2 And thei seiden to Jeremye, the profete, Oure preier falle in thi siyt, and preie thou for vs to thi Lord God, for alle these remenauntis; for we ben left a fewe of manye, as thin iyen biholden vs; and thi Lord God telle to vs the weie,
Pea naʻa nau lea kia Selemaia ko e palōfita, “ʻOku mau kole kiate koe, tuku ke lelei ʻi ho ʻao ʻemau kole, pea hūfia ʻakimautolu kia Sihova ko ho ʻOtua, koeʻuhi ko kimautolu kotoa pē ʻoku toe; (he ko e toenga tokosiʻi ʻakimautolu ʻoe tokolahi, ʻo hangē ko ia ʻoku ke mamata ki ai: )
3 bi which we schulen go, and the word which we schulen do.
Koeʻuhi ke fakahā kiate kimautolu ʻe Sihova ko ho ʻOtua ʻae hala te mau ʻalu ai, pea mo e meʻa te mau fai.”
4 Forsothe Jeremye, the profete, seide to hem, Y haue herd; lo! Y preye to oure Lord God, bi youre wordis; Y schal schewe to you ech word, what euere word the Lord schal answere to me, nether Y schal hide ony thing fro you.
5 And thei seiden to Jeremye, The Lord be witnesse of treuthe and of feith bitwixe vs; if not bi ech word, in which thi Lord God schal sende thee to vs, so we schulen do, whether it be good ether yuel.
Pea naʻa nau toki pehē kia Selemaia, “Ke ʻiate kitautolu ʻa Sihova ko e fakamoʻoni angatonu mo moʻoni, kapau ʻe ʻikai te mau fai ʻo hangē ko e ngaahi meʻa kotoa pē ʻaia ʻe fekau ai koe ʻe Sihova ko ho ʻOtua kiate kimautolu.
6 We schulen obeie to the vois of oure Lord God, to whom we senden thee, that it be wel to vs, whanne we han herd the vois of oure Lord God.
Kapau ʻoku lelei ia pe kovi, te mau talangofua ki he leʻo ʻo Sihova ko hotau ʻOtua, ʻaia ʻoku mau fekau koe ki ai; koeʻuhi ke lelei ia kiate kimautolu, ʻoka mau ka talangofua ki he leʻo ʻo Sihova ko hotau ʻOtua.”
7 Forsothe whanne ten daies weren fillid, the word of the Lord was maad to Jeremye.
Pea naʻe hoko ʻo pehē ʻi he hili ʻae ʻaho ʻe hongofulu, naʻe hoko mai ʻae folofola ʻa Sihova kia Selemaia.
8 And he clepide Johannan, the sone of Caree, and alle the princes of werriours, that weren with hym, and al the puple fro the leste `til to the mooste; and he seide to hem,
Pea ne ui kia Sohanani ko e foha ʻo Kalia, mo e houʻeikitau kotoa pē naʻe ʻiate ia, pea mo e kakai kotoa pē ʻo fai mei he iiki ʻo aʻu ki he lalahi,
9 The Lord God of Israel seith these thingis, to whom ye senten me, that Y schulde mekeli sette forth youre preyeris in his siyt.
Pea ne pehē kiate kinautolu, “ʻOku pehē mai ʻa Sihova, ko e ʻOtua ʻo ʻIsileli, ʻaia naʻa mou fekau au ki ai ke ʻatu hoʻomou kole ʻi hono ʻao;
10 If ye resten, and dwellen in this lond, Y schal bilde you, and Y schal not distrie; Y schal plaunte, and Y schal not drawe out; for now Y am plesid on the yuel which Y dide to you.
‘Kapau ʻoku mou loto ke nofo ʻi he fonua ni te u langa ʻakimoutolu pea ʻe ʻikai veteki hifo ʻakimoutolu, te u tō ʻakimoutolu pea ʻe ʻikai taʻaki hake ʻakimoutolu: he ʻoku ou fakatomala ʻi he kovi kuo u fai kiate kimoutolu.
11 Nyle ye drede of the face of the kyng of Babiloyne, whom ye `that ben ferdful, dreden; nyle ye drede hym, seith the Lord, for Y am with you, to make you saaf, and to delyuere fro his hond.
Pea ʻoua naʻa manavahē ki he tuʻi ʻo Papilone, ʻaia ʻoku mou manavahē ki ai;’ ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova, ‘ʻOua naʻa manavahē kiate ia: he ʻoku ou ʻiate kimoutolu ke fakamoʻui ʻakimoutolu, pea ke fakahaofi ʻakimoutolu mei hono nima.
12 And Y schal yyue mercies to you, and Y schal haue merci on you, and Y schal make you dwelle in youre lond.
Pea te u fakahā ʻeku ngaahi ʻaloʻofa kiate kimoutolu, koeʻuhi ke ne ʻofa kiate kimoutolu, pea pule kiate kimoutolu ke mou liliu ki homou fonua.
