1 Who schal yyue watir to myn heed, and a welle of teeris to myn iyen? And Y schal biwepe dai and niyt the slayn men of the douyter of my puple.
who? to give: if only! head my water and eye my fountain tears and to weep by day and night [obj] slain: killed daughter people my
2 Who schal yyue me in to a wildirnesse of dyuerse weigoeris? And I schal forsake my puple, and Y schal go awei fro hem. For whi alle ben auowteris, and the cumpenyes of trespassouris ayens the lawe;
who? to give: if only! me in/on/with wilderness lodging to journey and to leave: forsake [obj] people my and to go: went from with them for all their to commit adultery assembly to act treacherously
3 and thei helden forth her tunge as a bouwe of leesyng, and not of treuthe Thei ben coumfortid in erthe, for thei yeden out fro yuel to yuel, and thei knewen not me, seith the Lord.
and to tread [obj] tongue their bow their deception and not to/for faithfulness to prevail in/on/with land: country/planet for from distress: evil to(wards) distress: evil to come out: come and [obj] me not to know utterance LORD
4 Ech man kepe hym fro his neiybore, and haue no trist in ony brother of hym; for whi ech brother disseyuyng schal disseyue, and ech frend schal go gilefuli.
man: anyone from neighbor his to keep: careful and upon all brother: male-sibling not to trust for all brother: male-sibling to assail to assail and all neighbor slander to go: went
5 And a man schal scorne his brother, and schal not speke treuthe; for thei tauyten her tunge to speke leesyng; thei traueliden to do wickidli.
and man: anyone in/on/with neighbor his to deceive and truth: true not to speak: speak to learn: teach tongue their to speak: speak deception to pervert be weary
6 Thi dwellyng is in the myddis of gile; in gile thei forsoken to knowe me, seith the Lord.
to dwell you in/on/with midst deceit in/on/with deceit to refuse to know [obj] me utterance LORD
7 Therfor the Lord of oostis seith these thingis, Lo! Y schal welle togidere, and Y schal preue hem; for whi what other thing schal Y do fro the face of the douyter of my puple?
to/for so thus to say LORD Hosts look! I to refine them and to test them for how? to make: do from face: because daughter people my
8 The tunge of hem is an arowe woundynge, and spak gile; in his mouth he spekith pees with his frend, and priueli he settith tresouns to hym.

9 Whether Y schal not visite on these thingis, seith the Lord, ether schal not my soule take veniaunce on siche a folc?

10 On hillis Y schal take wepyng and mournyng, and weilyng on the faire thingis of desert, for tho ben brent; for no man is passynge forth, and thei herden not the vois of hym that weldith; fro a brid of the eir `til to scheep, tho passiden ouer, and yeden awei.
upon [the] mountain: mount to lift: raise weeping and wailing and upon habitation wilderness dirge for to kindle from without man: anyone to pass and not to hear: hear voice: sound livestock from bird [the] heaven and till animal to wander to go: went
11 And Y schal yyue Jerusalem in to heepis of grauel, and in to dennes of dragouns; and Y schal yyue the citees of Juda in to desolacioun, for ther is no dwellere.
and to give: if only! [obj] Jerusalem to/for heap habitation jackal and [obj] city Judah to give: if only! devastation from without to dwell
12 Who is a wise man that schal vndurstonde these thingis, and to whom the word of the mouth of the Lord schal be maad, that he telle this? Whi the erthe perischide, it is brent as desert, for noon is that passith?
who? [the] man [the] wise and to understand [obj] this and which to speak: speak lip LORD to(wards) him and to tell her upon what? to perish [the] land: country/planet to kindle like/as wilderness from without to pass
13 And the Lord seide, For thei forsoken my lawe, which Y yaf to hem, and thei herden not my vois, and thei yeden not therynne;
and to say LORD upon to leave: forsake they [obj] instruction my which to give: if only! to/for face: before their and not to hear: obey in/on/with voice my and not to go: walk in/on/with her
14 and thei yeden aftir the schrewidnesse of her herte, and aftir Baalym, which thei lerneden of her fadris;
and to go: follow after stubbornness heart their and after [the] Baal which to learn: teach them father their
15 therfor the Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, Lo! Y schal fede this puple with wermod, and Y schal yyue to hem drynke the watir of galle.
