Jeremiah 47

1 The word of the Lord, that was maad to Jeremye, the profete, ayens Palestyns, bifor that Farao smoot Gaza.

Mao kini ang pulong ni Yahweh nga miabot kang Jeremias nga propeta mahitungod sa mga Filistihanon. Miabot kini nga pulong kaniya sa wala pa gisulong sa Faraon ang Gaza.

2 The Lord seith these thingis, Lo! watris schulen stie fro the north, and tho schulen be as a stronde flowynge, and tho schulen hile the lond, and the fulnesse therof, the citee, and the dwelleris therof. Men schulen crie, and alle the dwelleris of the lond schulen yelle,

“Miingon si Yahweh niini: Tan-awa, motungha ang lunop gikan sa amihanan. Mahisama kini sa milapaw nga suba! Unya lunopan niini ang yuta ug ang tanang anaa niini, ang mga siyudad ug ang mga lumolupyo niini! Busa mosinggit sa pagpakitabang ang tanang tawo, ug magbangotan ang tanang lumolupyo sa yuta.

3 for the noise of boost of armed men, and of werriours of hym, and for mouyng of hise cartis, and multitude of hise wheelis. Fadris bihelden not sones with clumsid hondis,

Sa dahunog sa kusgang mga tiil sa ilang mga kabayo, sa masaba nga mga ligid sa ilang mga karwahe, dili tabangan sa mga amahan ang ilang mga anak tungod sa ilang kaugalingon nga kaluyahon.

4 for the comyng of the dai in which alle Filisteis schulen be destried; and Tirus schal be destried, and Sidon with alle her othere helpis. For the Lord hath destried Palestyns, the remenauntis of the ile of Capadocie.

Tungod kay moabot na ang adlaw nga magalaglag sa tanang mga Filistihanon, aron puohon gikan sa Tiro ug sa Sidon ang tanang mga naluwas nga buot motabang kanila. Tungod kay laglagon man sa hingpit ni Yahweh ang tanang mga Filistihanon, kadtong nahibilin gikan sa isla sa Caftor.

5 Ballidnesse cam on Gaza; Ascolon was stille, and the remenauntis of the valei of tho.

Magpaupaw ang mga taga Gaza. Bahin kang Askelon, manghilom ang mga tawo nga nahibilin sa ilang walog. Hangtod kanus-a paman ninyo samadsamaran ang inyong mga kaugalingon diha sa pagbangotan?

6 Hou longe schalt thou falle doun, O! swerd of the Lord, hou long schalt thou not reste? Entre thou in to thi schethe, be thou refreischid, and be stille.

Pagkaalaot, espada ni Yahweh! Kanus-a ka pa man mohilom? Balik sa imong sakuban! Hunong ug pagpakahilom.

7 Hou schal it reste, whanne the Lord comaundide to it ayens Ascalon, and ayens the see coostis therof, and there hath seide to it?

Unsaon man nimo pagpakahilom, nga gimandoan ka man ni Yahweh. Gipatawag ka niya aron sa pagsulong sa Askelon ug batok sa mga kabaybayonan.”
