< Job 15 >

1 Forsothe Eliphat Themanytes answeride, and seide,
Nake Elifazu ũrĩa Mũtemaani akĩũria atĩrĩ:
2 Whether a wise man schal answere, as spekynge ayens the wynd, and schal fille his stomac with brennyng, `that is, ire?
“Mũndũ mũũgĩ no acookie ũhoro na kwĩgereria, kana aiyũrie nda yake na rũhuho ruumĩte na irathĩro?
3 For thou repreuest hym bi wordis, which is not lijk thee, and thou spekist that, that spedith not to thee.
No eciirĩrĩre na ciugo cia tũhũ, kana na mĩario ĩtarĩ bata?
4 As myche as is in thee, thou hast avoidid drede; and thou hast take awey preyeris bifor God.
No wee-rĩ, nĩũracambia ũhoro wa gwĩtigĩra Ngai, na ũkagirĩrĩria ũhoro wa andũ kwĩrutĩra Mũrungu.
5 For wickidnesse hath tauyt thi mouth, and thou suest the tunge of blasfemeris.
Mehia maku nĩmo mataaraga kanua gaku; nawe ũthuurĩte kwaria na rũrĩmĩ rwa mũndũ mwara.
6 Thi tunge, and not Y, schal condempne thee, and thi lippis schulen answere thee.
Kanua gaku wee mwene nĩko karagũtuĩra ciira, ti gakwa: nayo mĩromo yaku wee mwene ĩkaaria ũira wa gũgũũkĩrĩra.
7 Whether thou art borun the firste man, and art formed bifor alle little hillis?
“Wee nĩwe mũndũ wa mbere gũciarwo? Wee-rĩ, waciarirwo mbere ya irĩma igĩe ho?
8 Whether thou herdist the counsel of God, and his wisdom is lower than thou?
Wee nĩũthikagĩrĩria ndundu ya Ngai? Wee wiki-rĩ, nowe ũrigĩtie na ũũgĩ?
9 What thing knowist thou, whiche we knowen not? What thing vndurstondist thou, whiche we witen not?
Nĩ atĩa ũũĩ ithuĩ tũtooĩ? Nĩ ũmenyo ũrĩkũ ũrĩ naguo ithuĩ tũtarĩ?
10 Bothe wise men and elde, myche eldre than thi fadris, ben among vs.
Tũrĩ na athuuri marĩ na mbuĩ na arĩa akũrũ mũno, andũ akũrũ o na gũkĩra thoguo.
11 Whether it is greet, that God coumforte thee? But thi schrewid wordis forbeden this.
Ndũiganĩtwo nĩ ũhoorerania wa Mũrungu, o na kana ũhoro ũcio warĩirio na ũhooreri?
12 What reisith thin herte thee, and thou as thenkynge grete thingis hast iyen astonyed?
Ngoro yaku ĩgũteete nĩkĩ, na nĩ kĩĩ kĩratũma ũikare ũkiunaga maitho,
13 What bolneth thi spirit ayens God, that thou brynge forth of thi mouth siche wordis?
nĩguo werekerie marakara maku kũrĩ Mũrungu, o na ũgaitũrũra ciugo ta icio kuuma kanua gaku?
14 What is a man, that he be with out wem, and that he borun of a womman appere iust?
“Mũndũ akĩrĩ kĩ, atĩ no ahote gũtuĩka mũtheru, o na mũndũ ũciarĩtwo nĩ mũndũ-wa-nja nake akĩrĩ kĩĩ, atĩ no ahote gũtuĩka mũthingu?
15 Lo! noon among hise seyntis is vnchaungable, and heuenes ben not cleene in his siyt.
Angĩkorwo Ngai ndangĩhota kwĩhoka andũ arĩa ake aamũre-rĩ, na kũngĩkorwo o na igũrũ ti gũtheru maitho-inĩ make-rĩ,
16 How myche more a man abhomynable and vnprofitable, that drynkith wickidnesse as water?
mũndũ akĩrĩ kĩ atĩ amwĩhoke? Mũndũ nĩ mwaganu na nĩ kĩmaramari, anyuuaga waganu ta maaĩ!
17 I schal schewe to thee, here thou me; Y schal telle to thee that, that Y siy.
“Wee ta thikĩrĩria na nĩngũgũtaarĩria; reke ngwĩre ũrĩa nyonete,
18 Wise men knoulechen, and hiden not her fadris.
ngwĩre ũrĩa andũ arĩa oogĩ moigĩte, matekũhitha ũndũ o na ũmwe wa ũhoro ũrĩa maaheirwo nĩ maithe mao,
19 To whiche aloone the erthe is youun, and an alien schal not passe bi hem.
(o acio oiki maaheetwo bũrũri hĩndĩ ĩrĩa gũtaarĩ mũndũ wa kũngĩ watuĩkanagia gatagatĩ-inĩ kao):
20 A wickid man is proud in alle hise daies; and the noumbre of hise yeeris and of his tirauntrie is vncerteyn.
Atĩrĩ, mũndũ mwaganu akoragwo na mĩnyamaro matukũ make mothe. Matukũ mothe ma ũcio ũtarĩ tha-rĩ, maigĩirwo o mĩnyamaro.