to/for so thus to say LORD Hosts God Israel look! I to eat them [obj] [the] people [the] this wormwood and to water: drink them water poison
16 And Y schal scatere hem among hethene men, whiche thei and her fadris knewen not; and Y schal sende swerd aftir hem, til thei ben wastid.
and to scatter them in/on/with nation which not to know they(masc.) and father their and to send: depart after them [obj] [the] sword till to end: destroy I [obj] them
17 The Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, Biholde ye, and clepe ye wymmen `that weilen, and come thei; and sende ye to tho wymmen that ben wise, and haste thei.
thus to say LORD Hosts to understand and to call: call to to/for to chant and to come (in): come and to(wards) [the] wise to send: depart and to come (in): come
18 Haste thei, and take thei weilynge on you; youre iyen brynge doun teeris, and youre iyelidis flowe with watris;
and to hasten and to lift: raise upon us wailing and to go down eye our tears and eyelid our to flow water
19 for the vois of weilyng is herd fro Sion. Hou ben we distried, and schent greetli? for we han forsake the lond, for oure tabernaclis ben forsakun.
for voice: sound wailing to hear: hear from Zion how? to ruin be ashamed much for to leave: forsake land: country/planet for to throw tabernacle our
20 Therfor, wymmen, here ye the word of the Lord, and youre eeris take the word of his mouth; and teche ye youre douytris weilyng, and ech womman teche hir neiybore mournyng.
for to hear: hear woman word LORD and to take: recieve ear your word lip his and to learn: teach daughter your wailing and woman: another neighbor her dirge
21 For whi deth stiede bi youre wyndows, it entride in to youre housis, to leese litle children with outforth, and yonge men fro the stretis.
for to ascend: rise death in/on/with window our to come (in): come in/on/with citadel: palace our to/for to cut: eliminate infant from outside youth from street/plaza
22 Speke thou, the Lord seith, these thingis, And the deed bodi of a man schal fal doun as a toord on the face of the cuntrei, and as hei bihynde the bak of the mowere, and noon is that gaderith.
to speak: speak thus utterance LORD and to fall: fall carcass [the] man like/as dung upon face: surface [the] land: country and like/as sheaf from after [the] to reap and nothing to gather
23 The Lord seith these thingis, A wise man haue not glorie in his wisdom, and a strong man haue not glorie in his strengthe, and a riche man haue not glorie in hise richessis; but he that hath glorie,
thus to say LORD not to boast: boast wise in/on/with wisdom his and not to boast: boast [the] mighty man in/on/with might his not to boast: boast rich in/on/with riches his
24 haue glorie in this, to wite and knowe me, for Y am the Lord, that do merci and dom and riytfulnesse in erthe. For whi these thingis plesen me, seith the Lord.
that if: except if: except in/on/with this to boast: boast [the] to boast: boast be prudent and to know [obj] me for I LORD to make: do kindness justice and righteousness in/on/with land: country/planet for in/on/with these to delight in utterance LORD
25 Lo! daies comen, seith the Lord, and Y schal visite on ech man that hath prepucie vncircumcidid; on Egipt,
behold day to come (in): come utterance LORD and to reckon: punish upon all to circumcise in/on/with foreskin
26 and on Juda, and on Edom, and on the sones of Amon, and on Moab, and on alle men that ben clippid on long heer, and dwellen in desert; for whi alle hethene men han prepucie, forsothe al the hous of Israel ben vncircumcidid in herte.
upon Egypt and upon Judah and upon Edom and upon son: descendant/people Ammon and upon Moab and upon all to cut side [the] to dwell in/on/with wilderness for all [the] nation uncircumcised and all house: household Israel uncircumcised heart
