reisid ayens me, and repreuen me with my schenschipis.
૫જો તમારે મારી વિરુદ્ધ અભિમાન કરવું જ હોય, અને મારી વિરુદ્ધ દલીલ રજૂ કરીને મારું અપમાન કરવું હોય;
6 Nameli now vndurstonde ye, that God hath turmentid me not bi euene doom, and hath cumpassid me with hise betyngis.
૬તો હવે સમજી લો કે ઈશ્વરે મને ઊથલાવી પાડ્યો છે તેમણે મને ફાંસલામાં પકડી લીધો છે.
7 Lo! Y suffrynge violence schal crye, and no man schal here; Y schal crye loude, and `noon is that demeth.
૭જુઓ, અન્યાયને લીધે હું બૂમો પાડું છું પણ મારી દાદ સાંભળવામાં આવતી નથી; હું મદદને માટે પોકાર કરું છું પણ મને ન્યાય મળતો નથી.
8 He bisette aboute my path, and Y may not go; and he settide derknessis in my weie.
૮ઈશ્વરે મારો માર્ગ એવો બંધ કરી દીધો છે કે હું આગળ ચાલી શકતો નથી, તેમણે મારા રસ્તાઓને અંધકારથી ઢાંકી દીધા છે.
9 He hath spuylid me of my glorye, and hath take awey the coroun fro myn heed.
૯તેમણે મારો વૈભવ છીનવી લીધો છે, મારા માથા પરનો મુગટ ઉતારી નાંખ્યો છે.
10 He hath distried me on ech side, and Y perischide; and he hath take awei myn hope, as fro a tre pullid vp bi the roote.
૧૦તેમણે ચારે બાજુથી મને તોડી પાડ્યો છે અને મારું આવી બન્યું છે; મારી આશાઓ ઝાડની જેમ મૂળમાંથી ઉખેડી નાખી છે.
11 His stronge veniaunce was wrooth ayens me; and he hadde me so as his enemye.
૧૧વળી તેમણે પોતાનો રોષ મારી વિરુદ્ધ પ્રગટ કર્યો છે; તેઓ મને પોતાના શત્રુ જેવો ગણે છે.
12 Hise theues camen togidere, and `maden to hem a wei bi me; and bisegiden my tabernacle in cumpas.
૧૨તેનું આખું સૈન્ય મારી સામે આવે છે; તેઓ મારી વિરુદ્ધ પોતાનો માર્ગ બાંધે છે. અને મારા તંબુની આસપાસ છાવણી નાખે છે.
13 He made fer my britheren fro me; and my knowun as aliens yeden awei fro me.
૧૩તેમણે મારા ભાઈઓને મારાથી દૂર કર્યા છે; મારા સ્વજનોમાં હું અજાણ્યા જેવો થઈ ગયો છું.
14 My neiyboris forsoken me; and thei that knewen me han foryete me.
૧૪સગાં વહાલાંઓએ મને તજી દીધો છે. મારા દિલોજાન મિત્રો પણ મને ભૂલી ગયા છે.
15 The tenauntis of myn hows, and myn handmaydis hadden me as a straunger; and Y was as a pilgrym bifor her iyen.
૧૫મારા ઘરમાં રહેનારાઓ તથા મારી દાસીઓ પણ મને પારકા જેવો ગણે છે. તેઓની નજરમાં હું એક વિદેશી જેવો છું.
16 Y clepide my seruaunt, and he answeride not to me; with myn owne mouth Y preiede hym.
૧૬હું મારા નોકરને બોલાવું છું પણ તે મને ઉત્તર આપતો નથી જો કે હું મદદ માટે આજીજી કરું છું તોપણ તે જવાબ આપતો નથી.
17 My wijf wlatide my breeth; and Y preiede the sones of my wombe.
૧૭મારો શ્વાસ મારી પત્નીને ધિક્કારજનક લાગે છે; મારા સગા ભાઈઓ અને બહેનોમારે આજીજી કરવી પડે છે.
18 Also foolis dispisiden me; and whanne Y was goon awei fro hem, thei bacbitiden me.
૧૮નાનાં બાળકો પણ મારો તિરસ્કાર કરે છે; જ્યારે હું ઊઠું છું ત્યારે તેઓ મારી વિરુદ્ધ બોલે છે.
19 Thei, that weren my counselouris sum tyme, hadden abhomynacioun of me; and he, whom Y louede moost, was aduersarie to me.
૧૯મારા ગાઢ મિત્રો જેમને હું પ્રેમ કરતો હતો મારો તિરસ્કાર કરે છે; મારા સૌ પ્રિયજનો મારી વિરુદ્ધ થઈ ગયા છે.
20 Whanne fleischis weren wastid, my boon cleuyde to my skyn; and `oneli lippis ben left aboute my teeth.
૨૦મારું માંસ તથા ચામડી મારા હાડકાંને ચોંટી ગયા છે. માંડમાંડ મારો જીવ બચ્યો છે.
21 Haue ye merci on me, haue ye merci on me, nameli, ye my frendis; for the hond of the Lord hath touchid me.
૨૧હે મારા મિત્રો, મારા પર દયા કરો, કેમ કે ઈશ્વરના હાથે મારો સ્પર્શ કર્યો છે.
22 Whi pursuen ye me, as God pursueth; and ben fillid with my fleischis?
૨૨શા માટે ઈશ્વરની જેમ તમે મને સતાવો છો; મારા શરીરથી પણ તમને સંતોષ નથી થતો શું?
23 Who yyueth to me, that my wordis be writun? Who yyueth to me,
૨૩અરે, મારા શબ્દો હમણાં જ લખવામાં આવે! અરે, પુસ્તકમાં તે નોંધી લેવામાં આવે તો કેવું સારું!
24 that tho be writun in a book with an yrun poyntil, ethir with a plate of leed; ethir with a chisel be grauun in a flynt?
૨૪અરે, તે લોખંડની કલમથી તથા સીસાથી, સદાને માટે ખડક પર કોતરવામાં આવે તો તે કેવું સારું!
25 For Y woot, that myn ayenbiere lyueth, and in the laste dai Y schal rise fro the erthe;
૨૫હું જાણું છું કે મારો ઉદ્ધાર કરનાર જીવે છે. અને આખરે તે પૃથ્વી પર ઊભા રહેશે;
26 and eft Y schal be cumpassid with my skyn, and in my fleisch Y schal se God, my sauyour.
૨૬મારા શરીરનો આવી રીતે નાશ થયા પછી પણ, હું મારા ઈશ્વરને જોઈશ.
27 Whom Y my silf schal se, and myn iyen schulen biholde, and not an other man. This myn hope is kept in my bosum.
૨૭તેમને હું પોતાની જાતે જોઈશ; મારી આંખો તેમને જોશે, અજાણ્યાની નહિ મારું હૃદય નિર્બળ થાય છે.
28 Whi therfor seien ye now, Pursue we hym, and fynde we the roote of a word ayens hym?
૨૮જો તમે કહો, ‘અમે તેને કેવો સતાવીશું,’ કેમ કે તેનામાં આ બાબતનું મૂળ મળ્યું છે,’
29 Therfor fle ye fro the face of the swerd; for the swerd is the vengere of wickidnessis, and wite ye, that doom schal be.
૨૯તો તલવારથી તમે બીહો, કેમ કે કોપ તલવારની શિક્ષા લાવે છે, તેથી તમને ખબર પડશે કે ત્યાં ન્યાય છે.”