21 The sown of drede is euere in hise eeris, and whanne pees is, he supposith euere tresouns.
Aiguaga o mĩgambo ya kũmakania mũno; hĩndĩ ĩrĩa maũndũ mothe moneka ta marĩ mega-rĩ, atunyani makamũtharĩkĩra.
22 He bileueth not that he may turne ayen fro derknessis to liyt; and biholdith aboute on ech side a swerd.
Ndarĩ na kĩĩrĩgĩrĩro gĩa gwĩthara kuuma nduma-inĩ; etereirio kũũragwo na rũhiũ rwa njora.
23 Whanne he stirith hym to seke breed, he woot, that the dai of derknessis is maad redi in his hond.
Orũũraga agĩcaragia irio, oragie atĩrĩ, ‘Irĩ na kũ?’ Aikaraga amenyete atĩ mũthenya wa nduma ũrĩ o hakuhĩ.
24 Tribulacioun schal make hym aferd, and angwisch schal cumpas hym, as a kyng which is maad redi to batel.
Mĩnyamaro na ruo rwa ngoro nĩcio imũmakagia; imũtooragia taarĩ mũthamaki wĩhaarĩirie kũmũtharĩkĩra,
25 For he helde forth his hond ayens God, and he was maad strong ayens Almyyti God.
nĩ ũndũ ainainagĩria Mũrungu ngundi, na akangʼathĩria Mwene-Hinya-Wothe,
26 He ran with neck reisid ayens God, and he was armed with fat nol.
akamũguthũkĩra angʼathĩtie, arĩ na ngo yake mata ya hinya.
27 Fatnesse, that is, pride `comyng forth of temporal aboundaunce, hilide his face, `that is, the knowyng of vndurstondyng, and outward fatnesse hangith doun of his sidis.
“O na gũtuĩka ũthiũ wake nĩ mũnoru, na njohero yake ĩkaneneha nĩ kũnora-rĩ,
28 He schal dwelle in desolat citees, and in deseert, `ethir forsakun, housis, that ben turned in to biriels.
agaatũũraga matũũra maanangĩku, na aikarage nyũmba itatũũragwo nĩ mũndũ, nyũmba itigairie o kũmomoka ituĩke ihumbu cia mahiga.
29 He schal not be maad riche, nether his catel schal dwelle stidefastli; nether he schal sende his roote in the erthe,
Ndagacooka gũkorwo arĩ mũtongu, naguo ũtonga wake ndũgatũũra, o na kana indo ciake itheereme kũu bũrũri-inĩ.
30 nether he schal go awei fro derknessis. Flawme schal make drie hise braunchis, and he schal be takun a wey bi the spirit of his mouth.
Ndakahota kũũrĩra nduma; rũrĩrĩmbĩ nĩrũkahoohia thuuna ciake, nayo mĩhũmũ ya kanua ka Ngai nĩĩkamweheria.
31 Bileue he not veynli disseyued bi errour, that he schal be ayenbouyt bi ony prijs.
Nĩatige kwĩheenia na ũndũ wa kwĩhoka maũndũ ma tũhũ, nĩgũkorwo gũtirĩ kĩndũ makaamũrehere.
32 Bifor that hise daies ben fillid, he schal perische, and hise hondis schulen wexe drye;
Ihinda rĩake rĩtanakinya-rĩ, nĩakarĩhio mũigana wake wothe, na honge ciake itikarura.
33 he schal be hirt as a vyne in the firste flour of his grape, and as an olyue tre castinge awei his flour.
Agaatuĩka ta mũthabibũ ũhũrũrĩtwo thabibũ ciaguo itarĩ njĩru, ahaane ta mũtamaiyũ ũraita kĩro kĩaguo.
34 For the gaderyng togidere of an ipocrite is bareyn, and fier schal deuoure the tabernaclis of hem, that taken yiftis wilfuli.
Nĩgũkorwo andũ a thiritũ ya arĩa matooĩ Ngai matũũraga marĩ thaata, na mwaki nĩũgaacina hema cia arĩa mendete mahaki.
35 He conseyuede sorewe, and childide wickidnesse, and his wombe makith redi tretcheries.
Magĩaga nda cia mathĩĩna, na magaciara waganu; nda ciao ithugundaga o maheeni.”
