Jeremiah 46
1 The word of the Lord, that was maad to Jeremye, the profete, ayens hethene men;
Dies ist das Wort des HERRN, das zu dem Propheten Jeremia geschehen ist wider alle Heiden.
2 to Egipt, ayens the oost of Farao Nechao, kyng of Egipt, that was bisidis the flood Eufrates, in Charchamys, whom Nabugodonosor, kyng of Babiloyne, smoot, in the fourthe yeer of Joachym, sone of Josie, kyng of Juda.
Wider Ägypten. Wider das Heer Pharao Nechos, des Königs in Ägypten, welches lag am Wasser Phrath, zu Karchemis, das der König zu Babel, Nebukadnezar, schlug im vierten Jahr Jojakims, des Sohns Josias, des Königs Judas:
3 Make ye redi scheeld and targat, and go ye forth to batel.
Rüstet Schilde und Tartschen und ziehet in den Streit!
4 Ioyne ye horsis, and stie, ye knyytis; stonde ye in helmes, polische ye speris, clothe ye you in haburiowns.
Spannet Rosse an und lasset Reiter aufsitzen! Setzet die Helme auf und schärfet die Spieße und ziehet Panzer an!
5 What therfor? Y siy hem dredeful, and turnynge the backis, the stronge men of hem slayn; and thei fledden swiftli, and bihelden not; drede was on ech side, seith the Lord.
Wie kommt's aber, daß ich sehe, daß sie verzagt sind und die Flucht geben, und ihre Helden erschlagen sind? Sie fliehen, daß sie sich auch nicht umsehen. Schrecken ist um und um, spricht der HERR.
6 A swift man schal not fle, and a strong man gesse not hym silf to be saued; at the north, bisidis the flood Eufrates, thei weren ouer comun, and fellen doun.
Der Schnelle kann nicht entfliehen noch der Starke entrinnen. Gegen Mitternacht am Wasser Phrath sind sie gefallen und daniedergelegt.
7 Who is this, that stieth as a flood, and hise swelewis wexen greet as of floodis?
Wo ist nun der, so heraufzog wie ein Strom, und seine Wellen sich erhuben wie des Wassers?
8 Egipte stiede at the licnesse of a flood, and hise wawis schulen be mouyd as floodis; and it schal seie, Y schal stie, and hile the erthe; Y schal leese the citee, and dwelleris therof.
Ägypten zog herauf wie ein Strom, und seine Wellen erhuben sich wie des Wassers und sprach: Ich will hinaufziehen, das Land bedecken und die Stadt verderben samt denen, die drinnen wohnen.
9 Stie ye on horsis, and make ye ful out ioie in charis; and stronge men, come forth, Ethiopie and Libie, holdynge scheeld, and Lidii, takynge and schetynge arowis.
Wohlan, sitzet auf die Rosse, rennet mit den Wagen, lasset die Helden ausziehen, die Mohren und aus Put, die den Schild führen, und die Schützen aus Lydien!
10 Forsothe that dai of the Lord God of oostis is a dai of veniaunce, that he take veniaunce of hise enemyes; the swerd schal deuoure, and schal be fillid, and schal greetli be fillid with the blood of hem; for whi the slayn sacrifice of the Lord of oostis is in the lond of the north, bisidis the flood Eufrates.
Denn dies ist der Tag des HERRN HERRN Zebaoth, ein Tag der Rache, daß er sich an seinen Feinden räche, da das Schwert fressen und von ihrem Blut voll und trunken werden wird. Denn sie müssen dem HERRN HERRN Zebaoth ein Schlachtopfer werden im Lande gegen Mitternacht, am Wasser Phrath.
11 Thou virgyn, the douyter of Egipt, stie in to Galaad, and take medicyn. In veyn thou schalt multiplie medecyns; helthe schal not be to thee.
Gehe hinauf gen Gilead und hole Salbe, Jungfrau, Tochter aus Ägypten! Aber es ist umsonst, daß du viel arzeneiest; du wirst doch nicht heil.
12 Hethene men herden thi schenschipe, and thi yellyng fillide the erthe; for a strong man hurtlide ayens a strong man, and bothe fellen doun togidere.
Deine Schande ist unter die Heiden erschollen, deines Heulens ist das Land voll; denn ein Held fällt über den andern, und liegen beide miteinander danieder.
13 The word which the Lord spak to Jeremye, the profete, on that that Nabugodonosor, kyng of Babiloyne, was to comynge, and to smytynge the lond of Egipt.
Dies ist das Wort des HERRN, das er zu dem Propheten Jeremia redete, da Nebukadnezar, der König zu Babel, daherzog, Ägyptenland zu schlagen:
14 Telle ye to Egipt, and make ye herd in Magdalo, and sowne it in Memphis, and seie ye in Taphnys, Stonde thou, and make thee redi, for a swerd schal deuoure tho thingis that ben bi thi cumpas.
Verkündiget in Ägypten und saget es an zu Migdal; saget es an zu Noph und Thachpanhes und sprechet: Stelle dich zur Wehre; denn das Schwert wird fressen, was um dich her ist.
15 Whi hath thi strong man wexe rotun? He stood not, for the Lord vndurturnede hym.
Wie geht es zu, daß deine Gewaltigen zu Boden fallen und mögen nicht bestehen? Der HERR hat sie so gestürzt.