13 Forsothe if ye seien, We schulen not dwelle in this lond, nether we schulen here the vois of oure Lord God, and seie,
“‘Pea kapau te mou lea ʻo pehē, “ʻE ʻikai te mau nofo ʻi he fonua ni,” pe fai talangofua ki he leʻo ʻo Sihova ko homou ʻOtua.
14 Nai, but we schulen go to the lond of Egipt, where we schulen not se batel, and schulen not here the noise of trumpe, and we schulen not suffre hungur, and there we schulen dwelle;
ʻO lea pehē, ‘ʻE ʻikai; ka te mau ʻalu ki he fonua ko ʻIsipite, pea ʻe ʻikai te mau mamata ai ki he tau, pe fanongo ki he meʻalea, pe fiekaia, pea te mau nofo ʻi ai:”’
15 for this thing, ye remenauntis of Juda, here now the word of the Lord. The Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, If ye setten youre face, for to entre in to Egipt, and if ye entren,
Pea ko ia mou fanongo ni ki he folofola ʻa Sihova, ʻakimoutolu ʻae toenga ʻo Siuta; ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova ʻoe ngaahi kautau, ko e ʻOtua ʻo ʻIsileli; ‘Kapau, ʻoku pau ke hanga atu homou mata ke ʻalu ki ʻIsipite, pea ʻāunofo ʻi ai;
16 to dwelle there, the swerd whiche ye dreden schal take you there in the lond of Egipt, and the hungur for which ye ben angwischid schal cleue to you in Egipt; and there ye schulen die.
17 And alle the men that settiden her face, to entre in to Egipt, and to dwelle there, schulen die bi swerd, and hungur, and pestilence; no man of hem schal dwelle stille, nether schal aschape fro the face of yuel, which Y schal brynge on hem.
Pea ʻe hoko ʻo pehē ki he kau tangata kotoa pē, ʻe fakahangatonu honau mata ke ʻalu ki ʻIsipite ke ʻāunofo ki ai; te nau mate ʻi he heletā, mo e honge, pea mo e mahaki fakaʻauha: pea ʻe ʻikai toe ha tokotaha ʻiate kinautolu, pe hao mei he kovi ʻaia te u fakahoko kiate kinautolu.’
18 For why the Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, As my strong veniaunce and myn indignacioun is wellid togidere on the dwelleris of Jerusalem, so myn indignacioun schal be wellid togidere on you, whanne ye han entrid in to Egipt; and ye schulen be in to sweryng, and in to wondring, and in to cursyng, and in to schenschipe; and ye schulen no more se this place.
He ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova ʻoe ngaahi kautau, ko e ʻOtua ʻo ʻIsileli; ‘ʻO hangē kuo lilingi ʻeku tuputāmaki mo hoku houhau ki he kakai ʻo Selūsalema; ʻe pehē hono lilingi atu ʻa hoku houhau kiate kimoutolu, ʻoka mou ka ʻalu ki ʻIsipite: pea te mou hoko ko e fehiʻanekina, mo e meʻa fakaofo, mo e fakamalaʻia, pea mo e ongoongo kovi; pea ʻe ʻikai te mou toe mamata ki he potu ni.’
19 The word of the Lord is on you, ye remenauntis of Juda; nyle ye entre in to Egipt; ye witinge schulen wite, that Y haue witnessid to you to dai;
“Kuo folofola ʻe Sihova kiate kimoutolu ʻo pehē, ʻakimoutolu ʻae toenga kakai ʻo Siuta; “ʻOua naʻa mou ʻalu ki ʻIsipite: ka mou ʻilo fakapapau kuo u akonaki kiate kimoutolu ʻi he ʻaho ni.
20 for ye han disseyued youre soulis, for ye senten me to youre Lord God, and seiden, Preye thou for vs to oure Lord God, and bi alle thingis what euer thingis oure Lord schal seie to thee, so telle thou to vs, and we schulen do.
He naʻa mou fai kākā ʻi homou loto, ʻi hoʻomou fekau au kia Sihova ko homou ʻOtua, ʻo pehē, ‘Hūfia ʻakimautolu kia Sihova ko hotau ʻOtua; pea hangē ko e meʻa kotoa pē ʻoku folofola ʻaki ʻe Sihova ko hotau ʻOtua, ko ia ʻe fakahā kiate kimautolu, pea te mau fai ia.’
21 And Y telde to you to dai, and ye herden not the vois of youre Lord God, on alle thingis for whiche he sente me to you.
Pea kuo u fakahā ia kiate kimoutolu ʻi he ʻaho ni; ka ʻoku ʻikai te mou talangofua ki he leʻo ʻo Sihova ko homou ʻOtua, ʻi ha meʻa ʻe taha ʻaia kuo ne fekau ai au kiate kimoutolu.
22 Now therfor ye witynge schulen wite, for ye schulen die bi swerd, and hungur, and pestilence, in the place to which ye wolden entre, to dwelle there.
Pea ko ia mou ʻilo fakapapau, te mou mate ʻi he heletā, mo e honge, pea mo e mahaki fakaʻauha, ʻi he potu ʻaia ʻoku mou holi ke ʻalu ʻo ʻāunofo ai.”
