Job 12
1 Sotheli Joob answeride, and seide,
तब अय्योब ने उत्तर दिया:
2 Therfor ben ye men aloone, that wisdom dwelle with you?
“निःसंदेह तुम्हीं हो वे लोग, तुम्हारे साथ ही ज्ञान का अस्तित्व मिट जाएगा!
3 And to me is an herte, as and to you, and Y am not lowere than ye; for who knowith not these thingis, whiche ye knowen?
किंतु तुम्हारे समान बुद्धि मुझमें भी है; तुमसे कम नहीं है मेरा स्तर. किसे बोध नहीं है इस सत्य का?
4 He that is scorned of his frend, as Y am, schal inwardli clepe God, and God schal here hym; for the symplenesse of a iust man is scorned.
“अपने मित्रों के लिए तो मैं हंसी मज़ाक का विषय होकर रह गया हूं, मैंने परमेश्वर को पुकारा और उन्होंने इसका प्रत्युत्तर भी दिया; और अब यहां खरा तथा निर्दोष व्यक्ति उपहास का पात्र हो गया है!
5 A laumpe is dispisid at the thouytis of riche men, and the laumpe is maad redi to a tyme ordeyned.
सुखी धनवान व्यक्ति को दुःखी व्यक्ति घृणित लग रहा है. जो पहले ही लड़खड़ा रहा है, उसी पर प्रहार किया जा रहा है.
6 The tabernaclis of robberis ben plenteuouse, `ether ful of goodis; and boldli thei terren God to wraththe, whanne he hath youe alle thingis in to her hondis.
उन्हीं के घरों को सुरक्षित छोड़ा जा रहा है, जो हिंसक-विनाशक हैं, वे ही सुरक्षा में निवास कर रहे हैं, जो परमेश्वर को उकसाते रहे हैं, जो सोचते हैं कि ईश्वर अपनी मुट्ठी में है!
7 No wondur, ax thou beestis, and tho schulen teche thee; and axe thou volatilis of the eir, and tho schulen schewe to thee.
“किंतु अब जाकर पशुओं से परामर्श लो, अब वे तुम्हें शिक्षा देने लगें, आकाश में उड़ते पक्षी तुम्हें सूचना देने लगें;
8 Speke thou to the erthe, and it schal answere thee; and the fischis of the see schulen telle tho thingis.
अन्यथा पृथ्वी से ही वार्तालाप करो, वही तुम्हें शिक्षा दे, महासागर की मछलियां तुम्हारे लिए शिक्षक हो जाएं.
9 Who knowith not that the hond of the Lord made alle these thingis?
कौन है तुम्हारे मध्य जो इस सत्य से अनजान है, कि यह सब याहवेह की कृति है?
10 In whos hond the soule is of ech lyuynge thing, and the spirit, `that is, resonable soule, of ech fleisch of man.
किसका अधिकार है हर एक जीवधारी जीवन पर तथा समस्त मानव जाति के श्वास पर?
11 Whether the eere demeth not wordis, and the chekis of the etere demen sauour?
क्या कान शब्दों की परख नहीं करता, जिस प्रकार जीभ भोजन के स्वाद को परखती है?
12 Wisdom is in elde men, and prudence is in myche tyme.
क्या, वृद्धों में बुद्धि पायी नहीं जाती है? क्या लंबी आयु समझ नहीं ले आती?
13 Wisdom and strengthe is at God; he hath counsel and vndurstondyng.
“विवेक एवं बल परमेश्वर के साथ हैं; निर्णय तथा समझ भी उन्हीं में शामिल हैं.
14 If he distrieth, no man is that bildith; if he schittith in a man, `noon is that openith.
जो कुछ उनके द्वारा गिरा दिया जाता है, उसे फिर से बनाया नहीं जा सकता; जब वह किसी को बंदी बना लेते हैं, असंभव है उसका छुटकारा.
15 If he holdith togidere watris, alle thingis schulen be maad drie; if he sendith out tho watris, tho schulen distrie the erthe.
सुनो! क्या कहीं सूखा पड़ा है? यह इसलिये कि परमेश्वर ने ही जल रोक कर रखा है; जब वह इसे प्रेषित कर देते हैं, पृथ्वी जलमग्न हो जाती है.
16 Strengthe and wisdom is at God; he knowith bothe hym that disseyueth and hym that is disseyued.
वही हैं बल एवं ज्ञान के स्रोत; धोखा देनेवाला तथा धोखा खानेवाला दोनों ही उनके अधीन हैं.
17 And he bryngith conselours in to a fonned eende, and iugis in to wondryng, ethir astonying.
वह मंत्रियों को विवस्त्र कर छोड़ते हैं तथा न्यायाधीशों को मूर्ख बना देते हैं.
18 He vnbindith the girdil of kyngis, and girdith her reynes with a coorde.
वह राजाओं द्वारा डाली गई बेड़ियों को तोड़ फेंकते हैं तथा उनकी कमर को बंधन से सुसज्जित कर देते हैं.
19 He ledith her prestis with out glorie, and he disseyueth the principal men, `ethir counselours;
वह पुरोहितों को नग्न पांव चलने के लिए मजबूर कर देते हैं तथा उन्हें, जो स्थिर थे, पराजित कर देते हैं.
20 and he chaungith the lippis of sothefast men, and takith awei the doctrine of elde men.
वह विश्वास सलाहकारों को अवाक बना देते हैं तथा बड़ों की समझने की शक्ति समाप्त कर देते हैं
21 He schedith out dispisyng on princes, and releeueth hem, that weren oppressid.
वह आदरणीय व्यक्ति को घृणा के पात्र बना छोड़ते हैं. तथा शूरवीरों को निकम्मा कर देते हैं.
22 Which schewith depe thingis fro derknessis; and bryngith forth in to liyt the schadewe of deeth.
वह घोर अंधकार में बड़े रहस्य प्रकट कर देते हैं, तथा घोर अंधकार को प्रकाश में ले आते हैं.
23 Which multiplieth folkis, and leesith hem, and restorith hem destried in to the hool.
वही राष्ट्रों को उन्नत करते और फिर उन्हें नष्ट भी कर देते हैं. वह राष्ट्रों को समृद्ध करते और फिर उसे निवास रहित भी कर देते हैं.
24 Which chaungith the herte of princes of the puple of erthe; and disseyueth hem, that thei go in veyn out of the weie.
वह विश्व के शासकों की बुद्धि शून्य कर देते हैं तथा उन्हें रेगिस्तान प्रदेश में दिशाहीन भटकने के लिए छोड़ देते हैं.
25 Thei schulen grope, as in derknessis, and not in liyt; and he schal make hem to erre as drunken men.
वे घोर अंधकार में टटोलते रह जाते हैं तथा वह उन्हें इस स्थिति में डाल देते हैं, मानो कोई मतवाला लड़खड़ा रहा हो.