16 He multipliede falleris, and a man felle doun to his neiybore; and thei schulen seie, Rise ye, and turne we ayen to oure puple, and to the lond of oure birthe, fro the face of swerd of the culuer.
Er macht, daß ihrer viele fallen, daß einer mit dem andern daniederliegt. Da sprachen sie: Wohlauf, laßt uns wieder zu unserm Volk ziehen in unser Vaterland vor dem Schwert des Tyrannen!
17 Clepe ye the name of Farao, kyng of Egipt; the tyme hath brouyt noise.
Daselbst schrie man ihnen nach: Pharao, der König in Ägypten, liegt; er hat sein Gezelt gelassen.
18 Y lyue, seith the kyng, the Lord of oostis is his name; for it schal come as Thabor in hillis, and as Carmele in the see.
So wahr als ich lebe, spricht der König, der HERR Zebaoth heißt, er wird daherziehen so hoch, wie der Berg Tabor unter den Bergen ist und wie der Karmel am Meer ist.
19 Thou dwelleresse, the douyter of Egipt, make to thee vessels of passyng ouer; for whi Memfis schal be in to wildirnesse, and schal be forsakun vnhabitable.
Nimm dein Wandergerät, du Einwohnerin, Tochter Ägypten; denn Noph wird wüst und verbrannt werden, daß niemand drinnen wohnen wird.
20 Egipt is a schapli cow calf, and fair; a prickere fro the north schal come to it.
Ägypten ist ein sehr schönes Kalb; aber es kommt von Mitternacht der Schlächter.
21 Also the hirid men therof, that liueden as caluys maad fatte in the myddis therof, ben turned, and fledden togidere, and miyten not stonde; for the dai of sleynge of hem schal come on hem, the tyme of the visityng of hem.
Und Taglöhner, so drinnen wohnen, sind auch wie gemästete Kälber; aber sie müssen sich dennoch wenden, flüchtig werden miteinander und werden nicht bestehen; denn der Tag ihres Unfalls wird über sie kommen, nämlich die Zeit ihrer Heimsuchung.
22 The vois of hem schal sowne as of bras, for thei schulen haste with oost, and with axis thei schulen come to it. As men kittynge doun trees thei kittiden doun the forest therof,
Sie fahren daher, daß der Harnisch prasselt, und kommen mit Heereskraft und bringen Äxte über sie wie die Holzhauer.
23 seith the Lord, which mai not be noumbrid; thei ben multiplied ouer locustis, and no noumbre is in hem.
Dieselbigen werden hauen also in ihrem Walde, spricht der HERR, daß nicht zu zählen ist; denn ihrer ist mehr weder Heuschrecken, die niemand zählen kann.
24 The douytir of Egipt is schent, and bitakun in to the hond of the puple of the north,
Die Tochter Ägyptens steht mit Schanden, denn sie ist dem Volk von Mitternacht in die Hände gegeben.
25 seide the Lord of oostis, God of Israel. Lo! Y schal visite on the noise of Alisaundre, and on Farao, and on Egipt, and on the goddis therof, and on the kyngis therof, and on hem that tristen in hym.
Der HERR Zebaoth, der Gott Israels, spricht: Siehe, ich will heimsuchen den Regenten zu No und den Pharao und Ägypten samt seinen Göttern und Königen, ja Pharao mit allen, die sich auf ihn verlassen,
26 And Y schal yyue hem in to the hondis of men that seken the lijf of hem, and in to the hondis of Nabugodonosor, kyng of Babiloyne, and in to the hondis of hise seruauntis; and aftir these thingis it schal be enhabitid, as in the formere daies, seith the Lord.
daß ich sie gebe in die Hände denen, die ihnen nach ihrem Leben stehen, und in die Hände Nebukadnezars, des Königs zu Babel, und seiner Knechte. Und danach sollst du bewohnet werden wie vor alters, spricht der HERR.
27 And thou, Jacob, my seruaunt, drede thou not, and Israel, drede thou not; for lo! Y schal make thee saaf fro fer place, and thi seed fro the lond of his caitiftee; and Jacob schal turne ayen, and schal reste, and schal haue prosperite, and noon schal be, that schal make hym aferd.
Aber du, mein Knecht Jakob, fürchte dich nicht, und du, Israel, verzage nicht! Denn siehe, ich will dir aus fernen Landen und deinem Samen aus dem Lande seines Gefängnisses helfen, daß Jakob soll wiederkommen und in Frieden sein und die Fülle haben, und niemand soll ihn schrecken.
28 And Jacob, my seruaunt, nyle thou drede, seith the Lord, for Y am with thee; for Y schal waste alle folkis, to whiche Y castide thee out; but Y schal not waste thee, but Y schal chastise thee in doom, and Y schal not spare thee as innocent.
Darum fürchte dich nicht, du Jakob, mein Knecht, spricht der HERR; denn ich bin bei dir. Mit allen Heiden, dahin ich dich verstoßen habe, will ich's ein Ende machen; aber mit dir will ich's nicht ein Ende machen, sondern ich will dich züchtigen mit Maße, auf daß ich dich nicht ungestraft lasse.
